  • Error: "Numeric value entered was too low " -drill down discoverer report

    Hi ,
    We have created a Discoverer drill down report (drill down to another worksheet). We have two worksheets one for the master and and the other for the detail.The parameters are passed to detail sheet (The link information is set using the Manage links option in the Discoverer plus) from the master. This whole thing works fine in dev instance.
    We imported the business area . Deleted the existing file and the opened the new .dis file from local computer and then saved it to db.
    Now the master report runs fine and when we click on the drill down link for the detail we get the following error
    An error occured while handling the event.See the application log for more details.
    - The numerical value entered was too low."
    However the link works fine in plus and desktop in the same instance.
    Kindly help.
    Thanks,
    Shobana

    I hope you're not using Internet Explorer v7.
    It has a specific problem with Disco Viewer, is not certified to work with it, and the error is drilling in Viewer.
    The Oracle bug (metalink) is: 5608740
    This bug prevents the listing of drill items under the drill icon.

  • Can I get a numeric value entered as a whole number on a form to "know" it's really a percentage?

    Hi everyone,
    I'm a non-technical person using LiveCycle 7.1 to design forms for the court system I work in. I've developed a judgment form where different values are entered: damages, interest start/stop dates, interest rate, additional costs/credits, which are then totaled. The form works great, I used FormCalc to perform all the math in the form. The question I have is: is there a way for the form to know a number entered in a field is really a percentage? So if a user entered "12" the form would know it's really 12%. Right now the form requires the user to enter the interest rate as a decimal value: 12% as ".12". I'm a bit concerned about the potential for user error. It would be ideal if the user could enter "12" (without decimal) and have the form know that that numeric field was always a percentage value. Any ideas? Thanks, any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for the heads up, I'm actually on the line with apple right now (even though I've been on hold for more then 20 minutes ) I guess I'll see what they say.
    But I was also wondering if anyone else had to go through this

  • Problem in spring rich client with numeric value

    I am facing a problem in spring rich client.
    I have a text field of NumericJTextField type which extends JTextField and it is storing value of long type.
    In one constructor of this NumericJTextField ,we are creating new instance of NumericDocument which extends PlainDocument.
    We are alos using document filter.
    My problem is that,when i enter a numeric value starting with 0 for ex: 0123 then at the time of saving,
    it automatically converts this numeric value into something else like 83 or 9 etc.
    I dont know how and where this is happenning?
    can anyone help mme in this?
    Thanks!

    It's happening somewhere in the Spring code, where it translates a string into a number. Apparently it treats strings of digits which start with a zero as octal. (You know what that means now, right?)
    I don't know much about Spring, but this isn't a Spring forum so I'm free to post my uneducated wild guesses here. Quite possibly this is a Spring FAQ which you would find on the Spring website.

  • How do I keep fields hidden until a numeric value is entered including 0

    I have a field that keeps other fields hidden until a numeric value is entered into it...
    My current script is:
    var showHide = event.target.value > 0
    ? display.visible : display.hidden;
    this.getField("Increase DecreaseRow1").display = showHide;
    this.getField("Amended BudgetRow1").display = showHide;
    And it works except when a "0" amount is entered, the fields remain hidden. I need to allow the "0" amount to unhide the fields so, I've tried changing it to:
    var showHide = event.target.ValueAsString != ""
    ? display.visible : display.hidden;
    this.getField("Increase DecreaseRow1").display = showHide;
    this.getField("Amended BudgetRow1").display = showHide;
    but that makes the fields I want hidden visible, even without an entry.
    Any ideas?
    I'm using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.
    Thanks in advance for any help!

    I use the custom JavaScript validation of:
    if(event.value == 0) event.value = "";
    for the field with the calculation. If one uses a currency symbol or the percentage format then additional coding is needed to set the format to a number without the currency symbol for zero values and the desired format for the currency or percentage.

