The amount of options I have for my displays resolution suddenly went down.  Now I can't choose a resolution at different hertz, and no 1440 X 900.  Only up to 1280 X 800, what happened

  • What Resolution To Crop For Photo Display On Widescreen TV?  Please Help

    Hello,
I'm having great difficulty trying to crop my photos for display on a widescreen TV.
The resolution of the TV is 1920x1080, and when I crop to those dimensions I get the black letterbox bars on top and bottom of the screen when I display my photos on the TV.
What specific XXXX x XXXX numbers should I use when I crop in order to display my photos from edge to edge on the TV without the black letterbox bars?
Also, could you please specify the proper ratio number to enter into Lightroom for the same purpose?  Apparently Lightroom requires a ratio number as opposed to pixel numbers in the dialog box.   When I enter 16 : 9, the resulting crops display the black letterbox bars when viewed on the TV.
I've searched the net and read many discussions about pixel aspect ratios and dimensions and square pixels, etc., and I am totally confused because I should be able to achieve my goal with a 16:9 ratio, but no matter what I do I end up with the letterbox bars when displaying my photos on the widescreen TV.
    Thanks very much in advance!

You'll need to describe just how you're getting those images onto the TV I think, for people to be able to answer this reasonably.
Is the TV plugged-in to the computer's video card?  Or are you making a video that you're displaying off a DVD or similar?

  • The font for english display has changed

    Hello,
I have this problem where the font that displays on my browser has changed to an unknown f0nt. It is still an English alphabet compatible font, so I can read what is written, but its harder to tell what it says compared to other more fundamental/basic fonts.
I'm not too sure what font it is, but regardless I would like it not to show up. I've tried to change some of the settings, but nothing has worked so far.
I work on a MACOSX system.

  • Photos out of order. How to change the 'Date Taken' date on ipod touch?

Since updating to ios8, some of my camera photos have randomly changed their dates to 2015. Does anyone know how I can change the date on these back so that they appear in the right sequence?

Yes. You can batch change those photos with the Photos->Batch Change->Date menu option. You an add a time differential between every photo so they will be chronologically sorted in the order you put them before changing the date.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Error message when changing personal data

Whenever a user tries to change personal data in ESS, the system returns an error message "Start date should be after 12.01.2012 or later." (or whatever the current day is...)
I can't find a note or whatsoever to solve it. Is this a known error in ESS?

You have implemented the BADI  HRXSS_PER_BEGDA which results in this error
ESS scenario's will allow data creation/modification starting
from a Default Start Date.  By default this Default Start Date
is set to Today's date.  To further explain, when the Default
Start Date is set to Today's date ESS User can create or
change a data record valid starting from Today's date

  • Protocol Issue for the photo in Who's Who and Change Own Data

    Experts !!
We have implemented EP 7.0 with ESS.
Inside Who's Who and Change Own Data employee photo display is configured which is coming via content server.
This is http content server and tied to repository id.
Now SSL is implemented so all the web dynpro page which is rendered is https:// <xxx> format.
Similarly, Change Own Data WD Page is also a https:// if we look at the url.
Strange part is that photo which appears is still http. Via tcode OAC0, I have maintained the ssl port as 443, but of no use.
Any idea to make it https and then close port 80 for security reasons.
    Appreciate your input and help.

  • IPhoto displays incorrect dates for photos imported from iPod

I recently purchased the iPod Camera Connector for use with my 4G iPod with color display (iPod Photo). I took a few pictures on my Canon SD110 digital camera and used the Camera Connector to copy the pictures to my iPod. I then plugged the iPod into the computer, opened iPhoto, and imported these pictures from the iPod. All of this worked without a hitch.
However, I noticed that the roll of images that iPhoto created is dated incorrectly (it says 12.31.2000). The photos themselves have the correct date (5.21.2007) but the incorrect time (3:15p instead of 6:15p).
My camera, computer, and iPod are all set to the correct date and time. Any idea what's causing this? It's not a particularly big deal as I can just change the dates on the rolls to match what the photos say (and adjust the times on the photos to be 3 hours ahead), but I shouldn't have to do this if all of the date/time information is set correctly.

