BAM desing studio(EL) ora.oledb issue

hi,
i got an error while using ora.oledb to connect my XE db from OLEDB source in BAM desing studio(EL), same error while using base view of EL.refer some tutorial of same nature.External DataSource from BAM architect is working.but error when using OLEDB source in EL.
the error is:

My company is Hitachi Consulting and we are implementing BPEL and BAM one of clients in Dallas. It will be really helpfull if I can be referred to anybody local who can help us out with issues.
Also, for JMS Topic while publishing sensor data to JMS Topic how to we provide value for Durable Subcriber Name so that in BAM configuration it can match the same and would be able to subscribe to topic.
I am also trying to read messages from AQ using OAS 10.1.0.2 following the technote I am not quite sure if I need opmn.jar file. I could not locate jar file on OAS or standalone installation.

I can also confirm that this is an issue, specifically with what appears to be with 1.2 SP2.

Empty tabs in BAM Active Studio (SOA Suite 11.1.1.3)

I experienced an issue with BAM Active Studio and the SUN jdk 1.60_18 in SOA Suite 11.1.1.3. When I click "edit view" in a report, the "Data" tabs are all empty. The issue only occurs with the bundled SUN jdk 1.60_18 (under Windows 7). It does not occur when using the bundled jrockit 1.60_17.

I successfully installed SOA Suite 11.1.1.3 too on windows 2003server
I first Installed oracle database11.2.0.2
then Created RCU - 11.1.1.2.1 using prefix "DEV",but no use the RCU 11.1.1.3
after Installed WLS 10.3.3 full install
Finally Installed SOA Suite 11.1.1.2.0 in the middleware home created in Step 3
and Upgraded SOA Suite from 11.1.1.2 to 11.1.1.3
so we hava the same steps.I run the em and console successful,and all the soa Components are run Operating normally!
and I found not any different between RCU 11.1.1.2.1 and RCU 11.1.1.3 on install soa suite.
I want to know you to Exchange our soa Experience!

BAM Active Studio bug

I am unable to see the Data Objects/Fields/Sort/Filter/Top N/Calculation/Drilling in the tabbed pane of the Updating Ordered List in the Oracle BAM Active Studio. This looks like a bug. How can I fix it. I am using 11.1.1.2 version. Please advise.

Strange ORA-12542 issue

Hi,
I'm facing a baffling ORA-12542 issue for batch processes run by our application.
OS Platform : Solaris 10 8/07 Sparc. Database runs in a Solaris sparse root zone
Database : Oracle 9.2.0.8
Listener : Uses default port of 1521
Background:
We have a daemon running on the database server that polls the database for jobs. This daemon queries a table with the database. If it finds a job it disconnects and spawns a new process based on the job definition. This process in turn calls a shell script that invokes SQL*Plus to generate a report.
Issue:
Periodically the daemon serves an ORA-12542. We've tried tracing the listener but no information comes up there.
In /var/tmp/.oracle we see only two socket files. So old socket files also do not seem to be causing a problem.
We've now increased the queue size for the listener. Also we've tried setting TCP_CONN_REQ_MAX_Q to 1024 on the Solaris server.
The only commonality between the daemon logs and listener logs we find is a step of service update. Could this be having any impact on a daemon which polls frequently? Below, the first line is from our daemon log and the lower lines are from the listener log.

Restart the listener and try again. For more see DOC ID 114323.1 on metalink.
Reason may be the entries in /etc/hosts which have two entries one for loopback address and other for NIC's assigned address.

In BAM --> Active Studio --> Create new report --> select data object (setp 1) --> select data object fields ( step2)
--> Other function ( step 3) --> create filter.
Now , when I select "create filter" in the bottom bar of the browser show a warning simbol (!) and read "End". If I see the detail of the warning :

Is it possible to import Reports in BAM Active Studio?

i exported (saved as) a Report in BAM Active Studio as a .mht file. Now i'm searching for a possibility to import this Report on another Server. There seems to be no way to import it directly. Even on the file system is no folder where it can be placed. I thought that BAM Active Studio may recognize it and import it automatically.

I am not familiar with .mht file. BUT any BAM Stuff like BAM Reports, Data Objects (Single or All) can be Exported and Imported using a command called icommand. I sue this to Export from one Env like Dev or QC and Import into Production. Here is link for more details.

Windows 8.1 users: Visual studio 2013 design rendering issues

Has any 8.1 user experienced this yet. I am pretty sure it' my laptop. John i know you was thinking about a yoga pro 2. Did you get One?
Basically a form i wrote in 2010 from xp will appear massively different if ANY UI changes are made. The form will appear as expected and drawn up until this point.
Image One attached is the form should appear. Image Two is after i add a random button that you can see. The whole form does not even render. It crunches it all together. I assume this is a laptop resolution issue?

From your description, could you please tell me how you renew your developer license for Windows 8.1 from Visual Studio 2013 Community Edition?
Generally, we can renew the developer license by going to PROJECT->Store->Acquire Development License… like the following screen shot.
In addition, as you said that you get the error in the 'contacting license server' stage for too long and eventually doesn't proceed further.
You mean that you did not get the developer license window which requires input the Microsoft account like the following screen shot, am I right?
If yes, as you said that the Avast antivirus installed and running. I suggest you can try to disable or un-install it check if it can work.
To make sure that it is not your VS IDE issue, please reset your VS settings, and then run it as the admin, test it again.
You can also try to run your VS in safe mode to make sure that it is not the add-ins or the extension tools’ issue.

