Avoid the display of the red cross when the image is absent
The user upload images to my web site.
He can enter 3 images; but sometimes he enters only 2.
When an image is absent, the browser try to find it and
display a small red cross at the left corner. My concern was to
avoid the display of this small red cross when the image is not
there?
I tried to imbricate HTML and PHP code, but it does not work.
Is there somebody who can help me?
Thanks a lot.

Hi All,
1st would like to say sorry if I have posted in the wrong error and I don't know much about blackberries.
We have a client that is having a few problem with sending emails.
When they send emails from inside the network (Via wireless) the email send OK.
If they try sending an email from outside the network 5 mins later they get a red cross next to the email they just sent. They could be sending via 3g or on their home wireless.
They don't have a Blackberry server, they send through their providers website, (I.E they log onto their blackberry account and the exchange account is set up in there). (Think its called Blackberry internet service??) When logging in to the account everything is set up OK as they have the green tick to say so.
They have exchange 2003 version 6.5 (Build 7638.2 with service pack 2.
We have another 3 companies that are set up this way with no problems.
Any help would be very grateful.
Thanks
Regards

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
If you open up the sent message with the red cross it should say why it failed. Can you provide the error message?

Red Cross in place of interactive form in portal...
Hi Experts,
We have created an interactive form and embedded into portal.
Form Layout is ZCI and Display type is Native.
For majority of the users it is working fine. Where as for some users (Though they have Adobe 9 version) the adobe form is not getting displayed. Instead "Red cross" is displayed in place of form.
Please suggest us at the earliest as the form is in production now.
Thanks & Regards,
Phani.Hi Friends,
The issue was due to Adobe Reader settings and finally resolved.
Here is the Answer:
In the Adobe Reader EDIT menu -> Preferences
Select Internet and check the Display PDF browser check box to make adobe active in portal.
I got the solution through SAP NOTE 989147.
Thanks a lot for all your help.

Red cross after downloading Flash player?
I'm only getting red crosses when I have finished downloading the Flash player. Have tried to uninstall, downloading again, restarting the PC etc etc. Followed the trouble shoothing guide, but it's still not working. I have windows 7, and using internet explorer. Latest of Java has been installed. What else can I try?
Hi, the first and easiest thing to check is in manage add ons (All add ons) and find Shockwave Flash Object...ActiveX Control...Flash10e.ocx (version 10.0.45.2) Make sure it is listed and Enabled.
You may also want to check your Flash folder to make sure the correct Flash files were installed. Go to C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash. Right click on the Flash folder and post back all of the files listed there.
Thanks,

The image for my new podcast doesnt show up in iTunes
I started a new podcast called Silph Radio A Pokemon Podcast. Everything else worked fine, but the image is not showing up for the podcast. When I first attempted to submit my podcast, I was told my image had to be at least 600x600 pixels and it wasn't big enough, so I fixed the problem and resubmitted. This time it worked. My podcast was approved and appears in the store, but the image is absent. What do I need to do to make my podcasts image appear?

Preview changes RGB values when resizing images
Since I upgraded to snow leopard, preview increases the Red spectrum when resizing images (png). Is this a bug or do I need to change a setting to preserve the original RGB values?
Figured it out. It seems that when you don't specify the BufferedImage that the operation will write too it changes the type to something it uses for the operation. This still seems like it should be a bug to me, but i got around it by doing this:
BufferedImage tempIMG = new BufferedImage((int)(srcImg.getWidth()*scale),(int)(srcImg.getHeight()*scale),srcImg.getType());
op.filter(srcImg, tempIMG);
return tempIMG. -
I tried down loading mozilla firefox to use as a web browser. It was downloaded 100% then when prompted to "run" An error message comes up with a red cross and the message'This file is corrupted" and won't let me proceed. What do I do now?
It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.<br />
You can try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

my bb 9380 won't turn on while the screen shows one battery sign with red cross mark ( not charging sign ), i think the battery drained and switch it for charging but it will show only not charging sign . i bought this phone before 9 months, whats the solution for this ?
Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain directly connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB, not a cradle):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
Remove the battery
Wait 15 minutes
Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully please that "new" and "know good" are not necessarily the same things. While rare, a "new" battery certainly could be defective. Rather, the simplest (and least costly, btw) method to conduct this test is to find someone with an identical BB who has no issues...trade batteries and see what happens.
Good luck and let us know!

The applet fails to load. with 'red cross' screen JVM 1.6.19 and above
After updating the JVM to one of the latest version 1.6 builds, our users started to experience a problem with opening java applets.
All the users have JVM versions 1.6.0_19 – 1.6.0_26 on Windows 7/2008. The browser is IE8. On the server usually there is IIS7, with ‘Integrated Windows authentication’
on applet’s virtual folder. Applet’s classes are packaged into a signed JAR file. Both the client and the server are located in the same local area network with no proxy or firewall between them.
The applet’s website usually belongs to the trusted security zone. When loaded, the applet establishes HTTP connection to the server to get the necessary data.
When the user tries to open an HTML page containing the applet, there can be the following scenarios:
1. The applet fails to load. We’re getting a ‘red cross’ screen. All the HTML elements except of the applet are loaded OK.
From the IIS log we can see that the loading of the JAR file failed with the error code 401, the user name field in the log for the JAR is empty.
2. The java asks for the user name and password showing a popup ‘Authentication required’. At this moment we can see the following message in the Java console:
network: Firewall authentication: site=/XX.XX.XX.XX:XX, protocol=http, prompt=, scheme=ntlm
If the user enters the correct credentials, the applet loads OK. Even if the user checks the ‘Save the password in your password list’ checkbox, Java continues to ask for credentials
on every page reload. It’s worth to note that the company’s external firewall doesn’t get any requests from the applet.
The problems happen even when the client and the server are located on the same machine, but never happens when we use localhost as the server name in the page URL.
During investigations we found out the following workarounds:
1. Enabling anonymous authentication on the virtual folder always solves the problem.
2. Sometimes, changing security zone from ‘Trusted’ to ‘Local intranet’ solves the scenario 2 (‘Authentication required’ popup) problem.
It’s worth to note that changing the security zone never helps if the page URL contains dots (for example, uses IP address instead the server name).
3. Upgrading to IE9 solves the scenario 2 problem partly: Java asks for the credentials only once.I have the same issue. I use single sign-on with IIS 7 and Integrated Window authentication on the tomcat virtual folder. The applet jar file is on the root directory of the web application (the same level of index.html). So I use '.' as the code_base to call the applet from javascript.
So when I launch my web application into a browser, the auto-connection is successfully performed (single sign-on through Upstream, kerberos, remote_user, ...). But when I want to launch the applet in the web application, a new authentication panel (red panel with "authentication required") occurs in order to set credentials (login, password, domain) with the message in the java applet console:
"network: Firewall authentication: site=myApplicationUrl, protocol=http, prompt=, scheme=ntlm"
So why the applet doesn't inherit previous credentials in this case ??
Have you solved this problem ?
Thanks
