  • Ssl web service call problem

    Hi,
    I have a form that calls a web service on start up in the docReady event.
    This has been working well in one of our development environments where the the web service is on a plain non secure connection.
    However, when we try and make the same web service call using ssl instead, the returned values are not populated in the form. If I run the call twice in a row, it works as usual but this is not an acceptable solution.
    The other web services calls on the form all work as expected. It is just this one being called during the docReady event.
    Has anybody else encountered this problem?
    Thanks,
    Luke

    Hi Luke,
    I had a similar problem and the reason was that the SSL certificate on the server was not valid (without any errors or warnings).
    You might want to first try to access the service from a browser and make sure you don't get any security warnings, if you get any security warnings, Adobe won't be able to call that service.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Vikram

  • Client Web Service in Eclipse/JAVA

    Hi All
    I am a beginner in Java.
    I am working on a web service project.
    Which is to be client/server. Thus being the Client in Eciplse environment and coding in JAVA. The Server is in VS.NET web service.
    The client sends a request to the server and the server responds.
    I have created a server based Web Service in VS.NET which is called LoanCalcService and the files that are present are LoanInfo.asmx and Service.vb.
    When i run the server in VS.NET it creates a Web Service document called a WSDL.
    I have parsed the WSDL document through Apache Server in Eclipse platform using the Web Service Client.
    But i understand that i must write about 4 or 5 lines of JAVA code to Call an Instance of the WSDL document to be able to run this in Eclipse to create the Loan Calculator that i have created in VS.NET. I am enquiring to see if anyone can point me in the right direction.
    PS. Sry about the quick entry earlier

    You are a novice to Java and yet you expect to start out writing services?
    Good luck with that*

    We are trying to call a web service and pass as parameter

    Any idea how is it possible to send complex type as web
    service input from flex ?

    Hi,
    I also have similar type of problem where I need to invoke a Web service with Complex input parameters.
    I followed Susan's blog but I stuck at a point where methos getItem is created.
    Can anyone tell me how to get that method for my requirement.
    If possible can you guys share your solutions here.
    Thanks in advance.

           Is it possible to call a web service from inside a java UDF in message mapping? The webservice can be any standard one. If this is possible please let me know how this can be done.

    May be wrong, but I don't think the WebService
    <request> tag can accept nested parameters, such as what
    you're doing with <parameter4>. Each element name in the xml
    pair must match a parameter name in the Web Service WSDL. I think
    Flex would just ignore <parameter4> and not send it.

  • Web Service call problem "MalformedURIException: no scheme"

    Hi,
    i've a problem with a WebService call.
    The flow is ThirdParty>PI>Sap Ecc
    I have a WebService exposed by PI and a WebService exposed by Sap Ecc.
    The flow was tested and it's ok in the Dev and Qas Enviroment, after the transport in the Production enviroment start the problem. When i try to call the PI WebService (with SoapUI) i receive this error message
    <SOAP:Fault>
             <faultcode>SOAP:Server</faultcode>
             <faultstring>Server Error</faultstring>
             <detail>
                <s:SystemError xmlns:s="http://sap.com/xi/WebService/xi2.0">

    The request message is the same of QAS so it's correct. The transport was done without any error. I notice that the BusinessSystem of the ThirdParty does't have any inbound/outbound interface in the receiver/sender tab in the Integration Directory (differently to Dev and Qas). I try severl time to delete and re-import the BusinessSyetm, clearing SLD cache, without anty result.
    Any suggestion?
    Thank's!

    Hi,
    >ThirdParty does't have any inbound/outbound interface in the receiver/sender tab in the Integration Directory
    if your talking about
    this step:
    Set the default values for the following parameters:
    ●      Interface Namespace
    ●      Interface Name
    from http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/fc/5ad93f130f9215e10000000a155106/content.htm
    then you need to set those manually as communication channel data
    does not get imported into PRD - you need to put the
    same values as on QAS into those fields

    The code dies when it hits the while(). What's wrong? Didn't I open the stream when I declared 'in'? Thanks a heap to anyone willing to share a clue!!!

    I'm using a sample code that I found here about calling external web services from a Java Store Procedure ( Credit Agency Web Service http://www.oracle.com/technology/sample_code/tech/java/jsp/samples/wsclient/Readme.html ) but when I run it ,send this error. I dont know what can I do or what is missing. Please help me. Thanks.

