Automatic music upon opening website page

Hello all. I was wandering if anyone knows how/if you can have music/theme play upon opening your webpage using iweb. I know that you can drap a song into the page where the person clicks on the play button, but can you have it open the page and play a song in the background??? if so how canyoudo it?

Automatic music when opening a page

I just made my first iweb page. Is there a way to automatically play a song upon opening a site and have it play throughout the website? If not, how about automatically per page. Either way, I can get the song to play when I go an press the play arrow on the little toolbar, but that extra step kind of takes away form the whole viewing experience. Too much to ask for auto tunes? Perhaps. I'm grateful for any help on this!

The iPhone does not support the autoplay of Quicktime files (iWeb uses the QT player to play audio files). On the iPhone when the audio track is clicked on it opens in a new window to play as do QT movies.

Keynote presentation does not automatically play upon open when called from another keynote presentation

I have a master keynote presentation that hyperlinks to other keynote presentations. The called keynote presentations open, but do not automatically play even though I have marked them to automatically play upon open. What am I doing incorrectly?

Automatically Play on open, has the same function as pressing the play button in the tool bar.
Once the presentation is playing, it will move to the next slide depending on
how you have set the options in:
Inspector > Document > Presentation
the choices to advance to the next slide are:
normal           - requires a keyboard press or a muse click to advance
Hyperlink       - requires the mouse to click on an object with a hyperlink
Recorded      - plays back using the recorded narration sound track
Self-playing   - will advance according to the options in the delay times set in
Inspector > Document > Presentation

In Pages 5, how to get date to automatically update upon opening a template?

I'm using Pages 5.2. In prior versions of Appleworks and Pages I was able to construct and save a template in which the date would automatically update to the current date when the template was opened. I have tried "Insert Date" and I can click on that to update to current date, but I don't always remember to do that and therefore, some of my documents are dated several months prior.
Can't seem to find how to do it under Pages 5.2 Anyone have help or a work around?

I have the same problem.
What confuses me is that all the apple provided templates in pages seem to auto update their time and date upon opening.
So there MUST be a way to do it... although I've been unable to work out how...

I am trying to have music immediately come on when my home page is opened!
(without clicking on anything)I am successful in placing music, but you have to click on it! Can any one help ? Thanks

if you just want music to play when you open the webpage you need to do several things.
1. drag the audio file into iWeb. if you want the visitors to see the bar to allow pausing and more, then put it somewhere you want. if you want your visitors to see NOTHING, then put a box in colour of the background INFRONT of the audio file.
2. then you need to do something a bit complicated. publish your website (i assume you use .mac). find your iDisk. open Web/Sites/iWeb/YOURWEBSITENAME/ then look for the page name that contains the audio you placed in iWeb, ITS A FOLDER . i'll call it audio , in the folder should be a file that ends in .js open it up with Text Edit (((((if you see your website go preferences and change the formatting into text, So you see a lot of text you dont get. lol))))))))k. now it gets complicated
2a. find in the using the search function, for the name of your audio file (spaces are changed to %20).
2b. in the same paragraph there should say something like controller (controller bar at the bottom), autoplay, loop (repeats the song foreever) and stuff. behind in quoteations it should say true or false. Change the values to what you want.
2c. you need to change the values twice to make it work. one looks like this <para name="autoplay" value="false" /
the other like a bit more down autoplay="false"
2d. CHANGE each value to true or false depending on how you want it.
3. save the file.
4. go to your web adress and see if the music plays automatically
5. if not working, write back
hopefully that long text told you how to do it

How to stop password from automatically polulating when opening email page

when i open my Network Solutions webmail page, my password automatically populates so anyone can enter by simply hitting login. i would like my password bar to stay blank, but it does not, even if i change my password...the new one starts to appear! i have spoken to NS twice, and both times they say i have to clear it through Firefox. can you help. also, they say my "Tools" button should have an "Options" dropdown. which it does not. what's with that?

You should try this :
Go to System Preferences -> General
Uncheck "Restore windows when quitting and reopening apps"
By holding shift key might be a temporary solution
This should solve the question
P.S. : In fact, this helps in booting the Mac quite faster as it opens all the unclosed apps again while shutting down!

