Auto ON/OFF for iPhone?
I cannot find a feature that allows me to set an auto shut off and turn on time for the iPhone... say like 11pm til 7am every night. My Blackberry had it and it was a great way to conserve battery power when you didn't need the phone.
Let me know if it exists and I am missing its set up somehow.
Agreed, I used ot like on my Nokia setting an office profile where the ring volume would not alert the entire floor.
Having a different profile for meetings, in your office, and the golf course is nice. With the iPhone your left with Silent/Not-Silent

I want to have itunes download the podcast first and then sync to my iphone automatically. It is in the reversed order, so I have to manual sync again after the auto downloads. How can I do this? Thank you
Contact the seller because the iPhone seems to be not unlocked. Only
the Carrier to which the iPhone is locked can unlock it. If it is an AT&T
iPhone, return it or sell it because AT&T will not unlock for anyone

Is this an unusual Auto factory connection for iPhone
For the last 10 years or so cars came equipped with a 3.5 mm jack and a “AUX" button on the radio so that one could connect an iPod / iPhone.
However, recently I rented a new 2014 car that did not have this. Instead, it had 3 RCA jacks, Left, Right, and Video. Is anyone familiar with this? Do I now need a different type of cable in case I come across this again?What kind of car is this?
It was a 2014 Ford Expedition. I looked a long time for the 3.5 mm jack, (got help from the rental people also) in the end, I rented a different vehicle, a Nissan SUV. It had the familiar 3.5 mm jack.
This is my first experienced since around 2005 not finding a 3.5 mm jack on a car.
My personal vehicles, have a lightning cable built-in for audio and charging purposes. I'm just trying to be prepared for rental cars in the future.

Why can't I use/build an SD card reader for iPhone?
I have searched and searched for an SD card reader for iPhone. Apple offers the camera connection kit for iPad but for some reason they have made it incompatible with iPhone. This doesn't make a whole lot of since to me unless they are trying to drive users to buy an iPad. So far I have only found one SD card reader that claims to work on iPhone: http://www.zoommediaplus.com/index.html . If they have actually made it work with iPhone and the app is in the App Store then Apple must allow apps to transffer data from SD cards. If so I can make one myself and build the hardware to go with it since the Apple SD card reader doesn't work on iPhone.
I guess my main questions are:

Why don't they?
Can anyone tell me where it is documented that you can not use SD Cart readers with iPhone?
How does ZoomMediaPlus get their app in the App Store if it isn't allowed?

We know the support for their own SD Card Reader is built into iOS 8 because it works with iPads. Therefore, Apple intentionally turned the support OFF for iPhones.

No, Apple forbids any third parties from producing one. They produce them for iPads but they cannot work on iPhones, because Apple chooses not to permit such functionality (i.e., they forbid it). Third parties produce such adapters for Android, so obviously they would want to do the same for iOS so they could sell more.
You're recommendation for AirStash is uninformed. I've tried it and found it to be a clunky time-consuming workaround if all you want to do is import some photos from an SD card. Using Photos in iOS to import photos is a far more elegant solution - an Apple solution that just works (if you purchased an iPad).
If it bothers you that iPhones do not work with Apple's own Lightning SD Card Reader, then I suggest you leave feedback instead of attacking those who point it out:

My Iphone 4 auto shut off when battery 20% and lower. The phone is only 1.5 years old. Can I know why this happen?
Most commom reason for this is faulty battery. You could try Restore with iTunes on computer, at end when prompted, Set Up iPhone as New. If still problem and you have AppleCare, take to Apple for resolution. If no coverage, make Genius reservation and take to Apple Store for quick free battery diagnostic testing.

I want to auto switch off phone at night by 00:00 automatically and switch on phone at 6:00 AM automatically. Is there any setting for this in iphone?Could you be more specific?

I had switches off my iPhone 5 at around 20 percent battery next morning I was not able to switch it on. I tried to get it charged but it didn't showed any sign of charging even when plugged in for about 2 hours. I had to take it to apple care centre but they refused to repair it after confirming the problem with the device as it was out of warranty and asked me to get it replaced for INR 22500. I got it repaired outside but after that also if I switch it off in the same situation it again happens and I have to take it for repair it has happened 3 times after that. Is it a inherent problem in iPhone that it uses battery even when switched off and if in that case battery drain out then refuse to get charged because this is the scenario i have experienced every time?
Apple told you it was unrepairable.... You had it serviced by an unauthorized party. It's now no longer eligible for out of warranty replacement by Apple.
There's really nothing else we can say about it. Find a competent 3rd party repair shop or buy a new one. -
This happened after I did a software update on my phone about a month and a half ago. My phone will randomly shut off by itself and wont come back on. I had spoke with an apple repair person over the phone who told me to hold in the home button and then plug it into my computer. When the iphone said that there was an error and gave him a code he suggested that I send it in. So I did and about a week and a half later I get it back and its on. Yet the problem still occurs. It shut off twice in the same day and for several hours would not come on. When it did I called apple again and they ran a diagnostic on my phone and said it was a software issue. So then why was it not fixed? They told me they could not duplicate the problem. And now it happens about once or twice a week now. And its happening right now. I have it plugged into my computer and the apple logo with a bar below it has been on for about 20 min now. And itunes is still saying "waiting for iphone."

The steps detailed below can help stabilize your iPhone.
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.

Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.

So the left side of my iPhone isn't working at all and I even tried turning it off for 5 minutes about 10 million times but nothing is working. Any suggestions on what to do I need help like ASAP!?
Have you performed a reset? Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off button for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons and await restart.

Sound on my iPhone 4S is messed up, tips and suggestions left by others not working any more. At first turning it off for a while worked, when turned it back in the keyboard click would work for a few keystrokes but now not even that. Had the phone for a bit more than a year, so I know my sound is on and checked all my settings. Posted suggestions from support is not helpful. I guess next step is to take it in for repair? Or is this Apple's way of telling us to upgrade? :(
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
FYI, Apple does not repair iPhones. If basic troubleshooting does not resolve either purchase a new iPhone or take the device to Apple for an Out of Warranty replacement which is $199US for the 4S. -
