BAM Console not opening
Hi
I am not able to login in my BAM console. The Logic=n page is coming but after giving username and password its not opening the next page. My bam server is up and running. Can anyone please suggest what could be the issue with my BAM console. I am using following URL for accessing BAM
http://<server-url>:<bam_server port>/OracleBAM
Thanks in Advance
Hi Roshni
1. Check the log files / console output from where you started your bam server. Look for any errors / exception stack traces.
2. Also if I am not wrong, only IE supports BAM Reports. So I hope you used IE and not firefox browser.
3. Do you get any invalid username/password errors when you login.
4. Try with admin username/password to login.
5. Have you done all the basic configs for BAM Reports like setting outbound connection details, host, port, etc for OracleBAMAdapter module form Weblogic console. From EM Console, add proper users/groups to BAMAdminRole and any narrowed down users to access BAM Reports etc.
Thanks

Regards,
SriniSo while this certainly isn't the most elegant of solutions, and most assuredly isn't in the realm of supported by Oracle...
I've used the DBMS_IJOB.DROP_USER_JOBS('username'); package to remove the 194558 orphaned job entries from the job$ table. Don't ask, I've no clue how they all got there; but I've prepared some evil looks to unleash upon certain developers tomorrow morning.
Not being able to reorganize the JOB$ table to free the now wasted ~67MB of space I've opted to create a new index on the JOB$ table to sidestep the full table scan.
CREATE INDEX SYS.JOB_F1_THIS_NEXT ON SYS.JOB$ (FIELD1, THIS_DATE, NEXT_DATE) TABLESPACE SYSTEM;The next option would be to try to find a way to grant the select privilege to the role without using the aforementioned "after CREATE on schema" trigger and dbms_job call. This method was adopted to cover situations in which a developer manually added a table directly to the database rather than using the provided scripts to recreate their test environment.
I assume that the following quote from the 11gR2 documentation is mistaken, and there is no such beast as "create or replace table" in 11g:
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e10592/statements_9003.htm#i2061306
"Dropping a table invalidates dependent objects and removes object privileges on the table. If you want to re-create the table, then you must regrant object privileges on the table, re-create the indexes, integrity constraints, and triggers for the table, and respecify its storage parameters. Truncating and replacing have none of these effects. Therefore, removing rows with the TRUNCATE statement or replacing the table with a *CREATE OR REPLACE TABLE* statement can be more efficient than dropping and re-creating a table." -
Administrator console not opening
Guys,
I have just installed OBIEE in windows xp. My OC4J and other apps are running. But when i open the Administrator console (Admin tool) , it does not open. It acts as if i didnt click it.
Can some one point to what i should do to solve htis issue ?
- GJHi,
Well, the UI would still be up if your OC4J is up however you will not be able to login as the Authentication passes through BI Server and your BI Server needs to be up for this, netiher would you be able to open online mode RPD without BI Server running. Why not you go to 'RUN' and issue this command "admintool" and check if you are able to access.
Hope it helps

OIM server running but webconsole and design console not opening
Hi All,
I configured OIM in my machine by giving the following OIM HTTP url during installtion : http:/xxx.xxx.x.7:14000.
The configuration was successful and i was able to work in both design and web console(http://localhost:14000/oim) of OIM for many months.
But all off a sudden, the OIM consoles are not opening though the OIM server is in running mode (Verified thro Weblogic web console). And i also found that my my local ip address changed to xxx.xxx.x.6.
I doubt that this behavior is due to the change in my system ip address.
Am i right or could there be any other reasons? if yes, Is there anything i can do now?
Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks
PriaNo, both the ways did not work for me.
I updated my host file as below and tried accessing the webconsole(http://old ip:14000/oim) but it did not turn up.
new ip address http://old ip:14000/oim
I hope the above is correct. -

SaiHello, Sai! Can you give us some more info? Such as:
- Operating system
- Browser used
- Whether anything comes up in the output window
- Whether anything comes up in the log files (domain log, server log, etc.)
Some suggestions:
Did you wait a bit after starting? Perhaps it hadn't quite started yet (unlikely).
Do you have a firewall running? Perhaps it is blocking port 7001.
Does your hosts file resolve localhost to 127.0.0.1? You could just try http://127.0.0.1:7001 instead.
Make sure that you have Java enabled (although I think you would still get the login page even if you didn't have Java).
Try a different browser. -
When I click on Develop->Show Error Console nothing happens. Nothing happens when I click Web Inspector or Network Timeline either. Snippet Editor works though.
I'm running Vista.
Nothing in Windows event log. I watched the process activity using Process Monitor and saw Safari do only this:
29500 1:04:06.9074565 AM Safari.exe 5920 RegOpenKey HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Control Panel\Desktop NAME NOT FOUND Desired Access: Read
It tries that registry key hundreds of times during it's lifetime so that's probably not the problem.
Here's more info on the Safari process and the dll's it has loaded:

Application server control console not opening
Hi all,
I have installed oracle XE,oracle application server10.1.3.1.0 and Oracle Business Intelligence. But now when i try to Application server control page i get a http 404 error. I have also changed the default-web-site.xml file and set its ohs-routing to "true". Even then it is not working. Moreover i do not find any services for application service in the windows services. Please help me solve this. It is very important and urgnent.
Thanks in advance..Hi,
I assume this is OAS 1013x.
Be default the em application is enabled only for home.
+ check the status of the application with opmnctl status -app
+ Ensure that the ascontrol application is deployed in the container and its up. If not deploy it and check whether <web-app application="ascontrol" name="ascontrol" load-on-startup="true" root="/em" /> is added in default-web-site.xml
Hope this helps

Weblogic Server Administration Console does not open
hi,
I am using EM Grid Control and Weblogic Server is added in the Middleware Targets...when I click on "Weblogic Server Administration Console" to open the Admin Server console it directs me to old IP address in the browser and console does not open...it goes on old IP address...
it gets open when I put the Ip address myself in the browser like:
https://10.254.166.141:7102/conole
it gets open there...means that server is okay and working properly...
I have seen the logs and it is giving the following message:
<<anonymous>><BEA-220103> <Async web service support is not fully configured. The async response web
service /AsyncResponseServiceSoap12 for this server was not fully deployed because the JMS reliability queue was not
defined/deployed:
any help will be appreciated...
thanx
Edited by: user13672598 on May 23, 2011 4:55 AMHi,
Can you check the EM configuration whenther it has updated the changes made by you i.e. the ip address.
Can you try rebooting the EM application,as this seems to be that the EM has not the changes reflected to it's configuration.
Hope this helps

Mohan.Dear krishna,
even if your thread is closed:
If you get this error in firefox you just have to install java plugin.
Please find documentation [here|http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Using%20the%20Java%20plugin%20with%20Firefox].
Best regards,
Alex
