BADI that has a parameter of type ANY

How do I work with a parameter of type ANY? I need it to be typed to a structure. How can I do that and ensure that it is coming in correctly?

I have created a FM which has export parameter data type as 'Type ref to data'.
The actual paremeter value for this export parameter is a dynamically generated internal table, which does not have a abap dictionary data type.

Wouldn't it be enough if you define parameter in test data container as reference to table type with structure of type c(1000) (or more/less characters depending on how much data you need to pass)?
I'm not 100% sure if filling this table with data will work (this is reference after all) but if this is an issue than create 2 parameters: 1 of table type and second of reference type. Then inside your script before FUN use ABAP...ENDABAP to assign your table parameter to reference parameter and use second one as input for FUN command.
I think that either first or second solution should work.

I need to call a stored procedure that has a Table Of data type as an input parameter (possibly even several Table Of input parameters). I can't seem to find any example of how to do this in VB6 using ODBC. Is this even possible?

Inherit method that has constrained parameter

VS 2010, Win 7x64
We have been trying to inherit/override a method that has a constrained parameter. The signature of the base class method looks like:

The compiler objects to every variation we can come up with. This one is typical:

one, it still objects.

Printing report that has a parameter with multiple values crashes jvm

I am using BOE XI 4.0 as an unmanaged RAS.
I am able to preview a report that has a string discrete parameter that can have multiple values. If I give it a single value. It previews fine. If I give it an empty string it prints all values which is fine. If I give it two discrete values, it displays just those two.
However, if I try printing the report to a printer:
1 parameter value - prints fine.
2 parameter values - crashes jvm
empty string parameter value - crashes jvm
I would appreciate some direction on how to do this. It works in crystal reports for eclipse.
The test jsp I am using is based off of the samples. The print test jsp is the same as the preview test with the exception of the following code differences.:

if networked check the firware of the printer is the latest as well

Calling a stored proc that has a parameter of a user-defined (array) type

Hope someone can help me on this, because I am really struggling...
From a c-program, I am calling stored procedures using the OCI Interface. Everything is OK, when using the standard types (integer, string, date), but I am encountering problems when one of the parameters is of a type that is defined in the database as an array. My application calls multiple array-type parameters in one call, but for the sake of simplicity, I created a test application to only use one.
The following call is working (but it needs to be called using the OCI functions):
BEGIN
p_test_table_num (pin_num1 => T_ARRAY_EH_DEP(1,2,3));
END;
My first step was to have the following combination:
statement: begin p_test_table_num(:pin_num1);end;
parameter: pin_num1
value: t_array_eh_dep(1,2,3)
That lead to the error (when executing the statement): wrong number or types of arguments
Second idea (after a lot of browsing):
statement: begin p_test_table_num(t_array_eh_dep(:pin_num1));end;
parameter: pin_num1
value: 1,2,3
This leads to the error: numeric or value error: number precision too large.
My bind function call looks like:

For those who are interested, I found the solution myself...
To use any user-defined type, you need to perform the following steps:
1. OCIBindByPos or OCIBindByName as you would bind a normal parameter
2. OCITypeByName to get a reference to the type definition in Oracle
3. OCIObjectNew to create a reference to the array (OCI_TYPECODE_VARRAY)
4. Assign a value to the column, for instance use OCIStringAssignText, OCINumberFromInt, OCIDateFromText
5. OCICollAppend ( to add the value from step 4 to collection)
6. OCIBindObject
7. OCIStmtExecute
8. OCITransCommit
Example:

How to pass a parameter of type __int64 to a DLL from LabVIEW?

I have a DLL function built in C that has a parameter of type __int64. Is it possible for me to represent a control of type equivalent to __int64 in LabVIEW?

I would agree with the other answers, but I have a bit more information as well. LabVIEW's EXT data type is in an IEEE format for an 80-bit floating point number (1 sign, 15 exponent, 64 mantissa, see Application Note 154). This should then represent an 64-bit integer with no issues (theoretically). However, I have only ever been able to get it to represent integers up to 1000000000000000000.000000 visually (1*10^18). I have a VI that reproduces this and I am trying to get it fixed. Now, the numerical value in memory is correct, but LabVIEW cannot visualize it to you at each integer value from 10^18 to 2^64. (Try placin
g an EXT control on the front panel and typing in 1000000000000000000.000000. Then type in 1000000000000000001.000000. Notice that it does not display that value. However, run the attached LabVIEW VI and notice that the numerical values are not identical because they are not equal.) Another thing to note is that the increment/decrement buttons quit working after 9007199254741000.00.
This all came about because customers wanted to get 64-bit integers from GPIB instruments. So what I did what to take the string and make the 64-bit integer into 2 32-bit integers. I then put them back together into an EXT data type to represent the large number. This is when I ran into the issue of the very large numbers.
So, I agree that inputting two 32-bit integers would be the best method. Then use the "Scale by Power of 2" function to multiply the high part by 2^32 and add it to the low part. Again, this works for numbers up to 10^18.

In BI the designtime and runtime of webtemplates use BI-JAVA usuage type.similarly for Formatted reporting too it uses BI-JAVA.see if you can successfully create a new webtemplate and can execute it,if you can then they had deployed dual stack in ur system.u can also check in Tcode SICF to see if web services are on.let me know if that helps

Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

How do you stop spell checking any "word" that has an underscore in it.

I send lots of email that reference code. Either with snipits, or mentioning variable names or file names etc.
So I would I disable any spell check of any word that has an underscore character as part of it. For example dont_check_this_var.
I specifically am concerned about settings in Outlook

Right click on the word, and select "Ignore all".
To disable spellcheck,
Click the File tab, and then click Options.
Click Mail , and then click Editor Options.
Click to clear the Check spelling as you type check box.
Click to clear the Mark grammar as you type check box.