All photos from the My Photo Stream go into a monthly Event.  If you sort your Events by Date - Descending the most recent Events will be at the top of the Event window.  The monthly Events will look like this:

  • I scanned an old photo but the date displayed is today, I want the date to be the date the photo was taken.  How do I change the date of the photo in iPhoto 11?

I scanned an old photo but the date displayed is today, I want the date to be the date the photo was taken.  How do I change the date of the photo in iPhoto 11?

There are two kinds of metadata involved when you consider jpeg or other image file.
One is the file data. This is what the Finder shows. This tells you nothing about the contents of the file, just the File itself.
The problem with File metadata is that it can easily change as the file is moved from place to place or exported, e-mailed, uploaded etc.
Photographs have also got both Exif and IPTC metadata. The date and time that your camera snapped the Photograph is recorded in the Exif metadata. Regardless if what the file date says, this is the actual time recorded by the camera.
Photo applications like iPhoto, Aperture, Lightroom, Picasa, Photoshop etc get their date and time from the Exif metadata.
When you export from iPhoto to the Finder new file is created containing your Photo (and its Exif). The File date is - quite accurately - reported as the date of Export.
However, the Photo Date doesn't change.
The problem is that the Finder doesn't work with Exif.
So, your photo has the correct date, and so does the file, but they are different things. To sort on the Photo date you'll need to use a photo app.

  • Can change date for photo?

Can one change the date successfully for a photo in LR?
It seems that most of the metadata section is locked, and even if you can change, a field says "meta data has been changed."
    Thanks.
PS can one change their email address of this forum?

Here's the sequence of screens I used to edit my email address.  If these don't work for you, I suggest posting in the Forum Comments forum, specifically dedicated to issues with the Adobe forums themselves.

  • URL generation of Change Own Data Photo

    Hello,
The URL for employee photo under ESS "CHANGE OWN DATA" application is getting generated via FM HRWPC_RFC_EP_READ_PHOTO_URI.
This FM is returning the URL as http://<server>:<port>/sap/bc/contentserver........
Now the <server> in the above url points to the ECC server url. This ECC serevr url is NOT accessible over intenet for our environment. Becaus of this photo is NOT visible over internet though the same is working fine within our INTRANET.
We want to change the <server> url with the webdidpsatcher url so that the final url that will be returned by the FM will be
    http://<webdispatcher>/sap/bc/contentserver.......
Can anyone please suggest where exactly we need to make the setiings for this. Do we have to modifty the FM itself OR this can be done through configuration?
    Regards
    Deb

It seems that it is something to look into the entries in the table
HTTPURLLOC. Please can you check the url here?
The URL is generated from the FM HRWPC_RFC_EP_READ_PHOTO_URI,
So check it from here correct URL is generated or not
    Please review documentation :
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/59/31ae42e0fac911e10000000
    a1550b0/frameset.htm
Please review below SAP Notes :
    1033071
    685521
Please also check the attached note 712330.
Also take a look at notes 1094976 and 1289938 too.
You would need to do the repository settings in order to enable https
communication. Kindly follow the below steps for your photo repository:
    1. Go to transaction OAC0 and select the repository
    2. In edit mode, type %https in the command field for advanced settings.
    3. Now select "HTTPS required" from the dropdown for both HTTPS on
frontend and HTTPS on backend. Save the settings.
Please also refer the notes 712330,712332.
Currently we generate a HTTPS URL to acces the photo to the R/3 system.
But since there is no https service active in
R3, we do not get any response and thus no photo is displayed.
You can check services available in R/3 system using transaction SMICM
and usingn menu path Goto-> services. . I did see HTTPS service
    activated this is correct.
Maintain an entry in the table HTTPURLLOC with following details:
    protocol: https
    host: <web despatcher host name>
    port: <web despatcher port number>
This will ensure that the URL will be generated to web despatcher and
not backend and if the HTTPS service is active in Web Despatcher, then
we will get the  response and photo will be displayed.

