Automated Document Type in MIRO

Hi,
I woud like to populate document type ( Under Detail Tab )  as per customer specific ( based on Company & Transaction code ) whenever user hits MIRO transaction code.
I am looking for BADI/ Exits by which I could change the document type as based on Company code and Transaction code user enters.
Also I would like to know if there are any BADI/Exit before Invoice actually gets saved using MIRO Transaction code.
Please note : Document Type is populated as per stadard confi settings in MIRO ( Through in OMR4 based on company code  ) hence require a change to make it as per customer wish.

Hi,
Mostly RE- Gross invoice Receipt is the default document type for MIRO.
You can change the default type
Goto T Code OMR4
Double Click MIRO Transaction code
In that we can change the default values

    You can work with your own document types but I do not hink you can have two different document types for Standard and Service PO.
    The effect of MIRO is still the same whether its Service PO or Standard PO - GR/IR debit and Vendor credit.
    If it is just for reporting, you can always take the PO number from RSEG table.Then drill down to EKKO/EKPO and get all the details.

  • Changing Document Type for MIRO

    When post transaction through MIRO, the financial entry is posted with document type RE. How to change the Document Type From RE to SE. Where is the configuration to be done for such changes.

    yes you need to change congiruation setting.
    first you have to copy RE document into SE (Tcode OBA7) and maintain dirrent number range.

  • Other document type for credit memos in MIRO

    Dear,
    i would like to use a seperate document type for credit memos posted with MIR0 compared to RE for invoices. I created a new Z transaction. And now I thought that I could enter this new transaction code in OMR4 (tablle V_169F), but I can not add a new customised transaction in this list. What can I do?
    Or is there an other way to have another document type for credit memos?

    You can create a new document type for credit memo through t code OBA7. Once the T code is created with all necessary parameters you can assign this to MIRO transaction.
    You cannot create a customised transaction through OMR4. This is meant for assigning the Doc type to Invoice verification

    We want to make MIRO with other document type for some particular transaction , not with RE , we have defined other document type VR , also number range but how to link it in MM part because MM number range same for RE and having provision for  only one number range . Can we define MM no. range also separate & other wise with same MM no. how we can linl VR doc type no. range..

    We mapped the system as suggested by you , but we get posting termination most of time while doing MIRO & changing document type VR in deatil tab in header part.
    Please suggest me, hoe we can create transaction variant of MIRO then we can process such activites apart from standard.

  • Accounting document number for MIRO

    Hi All,
    Please help me out, is there any way to find out the accounting document of MIRO documents, apart from BKPF table.
    Actually i am checking for developing a query for finding the MIRO which are created without PO details, that is the MIRO dont have any Purchase order details or reference. These MIRO document will be captured in table RBKP but not in RSEG. How can we get only those document which is not created with reference to PO in a query.
    Please help me out on this.

    The issue here is all the MIRO invoice done with PO reference or No PO reference will be having the same document type RE, how can we differentiate them.

  • Document Type for invoice reduction

    Good day,  the SAP Library mentioned of invoice reduction due to price variance.  We use txn MIRO for invoice verification,  following process as in SAP library;  when posting error occured No separate type exist for invoice reduction.  When adding the Document type for invoice reduction in txnOMR4, I've used KG (Credit memo) also used KA, but these postings (credit note) go to the Goods Received/Invoice Received, is it possible that these credit memo created by the system go against the vendor?

    u do not need any separate document type for invioce reduction
    what u need to do is select the invoice reduction varaint from layout in miro
    system will genrate 2 fi document after posting in miro
    1 will be invoice
    2 will be creedit memo

  • Document type for Subsequent Credit/Debit for idoc invoic01/02

    Hi SAP Gurus,
    We are implemeting an interface to post incoming invoice with idoc Invoic01 idoc type.
    We could able to post debit invoice and credit memo using document type in idoc (BSART)  as "INVO" and "CRME".
    But we would also like to post Subsequent Credit/Debit memos also with this idoc type but not sure what should be used in document type field ( BSART) in idoc.
    If any one has come across this scenario please suggest whether is it possible to use Invoic01 idoc type to post Subsequent Credit/Debit notes if yes what is the document types used? also I see in OBCE transaction we can only mention Invoice document type for debit and credit invoices only. How to handle this incase of subsequent Credit/Debit invoices.

