Is there a way to:
Avoid Duplicate Tasks when Expanding Groups for Custom Task Process?
I've got a people metadata column that I am planning on putting groups into.  I want the groups to expand and send a task for all users in the groups.  I also want to avoid creating multiple tasks if a user happens to be in two groups at the same
time.
I'm trying to work out a way to assign users a read task based on job training requirements.  Right now assigning groups and using a workflow task to confirm read is what I'm trying to accomplish.  I just end up getting two tasks for a user if
their in multiple groups.

Hi David,
Please verify the followings:
After Participants, select Parallel(all at a once)
Expand Task Options, select ‘Assign a task to each member within groups’
Open the action properties, make sure ExpandGroup is Yes
Also in SharePoint Designer ,you can edit the property for the Start Approval Porcess to enable ExpandGroup:

    I am doing a work around.
    1. Using project I select tasks 201 to 216 and link it to get the predecessors, which I copy and paste at the task 300 and unlink and delete the predecessors from 201 to 216.
    2. create sequential list from 200 to 215 in spreadsheet (excel) and copy at task 300.
    Is there any better way ..

    If you have the list arranged properly, you can do this.
    Say you have a list of tasks 201 - 216 inclusive, and they are the predecessors of tasks 301 - 316 inclusive.
    Display the ID column, copy the ID numbers 201 - 216, then paste the list into the predecessors of 301 - 316.
    If you have tasks 201 - 216 and they are all predecessors of 217 (because 217 is a finish  milestone), you can type in all of the predecessors 201,202,203,...216. However, it is easier to copy the ID numbers from the ID column, paste them into MS WORD,
    display the hidden characters to show the paragraph marks, then use replace to replace the paragraph marks with commas, then copy the list and paste back into MSP in the predecessor cell of task 217.
    There are many tricks like this to avoid typing.
    Another useful trick is to use concatenation in EXCEL to construct text strings and paste back to MSP.

    You can go to PWA server settings, manage views, pick up a project view (such as task summary) and add the "deadline" column. Then opening your project Schedule and selecting the view in question, you'll be able to update the tasks' deadlines.

    Hi, there is not standard solution, we did customized process for consignment credit block , check below
    1. defined status profile - with lock/auto/approved/rejected and new t.code for approval or rejected.
    2. maintained consignment credit limit in Z table
    3. logic for detemining status written in sales order save userexit.
    4. while calcualting the values, system need to check open sonsignment order of customer/ open deliveries/ stocks at customer place MSKU table. and calculate value with MBEW/KONV ect.
    5. if value is less than Z table then status AUTO, which do not need release, if value is greater than Z table put status LOCK means credit block need to release from new T.code.

    I am  new to NWBC configuration , need ur expert knowledge  for the below issue. I have checked the treat . Approve/Reject button for SRM Approval for RFx response ,but not able to get the exact steps for the configurations in NWBC.
    Requirement.
         We are working on SLM/SRM module, where we have requirement to create a custom workflow with custom Task for which we have executed below actions.
    Created the Custom Workflow.
    Created the custom Task with custom  ZCLASS and ZEVET.
    Created   Event linkages in SWE2.
    After doing this we are getting the workitem in the NWBC, currently we don’t have the Portal system in place, so we are using the NWBC for all our testing.
    What is the issue?
         When we select the workitem in the NWBC (UML) inbox  , the Decision Task ie “Approve” or “Reject” button are not visible , where as for SAP standard  Task  buttons are visible.
    What help we need?
      When we cross check the SCN/IBM portal, found that we need to do the XML file configurations. Can you any one kindly let us know the steps we need to follow to achieve our functionality.

    You need to share the details of what Inbox you are using, configuration steps depend on it. If you aren't using portal, you aren't using UWL and there is no UML inbox. You need to get your facts straight. Most likely you are using the Business Workflow Inbox (SWF_WORKPLACE) or the Lean Inbox (IBO_WDA_INBOX). Both are based on Web Dynpro ABAP and POWL but the configuration is different. Regardless, you posted this in the wrong space. Correct space is either SAP NetWeaver Business Client or Web Dynpro ABAP.

