Automatically logging into apex?

Is there a way to automatically log into ApEx?
I have a link to my hosted ApEx site on my webpage but I'd like to avoid having to type in workspace, username, and password when I visit.
Dave

I was having the same problem and I adopted the procedure you described above. But there are issue using this procedure. Let me first tell you what am i doing
In our Orgnization web we have a sign in page. We need a user ID and pasword and after authenticating the user from the database we make an active session (Language used is php, so a php session) . When the user loged in we have given a link of apex apps by making that app public (As you described above).
Every thing is ok but the only issue is that the users are now able to alter the values in the browsers how to avoide that.
So our target is to have the application public but user must not be able to alter values in the browsers.
thx

  • Computer will not automatically log into AirPort Network

I have a MacBook Air, running OS 10.7.5.  It will not automatically log into my AirPort Extreme, running Version 7.7.2 (I have to affirmitevely go in and choose my network every time I wake the computer up or open it).  Another computer in my home, a Toshiba, has the same issue.
The Mac will automatically log in to other networks that I regualrly use (e.g., at work and at friends houses), and the default on the Mac is set for automatic LogIn.
The iPhones in my home do not have this issue.
    Any suggestions?

    You're not alone.
I've had this problem since I unwrapped my brand new Mac Pro.
Even a clean install didn't cure it.
    Read this thread; http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1284484&tstart=0
My 'cure', which has yet to prove itself over 24hrs, is to:
Set up a New Location in System Prefs / Network.
Deactivate all other connectivity options (Ethernet/BT/FW) bar AirPort.
Move AirPort to the top of the list.
Uncheck the 'Ask to join new networks' and 'Show AirPort Status in Menu Bar' checkboxes.
    Apply settings.
I'll discover whether it works tomorrow morning, when I wake up my Mac.

  • Cant log into Apex Browser!!

Hello, I installed APEX no worries, can log in SQLPLUS no probs, but when I laucn the Apex home page from a browser, and supply a user and password (system for example) which i can log into SQL+ it dosnt allow me to via browser. I even tried to create another user and grant dba to it, still no joy. Anyone have any ideas please?
    Mark

    Mark,
Are you running Oracle XE or Oracle SE/EE?
If you are not running Oracle XE, then Apex users != Oracle users. You will have to first sign on to the INTERNAL workspace as the ADMIN user with the password you provided when you installed Apex. All of this is outlined in the installation guide.
    Thanks,

  • Why does my mac automatically log into a safari-only guest screen

    Hello all,
can I set my mac to start at the screen where I choose which account to log into? I can start into safe mode, but what do i need to do to get the machine to let me choose to log into my regular account? It bypasses this screen. Why? how can I fix it?

The cable connections have (so far) solved this problem for my situation. Even though the monitor's DVI cable was firmly connected to the mini Display port connector, when I touched it the attached monitor would go 'blue' or lose its connection entirely. After disconnecting and reconnecting this junction the monitors would still take a hit on touching the connection. I also checked the connection of the mini Display port connection to the graphics board and could not push it in any further. However, after a second go-round I unplugged this connection to the board and reconnected it. I am certain it was fully inserted the first time. But, connection contacts can oxidize over time and sometimes it may just need to be disconnected and reconnected to 're-wipe' the connections. This effectively cleans them at the point of contact. So in my case I'm thinking it was the connection age that was an issue more than a 'loose' connection. Either way, I haven't had this issue for the past two weeks.

  • Automatic logging into unknown server

A family member automatically logs-in as a guest to an unknown server called Thomson (in sharing) every time she logs-in.
Have unsuccessfully tried to remove it. Any suggestions?
I suspect this is what is causing the Mac to run slowly, although security is likely to be a bigger issue.
Can't remember what OS, but probably 10.4 something !
    Many thanks

We now understand that it's a brand of hub provided by a certain ISP. Nice of them to have mentioned it.....

