Template loses background image from body

When I open a self created template page (all regions editable) I lose the background image from body. Everything else loads fine.
First time I'm trying the template option.

I made a change to the root folder today when I noticed DK2011 was caps and possibly not prooper protocol so I created a new folder which was captured in previous post now known as dksite.
Here is another pic with my root folder and you can see templates and images open with the background image showing which is the_voice_mansiongood.jpg.
The background image comes up in the dkmainpage tempate but does not show in a new page created from the parent template.
Here's the code from dkmainpage template (parent) below.
I fear I'm making things insanely confusing.
Here's code to parent template dkmainpage template.

    So is there a way (an easy way) to stop browser background image from scrolling with the page?

    If it's a single image, add this code to center the page horizontally:
    parent.document.body.style.backgroundPosition='50% 0%';

  • Background image from one slide appearing in all slides after and I can't remove it

    Hello,
    I'm modifying a course created with Captivate 5, in Captivate 7 and for some reason the background image from slide 35 is appearing in all slides after that one and I can't remove it. The most interesting thing is that when you look at the slides in the film strip they look different (like the original) than the one on the work area which contains the background image I'm trying to remove (screenshot below).
    Any ideas or comments?
    Thank you.

    Hi Lilybiri,
    Thank you for your prompt response. That was it!!!! You are awesome! I tried so many things and I don't know how that setting changed to "rest of project". Great thing to check next time.
    I greatly appreciate your help.
    Have a great day.

  • Can I design a web page to use the background image from the user's installed persona?

    I build web applications, and I would like to have an application use the background image from whatever persona the visitor has installed, if any. Is this possible, using css/js/html?

    No that is not possible with code on web pages (userContent.css could probably do this).<br />
    The persona is only used as the background for the user interface (toolbar) area and not for websites.<br />
    The dimensions of the persona with the height of 200px is also not enough to cover a page.

  • Stop centered background image from getting cut off by a shrinking window

    My problem can be seen at cortw.public.iastate.edu
    my background image is centered to the top of the screen. When the browser window shrinks, I want the background image to stop moving when it reaches the edge of the screen. Currently, the image continues to move past the edge of the window.  I want to create an affect similar to apple.com and Facebook.com
    I have little experience coding. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Your CSS is seriously flawed.  Replace what you have now with this CSS code and it will work better:
    body {
    padding:0;
    width: 980px;
    margin:0 auto;  /**centered on screen**/
    color: #333;
    background: #FFF url(background.jpg) no-repeat;
    /**menu**/
    #apDiv2 {
    margin:55px 0 0 350px;
    For best results, don't use positioning.  You don't need it.  Use CSS margins, padding and floats to align elements on screen.

  • How do I remove background images from a PDF?  Using Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Standard.

    I have a file I need to print off, but the document is 100 pages lond and each page as a very obnoxious background image that makes it difficult to read the content, and I really don't want to waste the ink.
    I have tried a few things with no luck:
    -Tried replacing document background color in the 'Accessibility' tab in preferences.
    -Tried unchecking the 'Display large images' field in the 'Page Display' tab in preference - this leaves a dark gray background that I can't get rid of, which is almost as bad as the original image.
    -Tried several combinations under the 'Color Management' tab in preference to lessen the gray background achieved from the previous step.  I can only brighten the shade slighty, but there is still a fair amount of gray background.
    I just want a white background, or a clear background, and I have not seen any article or help topic on how to accomplish this.  Please help!
    Mike

    You might want to see if you can select the background with the object touchup tool. If so, can you then just delete the selected object. May take a while to go through the document, but if it solves the problem you are ahead. You may be able to select it with JavaScript and repeat the process. My point of using the object touchup tool is that it may not be a background set by Acrobat, but something that is simply labeled as an image from the Acrobat viewpoint.

  • Safari does not display my background-image from my CSS

    I am creating a web site in which I want an image to be seen in the backgound with the text "floating" over it. The code is listed below.
    /* CSS Document */
    a{text-decoration:none}
    body {
    background-image:url(images3/greywolf1.jpg);
    background-attachment:fixed;
    background-position:top right;
    background-repeat:no-repeat;
    height:100%;
    The image can be seen in IE, Netscape and Firefox but not in Safari. Is there a trick to this for Safari or does Safari not support this?
    You can view the current page I am working on at:

    Thanks for anyy help you can give me.

    Thank you. Though there was a closing brace on the body message, I ended up retyping the entire script and it worked.

