Automate FPN connection

Hi All,
We have setup Consumer Portal and BI producer portal. Requirement is to develop a code that will break the FPN connections according to the Job status. There are jobs running on BI server, so when job completes successfully, the FPN coonnection should automatically enable and BI reports will be avaiable for users else the connection will remain broken/blocked and user will get 'unavailable' message. Do you think its possible to read the backend job status and enable/disable FPN accordingly?
Thanks and Regards,
Sarvanan.

Yes...
Through XML, you can automate the following tasks while setting up a federated portal network:
1. Configure system properties for a proxy server
2. Create a producer instance on a consumer portal
3. Register a consumer portal with a producer portal
4. Create remote delta link content on a consumer portal
5. Perform remote role assignment on a consumer portal
To execute these task you need to first code the XML file accordingly and then upload the file to the portal.

  • Iphone won't automatically re-connect to wi-fi; have to re-enter password each time

    I just "upgraded" my wi-fi router to a Netgear WNDR3400.  Everything seems to be set up fine, and I'm able to connect with our various iphones, ipads, and AppleTV.  But our iphones won't automatically re-connect to the network after the connection is lost, and we have to re-enter the password when we re-connect.
    Kind of stumped here.
    Jim

    These didn't work, but oddly enough what worked was choosing "other" network, typing the name of my network in (even though it already showed up in the list of networks), indicating WEP encryption, and typing the password in.
    Disconnected a few times and was able to automatically connect.
    Kind of odd if you ask me.

  • Car kit automatic A2DP connection

    I'm not entirely sure if this is a problem on my phone, or with the car kit, but I figured if I post on both ends, someone might know the answer.
    With my N95 and N97, as soon as I turn on my car (equipped with Nokia CK-100), I automatically get connected to BT HFP and A2DP profiles.  The car kit will tell me, "Phone connected."  A second later, "Player connected."  With the N8, the car kit will only connect to just the phone automatically.  For the player to connect while the car is on, I have to open up the music player and play a song, which will then force N8 to make the A2DP connection.  So when that happens, you hear a 1.5 second message saying, "Player connected" followed by music that is already 2 to 3 seconds into the song.  I thought it was perhaps the Car Kit getting full with the list of paired devices (memory is for 8 pairings), but clearing the list doesn't help.  I thought it was the Car Kit firmware, so I upgraded it to 4.401, no luck.  Then when I paired my old N97 and N95, both HFP and A2DP connections were made automatically when I boot up my car as expected!  But not the N8.
    Problem with the Car Kit, or problem with S^3?

    The N8 on PR1 is still not a good excuse for the many bugs that it has.  It's just unimaginable that something that worked solidly with S60v3 and S60v5 and suddenly with the improved Symbian OS a mature and functional feature suddenly has a bug?  I just don't understand how that could've made it into the N8.  Is it the OS?  Or is it the BT chipset?  In either case, quality control got missed.
    Thanks, though, for letting me know that I'm not the only one to experience this.  I'll stop trying to fix this as this is a problem outside of my control.

  • Portal 7.3 - Cannot add FPN connection

    Greetings, SDN members.
    I am trying to implement FPN between 7.3 and 7.0 portals, while 7.3 is a consumer, and 7.0 is a producer, respectively.
    I have followed the instructions from help.sap.com and established SSO between the systems.
    While logged on to 7.3 environment with Administrator user, I go to System Administration -> Federated Portal -> Manage my FPN connections, and try to add a new connection. When I click "New" I cannot select "FPN Connection", it is disabled. In the bottom there is an option of selecting existing SLD system and add it to FPN connections - this option is also disabled.
    Looks like there is no additional permission for such an action.
    Did anyone encounter such a problem?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi again,
    I have followed the thread you provided, but still experience the same problem.
    It's strange that there is not special test for RRA connection, although it appears in help.sap.com that there should be a special test for that.