Error of New report creation in BAM Active Studio

I just installed Oracle BAM. I entered in WEB-interface and selected Active Studio.
Then I pressed "Create a New report" Button. I've had the following message report:

Looks like one of the system dataobjects wasn't properly loaded.
I believe you have some/most tables for the Active Data Cache (populated during install) because it appears you are able to start the Oracle BAM Active Data Cache service and get to the Start Page.

IF you have any missing system dataobjects, I would suggest drop the Oracle user account used to install BAM so you would delete all it's tables. Then recreate the same user account with resource and connect privileges. Then run cacheinit.exe from your OracleBAM\BAM directory. This will recreate the entire ADC for you.

Not able to resolve ORA-12154 issue

Hi,
have installed a Oracle 11g on a 64-bit Windows 2008R2 server. Installation based on logs was success full, however I do have some issues with getting TNS to work. I am able to TNSPING the server and it returns expected result, but when i try to connect via SQLPLUS (sqlpuls ora/ @srv1) it results in "ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified".
We are in contact with the sid by bypassing TNSNAMES.ORA , but that does not resolve my issue since i need this to work.
I have attempted some suggested changes to tnsnames.ora, sqlnet.ora and listner.ora with out success sofar.
Hope some one has some suggestions on how to overcome this issue

Cannot solve the ora-4030 issue in oracle11g (AIX 6.1) platform !!

Dear Friends ,
We are using Oracle 11g (11.2.0.1.0) in AIX 6.1 server . The oracle database has configured newly in AIX 6.1 last 7 days ago . Now we want to import our data from another 11g (R2) database . When we are going to import the data , then we face the below error after 15/20 min . the dump size near about 1 gb.
while importing the dmp file shows the error as follows:

tuning the above three things , I cannot solve the issue ... would anybody plz help me .....to resolve the issue. is it a bug of thie Oracle version ?

I have exactly same issue on Linux platform. My db version is also 11.2.0.1. Can you let me know how do i check the soft and hard limits. I checked ulimit and it shows as below:

ORACLE OLEDB issue

Hi Experts,
We have installed the SAP PI 7.0 in our Server.
One of our application needs oleDB Provider which is not part of custom ORACLE installation of SAP PI 7.0.
Shall we install oraOLEDB provider separately and whether this installation will affect the existing oracle installtion of SAP PI 7.0 in anyway?
Kindly advise us on this issue.

Hi sasitharan,
the OleDB Provider is part of the Oracle client software.
It is not used by SAP Software but it won't affect your SAP system if you install the provider on the server where your application runs.
Note: it's not necessary to install it on the Oracle Server itself - it's just a client interface for your application.

Design Studio 1.4 SDK: Issues when launching from the Eclipse IDE

Hi,
I am receiving various errors when launching Design Studio 1.4 from the Eclipse IDE for SDK development. All of the components appear in the Component panel as expected but I can't drag and drop any of the SDK components (or standard components for that matter) onto the canvas. When I launch Design Studio 1.4 independently of Eclipse everything works fine (event though I still see come errors in the Console).
I'm hoping the community can provide some guidance to help resolve the issue. The details are documented below:
Environment:
Design Studio Version: Release 1.4 SP0 Patch 1 (64-bit)
Eclipse Version: Java EE IDE Luna Service Release 1a (4.4.1) - 64-bit
Java Run-time Environment: Version 8 Update 25 (64-bit)
Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit
Eclipse Configuration for DS SDK:
Target Location:
Target Environment:
Target Run Configuration (Main):
Target Run Configuration (VM Arguments as per DS SDK Developer Guide):
Steps to Reproduce Error
1. Launch Eclipse
2. Launch DS 1.4 from Run command in Eclipse
The following screen appears immediately after launching DS from Eclipse:
At this point the DS error log is as per the attached DS_Log_After_Eclipse_Launch.txt file.
3. Create a new blank Application from the Application -> New menu. This time additional error messages appear as shown in the screenshot below:
It's not possible to drop any standard or SDK components onto the canvas because the internal browser doesn't appear to have been instantiated due to the above errors.
At this point the DS error log is as per the attached DS_Log_After_Eclipse_LaunchAndAppCreate.txt file.
3. Return to Eclipse IDE
The Eclipse Console displays the following errors:

4. Launch DS 1.4 Independently
The following errors also appear when I launch DS 1.4 independently of Eclipse but it in this case everything seems to work fine.

BAM in studio

I am unable to see BAM results/values inside of studio
Is there a configuration to see BAM details inside studio?
Can we see BAM values inside of a studio Or do we have to use Enterprise Server to see them?

The BAM data is available in studio but you have to activate for your project, in engine preferences you have a section called BAM and a check box to activate the BAM, also you specify the refresh rate, by default is 60 seconds and the time the instances remain in the end activity before the disposer delete them