  • For Refreshing a table display in ALV when data is chngd in maintainance vi

    Hi All,
I am displaying the fields of a Ztable in a ALV report. A maintainance view call button is attached to that report through which data of Ztable can be changed.Prolem is that when after changing the data when I return back to report, changes are not reflected.
Kindly suggest to solve this problem.
I am using ALV display through class.
I have already used these functions in the else condition of IF GO_CUSTOM_CONTAINER IS INITIAL.
    CALL METHOD go_grid->refresh_table_display.
    CALL METHOD cl_gui_cfw=>flush.
For maintainance view I am using the function as
VIEW_MAINTENANCE_CALL on double clicking the maintain button.
    Kindly suggest.
    Ashutosh Kumar

    Ashutosh,
Just calling the REFRESH method will not work. You need to re-fetch the data into the same internal table which you using the displaying the data in the grid.
Probably you can write this data fetching as a subroutine and call this as soon as come back from the Maintenance screen. And updating the internal table, call the REFRESH method.
    This should work.
    Regards,
    Ravi
Note : Please reward points if this helps.

  • How can I change the date old photos were taken when I only know the year?

I've scanned lots of old photos and I want to change the date to reflect when they were taken. In some cases I only know the year and I don't want inaccurate information to be assigned by the software. How can I do this?

Actually a specific wrong date is no more inaccurate than a year with no more info - neither is correct, just incorrect in different ways
the software de not ever assign a date to a photo - you do o your camera does
iPhoto has no provision for an approximate date do you have to leave them undated in the EXIF fields and use a description field or pick a date to use for unknown - 1/1/xxxx is one suggestion

  • How can I change the date or location of multiple photos in Photos OSX?

In iPhoto it was easy to change the date, description, title or even the location of a bunch of photos at the same time, is it possible to make it in the new Photos App?

It's possible to adjust the date and time, and pretty much the same way as in iPhoto. For the others, search the Photos forum, folks have posted Applescripts that will help.

  • How do I *REALLY* change the date on photos?

I'm having trouble with this, and I'm sure there has to be a fix.
Let's say I took a group of photos last week. But oops, I forgot to set the date and time on my camera. So when I import the photos, iPhoto places them under April 2004 instead of June 2007.
No problem. I select all the photos, do a batch change on the date, and they now "appear" to be taken in June 2007.
But they weren't really changed. If you view the info for the photos, you'll see that they are still marked as April 2004 for the original date.
So basically iPhoto has set-up some type of filter to show the photos in 2007, even though the computer still believes they are from 2004.
This became a big problem when I imported my library to my new Mac. Perhaps I did something incorrectly, but I had quite a few imported photos that reverted back to their Original date, instead of the fake one I had set up in iPhoto. So my Library was a mess and I had to re-organize my collection.
This problem would be avoided if iPhoto really and truly changed the date timestamp on my pictures, as I asked.
I've downloaded several programs that offer photo meta editing. None of them did the job. They just changed the photo "Date Modified" to be June 2007. But if you look at their properties, they still show 2004 as the Original Date.
Mac OS X is a very smart system. Surely there is some way to truly force change the dates on photos. Afterall, they are just data in themselves. I can't imagine there isn't a way.
Can you help? Is there a work-around in iPhoto or OSX, or a separate program I can download?
    Thanks!

MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.10)   iPhoto 6.0.6

    Jon:
Dragging the thumbnails to the desktop and exporting are essentially the same process, producing copies of the full sized image file. Exporting gives you other options, however. Once you get the photos out of iPhoto you can run PhotoInfo on them and then import as new files. iPhoto will see those new files with the correct date. If you try running PhotoInfo on files already in iPhoto, you can change the EXIF Capture Date in the file but iPhoto won't recognize the changes.
