Automatic formatted search for row udf item group autofill

Dear All,
I have a field udf field in the row of marketing document named u_itemgroupcode. I want that when an item is selected in any marketing document in the above udf automatically the Item Group code should come from the corresponding item OITB table.
How to achive this through auto refresh formatted search.
please help....!
regards
kamlesh

Hi Kamlesh,
ItemGroup code is available in OITM table itself. You could define the formatted search on the udf field
with this query and define auto refresh with Item No.
SELECT T0.[ItmsGrpCod] FROM OITM T0 WHERE T0.[ItemCode] =$ $38.1

    Hi Jenifer.....
I think it should work as it is working on my DB
    Select Top 1 T0.U_LstIssDt From IGE1 T0 Where T0.ItemCode=$[IGE1.ItemCode.0]
    Order By T0.U_LstIssDt DESC
Do execute this just save and Apply this on Goods Issue for. So when you select the Item this will bring the Last Issue Date of this Particular Item on which field you applied this FMS.......
Is that an UDF of Last Issue Date or standard field?
I modified above FMS and please now try.....

  • Can I search for a WebApp Item by it's unique ID number?

Can I search for a WebApp Item by it's unique ID number in a WebApp search form?

I've been searching for this as well, and while you can't search for a web app item by its ID no, you can link to it directly by using a URL with the web app id in it.
See this discussion Re: Is it possible to use a web app id in the url?

    Sabitha,
the mismatch could be due to the Fuzzy search profile option.

    Like this:

  • Formatted Search in Row

    Hi,
i have a UDF in the PDN1. so i want that, when i change the value of this field i want to change the warehouse of this row, according to the value of the udf.
how can i access one field of the same row?

I am doing a similar thing but it involves 2 user-defined fields on a sales order row.
First I created the query that will be used as the formatted search as
"SELECT $[rdr1.U_XXDENDUS]"   Note there is no "FROM" clause.  This will return the value in the UDF field on the matrix row being maintained by the user.
Then I assign this formatted search to my other UDF (for you it will be the warehouse) by presssing Alt-Shift-F2.  Click search by saved query, then give it the name of the FS, or double click on the line for it to select from the list.
Then click auto-refresh and also chose "when exiting altered column"  from the first combobox and then select your UDF from the second combo box.  This CB will display a list of the field descriptions, so don't be looking for "U_".  I also check the "Refresh Regularly" radio button.
Whenever the user enters a value in my first UDF (xxdendus) and tabs out of it, my second UDF (the one with the FS assigned to it) is automatically updated.

  • Formatted Search - Sales Order - UDF

Hi, I need to now if is possible, when I create a new Sales Order and I chage the Sales Employee on the drop down list I can catch the new sales employee selected and use it in a formatted search that is attached to a UDF, all this without saving the new created sales order...
Is any way to catch a value in an active window and attach it to a UDF? for example the current selected sales employee?
    Thank you!

Hi Gordon, its work's! many Thanks!
Another question... you now if it is possible to update a field that have a FMS attached wen 2 event's happens?
For example, I want to change the value of the commission % column when the user change the sales employee drop down list and when the user add a new line to the sales order... in this moment only works when I change the Sales employee, wen I try to add a new row it dont fill in the right commission %.
    SELECT DISTINCT
    CASE
         WHEN $[ORDR.SlpCode]=6 THEN 6
         WHEN $[ORDR.SlpCode]=7 THEN 7
         WHEN $[ORDR.SlpCode]=8 THEN 8
         WHEN $[ORDR.SlpCode]=9 THEN 9
         WHEN $[ORDR.SlpCode]=-1 THEN -1
    ELSE 0
    END
    FROM RDR1
    WHERE RDR1.ItemCode = $[RDR1.ItemCode]

  • Help with Formatted search involving a UDF

I have a Formatted search which runns the following code:
    exec xsp_nssItemLookup $[$38.256.0]
This search is on a udf of the Purchase order screen.  (256 is the item details field in the details.
The above query runs fine.  What I really want to do is to pass the contents of another UDF to the stored procedure.  The USF is called U_NSSItemID.  If I change my stored procedure to read:
exec xsp_nssItemLookup $[$38.U_NSSItemID.0] however it does not work.  I get blank results every time.
I have also tried exec xsp_nssItemLookup $[POR1.U_NSSItemID.0]  which doesn't work either.
I can't figure out what is wrong with my syntax.  I don't get any errors, just a blank value.
    Thanks

    Suda,
Thanks for answering so quickly.  To answer your question the data type is Alphanumber which I just figured out is the save as CHAR() in SQL.  My problem turned out to be that I needed to trim the spaces from my parameter.  I was getting values like "cover                         ", and I needted to get "cover".  Problem solved now.

  • Formatted search to auto generate Item No.