  • Logging into APEX through Oracle XML DB HTTP Server and Embedded PL/SQL

    Hi,
I have just finished installing Apex 3.0 on RHEL 4. I am not using HTTP Server, but Embedded PL/SQL. When I go to the page administrator page http://host:8080/pls/apex/apex_admin a prompt pops up and when I give the username as "admin" and the password then it doesn't log me in. I ran the apxconf.sql script and reset the admin password and it is still not letting me log in.
    Please advise

Unfortunately, using the pl/sql gateway is not yet supported. The documentation should be more clear about that.
You'll need to use the HTTP server.

  • Dev Days Tutorials : Can't log into Apex and Can't connect to Ora server

    Hello All,
I downloaded the pre-built Oracle VM from Developer Days. The setup works fine. I am now trying to follow hands on labs. There are a couple of things I am stuck at (at the very beginning).
    1. The link to http://localhost:8080/apex does not work. Browser failes to connect. I suppose this is a required step continue labs.
    2. In SQL Developer (I am familiar with this app), I can't create a connection. I tried using SYSDBA, SYSOPER as user names with oracle as password, but can't go anywhere. One of the items in lab is to unlock the account 'hr'. SQL Developer and sqlplus won't let me log in.
One of the things I noticed when the VM boots is a message saying Oracle Listener is not set up and (probably) won't be starting.
I would appreciate if anyone would help with items above. Thanks in Advance.
    Ravi

I think the link is actually http://localhost:8888/apex well this one works for me anyway, using the Developer Day "Database App Development" downloadable VM

  • Authentification request when trying to log into APEX (localhost:9080/apex)

I installed Oracle XE with APEX 3.2, which worked fine for me for a while.
Latterly I don't get the page where I have to enter the workspace, username and password.
A popup asking for authentification appears saying "...display of the webiste: 'XDB'".
I try to login and afterwards the next authetification window appears, but this time it displays "... display of the webiste: 'APEX'".

I don't know what to do now...
It seems that I have to change something in the configuration, but where and what?
(note: standard port 8080 has been changed to port 9080 as 8080 is already used)

    Hello,
I have figured out what the issue was. It relates to the problems here: Apex 4.2.2 via Apex Listener 2 - returns blank screen
I don't know why I never seen this in the search. When I fully qualify the URL as: http://localhost:8080/ords/f?p=4550:1:0::::: the apex login screen comes us as expected.

  • Automatically logging into someone else's network

There are several networks in my office complex, including my own Belkin N wireless. Every time I start up my G5, the HWUN1A Wireless utility automatically connects to somebody else's open network, rather than to mine. Mine requires a password, the other one doesn't. Is there a way to set network preferences or otherwise prevent logging onto my neighbor's network -- and always choose my network instead?

Yes, it appears as "USB Ethernet (en1)"
When I click on "Advanced" there are several panes available, but none allow me to do anything about network preferences. (I'm familiar with how to do this with Airport, as I also have a PowerBoook I use at the office.)
I've written to Hawking Technology's support people about this issue, thinking there may be something I'm missing in their network utility, but have never had a reply from them.

  • Firfox automatically logging into yahoo when told never to save

I login to my yahoo mailbox, it states do I want to remember this password I click don't ever remember this password, I log out and click the link again and bang I'm straight back into my account.
No password is stored under the security tab.
It's stored in the exceptions and I've blocked cookies for yahoo.com
It will only work if I close the browser down completely.
I don't have the issue with other sites eg. facebook

Seems to be related to the bookmark URL I made on the toolbar.
I've edited it and now it keeps my username but not the password.
As it should only be valid for the session shirley?
    Tres bizarre

  • Logging into Adobe CC with a script?

So, I have a unique problem. I'm an art student, and my university has given me a free copy of Adobe Creative Cloud for a year for use on my personal PC. However, the computers in the lab on campus, automatically log into what I am assuming is a generic university account for Adobe CC when I log into the computer. I asked the IT department if it was possible to log out of CC and into my personal account so that I can sync my workspaces, fonts, colors, files, etc., and they told me it wasn't possible because the Creative Cloud Application Manager is disabled by default. However, they said it's something no one has ever asked about before, and it's not inherently frowned upon, so they created a custom.bat file that will run automatically on log in and told me that it might be possible to create a script that could log out of the school's Adobe CC account and either log into my personal account automatically, or prompt me for it when I log into my username. Does anyone know how I might go about doing this?

