Background clones locked?

I'm playing around with running parallel reentrant loops in order to solve a larger problem. I've run Popup.vi and Popupmain.vi and I understand how they work. The difference with mine is I have to pass a different value to the front panel of each clone. I got that part working as well. The problem I'm running into is that after it opens the number of clones (4 or so), only the top level clone can be interacted with. The background clones cannot be moved, minimized, closed, or even hit the stop button. When I try to change focus to any other cloned VI i get the windows error beep.
Any help would be appreciated. I need to be able to independently move individual windows to see their front panels and hit each stop button at any point in time.
How to repeat my problem:
Run Launcher.vi (make sure Counter.vi is in the same directory)
Increment Number of counters to something greater than 3 (I use 4)
Enter random values less than 100 in each spot in the Starting Values array (or leave them 0)
It should open <number of counters> clones of Counter.vi which will individually count to 100 then stop.
Try to hit the stop button on background clones or move the other windows. I am unable to.

Your subVIs are set to "dialog", thus they are modal. Change that setting.

Background Layers Locked on all Images

All of my images are coming up with background layers locked. This was not a conscious setting on my part. How do I unlock them?

You should be able to use the Clone Stamp Tool even on a locked background layer.
You're either doing something wrong you're not telling us, or you need to trash your Photoshop preferences.
To re-create the preferences files for Photoshop, start the application while holding down Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"
Next time, please give details on your version of Photoshop and the OS. Also "use of the clone stamp tool will not change anything" is not nearly descriptive enough for us to figure out what you're doing or what is happening.

How to 'Select All Layers' when background is locked?

I've just tried to Select > All Layers and was very surprised when the Background, a locked layer, was not included in the selection. Is it possible to select all layers, included the background?

This could be a tricky one and needs some explanation. I have about 1600 images to process. I would prefer to do so from within InDesign, to which the images are linked. I want to apply Smart Filters to all the images. That's only a part of the story, but it will do for the moment.
Method 1 and Why it Won't Work
I could apply a Smart Filter by choosing a certain image in InDesign; selecting Edit Original and the image opens in PS. Then I was hoping to use Select All Layers and apply a Smart Filter. But... Select All Layers doesn't select all layers, and you can't apply a Smart Filter unless all layers are selected.
Method 2 and Why it Won't Work
I could open the images within PS by using Open as Smart Object, which DOES select all the layers and allows you to apply a Smart Filter. But for a very good reason (I can explain the reason, but it would take a few more paragraphs), I want to open the images from within InDesign. So, method 2 is unsuitable.
Method 3 and Why it Won't Work
I could batch all the images using an Action to unlock the Background. But, not all my 1600 images have a background. Some have ordinary unlocked layers, some have text layers. I could set up an Action to unlock Background layers (double-click, followed by a Return to name the layer "layer 0"), but if the Action came across a text layer on the bottom -- big problem. For a text layer, double-click followed by a Return does nothing. I'd have one locked-up Action.
Method 4 - A script working from within InDesign could open the images as Smart Objects -- but I'm not a script man.
Seems a bit silly that Select All Layers doesn't allow me to select all layers.

Background Workitem locked

Hello my friends:
I have a problem with a background workitem. It has been locked since 2 months by WF-BATCH user. I have executed the method from SWO1 using the same object key and it is working fine. Also I tryed from SWI1 with the option Edit -> Workitem -> Execute background workitem, but the system sends this message: WO(538) "Function cannot be executed on work item...".
I look for this workitem in SM12 and SM04 but it doesn't appear there. System doesn't recognize locks by WF-BATCH user.
This happens in Production.
Do you know something else to do?

hi,
it would not lock if it's authorization issue. instead it will complete and desired result will not be achived.
Is it happening with every instance of background activity? Possibly yes a dialog activity might be involved.
Try completing it manually from SWIA. also check for SM58 (enter WF-batch for user in selection screen) and complete the LUW manually.
alwo try SAP_WAPI_Workflow_resume or resume_workflow. pass the instance id of workflow (not workitem)

Submitting job in background with lock mechanism

I'm obtaining a lock before submitting the job and releasing it after submitting...as explained below
I want to know whether the lock will get released immediately after submitting the job or it will be released only after the finish of the job. Can you explain with any documentation if possible...

If you are locking any database table object then the lock will be removed only after the call function 'DEQUEUE_EXXXXX".

Locked background layer

When I open a photo in the editor, the background layer is locked with a transparent pixels locked lock, instead of the all pixels locked lock. How do I change
it back to the default?