  • Unable to automatically re-connect to wireless network

    When I reboot my iBook, it does not automatically re-connect to my wireless network. I need to click the wireless icon, select "Other", and manually type in the network name and password everytime. I have a standard Linksys Wireless Access Point with SSID Broadcast turned off. Even with the broadcast turned on, it still won't reconnect. I have the password saved in my keychain also, and it is set to automatically connect to it in Network Preferences.
    iBook   Mac OS X (10.3.9)   1.3GHz, 14inch

    I'm having a similar problem, all of the sudden my MacBook won't connect to my Linksys WAP54G, that also has the SSID Broadcast turned off. The difference is that when I turn the SSID Broadcast on it reconnects fine. It's just when it is off that it won't reconnect automatically.
    The weird thing is that at the office I have the same access point with the same settings (SSID Broadcast off, but different WEP passwords) and it connects to it fine.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Automate SQL Connect in essbase

    Is there a way to automate the connection to SQL database while retrieving the data in essbase during rules file build. So everytime I have to update the metadata or fact data I won't have to type in the username and password for the SQL Data Source.
    Thanks ahead of time.

    You should write a maxl shell script (embedded in a batch script )which should call the essbase metadata and dataloads from the sql and later parameterize your essbase login credentials in the Batch script.
    For example.
    Content of batch script
    @echo off
    set d=%date:~-4,4%%date:~-7,2%%date:~0,2%
    set d=%d: =_%
    set t=%time:~0,2%%time:~3,2%%time:~6,2%
    set t=%t: =0%
    set ESSUSER=admin
    Set ESSPWD=Password
    set ESSSERVER=localhost
    set ESSAPP=Sample
    set ESSDB=Basic
    set DBUSER=admin123
    set DBPWD= password
    SET ESSBASE SERVER PATH=D:\Hyperion\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\Essbase\EssbaseServer
    set MaxlScript=D:\Hyperion\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\Essbaseserver\essbaseserver1\bin
    essmsh "D:\Load.mxl" %ESSUSER% %ESSPWD% %ESSSERVER% %dt% %tm%
    Maxlscript Content
    spool on to "D:/dataload.log";
    set timestamp on;
    login $ESSUSER $ESSPWD on $ESSSERVER;
    display session all;
    alter system kill request all;
    alter system logout session all force;
    import database $ESSAPP.$ESSDB data connect as $DBUSER identified by $DBPWD using server rules_file Sample.rul on error write to "d:\rule.log" ;
    spool off;
    logout;
    exit;
    I hope this one helps you

  • How do I set my iPhone 3G to sync automatically when connected to my computer?

    How do I set my iPhone 3G to sync automatically when connected to my computer? The button to "Open iTunes when this iPhone is connected" is checked, and iTunes opens automatically, but it no longer syncs automatically as it did before the last update.  Now I have to hit the "Sync" button each time; much less convenient as I have to frequently update my calendar.

    On my iTunes at the top menu, in the Edit drop down menu, at the bottom is Preferences, click that, then pick icon Devices. Then in the middle there are check boxes, one has Prevent ipods,iPhones, ipads from syncing automatically. Try to leave this box empty. See if this helps.

  • How can i do to automatically see connected PCs on my network?

    Hi, all
    I've a problem, and i hope you'll be so kind to answer: i've just bought the new MacBook, but as i connect to my LAN i can't see in the Finder "lateral bar" the other PCs connected to the network.
    If I click "cmd+k", and digit "smb://computers.address", i can see them and do whatever i want, but if i restart the system, OSX doesn't automatically reconnect to those PCs.
    I've noticed that if i connect to the University network, or to any other network, i automatically see other connected computers, without doing anything, in the Finder "lateral bar".
    Why in my local network it doesn't happen?

    Hi, K T, and thanks for the welcome!!
    I'm sure i've not explained properly my problem, english is not my first language
    The fact is that Snow Leopard doesn't automatically see other computers connected to my home network, although it does immediately if i connect to other networks.
    The question is: do i have to change some parameters of my network settings? From my Windows PC i can see all the other PCs, and i can also login in my MacBook and see the Shared Folders!! But from the MacBook i can't see anything, if i don't use "smb://..."

