1. I created Background Image for Text Box .
2. I gave Code in HTML CELL ATTRIBUTES
as below
&lt;span style="width:533px; height:59px;background-image:url('/i/images/mypicture.png');"></span>
APEX generates the <tt>span</tt> element for report cell contents when HTML Cell Attributes are specified. Remove them from your code:style="width: 533px; height: 59px; background-image: url(/i/images/mypicture.png);"
Also, quotes are unneccessary in CSS URLs.
3. PRE ELEMENT TEXT i gave the below code
<span style="padding:120px;"></span>
This is applying padding to an empty <tt>span</tt>. The property is better applied somewhere else. What exactly are you trying to achieve here?
Images are showing but getting the below code on images how to suppress the below code
colspan="1" rowspan ="1" align="right valign ='middle'
The main cause of this is probably the unnecessary <tt>span</tt> in (2) above, but <tt>align="right valign ='middle'</tt> is a syntax error. Where is this coming from? The <tt>align="right"</tt> needs a terminating double quote.

  • Only background image showing up when using DVI - RVA

    I'm trying to connect my macbook pro to my TV...I'm using the yellow RVA video cable... When I connect the cables my background image will show up on the TV, but none of my icons will. The image just stays there no matter what I open up on the screen.
    Andy suggestions?

    Are you using 'Extended Desktop' (sounds like you are) or 'Mirroring' (in which case the same image should show on both screens) ?

  • When viewing some websites my desktop background image shows as the page background...why...and how do I fix this?

    It seems that the current version of Firefox does not understand how to process style sheets. Instead of the stylesheet background color or image, I am now seeing my PC's desktop background image. This does not happen with IE or Chrome. When checking the error console, I get "Warning: Unknown property 'zoom'. Declaration dropped. Source File: http://trustserve.net/themes/ModernBlue/templates_cached/EN/global.css Line: 4"
    I am not trying to zoom.
    Any ideas on how to fix this. I can't use Firefox with these problems and I really liked it prior to these problems.

    I thought I had it disabled. I enabled aero and then disabled to be sure, and still have the problem, but that was a very good idea. Thanks.
    The problem started shortly after I installed two new programs, a graphics program, and an anti-virus. I just removed both programs and restarted the computer and that seems to have solved the problem. Your idea about Aero gave me the idea that one, or both of these programs changed some of my system settings. I am now going to install them, one at a time, and see if the transparency problem returns. I'll post my findings.

  • Page background images show in preview but not after uploading

    Hi -
    I've built a page with a flash animation, and some other
    minimal information below the movie. I have a page background image
    that should be repeating horizontally behind everything. When I
    preview it, all looks great! After I upload it to the actual site
    the background images disappear. The code is all within the page.
    Any ideas?

    never mind... problem resolved.

  • Why doesn't a body tag background image show up in a browser?

    I've set a gif image to repeat as a background in my body tag and I can't get it to preview in a browser. I see the background fine when doing a live view in DW. I've tryed other images and none will preview in a browser. I've tryed to trouble shoot everything I can think of why this is not working and at this point I'm dumb-founded. Any help here would be most appreciated, I'm swamped with work and I really need to get this file off for client approval. Thanks in advance for any response - Vanessa

  • Background image aligning

    Hi,
    I'm making a website with a background consisting of 3
    seperate images, nest to eachother in a table with 3 columns.. The
    middle column contains the content of the site and should always
    stay in the middle of the window while the columns on the sides
    stretch till the borders of the window.
    The background images add up to one picture, starting in the
    middle and spreading sideways left and right.
    I have a problem with the left background image, this one
    should start disappearing from the left to the middle as I resize
    the window, but I can't make this work, the image disappears
    between column 1 and column 2..
    I don't know if this explaination is clear,
    if anyone can help me, please let me know
    kind regards,

    Your page throws two javascript errors when it loads.
    1. The first is listed as line 2, but there is no obvious
    error there, so
    I'm not quite sure of its source.
    2. The second is listed as line 93 -
    <td width="380" rowspan="2" align="right"
    valign="middle"><script
    type="text/javascript">
    AC_FL_RunContent( 'codebase',....
    which means that you put a Flash element on your page, but
    did not upload
    the associated javascript file -
    <script src="Scripts/AC_RunActiveContent.js"
    type="text/javascript"></script>
    Make sure you upload that Scripts folder too.
    Your use of spaces in your file/pathnames is a serious error
    onderdelen pics/homepage/knoppen home/home transport
    rollover.jpg
    Many browsers will see those spaces and think that they have
    come to the end
    of the path/filename. Never use any punctuation other than
    underscores or
    hyphens in your file/pathnames. This usage is making it
    difficult for me to
    debug the page - I don't suppose you could fix that first?

