Automatic syndication & Relationships export

Hello All;
Client requirement is like this:
We have two repositories :1.Staging 2. Production
1. Client wants autonmatic syndication as well as workflow trigger from Production so as to send data to other target systems.
2. Client also wants relationships to be Syndicated /Synchronised from Staging to Production ( we are relating similar records from different source system) (we are assigning Unique ID to related records)
for requirement 1, we can simply syndicate records from staging to production and do automatic syndication /WFL trigger from Production but as far as my knowledge goes we can not syndicate Relationships in MDM 5.5 ( this feature will be available in MDM 7.1 ,right ?) and we can also not import sibling relationships in MDM 5.5 ( as all our relationships are Siblings).
For requirement 2: if we use Maste/slave concept ,we can get relationships synchronised from master repository to slave repository but from slave repository we can not trigger workflow or we can not do automatic syndication.
Can any one give me pointers as to how to go about resolving this issue??!!
Thanks
Bindi

At this stage it is not possible to export to more than one table to SQL Loader at a time. Please post a request on the Exchange for this.

  • Automatic syndication not working in SP06

    Does anyone have problems with automatic syndication in SP06 (version 5.5.62.58)? I upgraded our development system to SP06 few days ago. The syndication server didn't syndicate any changes. I also noticed that the next syndication time didn't get updated in the console. However, manual syndication with syndicator still works.
    Am I missing anything? Thanks!

    RDNPrasad, the exception folder is empty. I noticed that when I restarted the syndication server, certain ports syndicated and some of those ports did not generate any XML files even though the log file indicated the syndication was completed. Also the export log file didn't get updated at all after that as if the syndication service was crashed.
    Ankit, what can you suggest to diagnose my problem? What is the best way to verify if the syndication service is running. I checked the service status using services.msc and it has "Started" status. But the log file never gets updated after initial startup. In SP04, I know the service.msc status is not accurate. Not sure if they fix it in SP06.
    If this is indeed a product bug, which version should I use? We are using SP04. Automatic syndication works without major problems except we have to manually restart the syndicate service once a while. But I really like the syndication performance improvement in SP06.
    Thanks!

  • Automatic Syndication not working

    Hi All,
    I created a repository in sandbox server.(MDM Ver 7.1 SP06 ).Later it was updated back to SP05.I designed the table,ports ,and Remote system ... I gave the processing type for the Syndication to be Automatic and continuous time interval.Autosyndication was not working.Later restarted the MDSS server for sandbox and autosyndication was working fine.
    Now i moved the repositort form Sandbox to development server( V7.1 SP05 ).Nothing changed but still syndication is not happening.If i open the syndicator ,use the same map and try to syndicate it is happening manually but not automatically.
    I am not able to solve this.Please help me regarding this.Is this something to do with restarting of MDSS server for developement also.I checked with other team for autosuyndication and it is working fine.
    Thanks and Regards
    Nitin

    Nitin -
    Check your Syndicator server if running, MDSS.
    Check in mdss.ini file next parameters:
    GLOBAL
    Auto Syndication Task Enabled=True
    Auto Syndication Task Delay (seconds)=10
    Also looking in the Syndicatior and see if records are greyed out or not, if they are greyed out then records are not selected for syndication
    Try Restart server
    I will recommand you to see below link as well

  • Automatic Syndication after impot

    Hi all,
    my scenario is as followed:
    My repositories imports updates (new data sets and updates on existing) automaticly via the import server. This updates should be syndicated, but only the updates. Not all data sets. My idea was to create a boolean field "updated" which should automatically be set to true after a import. The syndication map selects only data sets, which are set to true - export via the syndication server.
    On this background I have some questions:
    How can I automaticly assign new values after the import (changed to true)?
    How can I automaticly assign the false value to "changed" after the syndication.
    Is there an other solution to export only changed data sets.
    How can the syndication process be automaticly started after any event, e.g after an update, instead of the syndicatoin server?
    Thanks
    Stefan

    Stefan,
    1. How is your Import map set? - One single map for "Update" and "Create"?
    If you have two separate maps, you can set the Boolean value for your "Updated" field in the Import map itself. If you are using a single map, how about splitting it into two just to accomodate this update...:). Then you can change your syndicator map to pick records based on the flag.
    2. Currently (as of SP3), Syndicator will not send back any information on the syndicated records, hence I don't think it is possible to directly update a field based on "Syndication".
    3. If you are using Import Manager in Batch mode, you can execute your Syndicator batch command as soon as your Import Manager Batch job is finished. If you are using Import Server, you can think of utilising OS level  events/commands that check for the "Ready" and "Status" folders and execute your Syndicator batch command once the Import Server complates the operation.
    Hope this helps,

  • Free Automatic Duck .AAF export plug-in not compatible w/After Effects 6.5?

