Avery templates & scanning

I would like to see Avery templates added to Numbers.
I love the program but I am finding a few reasons why I wish I still had Word. This and a way to scan into a document.

No need to use Word, just open the Avery Word templates in Pages.
Of course, Pages won't merge from anything other than Address Book & will only use one contact per page.

How do I customize my html page in Dreamweaver CS5 to an Avery template that I wish to print out?

Dreamweaver and websites do not easily match up to Avery templates.  If you are trying to develop a program for customers/etc to print labels, you should look for a script to generate a PDF file to ensure the accuracy of the printing.
If you are trying to use Dreamweaver as a substitute to print your own labels, I would highly recommend using Microsoft Word, or Adobe InDesign for a better solution.

  • Using Avery Templates with Pages

I am new to Pages. I want to format Avery 8387 Card in Pages instead of Microsoft Word. Are there Avery templates in Pages like there are in Word. Can I use Pages to make Avery labels? Please help!

    Cards are rectangles.
Rectangles can be drawn and arranged in position on a page with minor use of maths.
As fruhulda has said Pages will open the Word documents supplied by Avery.
…and guess what's on those Word documents?

How Can I use an avery template in this program. I need to do labels.

Hi, this is the template I downloaded:
    http://www.avery.co.uk/avery/engb/Templates-%26-Software/Templates/Blank-Templates/Cards/Business-Cards/QuickCl ean-Business-Card-Double-Sided-8-per-pageMicrosoft-Word.htm?N=4294967191%204294965759&refchannel=1b1e13f6c345d110VgnVCM10 00002118140aRCRD
When I load it in to pages it sits to the right. Select all and centre and it prints slightly to the left
Thanks for the tip about the mac software I've downloaded that

  • Officejet j4580 avery template printing

For some time I have been having problems w/printing A5 avery templates on cardstock. Sometimes the message appears in the bottom portion of the card where it should appear if it was being handwritten.  At other times the text will appear in the center of the card on the fold, at the top or only the signature will appear.  I have tried the e-mail troubleshooting-solution route and the CS reps did not act as if they understood the problem and sent a number of 'solutions' that did not work.  Thank you for your help. Drycreek.

I am having the same problem and my theory is that the card stock is slipping while being fed through the printer.  I've not figurered out a solution yet.

  • Using avery templates/products

    new to mac in general
trying to do the simplest of things . . . which is print a business card
Have the paper (avery - clean edge yada yada)
    Have been here HOURS
I am sure I can do some sort of custon layout etc to match the format of the paper i am using
but there must be a simpler way???
Have apple works and I works . . . . am I going to have to get Word for Mac?
OH and the Mac templates for Biz cards s--- Used the assistant to do a biz card template - awful and totally inflexible
why is everything seemingly so difficult???????????
ibook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.5)   iworks appleworks

What makes the Appleworks business card assistant interesting is that you are really creating a database. Once you select the correct Avery template you can vary the layout to the nth degree, add graphics, change information on the card, etc.
You only have to change the info and layout on one record and it changes on all the business cards on the page. Pages has nothing like this.
    appleworks:
To create a new document using an Assistant:
1 If Starting Points isn't open, choose Show Starting Points from the File menu.
    2 Click the Assistants tab.
3 Click an Assistant. (Click on the business card assistant)
4 Follow the instructions provided by the Assistant.
After creating your business card "database" click on the layout menu (top of the screen) and then select 'layout' in the top options. This will take you to the layout screen where you can add graphics, adjust the fonts you are using, etc. Follow the instructions that are in the layout window.
Business cards can be customized easily from the layout view and best of all, any change you make here applies to all cards on the page.

  • Still trying to insert my photo into Avery template

Thank you I was able to turn the background to white.  However I am still trying to figure out how to insert my image into this template so I can then have photoshop manage the color and print it with my Epson 3800 printer.  When I click on the template it says could not complete your request because more than one layer is selected.  This what Avery sent in the download.  Do I have to do this in layers?  I just want to insert the phot and print my images on the postcard templates I bought from Avery.  Anyone get what i am asking?
    Thanks,
    Andrea

    Andrea,
It is very poor netiquette to start a duplicate thread for the same issue you're discussing elsewhere:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/5246034?tstart=0#5246034
It causes confusion and wastes time and efforts of other users.
No, your question is not clear because you have given us almost no information and have not provided pertinent screen shots.  The terminology in the description of your problem is far from clear.
Please read this FAQ for advice on how to ask your questions correctly for quicker and better answers:

  • Importing Avery Template / Import Warning

I downloaded a .doc template from the Avery site and opened up it in Pages but I get a warning:
Import Warning - Floating objects inside table cells aren’t supported and were removed.
The result is a blank page with no fields to type in.
I know from searching this topic in this forum I can go to the Avery website and do it online but I'd like to be able to merge Address Book addresses for Christmas cards...

