Automatically goto Database Expert Links tab with add-in.

Is there a way to go to the 'Database Expert' screens tabpage 'Links' through code inside an Add-In?
After doing some stuff within an addin (programmed with .NET C#) I want to automatically go to the Database Expert screen and specifically to the Links tabpage without having to click the menu >> Database >> Database Expert... >> tab 'Links'.

Hi Dennis,
You did not say what version you are using but I am assuming you are referring to the Embedded Designer control within VS .NET. This component is not for distribution and can only be used within the .NET IDE for creating reports at application design time.
As AG suggested, you'll need to use RAS ( report application server ) to build your own database linking UI. As well as using it for all other report creation API's.

Database Expert Links tab work area is missing.

I was forced to give up my perfectly good PC when its lease ran out. When I reinstalled CR XI developer onto my new leased PC everything seemed fine until I needed to edit the links between tables. I can select tables on the Data tab within the Database Expert, but, when I select the Links tab I don't see the window containing my tables. It's as if that object was set to visible=false. Where has my window gone?

Database expert links tab index indicators

I have a report that doesn't display an index indicator beside any field names. Does that mean none of the fields are indexed or that I more likely have to check connections. It seems as though some of the fields should be indexed.

Hi Bill,
Depending on the database and which connector you are using, ODBC, OLE DB or native, depends on how or if they show up.
Also check with your DBA or add indexing to a know field to confirm if it is working.

Crystal Report VS2005 - Table fields missing in Database Expert

Hi,
I am having a problem with the Crystal Report comes with Visual Studio 2005. I am trying to develop a customized report for SAP Business One. When I try to add two tables using the Database Expert, there are certain fields missing in the LINK page. This is a big problem for me because I need to link that field with another table. Oddly, it doesn't seems that there are anything wrongs with the missing fields. If I click OK and check at the Field Explorer, the missing fields are there!!!
In other words, it is missing only at the Database Expert --> Link Tab. Anyone having the same problem? Is this a known issue or any patch that I can apply to resolve this issue?

Is there a way to select MULTIPLE tabs and then copy ALL of the the URLs and titles/or URLs+titles+HTML links? This can be done with the Multiple Tab Handler add on; However, I prefer to use a Firefox feature rather than download an add on. Thanks.

Currently, I can copy ONE tab's url and nothing else (not its name). Or I can bookmark all tabs that are open. However, I'd like to have the ability to select multiple tabs and then copy ALL of the the URLs AND their titles/or copy ALL of the URLs+titles+HTML links? This can be done with the Multiple Tab Handler add on; when I download the add on, I get a message saying that using the add on will disable Firefox's tab features. I prefer to use Firefox features rather than download and use an add on. Is there a way to do this without an add on?

You should definitely be able to upload multiple files by Shift-clicking or Ctrl-clicking the files you want to upload. Just to make sure you don't have an old version of the service cached, please clear the browser cache and then log in to https://cloud.acrobat.com/files. After clicking the File Upload icon in the upper-right corner, you should be able so select multiple files for upload.

Can I get links to automatically open in a new tab just by clicking on them?

I've selected the option to: "Open new windows in new tab instead" from the options menu. For some time this seemed to open any link I clicked on in a new tab. For some reason this feature is no longer working and new links clicked on simply overwrites the current tab with the new page. I liked the feature of having links open automatically in new tabs. The option remains selected but it does not seem to be working.

Add Command button not in the Database Expert: VS2003

We are using VS2003 and the bundled version of Crystal Reports. We have no plans of upgrading right now, unless we have to. What I'm trying to do should be simple...
We have an existing report that lists incomplete orders, including invoice# and items in the order. One of the possible order items is "MISC", however, that is not descriptive, so I am trying to add a SQL query that will look up the actual MISC item text based on Invoice # (one of the fields in the report). I was trying to do this via a subreport.
The help file and this Youtube video ( [Crystal Reports Tutorial Creating SQL Commands| http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHNHsIUbcn8] ) suggest the way to do this is to click "Add Command to Report" from the Database expert, which will let me add my own SQL command.
However, "Add Command" is not visible, and I cannot get it to appear. Under what circumstances would it be hidden or disabled? How do I get it to appear so I may add a custom SQL item to the existing report?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Not possible with your version of CR. You'd have to upgrade to the current version of Crystal Reports (12.x).