There are 3 types of lock in the PSE
1)Background layer Lock.
2)Transparent Pixel layer lock.
3)Lock all Pixel
Background layer lock - This lock prevents to change layer to a normal layer which can contain both transparent and colored pixel.
Transparent pixel lock - This lock prevents to edit (like apply brush ) on transprent pixel .
Lock all pixels- for both trasnparent and colored pixels.
Background layer lock always depicts by tranparent pixel lock from previous versions to E11. just see the snapshots -

How to block the desktop picture /background from changing?

Since I have the Magic Mouse, some time my background changes the desktop photo
It happens when I move a photo in iPhoto or even when I move it on the desktop: I guess it happens
with the combination of the mouse and my movements with the fingers on the mouse itself
Never happened before. Every system preferences has a lock but the desktop.
Any good idea would be much appreciated : )

as you say there is no lock in that preference pane. you can do the following. set the desktop background as you want. in finder go to home directory/library/preferences. select the file com.apple.desktop.plist and enter command+i. in the resulting popup check the box "locked". this file contains preferences for desktop background and locking it will prevent any changes to the desktop background until you unlock it.

How to change my background?

I want to change my background and can't find it anywhere. Not the wallpaper, I found that one.
I have been using the iphone since inception but I have never tried to change the background. I was looking at the new ios 4 pictures and thought it would be cool to change it, but I don't know how. I didn't download the update today.

Unless you are using 3GS you won't be able change the background. If you have a 3GS you can go to "Settings >> Wallpaper" and change your background and lock-screen images.

I had recently tried to change the background of the lockscreen and it did not show the selected image as lockscreen background while charging, but earlier the image iused to keep as lockscreen background used to be always present even while charging???

is it normal for the iphone to act like this ???

Firstly I thank you very much ckuan to take out time and answer my question. But I seem to have tried all the three things but in my case the phone doesn't show background of lock screen in two out of three instances that you have pointed out. First being it shown to me while charging if I press the home key, but if I press home key once during charging it still appears dark and battery and I suppose date and time shown.
Secondly the one at silent mode also doesn't work in my phone.

Unlocking Background layer

I am making a collage of pictures and realized I had added a number of pictures directly onto the background without creating separate layers. When I wanted to move some of them, I couldn't because the background is locked.Is there a way to unlock the background so I don't have to redo it?Abbey

To unlock the Background layer, simply double-click it and rename it to something other than "Background". The default name "Layer 0" is sufficient.
But I'm a bit confused. You say you already added some items to the background? Since these are not layers I'm guessing they are permanent and unlocking the Background won't buy you anything.
I find it good practice to first duplicate the Background layer, turn off it's visibility, and start working from the duplicate layer. This way the orignal will still be there in an emergency.

You may not get the sufficient information from SM21. Try ti check the RFC trace it might help you a bit. Other possible solution is you need to check manually the RFC connection which is maintaining this users and maintain the correct password
Previously we had the same scenario RFC user getting locked due to incorrect password maintained.( after investigated so much we created the Newuser for this RFC and maintained the password)

Why does a picture used for background "zoom" when applied

It frusterates me to no end when you tak a picture and apply it to your background or lock screen and its zooms on it !!! not portraing the actual pic size ~!!!
Android did this as well " samsung galaxy III" I HATE IT !!!!!!!
I heard it was a bug and would be fixed !!
Any word on it?? or know why it happens....iOS6 does not do this !! only iOS7

Cinnamon background changer will not load background images

Since about yesterday (when I did a pacman -Syu), the cinnamon background changer refuses to load any images to change the background to. When I run cinnamon-settings from a terminal and select backgrounds, the following occurs:

Job to lock users in APO?

Hi All,
We're having some locking issues with batch jobs in DP (using macros) because users occasionally have CVCs locked when the jobs are running. We have looked into additional data views for job scheduling using the key figure lock setting on the planning area - also running jobs during the night etc, yet we still have issues..
Is anyone aware of a job / program that can be run in the background to lock all business users (e.g. by a Role) prior to the standard batch jobs running, then run afterwards to unlock? - or any other suggestions?

Hi Lim,
we have the same functionality implemented in which we lock the planning area before running the batch jobs specifically the release jobs and then unlock it after for user community.
We have created a Z program with selection fields for planning area and required planning area to be locked can be maintained in run in batch mode.
you can use the function 'ENQUE_DELETE' to achieve the same for deleting the user entries.
