Is there a way to keep a reminder notification on my lock screen - and be counted on the bubble of the Reminder app - until the task is checked off in the Reminder app?

Let me clarify my question regarding the Reminder App. Lets say I set a reminder for a task for today at 2PM. At 2PM my phone sounds and I pull out my phone and on the lock screen is a notification of my reminder. However, lets say I dont complete the task that I was suppose to do at 2PM and, therefore I have NOT put a check mark in the reminder app box that the task was completed). What I want is for the notification on my lock screen to keep hounding me until I put a check mark in the reminder item. I want the bubble in the Reminder App on my home screen to contain the cound of UNCOMPLETED tasks (e.g. tasks that do not have a check mark in them).
Is there an option in the Reminder App to do this (e.g. the "dont stop hounding me" option) ? It all seems so logical. Someone must have asked how do this before but I couldnt find it.

Combine standard task (ABAP method call) and additional UWL Action Handlers

Hi, i have defined a task with an asynchronous ABAP method call and a terminating event which i want to use "as is" in the universal worklist, that means that the standard action has to be the ABAP method call defined for the task.
In addition to that i want to add an extra button to the workitem view in the worklist which opens a web dynpro application. The web dynpro needs a parameter from the workitem container. Opening the web dynpro is not required for completing the task, so i do not consider using secondary methods.
I created an UWLConfiguration for the task type without defining the defaultAction attribute, since defaultAction should not be overwritten. I wanted to use SAPWebDynproABAPLauncher to generate the button since i can easily include values from the workitem container in the call.
When executing a workitem from the worklist the ABAP method call is not performed, instead a window opens which just displays the workitem. The button to web dynpro is generated and works fine.
Does anyone have a clue how i can use UWL to define an additional button with SAPWebDynproABAPLauncher without overwriting the standard task definition?

does anyone know where the webicons are stored?
Is there a METHOD which I can use to check webicons?

I mean icons like the WEBICON_UNLOCKED.
I checked the mime-repository and found the default webicons in
\sap\public\bc\webicons\default\I\icons
So this is solved.
But how can I work with icons defined in type-pool icons (R/3). We have an classic transaction for which user can customize the used icons via customizing.
We want to reuse these setting in WebDynpro ABAP - which of course mean reuse of the icons.

The above Table shows my task distribution.Here I want to find tasks with suffix "SED" and then find a outline level 2 task and check whether it has subtask (outline level 3) if it has no outline level 3 task then that particular outline level
2 task has to be deleted.

Displaying both ABAP webdynpro and Java Webdynpro tasks in the UWL

Hi,
We have two an issue when trying to get the UWL to process two different types of workflow tasks : ABAP webdynpro and Java webdynpro.
Examples of these tasks are:
TS12300097 u2013 LeaveRequestApprover u2013 Java Webdynpro
TS17900100 - ASR_PROCESS_EXECUTE u2013 ABAP webdynpro
We have two backend systems configured
SAP_ECC_Financials u2013 This has the WAS host pointing to the java stack (xxx:50000)
SAP_ECC_Workflow u2013 This has the WAS host pointing to the ABAP stack (xxx.80xx)
In transaction SWFVISU all the tasks which use Java webdynpro have been configured to use the u2018Javau2019system (SAP_ECC_Financials) using the SYSTEM_ALIAS parameter
In the UWL configuration the system SAP_ECC_Workflow has been registered
In addition to this all u2018Javau2019 tasks have had an extra UWl config XML created to ensure that the SYSTEM_ALIAS is set to SAP_ECC_Financials
The system SAP_ECC_Workflow has been re-registered
The UWL cache has been cleared
However when we try to launch the java webdynpro tasks the system is trying to access the ABAP stack (It is still trying to access the Web AS location for the system SAP_ECC_Workflow even though the system alias was specified as SAP_ECC_Financials )
The ABAP webdynpro tasks (in this case a HCM process and form) are launched correctly
If we try the reverse (i.e register the Java system SAP_ECC_Financials and change the SYSTEM_ALIAS parameter for the ABAP webdynpro tasks to system SAP_ECC_Workflow) then the reverse happens. The java tasks can be launched and the ABAP tasks cannot.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem. Surely other people have implemented both ABAP and Java webdynpro workflows?