    Greetings,
    There is a free export/import module for FCP that Automatic Duck produces for Apple that lets you export your time line as an AAF sequence. As most of you know, the AAF sequence can be imported in to After Effects and other programs that support AAF, and all of the cuts are in place exactly where they are in the exported FCP sequence. For those of you who do not know the plug-in can be found at the following address, " http://images.apple.com/movies/us/downloads/AutomaticDuckAAF.dmg.sit "
    There is still an issue when importing a FCP produced AAF sequence into After Effects 6.5. Does any one know of a go around or solution to this problem?
    I spend extensive time searching the film/video web community to find the answer, to no avail!!! I do not believe I am doing anything out of skew to cause the problem, but I will explain the steps that I am taking. First, I take a sequence in FCP that is CUTS ONLY, and with the sequence (timeline) itself active or selected (and not in the browser window) I go to the "file" menu -> "export" -> "Automatic Duck AAF". I save the sequence and it is parsed by the plug-in. Then in After Effect 6.5, I import the AAF sequence. Every-time, every way I have tried, I get an error in After effects that says, " After Effects: AEGF Plugin AAF: Error during parsing: Invalid document structure (5027 12) " and "Error occurred while creating project"
    I really need a solution to this problem, because I have a cut that all green screen and of course is is not consistent. Exporting a QT reference is going to be a pain, so I need to get this working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I own approximately half of Automatic Duck.

  • QUALIFIED RANGE MAPPING/PI-MDM CONFIGURATION FOR AUTOMATIC SYNDICATION

    Hi Experts,
    I am setting up automatic import and syndication using an xml schema to a qualified lookup, will this be able to work?  I made tuple to work but not with a qualified lookup even the mappings are all corrent, the import doesnt work.
    We are using the MDM-PI Adapter instead of the File Adapter to automatically syndicate, Is it possible to create multiple channel?  As when we configure the message starts to branch to the other channel since they have existing mapping but different remote port.  Other port was configured as Manual while the new one was automatically to syndicate?  Is there a workaround to this?
    Many thanks!

    Hi Elizabeth,
    This is true that it uses only Numeric values while defining Qualified Range using Remote System of MDM Console.
    But it doesn't allows to key the remote system details all alone for the internal number range as its using a qualified range.
    I didn't get you exactly here, if you mean that you want to syndicate records on the basis of account number and want to generate customer number which is numeric then its possible. For this the Qualified field which is look-up to some sub-table, for this sub-table Key mapping Property should also be Yes.
    Please refer step by step guide to make use of qualified range:

  • How to automate the schema export task

    Hi,
    I take online backup by exporting the schema 3 times in a day.
    I want to automate this process.
    with the help of expdp and linux job schedule to repeate the job daily, how it is possible....
    Regards
    Prabhaker

    schedule using DBMS_JOBHmmmm... no :-)
    Exporting is done through the exp binary, so you can't submit it via an Oracle Job - except if you use Java to launch an O.S. program, but that's another journey.
    Use cron or at instead (or task scheduler if you're on Win*)

  • Automate Query and Export in HTML to Sharepoint

    Hello,
    Currently I'm using Disco Plus and I'm finding out that I don't have the ability to automate a report and export the result. In this case, I'm wanting to export in HTML format to a Sharepoint drive.
    I found a recent post saying that there you can script it with Disco Desktop but I don't have that installed and I'm not certain where I can get it... is it possible to download and install yourself or would my IT group need to install it (i have admin privileges to my machine). Is there a licensing fee separate for Desktop? Here are my Disco and system particulars if that helps:
    OracleBI Discoverer 10g (10.1.2.2)
    Oracle Business Intelligence Discoverer Plus 10g (10.1.2.54.25)
    Discoverer Model - 10.1.2.54.25
    Discoverer Server - 10.1.2.54.25
    End User Layer - 5.1.1.0.0.0
    End User Layer Library - 10.1.2.54.25
    PivotMan

    Hi PivotMan
    It is possible to download and install Discoverer Desktop yourself as the install is very, very easy. There is, as you suspect, a license issue though in that Discoverer Desktop is not licensed along with your Plus and Viewer licenses and is priced, I believe, at $1,200 per seat.
    If your company has a Discoverer Adminstrator using the Administrator tool then you may not be aware that the license for Admin also includes a license for Desktop and it is probably already installed.
    Independently, you can download the Desktop software, as part of the Tools CD, from OTN at this address: http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ids/htdocs/101202winsoft.html
    The download you want is the second one, the Oracle Business Intelligence Tools 1og (10.1.2.0.2) for Microsoft Windows.
    Be wary though because your company has probably upgraded Discoverer to either 10.1.2.2 or 10.1.2.3. You will need to do the same thing for Desktop by downloading the relevant patch from MetaLink. Also, please read the licensing agreement on OTN before downloading and using any Oracle software as you will be required to confirm that you have read and understood Oracle's terms and conditions.
    I hope this helps
    Best wishes