    When I left my job for the last time I uploaded my Microsoft Outlook Contacts to the Cloud so that I could synch it with my Iphone (which I did).  Now I would like to also synch the Address Book on my Macbook  with the Cloud and my Iphone so I can integrated all of these contacts.  First I do not know if I can do this since my MACbook is a few years old aand I do not see the Cloud Icon anywhere on it.   Second of all I am not sure which area (Cloud, Iphone, or Macbook) take precedence when synching.   Can I lose data?  Does one systems dat over ride the other?  How can I avoid duplicate data?    I am a fairly new Mac user and  love the way things are integrated so I think I should not worry but I need help.  thanks, tdag55

    in XD03, enter customer number, view the customer and go to "Extras / administrative data", there you can see the account group.

    members" it just creates a task is specific Site and moves

    I tried to
    find if Projects and Check box are columns of Task list , but did not find any

    I am trying
    to create a event receiver which would make these columns be set to Site Name
    and check box checked so that when user creates a task it will directly move to
    Custom Task list.<o:p></o:p>

    overlay the results from the content query onto a calendar.

    Hi,
    You can change the account assignment group in completely open orders via tcode "MASS" by selecting object type BUS2032.
    since the account assignment group will be picked from sales order, need not to be changed in open delivery or billing.
    Also for partial processed order would advise pls do not change the account assignment group. Another option could be to close the open orders and creat equivalent qty new order with correct account assignment group.
    Pls check & revert.

  • Exporting Versions: avoid duplicate files when using external editor?

    I've got an Aperture Library containing TIFF masters. Some of the files have been edited via built-in Aperture tools; others have been edited using an external editor (PhotoShop). I want to do a batch export of all the Versions as scaled-down JPEG. If I select all the files in the library and export, everything works as expected, but there is one nuisance: every file that has been edited externally is exported twice.
    For example, consider a file named "MyFile-1.tiff", which exists in the library in the original version and the edited version, with the same filename. The export writes two files:
    MyFile-1.jpg (the original version)
    MyFile-1 (001).jpg (the Photoshopped version)
    I only want and need the edited version. So "MyFile-1.jpg" is extraneous and needs to be deleted, and "MyFile-1 (001).jpg" needs to be renamed.
    Is there any way to prevent this from happening without manually deselecting all of the individual version files I don't want to export? I don't see any setting or smart album feature that would say "when you find a file that has been edited externally, export only the externally edited version".
    It's not a big deal for me to use batch file renaming to clean up the exported files, but it is one more step in the workflow that I'd rather avoid.

    Do the original versions of the externally edit images have Aperture adjustments applied? And if so would you then want both of the images exported?

    2. REPx are the folks who are in the IN_Team. They handle monitor invoices and run reports on them (READ - Only)
    3. APPx are the folks who are in the PO_team. They approve order and sometimes modify them (READ-WRITE)
    4. CLIx are the clients each of whom send PO and expect IN in return
    5. CLI1 - APP1- REP1 together handle one client.
    Now the requirement is something like this
    1. APP1 must be able to see the PO and IN only from CLI1
    2. APP1 must be able to see editable view of PO from CLI1
    3. APP1 must be able to see red only view of IN from CLI1
    4. REP1 must be able to see the PO and IN only from CLI1
    5. REP1 must be able to see read only view of IN from CLI1
    6. REP1 must be able to see read only view of PO from CLI1
    7. In exception cases APP1 can assign a PO from CLI1 to APP2
    Can someone help me in the design of groups and permissions for this?

    Groups are the way to go. Every Human Task can be assigned to either a user or a group or a user and a group. Select the last option so that it goes to a particular user but also to a group. That way anyone in the group can approve these tasks though it is sent to one particular users list. Anyone from that group can pick that task up and approve it