  • Problem in passing/returning objects over dynamic web service call

    Hi Friends,
    I am beginner in java web service.
    Here is the problem I am facing when I pass/return user defined objects to remote web service method using dynamic we service call.
    The client can call the remote web service method in 2 ways.
    1. By generating client stubs using WSDL file
    - In this case, I am able to pass/return the user defined objects to remote method without any issue only when the server side web services are deployed in any server(jboss)
    - But in java 1.6 & above, the web services can be deployed without server using endpoint. In this case, I am not able to pass/return objects over web service calls.
    2. Without generating client stubs (dynamic web service call)
    - This will establish a connection at run time using the given WSDL file (I have attached the document). I have to form an XML(This will contain API name, arguments) string as input at run time
    - In this case, it allows only string as argument while passing & returning.
    Please let me know if you can help me on this.
    Regards,
    pani

  • Invoking a AXIS Web Service with a Java object as input argument

    Hi
    I've been trying to execute a bpel process that invokes a web service deployed through axis.
    This web service takes a java object as input argument as opposed to data types that are directly mapped to java types through the SOAP engine.
    I deployed and tested the service outside of BPEL using a test client class. Everything works well.
    When I try to configure the "Assign" and "Invoke" activities so that service can be invoked, I cannot see the data structure through the variable picker and I see the following message:
    "The element {urn:ComplexTypeWebService}TimeSheetBean is not know to the schema container. Perhaps a schema file that uses it needs to include or import its definition.There mat also be an XML schema issue (non resolvable schema) which prevents {urn:ComplexTypeWebService}TimeSheetBean from being seen by the schema processor."
    Is there any example that demonstrates how to invoke an axis web service in such scenario? What am I doing wrong?
    Please, let me know.

    The passing of Java objects in and out of a web service is NOT supported. variables must be xml documents defined by a XML schema. In my opinion, missing Java object and WSDL is not a good idea. -Edwin

  • XI 3.0 and external Java client/web service

    Hello,
    I'm desperately tryin' to get an external system to work together with XI 3.0.
    The setup is quite simple:
    The external system is nothing but a simple Java program sending SOAP-based requests to a webservice. It is based on AXIS and is running satisfyingly when connecting directly to an appropriate Tomcat/AXIS-based web service, see the following communication.
    -- local request
    POST /axis/VAPService.jws HTTP/1.0
    Content-Type: text/xml; charset=utf-8
    Accept: application/soap+xml, application/dime, multipart/related, text/*
    User-Agent: Axis/1.1
    Host: 192.168.1.2:8080
    Cache-Control: no-cache
    Pragma: no-cache
    SOAPAction: "http://localhost/SOAPRequest"
    Content-Length: 422
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
    <soapenv:Body>
      <SOAPRequest soapenv:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">
       <SOAPDataIn xsi:type="xsd:string">890000001</SOAPDataIn>
      </SOAPRequest>
    </soapenv:Body>
    </soapenv:Envelope>
    -- local response
    HTTP/1.1 200 OK
    Set-Cookie: JSESSIONID=DFD7A00A244C18A058FCB52A8321A167; Path=/axis
    Content-Type: text/xml;charset=utf-8
    Date: Mon, 23 Aug 2004 06:52:47 GMT

    Now I have designed and configured simple business scenarios with XI 3.0 (synchronous as well as asynchronous). The only response I get from XI when the Java client connects ist the following:

    I made sure the business service in the integration directory is named SOAPRequest and is using SOAP as the communication channel. As the adapter engine I chose the integration server, since it is the only option, although the SOAP adapter framework is installed (according to the SLD) and deactivated any options like header and attachment.
    Upon facing the above response I also tried any kind of derivative with inserting the described tag/attribute/element versionMajor, but to no avail.
    My questions are:
    What do I have to do additionally to get the whole thing running, i.e. configure my external systems in the SLD, providing proxy settings?
    Do I have to create web services within the Web AS (which provide some kind of facade to the XI engine using the proxy generation) and connect to these instead of directly addressing the integration engine (I'm using the URL http://<host>:<port>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry, but I also tried http://<host>:<port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:SOAPRequest:SOAPIn, this led to a 404 not found error)?
    What settings do I have to provide to see the messages the client is sending, when looking into the runtime workbench it seems as if there are no messages at all - at least from my client?
    Hopefully somebody might help me out or least provide some information to get me going.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    T.Hrastnik

    Hello Oliver,
    all information I gathered so far derives from the online help for XI 3.0, to be found under http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/14/80243b4a66ae0ce10000000a11402f/frameset.htm. There You'll find - in the last quarter of the navigation bar on the left side - sections describing the adapter engine alonside the SOAP adapter.
    Additionally I went through almost all postings in this forum.
    This alonside the mandatory trial-and-error approach (I did a lot of it up to date) led me to my current status, i.e. so far I haven't found any kind of (simple) tutorial or demo saying "If You want to establish a web service based connection via SOAP between external applications and XI first do this, then that ...", sadly enough :-(.
    Hope that helps, any questions are always welcome, I'll try my best to answer them ;-).
    Best regards,
    Tomaz