Actionscript error upon open website

This error message box pop up everytime i open my website..

I am getting the same error message (Could not complete your request because of a program error) except it happens whenver I try to apply a layer style. Here are the last few lines of my error log:

Can I make 3D measurements in a 3D pdf, then have them automatically show upon opening the file - using Reader?

I am trying to use Reader to set up how a 3D pdf initially opens - for example, showing measurements.
Is this possible using only Reader?

You can create the measurements in Reader but you cannot change the file's initial view settings - that's an Acrobat job.

Safari v 5.1.2. Not happening in Firefox. Strange and very annoying.

Check Safari > Preferences - Extensions. If you have any installed, turn that off, quit then relaunch Safari to test.
If it's not an Extension causing the page issue, go to Safari > Preferences then select the security tab.
Deselect: Enable plug-ins
Quit then relaunch Safari. If pages don't "bounce" then you have a Safari third party add on installed that's causing the odd page behavior.
Troubleshooting helpe here > Safari: Unsupported third-party add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues
Bear in mind, it could be a plugin that does not affect Firefox.

I am having serious issuse trying to open websites or links which i have never had before

I am having serious issues trying to open websites/pages or links which i have never had before. For instance when i open Firefox and my tabs start to load, sites such as Yahoo, Gamespot or Fox News struggle to open (these are just an example of a wider picture) Other times Firefox just freezes either for Minutes on end or completely until it either crashes or i have to task manage out of it. Firefox has total privelages through both my antivirus software and the in built Microsoft firewall. I never used to have this problem and speaking to some friends some of them are experienceing the same thing and due to the lack of help from Firefox have reverted to using Explorer. I do not recieve any error messages or messages stating there are problems with any of the sites that struggle or fail to open. I have tried disabling all add-ons and starting Firefox in save mode but no luck. I have also tried to change the settings in Options / Privacy - History from Remeber History to Use custom settings for history but this just keeps reverting back to original setting. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i don't want to return to using Windows Explorer.

FF4 has problems with script-heavy sites. There are two solutions:
1) Downgrade to 3.6
OR
2) Use a different broser

Thanks for the response gakker, but I've double-checked the camera / iPhoto / Image Capture scenario, and I'm 100% positive it's got nothing to do with that.
Plugging in my iPhone has no effect on anything related to this.
The other thing I should have mentioned is that when iTunes on my Mac is NOT running, then nothing happens on my iPhone screen when I plug it in to my Mac. I only get the "Sync in progress" message when iTunes IS running.
It's interesting though that you say you also get this "Sync in progress" message, albeit only for a second or two though.
Can I just double-check something with you however... When you say:

do you mean the iTunes on your Mac? Because the problem I have is that the iPod-playback on my iPhone is interrupted.

Thanks for your solution, it wasn't quite what solved the problem but i remembered that i had a bit of salt water on my phone recently and spraying the charging port with an anti-oxide spray solved my problem, do you mind if i ask, how is the charging port related with the volume or/and speakers?

How can I eliminate the constant attempt of add-ons opening in new tabs and tabs redirecting everytime I open a page or website that I DO want??

No matter what page or website I am on, as soon as I go to another website or want to open a page of my choosing, multiple unwanted pages try to open wanting me to add on, install, etc. or additionally, get tabs opening that say redirected. Result is that the whole time I spend on the net, I keep having to close 2 or 3 tabs of wanted pages constantly trying to open before I can stay on the one I actually want.
In addition, is there any way to modify or eliminate the constant popups opening on the sides, the bottom, and tops of pages...all over the place, while I'm trying to view a page. I spend more time trying to close all that junk before I can read something and then it even comes back and I have to do the same thing again.?????????

How can I get my music to open automatically in my itunes instead of opening in the music app (the orange sqaure with headphones)? Currently I have had to often downloads and sift through all my files to find the ones I want to open into itunes, and it's irritating.

Media is only where the user puts it.
Installing iTunes does not and has never caused media to magically appear on the computer.
Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer (or backup of the old computer) to the new computer.