    Please, be aware that if you look at the document at MIR4/MIRO etc, they will apear as a INVOICE/CREDIT MEMO (in the "Drop down" box, in the top of transaction)even if they are sub. credit/deb, but that is the standard system behavior ! In order to check if it is a Subcequent debit/credit, you can check directly into rbkp table or even better, just check in the PO history! it will be in a separate category !
    Give it a check if this is not the case!

    Could you check if you have implemented BADI AC_DOCUMENT in your system?
    If BADI AC_DOCUMENT is activated then in both methods CHANGE_INITIAL
    and CHANGE_AFTER_CHECK of badi, following code line must be present.
    MOVE-CORRESPONDING im_document-header to ex_document-header.

  • Purchase order accounting document type KR

    Generally invoices posted against purchase order post an accounting document RE. Are there any cases, when an invoice posted against a purchase order can have a KR document.
    we have an instance in our system. In MIR4 the invoice document gets displayed, but the accounting documetnt posted is KR document type. IT should be generally RE.
    Can any explain when a PO invoice can have an accounitng document type KR instead of RE?

    this could not be possible as per Standard SAP transaction if you had used MIRO it will generate document type RE and if you had used FB60 it will generate KR.
    Is it happened only for particular document or for all ?
    check your SAP default setting for Define default values.
    IMG > Financial Accounting > Financial Accounting Global Settings > Document > Default Values for Document Processing > Define Default Values

    I tried to key in credit memo of fixed asset at MIRO but prompt out this errors "Account type D is not defined for document type RE". I checked OMBA - account type for vendor is selected. Any advise to resolve this problem?

    It is just a debit Vendor and Cerdit Fixed Asset. Is anything wrong here?

  • Create different billing document types from same sales order type

    Please take a common document flow, just  like this one:
    - Sales Order (type ZE01 )
    - Outbound Delivery
    - Billing Document ( ZA or ZB )
    The billing document is based on the outbound delivery. Here is the requirement that we need to implement:
    - We need to determine different billing document types ( ZA or ZB ) according to a custom determination, based on a Z table. In some cases the billing document will be type ZA, in other cases it will be type ZB. I've been told that I can achieve this  via copy control , but some extra help would be welcome.
    Any clues?

    Were you able to achieve this requirement using a  user exit? if so could you let me know the name of the user exit? Basically in our current project a sales order can be billied using 6 different billing document types. The copy controls between the sales  document and billing document is been set up for all the 6different billing doc types and currently the users are manually selecting the billing document type in VF01 .The buisness insists on making this automated.They want the billing document type to be determined based on some custom condtions.
    Any inputs regarding this is highly appreciated.

    Its because i believe that one document type can be used for one TCode (FB60 or MIRO). Please suggest how to achieve this.

    Your issue is not very clear. The Document Type is defined at Header and one accounting document can contain multiple profit centers

  • Modifying document type in FBL3N report?

    Hi all,
    Our users are demanding us some modifications at FBL3N report that we don't know if it's possible.
    When a MIRO is posted, a line is created in G/L account report with type WE, when a MIRO is reversed by the transaction MR8M a line is created in G/L account report with type ES. We are trying do something similar for MIGO (goods receipt and goods receipts - reversal).
    When someone executes movement 101 at MIGO transaction, a line is created in G/L account report with the type WE, when the user executes movement 102, goods receipt - reversal, another line is created in G/L account report with also the type WE.
    Is there any standard way to config. the system to make it put a different type for reversal migos in G/L account like is done with invoices? We'd like to insert the type WS for this document, instead of WE.

    One line with WS tpye (movement 102) and the other one with WE type (movement 101)
    Desired behavior
    The goal to do that is make easier for the users analyse the data within the report.

    No, mov type 102 is a reversal of mov type 101 only
    For doc type WE, if the reversal doc type field was not maintained, then system will post the reversal doc also with the original doc's doc type only.
    When reversing a document, external document number assignment is not possible. Therefore a reverse document type which works with internal number assignment must be specified for all document types with external document number assignment.
    Probably you might have set the external number assignment for the doc type, which you specified as reversal doc type for doc type WE......this could have be the only issue...else system will work as you desired only