The workitem type registration has been done already, but still it doesn't work..
But here is the actual problem...
There is a link 'Execute Workitem' in the inbox of the approver, or the second level manager...
In the leave application, when we click on this link it is taking to the portal as the task is the Webdynpro Java application task. Whereas, when using ABAP webdynpro application task, it is taking to R/3 - which means that the user cannot access this link without R/3 access. The users are given only portal access, they don't have access to backend R/3.
The requirement is that the link has to take the user to portal directly instead of R/3 - i.e it should ask only for the portal id and password.
Since it was working fine with leave application, I changed the task to Java webdynpro task, but I think the Java Webdynpro application is not deployed in the server.
Please can anybody suggest.

Mark TODOs in ABAP code

Hi,
often I need to hardcode something in the code, so to test it fast and knowing that I will have to replace this after it is generally working.
In Java I used @TODO comments, so Eclipse would show them.
Does such thing exist in ABAP?
My other idea would be to produce by purpose somehow an ATC (ABAP Test Cockpit) violation with high priority, which should be easy to write and not alter the functionality of the code behind it.
So when I release my task, the check would complain

In the past I've done this by creating a check-point group in transaction SAAB and then adding a log-point (or assertion) in the code...

You can then do a where-used on the checkpoint group to find the corresponding code, as well as activating logging, breaking or aborting (as appropriate) for triggered log-points or assertions.

Authorization check creating Work Orders (IW31)

Hello everyone,
We need to make an authorization check when creating a Work Order in transaction IW31.
That check is based on the field "Main work center for maintenance tasks"
No check apart from the plant associated to the work center is done, but the problem is that there exist different Work Centers associated to the same plant, and we need to restrict it.
Our authorization model considers the Cost Center associated to the Work Center, but the Cost Center is not checked in this IW31 when entering the Work Center.
We have also tried using the classification system, but despite activating authorization obejct C_KLAH_BKL, is neither checked.
(It is amazing the difference between the number of objects marked to be checked in SU24 for this IW31 and the objects really checked when looking at authorizations trace)
We know that Work Center field exit could be used, but we would prefer not to change ABAP code.
Could you please give us a hint about how we can restrict this field?

How do I return two values from a
stored procedure into an "Execute SQL Task" please? Each of these two values need to be populated into an SSIS variable for later processing, e.g. StartDate and EndDate.
Thinking about stored procedure output parameters for example. Is there anything special I need to bear in mind to ensure that the SSIS variables are populated with the updated stored procedure output parameter values?
Something like ?

Below execute statement should work along the parameter mapping which you have provided. Also try specifying the parameter size property as default.
Exec [etl].[ConvertPeriodToStartAndEndDate] ?,?,? output, ? output
Add a script task to check ssis variables values using,
Msgbox(Dts.Variables("User::strExtractStartDate").Value)
Do not forget to add the property "readOnlyVariables" as strExtractStartDate variable to check for only one variable.

How can I call a java object from Web dynpro ABAP application?

I made Web dynpro ABAP application and posted it to SAP EP.
For certain business purpose, we need to call external 3rd party java object using 3rd party's java api in Web dynpro application.
Is there anybody who experienced this kind of java interface issue?
I know Web dynpro Java environment can fully support this kind of requirement. but regarding Web dynpro ABAP, I couldn't find any clue for this.
Any comment or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

I have a desktop PC Win7 with MS Ofc 2010. I have iCloud on Macbook, Laptop Win 8 with MS Ofc 2013, iPhone synched. I cannot get iCloud to accept the Outlook, Calendar, Contacts, Tasks with checking the box and starting the upload.
Error Message: Setup cannot be started because of an unexpected error. Should I delete iCloud and reload and try again? What are suggestions from the community? Sent report to iCloud.

Symptoms
After installing or upgrading to iCloud Control Panel 3.0, iCloud setup cannot complete.
Resolution
You may see one of several messages. Your troubleshooting steps will differ depending upon the message:
“Your setup couldn't start because your username or password is incorrect. Go to the iCloud Control Panel, sign out, and sign back in.”
Click Cancel to close the message.
Click "Sign out" on the iCloud Control Panel.
Reenter your Apple ID and password, then click Sign in.
“Your setup couldn't be started because the iCloud server stopped responding.”
or “Your setup couldn't be started because the iCloud server couldn't be reached.”
Check the System Status page to make sure there aren't any issues affecting the settings you've chosen in iCloud Control Panel. If you are setting up iCloud for use with Outlook, check that there aren't any issues with Mail, Contacts, Calendars, or Reminders.
Make sure your computer is online. In a browser, attempt to view www.apple.com and iCloud.com. If you can't connect to the Internet, your iCloud contacts, calendars and tasks cannot be added to Outlook. If you're using Windows 8, review the instructions for resolving network problems. If you're using Windows 7, review the instructions for troubleshooting internet connection issues.