  • Error message - BSEG-WRBTR enter a numeric value

    Hi,
    I am having a problem with loading data using a abap program that calls RFBIBL00 program and the fb01 Transaction. The process is that the user enters the data in a excel sheet, saves as a tab deliminted txt file. The abap program reads the txt file, does some processing and submits the RFBIBL00 program with the FB01 code. When I check in SM35, it shows on the "incorrect " tab. When you display the log for the process, It is displaying "Formatting error in the field BSEG-WRBTR; see next message" and "Enter a numeric value".  I am not sure where to start looking to try to correct this problem. I am tracing the abap program that submits the RFBIBL00 process and I am not finding where this is occuring. I am new to the ABAP world and I am having a hard time figuring this out. Can someone please let me know if I am proceeding in the right direction or if there is another way of solving this. I am not sure what program is generating the above error messages. If there is more information that is needed, please let me know and I will try to get it for you.
    thanks in advance for the help on this

    Hi,
    There may be two possiblities for this issue.
    1. Incorrect data passed to the field BSEG-WRBTR
    2. Check the Decemial Notation(Menu Path->System->status->Own profile and Defaults Tab). If it is diffrent with the entered amount format, then it will trigger error.

  • How to restrict the user to enter only numeric values in a input field

    How to restrict the user to enter only numeric values in a input field.
    For example,
    i have an input field in that i would like to enter
    only numeric values. no special characters,alphabets .
    reply ASAP

    Hi Venuthurupalli,
    As valery has said once you select the value to be of type integer,once you perform an action it will be validated and error message that non numeric characters are there will be shown. If you want to set additional constraints like max value, min value etc you can use simple types for it.
    On the project structure on left hand side under local dictionary ->datatypes->simple types create a simple type of type integer
    The attribute which you are binding to value property ;make its type as simple type which you made
    Hope this helps you

  • How can I force an "invisible" object to become "visible" when a numeric value is entered?

    So I’m trying to force an “invisible” subform to switch to “visible” when a numeric value greater than or equal to 22 is input into a numeric field.
    I can’t get the following javascript code to work properly with any event. I’ve tried the change, calculate, validate, events and a few more to no avail. The only event that kind of works with the javascript code I’m using is the validate event. When I input the code into the validateevent, the invisible subform becomes visible when an amount equal to or greater than 22 is entered, but when ANY amount is input into this field, an error message pops up that says “NumericField4 validation failed” and the user has to click “Ok” to get rid of the pop up box.
    if (this.rawValue <= 22) {
            Approval23.presence = "hidden";
    if (this.rawValue >= 23) {
                Approval23.presence ="visible";
     Here’s a link to my .pdf: http://www.filedropper.com/salgovform
    The object field that the javascript code is contained in is called: NumericField4 (a.k.a. New Job Grade)
    The subform that I want to become visible when a number greater than 22 is input into NumericField4, is called Approval23.
    I’ve based the javascript code I used on information I gathered from the following thread and associated .pdf . . .
    Thread:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/1982919
    PDF in thread with the javascript code:
    http://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/download/1981437-8059/Sample_SW.pdf
    I’m pretty sure I’m just missing one little thing that’s throwing everything off!
    Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

    Hi,
    The following works in the exit event of the numeric field, where the language is set to JavaScript:
    if (this.rawValue <= 22) {
         Approval23.presence = "hidden";
    else {
         Approval23.presence = "visible";
    Here is your form: https://acrobat.com/#d=3gRNt6WBY2bE0K7en4CnSA

  • Error "enter a numeric value"  I am not getting this error when i directly

    We are using BAPI "BAPI_ROUTING_CREATE". I am using an excel file for input. I am getting errors against Standard Values and Unit of measure of Standard Values while running the BAPI through an ABAP program.
    The errors are:
    1. enter a numeric value
    2. Enter a unit of dimension time for standard value
    I am not getting this error when i directly run BAPI_ROUTING_CREATE through SE37.
    Kindly help

    Hi, I had the same problem. Solution for me:
    OPERATION-ACTIVITY = <T>-ACTIVITY.   " activity for example "5"  ---> problem error "Enter a numeric value"
    OPERATION-ACTIVITY = <T>-ACTIVITY.   " activity for example "0005"  ---> no problem --> include leading 0
    so I chanded <t>-activity field type to N(4) and no problem...

  • OSS 650345 . Error : Enter Numeric Value

    Hi All,
    I had applied the OSS Note 650345.
    With this OSS Note we can Upload Data in Background
    for Transaction's KP06 & KP46.
    While using Excel Upload in KP06 Transaction to upload the data it is working fine.
    When I use the same file from Application server and with this OSS Note. I am getting an Error stating that Enter a Numeric Value.
    I had used the same file.
    If anyone had got faced similar problem, Pls suggest me.
    Pls consider this as High Priority.
    Thanks
    Rajendra

    Hi Rajendra,
    Your problem is NOT the program or the format of your Excel file.
    The problem is, that on APPLICATION SERVER level there is NO MS OFFICE or MS EXCEL (or any compliant EXCEL reader) installed. Therefore in the background (or on application server level) SAP cannot read Excel files.