  • Problems with automatic syndications in MDM 5.5 SP6

    Hi all,
    Has anyone a solution for the following problem?
    I have a MDM repository for central master data management for articles. This i running under MDM 5.5 SP6. I use timestamps depending on spesific fields in order to execute the syndications. Most of the syndications are running automaticly and continously, with some few seconds delay between the syndication rounds.
    Each syndication takes some few seconds, appr. 10-15. When an end-user save the change, and the timestamp for the actual change happens to be in between the start/end of the belonging syndication, the record is not included in the syndication, and it seems that the status telling the mdm system that a record has been changed, is reset, although the record has not been syndicated. Thus the record is not included in the next syndication round either.
    I appreciate if anyone could help me.
    Regards,
    Jens

    Hi Jens,
    Workaround could be to use MDM Workflows.
    Design the workflow as shown below
    Start -> Branch -> Syndicate -> Stop
                           -> Stop
    Just pass the outbound port of type manual to the syndicate step and set the trigger action of the workflow to record update. Now whenever record gets updated, its time stamp gets modified and the workflow gets launched. If it is the desired record then it clears the validation step and go to syndicate step. Syndicate step just mark the records for syndication, it doesn't actually syndicates it. At the last it is the job of syndication server to actually syndicate the records. With this design you will get all the updates records.

  • Automate query that export to excel

    Hi,
    I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question... but....
    I run some queries every day and export to an excel file and send by email every day, there is any way to make it automatic?
    Do anyone have any suggestion?

    You can use Dump_Csv developed by tom kyte. Below is the code that i modified for my requirement.
    create or replace function  dump_csv( p_query     in varchar2,

        l_columnValue   varchar2(2000);
        l_status        integer;
        l_colCnt        number default 0;
        l_separator     varchar2(10) default '';
        l_cnt           number default 0;
         l_colDesc          dbms_sql.DESC_TAB;
    begin
        l_output := utl_file.fopen( p_dir, p_filename, 'w' );

  • Automatic Workflow for Exporting

    Hi all. I am a teacher who has to write lesson plans. Because I work in a PC district and use pages to write my plans, every week I have to do the same thing 3 times (once for each class):
    1. Type the plans in pages
    2. Click share in the menu bar
    3. Click export
    4. Choose desktop as the location
    5. Choose pdf as the format
    6. click save (since I use the same name as the pages file I don't have to change that)
    All this clicking drives me crazy. There has to be some way to automate this. Perhaps with an applescript or something? What I want is something like a button or selection in the menu bar that will do steps 2-6 above automatically without any input from me. Any suggestions? BTW...I have no experience with applescript but am a basic/proficient Java programmer and am willing to learn.

    It may be a good idea to go to my idisk:

  • Batch Syndication General export error.

    I am getting the following error message when I do a batch syndication.  This is not consistent, but happens about 50% of the time.
    Syndication Error.
    (-301) General export error.
    Any idea on what may be the cause.
    Regards,
    Simon

    This is the info we got from SAP via OSS re this error ...
    Summary
    Symptom
    While using the Syndicator Batch  you are receiving general connection errors of the type (-301) General Export Error
    Other terms
    -301, batch syndicator
    Reason and Prerequisites
    The Syndicator Batch is running together with the Syndicator Server (batch and auto syndication inside mdss)
    OR
    The same repository is being processed by two batches
    OR
    You are syndicating from two different repositories using the same mdss
    Solution
    The issue is solved in SP04 Patch 2 Hotfix 1, however, if you do not need any ports syndication in parallel to the Syndicator Batch, then set the Auto Syndication parameter 'Auto Syndication Task Enabled' to 'False' in the mdss.ini and in this case you will not need to upgrade to the Hotfix. In case that you do need the ports syndication in parallel and you cannot carry out the upgrade, then you may use a workaround by increasing the Delay parameter in the mdss.ini to a much higher value i.e.3600 sec.

  • New "photos app" automatically sets video export at 720p. How do I set it to default it at 1080?

    Having a hard time with the transition of iphoto to "photos app".
    When I drag a video shot from my iphone 6 (1080p) to a folder, desktop, etc. It automatically exports it at 720p.
    The only solution I have found to maintain the 1080p is select the videos I want, and go to file > export and adjust the settings from there.
    iPhoto was easier. Just click, and drag to a folder. Anyone found a way to tweak this? I've been poking around for a while and can't find anything.

    Use export - always better than drag and drop since with export you control the parameters - with drag and drop you take wha you get with no options or controld

    I want to export it in CSV files for each table.
    Ho w can I do that?
    Regards,

    >
    but how can I automate the process to export the whole database tables?depending on os on which this will be run, you could create batch script in windows and schedule a task, or you could create shell sricpt and and place it
    in crontab. Also you could do automation on the database level http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/scheduler/htdocs/scheduler_fov.html