PDF goto named destination link with current zoom level

Hi,
I am created PDF file from 3b2 software with many links and bookmarks, The links with in documents are created with named destination bookmark names.
When I am click the link to navigate with in document it will goto the bookmarked location and zoom level will changed into “FIT TO WIDTH” but I am want to navigate over the document with current zoom level from the link where I am clicked.
For this process I am tried one method that is javascript action in link.
Using link properties
Action -> Add Action -> Select Action (Run Javascript)

By this method I am get what I am looking but I am having one problem,
First I will goto that book marked page with and after only it will fit to the current zoom level, so when I am go for previous view it will goback to "FIT TO WIDTH" zoom level, so this method failed.
And also I am unable to edit all the links in my PDF document by Manually.
So please advice me what is right way to navigate over the document with current zoom level from link where I am clicked.
Note:
The output PDF document will contain 100 number of links so I want to update all the links with my requirement by automation.
Is there is any way to handle this process by Acrobat SDK with C# , .NET

The zoom level must be current zoom level of the page where i am link click.

Firefox automatically opens a new tab with search results

When I visit a URL, Firefox loads that page and also opens a new tab with a URL based on some word in the original page. E.g., www.tripadvisor.com url opened in a new tab. Is this a feature I can turn off?
E.g., I searched for "shovel" in the location bar. A list of results was presented. The first one was as follows. When I clicked on that link, the Amazon.com page with a bunch of shovels opened, as well as another tab with the home page of Amazon.com.
May be this is a Google issue and not Firefox issue.

Do a malware check with some malware scan programs. 
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.

When I click a link, it opens 2 tabs with the same window

I am trying to open a link from a website. When I click it, 2 tabs with the same site open. It's only on a few links. How can I fix it?

How do I stop Firefox automatically opening and forcing me onto a second tab with a Google sign-in every time I open Firefox?

Every time I open Firefox to search for something - it automatically opens a second tab and forces me to that tab. On the second tab is the Google account login. I now avoid using Firefox if I can because I cannot shut this off.

Does this also happen in Safe Mode? You can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:

You can stop that behavior by changing two settings within the browser. Go to Tools -> Options and click on the CONTENT button. Make sure that "Block pop-up windows" is checked. Then click on the ADVANCED button on the far right and add a check to "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload".
That should stop most of them. If not all, then you could install AdBlock Plus add-on, since most of the redirects are ad generated. (Tools -> Add-ons -> Get Add-ons)

Why can't I open links in a new tab with a right click anymore? And why has the toolbar removed the refresh button?

Several basic functions seem to be have vanished from Firefox. I can no longer open links in new tabs with a right click, and the refresh browser button (and back/forward navigation buttons, etc) do not appear in with consistency anymore. How do I get these basic navigational tools back? (most recent updates are installed)

* If items are missing then see if you can find them in the "View > Toolbars > Customize" window

* If, in "View > Toolbars > Customize", you do not see that item then click the "Restore Default Set" button

Crystal 2008 hangs with Database Expert

Hello;
We just bought Crystal 2008 for two months.
Crystal report was working fine with 2008 version12.0.0.683 against MSSQL server 2005, but started to hang when selecting Database Expert from Memu.
It started to hang when I was working on a reprot using a complicated database procedure.
Now I am not able to create a new blank report through JDBC against our MSSQL server 2005. Crystal hangs just after I clicked on JDBC from Create New Connection in Database Expert window.
Please help.

Hi Jean,
You are using the original release and it was not DEP or Windows 7 or Vista aware.
Uninstall your copy and download the full SP 3 version, easier than applying each patch:
