Azure - Billing Alert Service [Preview Feature]

I have 3 azure accounts, two with 3 subscriptions and one with 25+. I've signed up explicitly for each subscription, yet have no way of actually viewing/setting up the feature from the Azure Management Portal. Has anyone had success with this feature? Ticket
opened to Microsoft was closed as they do not support Preview Features and instead tell us to ask the community (MSDN or stackoverflow).
The documentation page shows that a button/link should show titled 'ALERTS PREVIEW' on the billing page for a subscription, yet for all of my subscriptions I do not have the 'ALERTS PREVIEW' option next to 'Overview' and 'Billing History'.

Hi,
Please check this:
1. Enabling the Billing Alert Service is easy from the Microsoft Azure Account Portal, login with the account used to control your subscription.
From here, select the Preview Features link in the top navigation to access a list of features which are available for you to access in preview.
2. Scrolling through the list, somewhere near the bottom of the list, you will find the Billing Alert Service. Hit the Try It Now button to activate the feature.
3. Once you’ve selected the button, you will be prompted for which subscription to activate the feature. If you have more than one subscription, select the appropriate one and click the Tick button to complete the operation.
4. Once activated, you will see the status of the feature reported below the Try It Now button as You Are Active.
Once the feature is activated, you will see the alert button and then you can configure alerts, here is the link:

  • Contained Database Users are now available in Azure SQL Database Update preview

Contained Database Users should be of particular help for people migrating to Azure SQL Database. At the moment, this is a preview release but you can start testing. Here is the announcement of the
preview with links to more information.
New SQL Database public preview with new Standard-tier performance level
Previously announced in November 2014 and now available for customers to try, the
    new
public preview of SQL Database improves the compatibility of SQL Server applications for Azure SQL Database. Details of this preview are available on the
    SQL
Database documentation webpage, including the following key enhancements: easier management of large databases to support heavier workloads with parallel queries
and online indexing, support for programmability functions like CLR and XML index to support more robust application design, improved monitoring and troubleshooting with XEvents and 100 new Dynamic Management Views (DMV), and more performance in the Premium
    tier.
To try this preview, please sign up via the Preview
features webpage. Only SQL Database servers with a mix of one or more Basic, Standard, or Premium (not Web or Business) databases are compatible and eligible to
upgrade to the preview. Please note that any move of an existing Basic, Standard, or Premium database into this preview is irreversible; we recommend that you create a database copy or leverage test databases on any server enrolled in this preview.
A new Standard-tier performance level, S3, is also available in this preview which gives you more pricing flexibility between Standard and Premium. S3 will deliver 100 Database Throughput Units (DTU) and all the features available in the Standard tier. Please
note that S3 will appear on your bill as a multiple of S2 until further notice.
For more information, please visit the SQL
    Database webpage and the
    Microsoft
Azure Blog. For a comprehensive look at pricing, please visit the
    SQL
    Database pricing webpage.

  • You do not have any active subscriptions on which preview features can be enabled.

I can't configure a shared storage to my azure VMs, I follow this and it seems the problem my account is not activated as this message displayed in the Preview Features in my account:
You do not have any active subscriptions on which preview features can be enabled.

    Hi,
Please try to enable the preview features then try again, refer to this article about how to enable preview features:
http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/php-create-account/ , or have a look at this video:

    From that article:
Belfiore did officially acknowledge some of the coming Windows 10 under-the-cover features that were disclosed early in a Microsoft blog post which was later pulled —such as the fact
a Microsoft Account won't be required for login (users will be able to use Azure Active Directory for single sign-on instead).
Is there seriously any possibility that a true local account won't be possible?
That's "last straw" material.  Microsoft needs to be careful.

  • SharePoint Provider Hosted App (401) Unauthorized Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException: The Azure Access Control service is unavailable

    Hello,
I'm attempting to get a SharePoint 2013 Provider Hosted Application working in a brand new SharePoint environment.  I've created snapshots of both my dev and the sharepoint environments along the way and have meticulously documented every step of the
way.  I've followed these instructions (among many other resources found along this journey) :
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/fp179923(office.15).aspx
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/fp161236(office.15).aspx
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/office/fp179901%28v=office.15%29
Upon package and publish of my application to SharePoint, I get a 401 Unauthorized error.  I use Fiddler to obtain the SPErrorCorrelationID to ultimately obtain the following ULS Viewer Output.  Please explain how to fix if you're able.
Please Note:  I was under the impression that a Provider Hosted Application does not use the Azure Access Control service, so I'm confused as to why my system is attempting to make this connection?
Also Note:  I've used a self signed and godday obtained certificate to successfully f5 debug my basic web.title (out of the visual studio 2012 box) sharepoint provider hosted application... so I know my certs are good.

    With Respect,

Yes, actually - I was able to resolve it.
However I don't know how, unfortunately.  I suspect it was because I needed to have the names of the certificates, defined during the certificate registration (to sharepoint) process, different.
I have a complete document that shows step by step instructions on the exact process I took to complete the provider hosted application creation, deployment and publishing.  It was a daunting task, but I finished it successfully.
If there's a way to send private message on this forum, please do so and I'll respond with a way to obtain my document.
NOTE:  I'm not all impressed with the way this forum works.  This is supposed to be a Microsoft resource and I'll be damned if I ever get a response to highly technical questions.  Completely lame.  Boooooo Microsoft.

  • Links (urls) inside a pdf document are not enabled by the New firefox pdf preview feature but are in Chrome & IE

The new pdf preview feature in firefox desktop does NOT seem to activate any links (urls) inside the pdf meaning they are no longer clickable.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem.
I send out product information using pdf's with clickable links inside (as do lots of businesses) and this loss of clickable links functionality is a problem.
I also tried the same pdf files in IE and Chrome and their inline pdf previews keep all links fully working.
I know the pdf preview in firefox can be deactivated and the adobe reader can be used instead but in reality lots of people won't know how to do this or won't be troubled to find out how and will just move on.
Does anyone know if this feature is going to be fixed or supported or is it a deliberate security feature.
    Thanks.
    JP.

    Hey JPEdwards,
The PDF.js team is still hard at work on the built-in viewer. It looks like there is already a bug on file for this and they are aware of it:
    https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=821599
Please don't post in the bug if you are just confirming that you've seen the problem too. That clutters the tickets ;)

  • Reporting services integration feature not available in 2010 experience mode site collection.

I have a 2013 SP farm with SQL reporting services 2012 configured. When I create a site collection using the 2010 experience mode, I don't see the "Reporting Services Integration" feature under site collection features. However this feature is
available when I create a site collection in 2013 experience mode. Is there a way I can activate the "Reporting Services integration" feature in a site created in 2010 experience mode? I am not able to activate the feature on a 2010 experience mode
    site collection using PowerShell either.

    Hi,
From your description, When you create a site collection using the 2010 experience mode, the "Reporting Services Integration" feature is missed. However this feature is available when you create a site collection in 2013 experience mode.
For your issue, whether your 2010 experience mode site collection is in the same web application with the 2013 mode site collection. if not,  make sure the web application which contains the 2010 site collecction have been
    enabled ssrs service,
Go to CA->Application Management->Manage web applications-Choose the web application->Click Service Connections->Check SSRS, refer to the screenshot:
Besides, I suggest you create a new 2010 mode site collection with the same tempalte and the same web application with 2013 mode site collection, compare the results.
Also you can upgrade you 2010 mode site collection to the 2013 mode and compare the results.
    Hope it helps.

I got a text saying that I don't pay my bill, my service is going to get cut off by the end of the day. I don't have the funds to pay it in full, so I paid half the amount. Would that suffice? Or would I have to pay it in its entirety to save my service from being cut off?

As it was pointed out making prior arrangements could of helped extend the time you need to get your account back in order..
But if you have to have the phone and its the only thing you have to make calls, I would try other means ( Family, Friends, or other )  to get the rest of the balance payed and you can pay at a Corporate store using the stores Kiosk machine.!   You can pay with Cash, Credit or I think with a  check  but using a check I'd ask the Local store how the policy is on that..
    Hope that Helps.!  Good luck..

Hi I have a form on my Joomla site (see image under for viewers to upload and send me their videos, images and info.
    Question:
1.Instead of receiving this form content via email,  I just need a
HTML and/or PHP code with tags code so I can send the content viewers give me (videos with up to 500MB) directly into my existing Azure blob.
Seems I can also direct the form to a any database... They gave me this code sample but it was for AWS
    https://www.chronoengine.com/faqs/63-cfv4/cfv4-working-with-form-data/5196-can-i-save-files-to-aws.html
Therefore they suggested me to reach out to Azure devs.
I don't code so please show me the exact code HTML and/or PHP code to connect my "pre-built forms" with Azure Storage/Media services.

  • How to create an Alert Service using Oracle9i wireless?

    Hi All,
I wanted to create an alert based service on oracle9i...but i am unable to figure out from where should i start doing..i am under basic confusion of how this whole system actually works..how to configure my service..can any body suggest me...
    thanks in advance
    krishna

You can use the web enabled portal of ASWE. This can be found in one of the folders:
    oracle home/panama/server/portal/Login.jsp
    oracle home/panama/server/papz/
please add an alias to your apache webserver so that you can run the Login file. Once your are logged in you can add alert addresses and alerts.
Be aware that you need to configure an sms server if you would like to create alert services for mobiles. You can also add an email adress.
    Good luck

  • Billing for service orders

I need to be able to bill for some of the service orders as a requirement of my client.
Has anyone done the config in SD for this before?
If I do not want to use SD is there another option to use?
Any help would be great and will award points.
    Thanks,
    AD

    Hi AD
There are two options provided by SAP for billing custmer service
    1. One way I earlier explained is by creating Sales Order .In this u can create service order automatically & Bill the Custmer
    2. Second way is to use DP90 in which u have to create a billing request which can be used for RRB(Resource Related Billing) using DIP profile
So in summary it can be processes with Sales /Service Order as per your need