    Hi,
Customer is using 2007A PL47. They had requirement to auto generate Item No based on UDF created in Item Master Data(OITM). The stock code structure is as follow:
    Item No=EP(hardcode 2 char)+U_ProdRange U_ProdGroupU_ProdFamily+user defined text
    The keystroke steps are:
    1. Key in item description
    2. Select drop down list for U_ProdRange in OITM
    3. Select drop down list for U_ProdGroup in OITM
    4. Select drop down list for U_ProdFamily in OITM
    5. Formatted search to generate Item No based on 2,3, 4
    6. User keys in user defined text in Item No
    7. Fill in other relevant fields in Item Master Data
    8. Add Item Master Data
May I know how to write the query in formatted search?
    Regards
    Thomas

    Hi,
    I had got solution.
    Try this Select TOP 1 'EP' +$[OITM.U_ProdRange] +$[OITM.U_Prodgroup] +$[OITM.U_ProdFamily]

  • Formatted Search defined on an item added with the UI API

    Hello,
I have added an Edit Text with the UI API on the Sales Orders form. It is visible and enable.
I have linked a Formatted Search to this Edit Text.I have indicated to refresh the value on Supplier Name changed.
I have linked the same formatted search to the Remarks field with the same conditions of launching.
When I change the BP name, the formatted search on theremarks field is launched, but the formatted search on the Edit Text is not launched.
Why the formatted search on the Edit Text is not launched when the condition for refresh is true?
    Thanks for your help.
    Best regards,

    Hi,
This is a simple Edit Text which is not bound.
I can launch manually the formatted search, but it is not launch automatically!
It seems that SBO can't launch automatically FS on user forms and user items.
I have tried to define a FS on the Fixed Asset master data form and you can only launch the Formatted search manually.

  • Special Price + Formatted Search for Special Price.

    Hi all,
Appreciate some help here.  Our client is using SAP B1 2007 Patch 38.  AU/NZ localization, Local Currency = AUD.
    Scenario:
Item A, Price List 1 = $2795, Price List display = 4 decimals, Price List Currency = USD
Special price for Item A has been set up as follows:
Step 1 - Go to Item> Price List> Price and Volumne Discount
Step 2 - The price and volumn discount screen opened. From the drop down, select price list and then select Item A by double clicking the line.
    Step 3 - Period Discount screen opened.  Valid from = 9th July 2008. Price = $2795.
Step 4 - Double click the line, Volume Discount Price List open, with the following details maintained.
    Quantity=1, Discount=0, Special Price = $2795.
    Quantity = 10, Discount=7.1556, Special Price = $ 2595.0010
    Quantity = 100, Discount=10.0179, Special Price=$ 2514.9997
Question:  we intend to put in Special price = $2595 and $2515, but SAP just does its own round up.  Is there a way to work around?
    Scenario 2:
To deal with the problem from Question 1, we have created a formatted search in the sales order and formatted search to round up the value in Line Total.
    Column = Line Total
    Trigger by = Quantity
Query = SELECT (case when $[$63.0.0]='USD' then Round($[$38.23.number],0) else $[$38.23.number] end)
    Column = Quantity
    Trigger by = Discount%
    Query = SELECT $[$38.11.1]
The above set up works fine, if the user enter the quantity correctly the first time.
    Eg:
User enter Qty = 10, SAP will display Discount = 7.1556 % and Line Total = $25,950.00 (Round up from $25950.01).
If user notice the quantity is wrong and then enter new quantity = 100, the discount remains at 7.1556%, it should be 10.0179%.
Question: Is there a way to work around this?

    Hi Shawn ,
    1.First check the decimal setting
a.Administration --> system intilisation --Document setting -- currency or by document --
    b.System initiliaisation ---> general settng --->Display
    c.Administration set up->Financial currency ---rounding --???
Currency setting overides the rounding method of procedure B
    Scenario2
Since your trigger is dicount percentage , You will not get the desired output from the formatted search . Try to get the trigger at quantity .
    Hope that helps
    Bishal

  • Formatted Search on user-defined items

    Hi everyone,
I have to edittext item, editA and edit B. I created a formatted search on edit B but with a condition depending on the value of my editA. My query results to an internal error. Below is my code. Thanks
    SELECT T0.[Field1] AS [Field1]
    FROM [dbo].[@TABLE]
    T0 WHERE T0.[Field2] = [EditB]
What is the right format for getting the value of [EditB] during run time?
    Regards,
    Omann

    Hi,
Create the User Query and Save it with some name...
    Declare @Item varchar(20)
    Set @Item = Replace(RTRIM($[$editA.0.0]),'*','') + '%'
SELECT T0.ItemCode AS 'Item Code', T0.ItemName AS 'Item Description' from OITM T0 WHERE T0.ItemCode
    like @Item
Assign the Query to the User Defined Item i.e for editB Item in the FORM

  • Formatted Search for Delivery Date field in SO not working

    Hi All
Can anyone help me as to why my formatted search is not working?
    I am currently using SAP B1A SP01 Patch 19.
I have created a user query as follows:
    SELECT $ [$10.0.DATE] + 5
When I add this to the delivery field within the Sales Order and bring through the saved query which I set to auto refresh when the Posting Date field changes and to Display Saved Values it doesn't work.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks and best wishes
    Gail

    HI Gail,
If I am not mistaken you want to add days to the posting date...if that is so then try this out:
SELECT $[ORDR.DocDate.DATE]+5 From ORDR T0 For Browse
Set The indicator to Auto Refresh when the fields change