  • Cell background image problem

    Please tell me exactly how to add only one background gif to
    a cell. I have
    told it "no repeat" but it does just that. See:

    Thank you so very much! Please watch this thread, I'll
    probably need a bit
    more help. I have 3-4 images I need to use this way, as table
    or cell
    backgrounds. Will I have
    #cellBg2 and 3 and 4?

    /* HACK FOR IE: to make sure the sub menus show above form controls, we underlay each submenu with an iframe */
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal iframe
    position: absolute;
    z-index: 1010;
    filter:alpha(opacity:0.1);
    /* HACK FOR IE: to stabilize appearance of menu items; the slash in float is to keep IE 5.0 from parsing */
    @media screen, projection
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal li.MenuBarItemIE
    display: inline;
    f\loat: left;
    background: #FFF;

    Because I can't see your site and code in context, I will make a guess that this style is throwing off your alignment:
    /* Menu item containers, position children relative to this container and are a fixed width */
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal li
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    list-style-type: none;
    font-size: 100%;
    position: relative;
    text-align: center;
    cursor: pointer;
    width: 160px;
    float: left;
    background-image: url(file:///E|/MAIN_website/images/menu_background.jpg);
    Remove the text-align:center; from the above style.
    Instead of centering your list element (li), center the link text (a) itself:
    /* Menu items are a light gray block with padding and no text decoration */
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal a
    display: block;
    cursor: pointer;
    padding: 0.5em 0.75em;
    color: #FFF;
    text-align: center;
    text-decoration: none;
    font-family: Cambria, Arial, sans-serif;
    font-size: 14px;
    If you don't want the submenu text to be centered, do this immediately after the previous style:
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal ul a {text-align: left;}
    The sub-submenus are also set up by default to be jogged a bit to the right. You can adjust this style:
    /* Submenus should appear slightly overlapping to the right (95%) and up (-5%) */
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal ul ul
    position: absolute;
    margin: -5% 0 0 95%;
    that causes sub-submenus to fly out to the right of the submenus to which they attach.
    Submenus themselves (not the sub-submenus) should fall directly under the top menu item by default, once you remove the text-align: center; on the li item (above).

  • Problems with the background image in IE

    Hi I've been optimizing some pages for the different browsers in Dreamweaver CS4. They all work fine in Safari, Firefox and Opera, Internet Explorer is, however not showing the background image I have selected. I can't for the life of me see what's going wrong! Any help wopuld be appreciated. here is the code on my index page which I built from a template. I don't know if it's the editable areas that are going wrong!

    Hi
    The fact you are using a Mac is why both myself and JCellini assumed you where using a pre IE7 version.
    But the code you are using to test in IE will cause a problem with any 'virtual machine' such as crossover, because it cannot reference anything outside its own assigned section of the drive, and referencing the png in the way you are would be for it an invalid reference, it also would not work in any browser when you uploaded the site.
    Change - background-image:url(file:///Macintosh  HD/Users/myname/Documents/websites/test/Test/images/test_back.png);
    To - background-image:url(images/test_back.png);
    But if the region is not editable I would suggest you temporarily make it so, externalize your css to a css file, insert a link to the external css file in your head content, then lock the region once again. This way you will always be able to edit your css without worrying about 'locked regions'.

  • Background image not displaying

    I'm developing pages that will each have a different background image. i've defined a div with the bg image in it and put that div in the code, but the bg image doesn't show up. i've also tried adding a bg color to the div and that doesn't show up either, so i'm sure it's not a path or file name issue. css & code below.