  • Template Editable background-image

    Using Dreamweaver templates. I would like to be able to
    customize a background image in a DIV ID on individual pages. Can
    someone offer some sample code? Thanks.
    Dave

    Just use CSS to do this. If it's in an external file, the
    whole file will
    be editable. Do you understand what I am saying?

  • Templates and background images

    I created a new template using a background image. The

  • Template suddenly losing background image

    Hoping someone can help... here's the situation:
    *  I have been using the same templates in the same site for years
    *  All of a sudden, when I create a new page from a template, the background image does not show
    *   The problem started within a session during which I had already made  several pages, as I always do, with no problems - then, whammo, I  created another new page from the same template and this happened
    *   It happens with every single template in the site, and whether I use the "new  page from template" feature or apply the template to a created page
    * It  persists in archived / back-up versions of the site.  I even tried  upgrading from CS4 to CS5, thinking my copy of DW had been corrupted,  but that didn't fix it.
    Here is a link to a template:
    http://takeroot.org/Templates/blank_side_nav.dwt.php
    Here  is a link to a page spawned from that template, using the "new from  template" feature (which I have used a thousand times with no problems):
    http://takeroot.org/ExampleOfWrongness.php
    I  consulted with an IT friend who suggested I add "repeat-y left top" to  the body tag css that displays the bg image in the template.  That  didn't seem like a full answer since it has never had that line and has  been working just fine for years, but I tried it anyway and the result  was that the background image stopped displaying even in the template.
    Can someone help before I lose my mind?????  My family would be eternally grateful!
    Liss

    1.  The tempkate has the correct path to the image.  Why would the child have a different path?
    For some reason, DW thinks that this image is outside of the root folder.  When that happens, the link is always a file:/// link.  It will work locally, but not on the web.
    2.  Why would it just suddenly, out of the blue, start chosing this different path when 5 seconds earlier it worked as it always has?
    You would have to submit that question to the great OZ to get an answer.
    3.  Even with the new, random path,why wouldn't it display correctly when  previewed locally?
    It's not a random path - it's a correct path to the image is it not?  It should work locally.
    4.  Most important - what should I try next?
    Try opening the child page and applying the template to this page with MODIFY | Templates > Apply Template to Page

  • Template - background image missing

    Hi I'm sorry to be back but I have another problem that I don't seem to be able to solve.  I have looked at similar posts online,  but don't seem to have found the answer.
    I have created a template from Dreamweavers blank templates.  I have made ONLY TWO CHANGES to the blank template.  I've added a background image, and removed the background colour from the .body element. I'm hoping this will help isolate my mistake.
    When I create a new page from this template the background image does not display.  I've noticed that the image path is changed in the child page - whereas the template displays the relative path, the full path is given in the child.  I don't know if this is part of the problem?
    The problem occurs both when I preview the site through a browser, as well as online.
    I know I should be using templates for site-building, so need to know what I'm doing wrong here.  Many thanks, and please remember that I'm a novice so put it very simply so that I can grasp what your saying!
    http://www.gillwykes.com/development/frank_test/testpage2.html
    Thanks!

    I just tried a different approach.  Created a new site, through Site Manager.  Created an new HTML paged and did Save as Template.  I then added an image ( which is stored in the images folder in the site) as a background through Page Properties.  I saved and closed the template, and did File, New Page from Template.  The image did not display, and the path to the image was changed.  Here is the code.
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

    </html>
    and
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><!-- InstanceBegin template="/Templates/test1.dwt" codeOutsideHTMLIsLocked="false" -->

    </style>
    </head>
    <body>
    </body>
    <!-- InstanceEnd --></html>
    I'm obviouly missing something along the line.  It can't be a glitch in CS5.5 because it would be known by now!  But I've tried so many different files and methods now I'm totally confused.
    Next step, seeing if I can edit it in Notepad, and how that afffects things, and also digging out a previous version of Dreamweaver and see what happens there.  Will let you know!

  • Creating business cards in Pages with background image

    I am trying to use the Pages business card template and background image function of pages to create a business card that has an image on every business card on the sheet. I can't seem to find out how to do that. Can anyone help?
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Here is the basic method of having white text on a colored background: Insert a shape. While selected go to the Graphic Inspector and select a Fill color. Re-proportion the shape as needed. Insert a text box (or boxes) and type your text. Drag it (them) over the shape and change the color of the text to white (or any other color you desire). Select all and group. Duplicate as needed. Apply this procedure to your business cards or anywhere else.
    Another method for applying a colored background to a text box: select the text box and Fill it from the Graphics Inspector and adjust the Inset Margin in the Text Inspector.