Looks like this topic is running on several threads here. I had an issue with this yesterday. I even changed my AOL password, then had to reboot. I finally got in last night, but this afternoon, once again I had problems. I've rebooted 6 times to no avail. I did sign up for an Apple account, but now my credit from AOL is missing. They really need to inform their users if they are having problems.

  • How do I stop Mail from automatically logging onto my email provider

Prior to Mtn Lion, anytime Mail started it would prompt me for the password to log onto my email provider.  If I didn't want to check for new email I would cancel out.  That's no longer the case.  If I log onto a wi-fi connection, Mail automatically logs into my email provider and downloads new items.  The prompt for a password no longer appears.  I've gone into my Mail account and removed the password but that didn't help;  I've gone into keychain and checked for the existence of items for Mail and found none; and I've gone into Mail preferences to the Advanced tab and removed the check mark on "include when automatically checking for new messages."  I'm still getting new messages.  Once I log into my email provider, I don't mind the automatic send/receive from happening.  However, when I'm on an untrusted system, I would prefer to control the activity.  Any help will be appreciated.  Thanks.

    Thanks for your help.
Before shifting to manual updates I'd probably prevent Mail app from starting automatically and leave it down until I'm ready for mail activity.  Once I logon I don't mind the periodic updates.  However, I should be able to work offline.  This was the case when Notes and ToDo's were part of the Mail environment.

  • Script or automator to auto-log into wireless network?

Is it possible to write a script or automator action to automatically log into a wireless network? I'd like to run this at startup to auto connect to a wireless access point.
    Thanks!

I'm certainly no expert on this topic, but...doesn't your computer already do this automatically? Mine certainly does.
In your System Preferences, click on the "Network" pane, then click on "Airport" on the left column, then make sure the "Ask to join new networks" click-box is checked. When it is, you will see this text below it:
"Known networks will be joined automatically. If no known networks are available, you will be asked before joining a new network."
Final step: Now click the "Advanced" button at the bottom of the Network pane, and make sure "Remember networks this computer has joined" box is checked. That is essential! Then close the System Preferences window. Done!
Henceforth, each time you encounter a hitherto as-yet unknown network for the first time, you will be asked before joining it. But once you have joined it, even only once, you will never be asked again! The computer will automatically rejoin any previously recognized wireless network you encounter.
One final detail: if you find yourself in a cloud of two or more overlapping wireless hotspots simultaneously, and the computer is not joining the one you prefer, then go back to that "Advanced" button in the Network pane, and rearrange the list of remembered Networks to have the one you prefer at the top. Then the computer will always join that one first, if it is available.
This is how I have my computer set up, and each time I restart or log on at home, it instantly and without asking automatically joins my home wireless network -- I'm not even conscious of it happening. By the time I sit down and launch Safari or Mail, I'm already online with no actions having been taken on my part. And if I find myself in my favorite cafe, I open my MacBook and it instantly and automatically joins the cafe's network, without asking, since my home network is now out of reach and the cafe's network is the second-highest on my priority list and thus the highest among available detected remembered Networks.
Hope this answers your problem. If you instead were seeking a different answer to a slightly different problem, then please re-clarify! Hopefully then someone who's more of an expert in Networks can answer it.

  • Logging into Mac OS X Wiki

    Hi all,
    Problem description:
We currently have a Mac Mini with Mac OS X 10.6 server
Users log into the realm - One username and password for all users
Users then log into the home page, the credentials for these are located on a MySQL server. - Each user has their own user name and password
Users can click on a link which takes them to the wiki, currently users have to login again.
    Question:
Is it possible to have the user automatically logged into the wiki when they click on the link or even when they log into the home page?
    Regards

You should have inserted your OEM DVD for Leopard while running Vista to install Apple BootCamp. That will add BootCamp to your taskbar, and BootCamp in Vista control panels. You can change the default there.
When in OS X, under the Apple menu (top left) => System Preferences (OS X control panels) to get to Startup Disk also.
