Auto sync Will Not Switch Off

I am using a new Windows 7 machine which has iTunes 11.0.2.26 version newly installed.
I have had what looks like a helpful answer to another problem but the solution starts with "Disable auto sync when an iPod/iPhone is connected under iTunes>Preferences>Devices(under Edit menu if using Windows)." Which I have done (I am using windows so went to Edit/preferences/devices and "Prevents iPods and iPads from syncing automatically" box is not selected, in fact it wasn't when i found it.
But still, as soon as I plug my iTouch in it syncs. Any answer would be helpful please to get me past first base on my other problem!

You need to check the box that says "Prevent..... From you description it appears it is not checked

HT1369 my 5th generation nano appears to have frozen with the apple logo appearing continually. It will not switch off and is not recognised any more on my computer.

My 5th generation nano appears to have frozen. It only shows the apple logo and will not switch off. It is also now not recognised by my computer. I have downloaded the latest itunes but that has made no difference.
Any suggestions?

My Iphone 4 will not switch off silent .... Please help.

I Updated My IPhone 4 on the 2nd of Jan 2013 and since then it will not switch off silent mode with the switch on the side of the phone , does any one know what i can do or if there is any other way to switch it off silent ?

First, try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting, but it can clear some glitches.
If this does not help, set it up as new device, shown here:

Z30 will not switch OFF!

I have this error message displayed - www.bberror.com/bb10-0015 - on my Z30.
So the screen is black (looks like it's off), but when i start the reload process in BB Link (with device connected), i get a message asking me to switch off the device. It will not turn off. If i hold the 'off' button down, it just starts up again and then displays the error message once more. What can i do?

Remove the back cover. At the bottom behind that cover is a label with a lot of tiny print on it. In that print will somewhere be STA100-something...that "something" is what determines your exact Z30 model number.

Like insurance, the time to take a backup is before problems happen. Have you tried a hard reset yet? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
This may or may not work the first time around, so be sure to attempt this procedure at least 3 times.

XP Proff will not switch off system when closing down.

I have a brand new installation loaded to a KM3M-V board with Semperon 2200 - everything works perfectly with the exception that when the command is given to shut down Windows, instead of switching off the system I get athe following Windows message "Windows has shut down and it is now safe to switch off your computer" - it then has to be switched off at the mains. How can I fix this? I have built other similar XP Proff systems using the KM4M-V board and never experienced this problem before!

But you can also try to instal APM legacy driver... mybe then it will work... I was having the same problem after turning off acpi option, changing from acpi complaint to standard pc. So i installed apm driver and then it works fine....
I was having some other problem befor when i had acpi ... long story...posted in this forum somewhere i followed instructions by Wonkanoby.. worked fine.

Satellite A200 13M - black screen and will not switch off

I hve just purchased a *Satellite A200 13M*. At first power on, Windows Vista seemed to be correctly installed and internet connection (wifi) was working. The Norton programme was updated, and I was able to download and install OpenOffice. However, as OpenOffice had reported a small amount of disk space available (55 Go) I tried to see the Hard Disk in the browser.
I clicked on Configuration panel, and waited for it to open. At this point, the mouse-arrow froze. After some time, I tried Ctrl, Alt, Del, and the system asked if i wanted to shut down. I did so, and a new screen announced that Windows was shutting down. This screen then froze in its turn. I waited for some time, and then tried to switch off with the power button. The screen went black.
However, the blue power light remains on, the fan is still turning, but nothing i do seems to wake the machine up. I have called the maintenance service of the shop I bought it from (Darty) but they are overloaded and said they would call me back in a day or two (!). Is there anything I can do in the mean-time that might allow me to continue working with the machine.

Sounds strange! But it’s a computer and sometimes such machines do {color:#ff0000}strange{color} things ;)
Anyway… try to remove the battery from the laptop and disconnect the AC adapter.
Wait about 20-30min and connect everything again.
Then try to power up the notebook. If it’s a not a serious issue the notebook should starts again!

IOS6 - the DND service will not switch off

updated to IOS 6 yesterday, switched the Do not disturb button on and then off again,
The screen is showing that the Do not disturn button is switched off - however its still operating and when ever anyone calls me they get the standard message that I cant recieved calls messages or texts.

Ipod will not switch off

Every time I switch off my ipod ie press and hold pause/play button, the screen goes blank then instantly comes back on again. Then the screen goes off and on at regular intervals until fully discharged. Any help resolving this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I know you can reset it by holding the circle and menue buttons at the same time for like 15 seconds... but why its doing it can be many things.

E72 will not switch off, keypad is backlit

About 2 months ago my E72 started not turning off when I tried to. The screen goes blank (ok), but keypad would become backlit, and the phone would not turn off. The power button then does nothing other than "buzz". Battery removal was the only option.
At the same time my wife's E72 started exhibiting similar behavior - but without the keyboard backlit.
Vodafone decided to replace both handsets, but now both new handsets exhibit exactly the same behavior.
This happens probably every 2 out of 5 attempts to turn the phone off.
Given that this problem has exhibited itself on four E72s, this must surely be a S/W, F/W problem?

I have this issue to. I noticed it in December right after the firmware update.

Vacation Auto Reply will not turn off.

I have tried to turn off the "vacation auto reply" by every means possible on the Verizon website. I can make the change, hit save, get a response back saying saved, go to another folder and come back to it, and its back on.
Please provide some help...

My iPhone 4 mic will not switch off when using HF3 headphones

Hi all,
The mic at the base of my iPhone stays active while the headphones are plugged in and I am using the phone. The HF3 mic also works simultaneously, so there is this nasty echo as the two microphones pick up ambient sounds. I have to carry the phone in my hand or set it on a table during a phone call, because if I carry it in my pocket and walk, the scuffing noise is very distracting to me and the person I'm calling.
Not sure if this is an iPhone issue, but I can't find any info on this issue with Etymotic (headphone maker.) Could this be an iOS5 issue?
I have restarted the phone several times but it doesn't help.