    Rob.

  • Entering numeric values with suffixes in Labwindows CVI (e.g 100 kHz instead of 100e3 or 100000 )

    is there any practical way of entering numeric values with suffixes in Labwindows CVI in order to prevent user from struggling with '0' es.

    In LabVIEW there is another Display Format called "SI Notation" that is exactly what you're looking for.
    Maybe you can add a feature request in CVI Idea Exchange Forum and ask NI to add this Display Format in CVI too.

  • Adding numerical value to radial button

    By the subject you can tell I'm a newbie. I'm an old newbie :-) so even you reply please don't assume I know much of anything. Thank you. My problem is in building a form that I wish to assign a numerical value to each of six radial buttons; the value of each of these optional buttons will populate a total field. Can anyone lead me to where I might find this information? Thanks.

    A tip if you are doing a total sum of several radio buttons, is how you name the fields can make the job a lot easier.
    If you use 'dot notation' in your file names (e.g. 'QTY.field1', 'QTY.field2', ...etc) then you can do a Sum calculation for your total field for 'QTY'. You don't have to enter each field manually when you create the Sum calculation, plus you can add fields and they will automatically be included if they are named similarly.

  • Creating a sound from an array of numeric values and playing it on speakers

    How do I create take a sound I have stored as an array (or could be an arraylist if needed) of numeric values (at the moment as doubles) whiten my program and output it to speakers? I am using blueJ.
    for example (0, 0.1, 0.4, 0.8, 0.9, 1, 0.8, 0.6, 0.3, 0.1, etc...) would be a very high frequency sin wave.
    Edited by: alan2here on Feb 6, 2008 11:28 AM

    I stumbled upon this thread with a question somewhat related:
    I've recorded a wave file from microphone. But what I would like is an array of numbers in the same way alan said. I'm also working on my own project involving signal processing (i'm trying to do speech recognition).
    I can't really find a nice way of getting that array of numbers. I've tried to find out how wave file stores it's data, and directly read from the File object, but i figured there should be an easier way...
    I used this code to read the sound:

             is followed by returning from 'run()', and thus, the thread
             is terminated automatically.
             It's not a good idea to call this method just 'stop()'
             because stop() is a (deprecated) method of the class 'Thread'.
             And we don't want to override this method.
         public void stopRecording()
              m_line.stop();
              m_line.close();
         /** Main working method.
             You may be surprised that here, just 'AudioSystem.write()' is
             called. But internally, it works like this: AudioSystem.write()
             contains a loop that is trying to read from the passed
             AudioInputStream. Since we have a special AudioInputStream
             that gets its data from a TargetDataLine, reading from the
             AudioInputStream leads to reading from the TargetDataLine. The
             data read this way is then written to the passed File. Before
             writing of audio data starts, a header is written according
             to the desired audio file type. Reading continues untill no
             more data can be read from the AudioInputStream. In our case,
             this happens if no more data can be read from the TargetDataLine.
             This, in turn, happens if the TargetDataLine is stopped or closed
             (which implies stopping). (Also see the comment above.) Then,
             the file is closed and 'AudioSystem.write()' returns.
         public void run()
                   try
                        AudioSystem.write(
                             m_audioInputStream,
                             m_targetType,

  • How do I allocate a numerical value to a 5 part likert scale question

    I have a survey questionaire and the 15 questions are all arranged on a 5 part 'Liket scale' of strongly agree to strongly disagree.
    How do I allocate numerical values to each question response?
    I don't want the respondents to see the scoring.
    The reason I need to do this is some response lines are reverse scored. That is to say some lines would be scored 1 to 5 and other lines 5 to 1.
    I think this feature is available on survey monkey.
    Is it available in Acrobat X Pro or Formscentral?
    I'd appreciate your suggestions
    Kind regards
    spreid1

    Hi,
    You can assign numerical responses to the likert answers as follows:
    1. Go into the response table and select the "Table" toolbar button:
    2. Select the header for your Likert questions in the response table.
    3. Click the "Choices" button on the toolbar and select "Edit choice list..."
    4. Select the checkbox for "Assign data values to choices".
    5. Enter the choice data values in the right-hand column.
