BAdi: Construct ID from Components in Bar Code

Has anyone used this BAdI in Aii 7.1?  Trying to find where this BAdI is called.  Looking for a method to convert between various barcode data, e.g. (01) (21) (10) (17) (30), and either parse out the AI data not contained in the GS1_SER ID or convert to SGTIN-96 depending on how the object id is stored in Aii.  This BAdI appears to be for this purpose, but when we activate it and create our enhancement spot I am not finding where the BAdI is called from /AIN/CL_CTX_INIT or other class.

I have never used that BAdi, but regarding to where it is used. The conversion method will called from here:
/AIN/CL_PML_SENSOR_MAP -> method: PARSE_BARCODE -> line: 102
CALL BADI lo_badi->constr_id_from_bc_comp

  • BADI/User Exit/BTE for updating Bar code in FI Invoice posting

    Hi,
We have a requirement to update the bar code value in the table BDS_BAR_IN, once the FI invoice is generated. This is an inbound. I tried, but didn't find any user exit/BADI/BTE to do the same.
Basically, I need to get any of these enhancement points where I can update bar code with the generated FI document number.
    Would appreciate your help.

  • Bar code reading

    Hi All,
In production we are using the Bar code reader before consume the components for production of assembly.
while the time of assembly backflusing, the component get GI (consumped asper sap)
but our client need that while do the scanning of the bar code of the components by Bar code reader, system need to do the GI.
component backflush. so how we can use the bar code reader to do backflush automatically.

    Hi Raj,
write a program to use MIGO by providing data read by BAR code reader.
what kind of scanner you are using......?
If the scanner is one of the non-programmable types.
Write a small VB or C program that has just the required fields on the screen. Use the scanner to populate those fields and when the last field has been scanned, either the program itself automatically calls the relevant BAPI or the user clicks an 'OK' button which then calls the relevant BAPI.
In either case the return from the BAPI should be displayed so the user knows whether to rescan or continue with the next goods movement.
one more things , is this post is extended issue of your post for peridocal backflush or its different issue.....?
if its extended one, please close the earlier one.
Check it out and revert back.
    Regards
    Ritesh

  • Regarding bar code scanning

    Hi Gurus,
    I have one requirement.
After scanning the barcode, that barcode value is populating in the selection screen of a program. My requirement is, after the value is filled in selection screen by barcode scanning, the report has to be executed automatically.
Could you please tell me is there any event triggers in the report, when the field is filled in the selection screen by scanning the barcode.
    Regards
    Rajesh

    Hi macam,
    Thanks for your update.
But i am not using any screen, the value of scanned bar code will be filled in the selection screen of Z-program. After filling the value, then it has to be executed automatically.
Kindly let me know, if any event will trigger after filling the value from the scanned bar code, so that we can write code in that
    Thanks and Regards

have an hp officejet pro 8100 and it does not print bar codes from UPS or USPS.  Can you please please help? i have used my ipad, by HP G62-355DX Notebook and neither will give me printed bar codes.  The balance of the mailing label do print, just not the bar code.  It may be my imagination, by I believe it used to print thebar codes.

    Hi,
Try adding an alternate driver and try to print.
To use an alternate print driver for HP printers in Windows 7:
    1. Click on the Start menu.
    2. Click on Devices and Printers.
    3. Click Add a Printer
    4. Add a local Printer
    5. Select Create a New Port
    6. Select Standard TCP\IP port
    7. Enter Printer IP address (Printer IP address can be found by printing network config page from printer
    8. Under Manufacturer select HP and under printer select HP Officejet 8000 pirinter or Officejet 7410
    9. Click apply and try printing
Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP.

  • Vertical lines, like a bar code, only when scanning or copying. Printing from computer is OK

I get vertical lines , in black & white & color, when scanning or copying.
When I print from my computer, all is OK.
The lines resemble a full page bar code.  I have done a cold reboot & run the HP trouble shooter, all to no avail.
I do not see a bright light during scan or copy.  Could the problem be a burnt out bulb?

    Hi @TAEZZAR
It certainly could be a the scanner bulb. Do you have the printer connected directly to a wall outlet or is it in a surge protector or power bar? Even if you have been using a surge protector/power bar all this time and you feel it is not the cause, please connect it to a wall outlet just so we can eliminate the power source as the root cause.   Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector
In this document you will see, ISSUE: Problems or issues may arise when an HP LaserJet series printer is connected to an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), a power strip, or a surge protector
^ This is not limited to Laserjet printers.
Let's perform a hard reset. To do so, leave the printer on and unplug the power cable for 1 minute. While it is unplugged, hold down the power button on the printer for 10-15 seconds to release any built up power, then after the minute has passed, plug the printer back in.
Also, please click the link below to ensure the printer has the latest firmware update. This firmware update can improve printer performance and fix miscellaneous defects.

