Automating bulk resubmission to enable guaranteed delivery

Hi,
In case target application goes down for a specific period of time(unplanned), is it possible to automate execution of instances, pending for manual recovery, using BPEL API. We have a requirement to do bulk resubmission if all the processes fail due to the same reason. Can this process be automated ?
If it cannot be automated, is AIA message resubmission utility the best approach ?
Thanks,
Hema

Upon failure in your integration flow, your transaction would have been rolled back to previous milestone. So you have to re-submit from your previous milestone and not directly using BPEL API. Moreover this approach is not recommended, since your ABCS composite could be accomplished using just a mediator component.
As of today this feature is not automated in AIA, you can use message resubmission utility provided by Foundation Pack.

  • Automated statistical goods receipt against inbound delivery

    Hi,
We have set up a process that we get a DELVRY03/DESADV Idoc from our vendor to confirm the delivery to our customer. This DESADV Idc will create an inbound delivery and a statistical goods receipt will be posted.
Now we have a new requirement, the vendor material has a serial number assigned. We get the serial number in segment E1EDL11 and it will be copied into the inbound delivery, unfortunately the statistical goods receipt will use transaction MB01 and it will post the statistical goods receipt against the purchase order details which did not contain the any serial number information.
Is there any way to set up the automated goods receipt against the inbound delivery and not against the PO?
    Thank you,
    Frank

    Hi,
Anybody out there who knows how to enable an automated goods receipt against an inbound delivery?
    Thank you,

  • SOAP Adapter - Guaranteed delivery

    Hi ppl,
I have a requirment where we are exploring the possibility of the source system being able to expose its data in http format so that we can get use XI SOAP adapter to get the same over https. As SOAP adapter would access the data through WAN, what would happen to the data if the WAN is broken? How does the guaranteed delivery work in case of SOAP adapter?

    >

    > thanks for your reply. For inbound messages, how will the data be recieved by SOAP adapter in case of broken WAN. If the source system is exposing the data once in every minute and the WAN is broken for 10 min, when it comes up again, will SOAP adapter recieve all the messages sent by the source system during the connectivity failure? I am not sure how the expose of data in http format works.
From your comments, it seems that the source system acts as a client, and PI (SOAP Adapter) will receive the data from the client.
You can configure the "Quality of Service" of the sender soap adapter with 3 possible options:
    - Exactly once (async)
    - Exactly once in order (async)
    - Best effort (synchronous)
In the first two cases, your client will get an HTTP 200 response (with an empy SOAP message), while in the last case it will get as a response the message you have configured in PI. Take into account that in the first two cases, even if there is an internal error in PI (mapping error for example) your SOAP adapter will still have delivered an HTTP 200 response, as the SOAP adapter did its mission (received the message and delivered it to the Integration Server).
If the client can't reach PI, it won't get an HTTP 200, it will get an HTTP 500 or other error code, so it's your client responsability to retry sending the message until it gets the proper response.

  • SOAP over JMS and Guaranteed Delivery

How to I configure a Web Service that uses the JMS Transport, and has guaranteed
delivery messaging? In other words, how do I configure the Web Service so that
when the Client invokes the Web Service, if the implementation of the Web Service
(such as a stateless session bean) is down, that the message will sit on the JMS
queue until the Web Service becomes available again? Am I supposed to use reliable
SOAP Messaging, or am I supposed to use “document” instead of “rpc” as the style
of the Web Service? Thank you.

    Hello,
Also see this example [1] and for extra credit :-) give the secure RM
    example a spin.

I haven't done this, but I was in the middle of reading the "Programming WebLogic

It appears that the configuration for using a JMS transport is somewhat independent
of reliable delivery (it's funny they call it "reliable" and not "guaranteed").
Using reliable delivery requires configuration of a JMS store on both the the
receiver and sender. If I were you, I'd completely read chapters 9 and 10 of
the aforementioned manual. Assuming all the instructions are correct, it seems
    detailed enough.
Please tell us whether you get this to work.

  • Product Hub PIP & Guaranteed Delivery

    Hello,
Question: How does the integration scenario for Product Hub PIP ensure 'Guaranteed Delivery'.
The question has arisen because if we look at the AIA Developer's Guide - it advises that for async one-way flow there is an 'Asynchronous Message Exchange Pattern'. This pattern proposes integration scenarios should utilize Queue/Topic (at the end of an milestone) to persist the message - which in turn ensures 'Guaranteed Delivery' & 'Scalability'.
But if we look at the design of the Product Hub PIP, we do not see any queue/topic in the business process flow for product. So how to ensure that if PIP is used as integration between Product Hub and E-Biz Suite, then all messages published from PIM will always reach E-Biz Suite.
Any efforts to explain this are appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Here are the steps to follow on edelivery. For example if you need the FP and PIPs for AIA 2.5 Linux x86
    1. Step 1: select the product pack - Oracle Application Integration Architecture
    platform: Linux x86
    2. Step 2: select Oracle Application Integration Architecture Release 2.5 Media Pack for Linux x86
    3. Step 3: Download part number V18465-01 - Oracle Application Integration Architecture Release 2.5 Linux x86
    4. Step 4: Additionally you will need to download all patches for this PIP and other infrastructure components required such as SOA Suite, database etc.