  • Satellite C660-108 - No Automatic internet connection

    I bought a replacement laptop last weekend - a Toshiba C660 - 108 - which is giving me a problem.
    I cannot get the computer to connect automatically to the internet router (Orange) as it fails to connect initially even though the network is always visible. I then require to go upstairs to the router, press the wifi button and then i can connect. This works fine until either i lose connection or switch off when i find again I have to repeat the process.
    We have three other Toshiba laptops in the house which all work happily and automatically.
    Have tried to connect with virus protection disabled and no different so no conflict there I think.
    Have checked that i have latest driver and do.
    Have noticed though that when i bring up the list of available networks within range, my connection does not have a check box for "Allow to connect automatically" whereas the others listed do. I have checked all properties and boxes are ticked to allow auto connection.
    When i use my laptop at work it connects to the network automatically without any problem ( work's is a BTConnect router).
    Have spent all week looking for a fix for this on forums and would be obliged if anyone can tell me what's able to be done to allow an automatic connection.

    I purched a similar model (C660-11K) from Amazon UK 5-days ago. Initially all seemed okay and then I had problems connecting to the internet.
    After much checking and testing (WLAN card and router) I stumbled upon the fact that I could connect and use the internet when the laptop was connected to the charger but not when running on battery power. Wierd!
    So then I went to Realtek website, downloaded and installed the latest driver for the RLT8188CE Wireless LAN. Everthing is now working correctly: on mains or battery.
    I hope that this is of help to you, and gets you working.

  • Automatic online connection at wake-up or start?

    After a recent security upgrade, my Macbook no longer automatically connects to the home network after starting from sleep mode. It searches for the home network but couldn't find it and asks for manual selection. I've already indicated the preferred network in the Network section of the Preferences but still doesn't work. Is there anything else I should do to fix this? It takes too long to get online each time after starting the computer. Home network is wireless.

    Have you tried deleting the network from the list and re-adding it?

  • IPhone 4 won't automatically re-connect to wi-fi or BT

    I have a 14 month old iPhone 4 running iOS 5. Ever since the last 4.x OS upgrade my phone will no longer automatically switch from the 3g cellular connection to wifi. I thought perhaps the issue would be resolved in iOS 5 but no joy. I've tried doing a full reset from the phone, a restore from itunes, deleting apps, running no apps after a restore/reset, nothing seems to work other than turning the phone off and back on again. The phone will maintain the wifi connection for as long as I remain at home but when I leave and return home again - no wifi connection until I turn the phone off and back on again. The same issue with the BT connection to my car. I have to turn off the phone and back on again to make it connect. Once connected all works fine. I'll add that after doing a restore or reset the phone will work normally for a few times but goes back to the same problems. Is this a hardware issue? It doesn't seem like it since it will work for a little while. My wife's iphone 4 works perfectly under the same conditions so there's nothing wrong with my network. Suggestions?
    Along with the recent problems with icloud bookmark syncing amoung devices and keychain constantanly asking for passwords on my mail accounts on my macs since the last bunch of updates these multiple problems are really getting anyoying fast.
    Please, no 'me too' replies. Right now I'm just looking for a fix to my phone problems. I'll deal with other problems at another time.
    Thank you.

    is their in mozilla firefox an option to automatically dial internet connection as i open firefox browser?
    and is their is any solution for as i start my computer internet connections established automatically without opening any browser , if such solution is available ,please tell about it.

    The setting you set in IE also affects Firefox. For example, if you set the following, then when Firefox makes a connection request to Windows, Windows is supposed to dial the connection:
    Windows Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections or <br>
    Internet Explorer Tools menu > Internet Options > Connections
    "Dial whenever a network connection is not present"

  • MacBookPro loses automatic AirPort Connection

    My MacBook Pro used to connect automatically to my Airport Express network everytime I opened up or turned on the computer. Recently I accidentally unplugged my Airport Express. Since then, my laptop no longer connects automatically. (In other words, the airport connection on the tool bar is shaded gray...) I have to connect manually from the tool bar every time I open up or turn on my laptop. Can anyone help me figure out what to do with the settings to fix this?
    The OS is 10.4.11.

    I have exactly the same problem after an ATT line issue which caused my DSL line to go dead. After fixing the line, Airport would not connect to my MacBookPro automatically. So I reset AP Extreme and could then find it but once I put the laptop to sleep or restart it, I have to manually connect to AP Extreme. The G5 tower has no problems and my iPhone is automatically connected