    Hi,
What barcode are you using and what barcode font?
If you are using Code39 or Postnet then you need to make sure your values are formatted properly by creating a formula and using the barcode functions.
Have a search in the forum for barcodes.  It's been talked about a lot and you should find your solution.

    Hi,
1 do you need somehow to persist the report data in CRX?
2 do you want to use CQ Reporting tool? (http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/administering/reporting.html)
If no & no, you just have to do a servlet that access your database through a datasource.
If 1, you have to do a background job, that will regularily retrieve data from a datasource.
If 1&2, please refer to http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/developing/developing-reports.html
If 2 without 1, you would have to override the tool to use your homemade servlet that access the datasource

  • Is there a vi for acquiring bar code readings from a scanner?

I need to acquire at least 3 readings from multiple transducers and have their serial number placed and stored in my vi. Should I use a digital indicator, and if so, what will be my input. Is there a VI that handles this task, already built into Lab View 6.1?

    Justin,
It all depends on what kind of scanner you are using and how it communicates. If the scanner communicates using serial then it would be easy to write a VI to recieve the information. The protocol for a scanner is not likely to be very complicated.
There are two instrument drivers on the Instrument Driver network for reading barcodes. Go to www.ni.com/drivers and then click on Search for a Driver. Only fill in the additional keywords and search for "bar code" (include the quotes to search for the phrase). You will find two instrument drivers (MS 810 and MS 850).

  • I need to pull data from a keyboard attached bar code reader, labview basic verison 8

Does anyone know how to pull the data sent by a keyboard attached bar code scanner using labview basic, version 8?  I tried using the aquire input data function, however the data that it gives doesn't seem correct, and it also only seems to give one value out of the whole bar code.  Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Mike

You don't need anything more than a string control. A bar code scanner when used as a keyboard wedge, acts just like when you type something into the control with the keyboard. Make sure that the string control has focus and scan something.

  • Bar Code don't show in PDF output

    Hi,
I am trying to generate a BI publisher report from Oracle APEX with some text as Bar codes.
The report runs perfectly when run from BI publisher but when its run from APEX The Barcodes dont show when I select the output format as .pdf.
I tested for other output formats available in APEX like Word, Excel,HTML then the output is generated correctly with barcodes. Problem is only with PDF. Please help.

It's actually not that bad. That kind of corruption means that the program has got the wrong information about the size and height of the image.
For instance, if you had Peter's Avatar, which is a 46x46 image:
And you somehow thought it was 23x96 image, it would look like this:
and it looks like that's what's going on.
    Save your image.
    Open in Photoshop.
Save as a Portable Bit Map.
Open in a good editor, like Emacs.
The top of the file looks like this:
    P6
    46
    46
    255
Mess with the dimensions (46x46) until you get it right.
There's probably a better tool for this, but that's one.

  • HP service Tags - what type of bar codes do they use?

    Hi,
your problem is that you are trying to resolve a problem related to a specific statement by using instance-wide tools. You should look at performance stats for that particular statement.
    1) Identify sql_id of the offending statement (e.g. select sql_id from v$sql where sql_fulltext like '%part_of_statement_text_here%', if it doesn't return results check case or look in
    dba_hist_sqlstat)
    2) Look for records with this sql_id in DBA_HIST_ACTIVE_SESS_HISTORY (use filter on sample_time). Compare performance indicators for the timeframe of the incident and outside it
    3) You can also find performance stats for this statement in DBA_HIST_SQLSTAT, but you will have aggregates over snapshot duration
Given your symptoms, the most logical explanation is a plan flip. Check plan_hash_value in DBA_HIST_SQLSTAT -- if it changed around the time of the incident, that will confirm your suspicion.
Use dbms_stats.display_awr to display both "good" and "bad" plan. Try to understand the key difference, look at predicates for any hint that could explain it. If it doesn't give you results,
use format=>'advanced' to generate outlines for both plans, then you can set STATISTICS_LEVEL=ALL and run the statement with both plan, producing extended plan statistics. Use
dbms_xplan.display_cursor(..,..,format=>'allstats last') to display it. If having difficulty interpreting it, post it here to get the help from community.
    Best regards,
    Nikolay

    >     Requesting 'SAVE DATA QUICK TO 'D:\sapdb\pipe2' PIPE BLOCKSIZE 8 NO CHECKPOINT MEDIANAME 'BACKDBFULL'' from db-kernel.The database is working on the request.
This seems to be your problem, the pipe is wrongly defined. On Windows it looks like
    \\.\pipe1