    Your document type doesn't match your HTML closing tags.  Modify > Page properties > Encoding > choose either HTML or XHTML (transitional) and hit Apply.
    Images require an alt attribute for better web accessibility. If you want to skip this for now and add them later, that's OK.
    but your code won't validate until you add them to each image.
    When you've fixed the code errors, repbulish the page and see if that fixes the problem.

  • Background Image In Table Cell

    I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or missing here. This is the first time that I'm using an image as a background. I've made a table with a 100% width with 3 colums and 3 rows. The left and right table cells have been merged and the 3 middle rows are at a width of 938 pixels. I have cropped the images correctly. The right column lines up perfectly, but the left column does not line up like it's supposed to with the image. You can take a look at it by going to http://www.wattsconcepts.com/new
    Here is the code below if anyone wants to take a look at it. Any help in solving this is greatly appreciated. I am using Dreamweaver CS5.5
    Thank you for your time!
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
    <title>Watts Concepts - Kentucky Web Design - Harrodsburg, Kentucky</title>
    <style type="text/css">
    body {
              margin-left: 0px;
              margin-top: 0px;
              margin-right: 0px;
              margin-bottom: 0px;
              background-color: #000;
              background-image: url();
    </style>
    </head>
    <body>
    <table width="100%" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
      <tr>
        <td rowspan="3" align="left" valign="top" background="images/left-index.jpg"> </td>
        <td width="938" align="center" valign="top"><img src="images/logo-index.jpg" width="938" height="172" /></td>
        <td rowspan="3" align="left" valign="top" background="images/right-index.jpg"> </td>
      </tr>
      <tr>
        <td align="center" valign="top"><img src="images/eye-index.jpg" width="938" height="296" alt="Reach Your Audience Today" /></td>
      </tr>
      <tr>
        <td align="center" valign="top"><img src="images/test-index.jpg" width="938" height="197" /></td>
      </tr>
    </table>
    </body>
    </html>

    Your HTML code should ideally be as follows:
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
    <title>Watts Concepts - Kentucky Web Design - Harrodsburg, Kentucky</title>
    <style type="text/css">
    body {
    margin-left: 0px;
    margin-top: 0px;
    margin-right: 0px;
    margin-bottom: 0px;
    background-color: #000;
    </style>
    </head>
    <body>
    <table width="938px" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
      <tr>
        <td width="938" align="center" valign="top"><img src="images/logo-index.jpg" width="938" height="172" /></td>
      </tr>
      <tr>
        <td align="center" valign="top"><img src="images/eye-index.jpg" width="938" height="296" alt="Reach Your Audience Today" /></td>
      </tr>
      <tr>
        <td align="center" valign="top"><img src="images/test-index.jpg" width="938" height="197" /></td>
      </tr>
    </table>
    </body>
    </html>
    Also, you don't need 3 columns for this website. 1 column and 3 rows should do. Also, never use 100% for <table> width. It's bad practice as you're making your site fluid which will render your site to malfunction on some browsers
    And you had the entire 3 sections as 1 image as your CSS body background-image. This is bad practice. Crop only what you want for each section, never give the entire merged site as 1 image.
    Try the code I've given you above and it should work perfect.
    A quick tip: Try learning and using DIV with pure CSS styling instead of tables. Tables are a thing of the past. You could just google it and you have tons of free resources on how to create a site using DIV. Also, there's a beautiful tutorial posted by one of our senior members here: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/dw_html5_pt2.html that explains how to create HTML5 site with Pure CSS styling using DIV tags.
    Cheers,
    ST

  • Template loses background image from body

    When I open a self created template page (all regions editable) I lose the background image from body. Everything else loads fine.
    First time I'm trying the template option.

    I made a change to the root folder today when I noticed DK2011 was caps and possibly not prooper protocol so I created a new folder which was captured in previous post now known as dksite.
    Here is another pic with my root folder and you can see templates and images open with the background image showing which is the_voice_mansiongood.jpg.
    The background image comes up in the dkmainpage tempate but does not show in a new page created from the parent template.
    Here's the code from dkmainpage template (parent) below.
    I fear I'm making things insanely confusing.
    Here's code to parent template dkmainpage template.