Reading a post from Peggy tells me to use Address Book to print labels. In trying it out it gives me the Avery layouts right in the printing screen. Very cool. Works for me.

  • Label Templates or Software for Mac, Please. Avery software is no longer compatible.

    Hi Guys:
Mac Book Pro OS 10.9.1 Maverick
    Pages 09 and Pages 13
Avery no longer has downloadable software for Mac.  I have gone back to using Pages 09 as the new one isn't great. Label templates have always been a weakness in the Mac soft ware. I did have third party software from Avery which doesn't work with either Mountain Lion or Maverick.
I contacted Avery and they have an online site where you can create labels. I have limited band width so not an option. They replied back and I quote,
"We can only recommend using Microsoft Word for MAC as anlternative if you are only able to go online for a limited time. This software has preset Avery templates available. For more inquireis with this software, kindly check with Microsoft."
I copied this directly from there email. I had a hard time not correcting the spelling errors.
If I wanted Microsoft Software I would have bought a PC not a Mac.
If anyone knows of any label software out there that is compatible with Maverick, Please advice. I sure hope so.
I create a lot of labels,  less mailing more decorative.  If there is no other option I will purchace office for Mac. I really would like to avoid that.
My other option is to get the border---guide settings {not the right terminology} from Avery and create my own. With this fancy computer of mine I shouldn't need to.
Any constructive help will be greatly appreciated.

Label templates are pretty ubiquitous these days. Where is this data coming from? You generally need something that can conceptualize a database like this. Word can do that with its merge functionality. Apple Contacts has label printing built in. It all depends on the software you are using and where you are getting the data.

I'm sorry, but Pages won't correctly open the Avery templates with the .doc extension. They open, but all the formatting is lost. Just a blank page.
I tried to chane extension to .template, as suggested by the Pages -Help window. That didn't work either.
Talk about a daily necessity as a feature.

  • How to access custom mailing label templates

    Hello,
I am using Microsoft Word 2010 on a PC and trying to create a custom label modeled after the Avery 5392 Label using the Mailing Label wizard. Can you tell me where these templates are saved? I need to add some color to the bottom of the template.
Thanks in adance for your response.
    -Greg

    Hi Greg,
You don't need an Avery template to create a merge using the Avery 5392 format. 5392 is included in the built-in labels set. However whether you start from a downloaded template or the built in template, the principle
    is similar to these reference:

  • How to print avery address labels 5160

Sorry but I am not finding the right steps after reading several pieces of advice on this,
and am wondering if this is all different after upgrading to Lion.  I know I simply printed
labels at the holidays, but the types of Avery templates no longer shows up under
address labels on the print "layout" choices.  I do now have Pages, but they don't have
a mailing label option (why???) and I can no longer use Microsoft Word since upgrading
to Lion. Help! Can someone put this in really simple steps for me please?

Pages v5 does not play nice with current Avery label templates in Word format. Pages v5 does not natively perform mail merge without adapting a third-party AppleScript solution.
Labelist 8 is in the OS X App Store for USD $20. It is comprehensive, label software. Download button on their site gives you a free, full functional, 30-day trial. Recommend you consider Labelist over any Pages v5 kludge. Your time has a value.

  • CD/DVD template Adobe Elements 8

Whenever I want to print on a full face printable CD or DVD I use Photoshop Elements to create the design.  To ensure that everything is kept within the outer and inner diameters of the DVD (e.g. to avoid the central hole from being near a person's face!), I suspend a piece of thin glass in front of my computer screen, on which I've drawn around an old DVD disk, I then create my design looking through the glass.
Instead of using this rather cumbersome way of doing it, I believe it is possible to create the same sort of transparent image template in Photoshop Elements.   I have tried to work out how to do this without success and the Photoshop Elements manual (page 7) only tells what you CAN do, but not the actual procedure as shown below right.
Could someone please tell me how to do it.
    Thank you.

Have you tried the Avery templates for Photoshop?