  • Messenger Express (IMS 5.2) Enable direct delivery of email to folder:

Suppose a user whose email address is [email protected] uses Messenger Express (IMS 5.2 with direct LDAP) to share a folder called "folder, and she enables the option
Enable direct delivery of email to folder:
    [email protected]
She also wants email addressed to
    [email protected]
to be delivered into this shared folder. Does the mail admin then modify the imta/config/aliases file and run
    imsimta cnbuild; imsimta restart
or is there another way to define such an alias?

Just so I am clear I understand:
    Mail addressed to:
[email protected] should be delivered to
    [email protected]
    mail addressed to
    [email protected]
    should be addressed to
    [email protected]
    right?
    You would need two things:
    1. mailalternateaddress or mailequivalentaddress for the two new names. MailEquivalentAddress is better, as it won't rewrite outbound mail addresses.
    2. A sieve script to deliver to the mailboxes.
so: Ldap entries to allow mail to be delivered to the correct user, and sieve filters to deliver to the correct folders.

  • Av check disabled in issue order and enabled in delivery

    Hi guys,
we are looking for a solution to deactivate the order av. check in the issue order and activate the av. check in the delivery at creation:
-requirement class : 0041 -> av. check  enabled
    -vov6 schedule line disabled
    - delivery item category av check enabled.
with checking group 02 from material master (av. check active)
-> the av check happens at order level
with checking group Z. (no check)  the av,. check happens only at time of goods issue
Does any one have any idea if this is not working for consignment process?
    Thanks a lot in advance
    Dominique

    1) Check the reservations for the material in MD04. The available quantity might have been confirmed for earlier sale orders and hence reserved for those sale orders.
There are 11,000 cases in unrestricted stock. No reservations for the material.
    2) Check the inhouse production time in MRP2 view of the material master. It should be filled with production lead time.
    Done
    3) In OVZ9, the checkbox "check w/o RLT" is unchecked.
    This is our current setup
    Net, issue is still there.

  • Guaranteed Delivery with QueueSender.send( ... )

If the send( ... ) method returns sucessfully, does this guarantee that the message has been stored on the queue? Or that it has been consumed?

When send() returns the message has been accepted by the JMS Provider, not delivered to the consumer. JMS is a loosely coupled architecture in which message producers are unaware of the eventual consumers of a message. The nature of the delivery guarantee depends on whether the delivery mode of the message is PERSISTENT or NON_PERSISTENT). A JMS Provider will guarantee that messages delivered to a Queue with a persistent delivery mode will not be lost, even in the event of a Provider crash. For messages published with a non-persistent delivery mode the Provider will do its best but there are no guarantees - for example, a Provider crash would typically result in the loss of the message. The JMS tutorial gives an excellent introduction, see: http://java.sun.com/products/jms/tutorial/.

  • Greyed out fields to be enabled in delivery schedule tab of ME21N & ME22N

    Hi Gurus,
I need to make two fields in PO create and change tcode, to be made editable as they are greyed out for particular document type and item category combination. Please refer screenshots below:
    Standard Order:
    Framework Order:
I tried settings in 'Define Screen Layout at Document Level' for that field selection as well as in Edit system settings at the item detail level...but still the fields are in disabled mode only. Any help in this regard??
    Thanks in advance...

    Hello Pramod,
As AKPT has pointed out, FO type documents are used for a broad framework type scenario, where most of the details are unknown at the time of releasing the PO.
The system by default allows standard, limit (B) and service (D) for such POs.
If you are trying to change the item category during creation (and not after the PO has history) please look at this IMG -> MM -> Purchasing -> Define Doc types -> Framework order FO -> Allowed Item categories.
I don't think delivery schedules are allowed for FO type orders.

  • Automated summary management not enabled in Admin

I probably missed something, I've run the eulasm.sql script but I still can't access the summary feature. I can only access the radio buttons to create external summary tables.
I am using Discoverer4i Admin Edition and 8.1.7.
    Thanks!

The summary management feature of Discoverer creates a
materialized view for aggregated data. To create MView following
    is prerequisite.
"To create a materialized view in your own schema:
You must have been granted either the CREATE MATERIALIZED
VIEW or CREATE SNAPSHOT system privilege and either the CREATE
    TABLE or
    CREATE ANY TABLE system privilege.
You must also have access to any master tables of the
materialized view that you do not own, either through a SELECT
    object privilege on
each of the tables or through the SELECT ANY TABLE system
    privilege.
To create a materialized view in another user's schema:
You must have the CREATE ANY MATERIALIZED VIEW or CREATE
ANY SNAPSHOT system privilege and access to any master tables of
    the
materialized view that you do not own, either through a
SELECT object privilege on each of the tables or through the
    SELECT ANY TABLE
    system privilege.
The owner or the materialized view must have the CREATE
TABLE system privilege. The owner must also have access to any
    master tables
of the materialized view that the schema owner does not own
and to any materialized view logs defined on those master
    tables, either
through a SELECT object privilege on each of the tables or
through the SELECT ANY TABLE system privilege.
To create the materialized view with query rewrite enabled, in
    addition to the preceding privileges:
The owner of the master tables must have the QUERY REWRITE
    system privilege.
If you are not the owner of the master tables, you must
have the GLOBAL QUERY REWRITE system privilege.
If the schema owner does not own the master tables, then
the schema owner must have the GLOBAL QUERY REWRITE privilege.
The user whose schema contains the materialized view must have
sufficient quota in the target tablespace to store the
    materialized view's
master table and index, or must have the UNLIMITED TABLESPACE
    system privilege."
Please check these settings/privileges then try.

  • Bulk Override to enable "Generate Alert" parameter for monitors/rules

    Hi Experts,
I am working on fine tuning Exchange 2010 management pack as per the monitoring requirement of the team. Most of the monitors have their workflow enabled but have the Generate Alert parameter disabled.
I was using Override Creator by Borris for enabling and disabling the workflows, but it doesnt help in creating override for Generate Alert parameter.
I almost have 700+ monitors or rule to be enabled for generating alerts is there any way i can do this using any script or any other tool?
    Regards,
    Prajul Nambiar

    Hi
GenerateAlert is the property of override same
as enable, you can apply override using below script and enable all monitors to generate alert.
    Import-module operationsmanager
    New-SCOMManagementGroupConnection
    $mps=Get-SCOMManagementPack |?{$_.name -match "sql"}
    $overrideMp= Get-SCOMManagementPack -Displayname "sql.Override"
    $Monitors=$mps|Get-SCOMMonitor |?{$_.xmltag -eq "UnitMonitor"}
    foreach($Monitor in $Monitors)
    if($Monitor.AlertSettings.AlertOnState -eq $null)
    $Target= Get-SCOMClass -id $Monitors[0].Target.id
    $overridname=$Monitor.name+".Override"
    $override = New-Object Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Configuration.ManagementPackMonitorPropertyOverride($overrideMp,$overridname)
    $override.Monitor = $Monitor
    $Override.Property = ‘GenerateAlert’
    $override.Value = ‘true’
    $override.Context = $Target
    $override.DisplayName = $overridname
    $overrideMp.Verify()
    $overrideMp.AcceptChanges()
Note : you need to have override mp with name sql.Override

  • Guaranteeing Message Delivery

Im using a topic, but I dont care if I receive messages while my subscriber is down.
However, I need guaranteed delivery while my subscriber is up.
So, I just thought i needed to use DeliveryMode.PERSISTENT for my publishers, and not bother about durable subscribers.
I heard the other day though that providers dont have to guarantee topic delivery unless BOTH durable subscribers AND persistent messages are used (e.g, they are allowed to drop messages due to throttling etc).
Is this true? I cant find anything in the spec to back it up!
    Hope you can help!

If you want guaranteed message delivery, you can always make the subscriber durable and then start sending the messages.
well the part of spec which satisfies your query is-
"NON_PERSISTENT messages, nondurable subscriptions, and temporary
destinations are by definition unreliable." JMS1.1 section 4.10.

  • Anyone else have Apple miss a guaranteed Christmas delivery date?

Anyone else order an iPad 2 for a Christmas present, with a guaranteed deliver date by Christmas and Apple delivers on the 27th?

I certainly understand your disappointment, but the fact remains that there is nothing that you can do about it. It is out of your hands and out of Apple's hands as well. I had young children at one point - many years ago - and in order to not run into this type of situation, I would purchase those "hot and hard to get your hands on" purchases in early Novemebr or as soon as they became available on the market.
I can't tell what Apple's guarantee means exactly but I would have to assume that this guaranteed delivery could only mean under any circumstances that they can control. FedEx has the guaranteed overnight delivery - if you are willing to pay for it - but if the plane crashes that your package is being transported on - what good is the guarantee in that case? I can telll you what the guarantee is in that case - you don't have to pay for the delivery - that is all that it means.
No company can guarantee anything that might is beyond their control. Once again, I do understand your disappointment and that the child will be disappointed as well, But consider it a lesson learned and move on. You can go back and forth until the cows come home discussing "what the guarantee means" but it will not help your situation at all.
