Bangladesh VAT Requirement in FMCG

Dear Gurus,
I have a VAT requirement in Bangladesh for an FMCG company.
In this company the following setup exists:
2 Manufacturing Plants (which has its own VAT registration No.)
Central Sales Depot (which has its own VAT registration No.), this CSD is a virtual location which is allowed to be setup by the Bangladesh government for simplicity of tax reporting.
7 Sales Depot (physical distribution centres)
From tax point of view, company needs to declare manufacturing price for a FG at manufacturing plant level, also company needs to declare another list price for an FG at Central Sales Depot. Since there are 7 different sales depot, and for a particular FG list price is same for all, government allows Company to setup a virtual location (Central Sales Depot).
In this company, the following goods movement scenarios are VAT applicable:
Every goods receipt from Vendor is accompanied by a VAT challan (tax invoice) which needs to be entered into the system.
Goods sent from Manufacturing Plant to Central Sales Depot. At this stage, supplementary duty is also applicable at 15%.
Goods sent from Central Sales Depot to Sales Depot.
In the case of subcrontacting with 3rd Party Supplier and physical goods is shipped directly to Sales Depot, the following legal VAT flow is applicable:
3rd Party Supplier to Manufacturing Plant
Manufacturing Plant to Central Sales Depot
Central Sales Depot to Sales Depot
I understand there is no Bangladesh localization for this kind of requirement, hence could you please advise me on a suitable solution for this requirement?
Also, in India localization (CIN), I understand that it is possible to have VAT applicable for a goods movement, in this case is it a viable solution?

Hi,
I think you can maintain various rates of taxes using the following key combination of access sequence  which is assigned to your Tax condition type
Country/Plant region/Customer Region/Tax cl 1 of customer/ Tax cl1 of material. ( i think it is 368 table check in V/05).

    Hi experts,
I would like to know where I can find documentation about vat report for Hungary.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hema,
Please activate hard currency(Local currency 3) as HUF, so that you can have transaction amounts in HUF also eventhough your company code currency is EUR.
Please check F.12 report for your VAT requirement.
Here you have to capture BSEG-DMBE3 value as per your requirement.

  • VAT Payment to VAT Authority in Azerbaijan on Payment run

    Hi SAP Guru,
I have gather a VAT requirement that in Azerbaijan that at the time of payment run to external vendors for invoice settlement, the company is also obliged to pay VAT portion to the authority.
The VAT portion amount should relate to the Payment amount to the external vendors. I was thinking of exploring the possibility of using BTE to create a payment request.
would any of you have any suggestion/inputs/advice on the solution to this issue?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi...........
To get such kind of report, you have to map tax accounts accordingly. Tax accounts for both purchase and sale would be same so that if you want to know the balance of VAT account you can get easily.......

  • Hungarian VAT report in HUF showing differences with accounting documents

When we run the VAT report for the USCC for Hungary with transaction S_ALR_87012357 in HUF, the amounts picked up by the report may differ from the amounts in the accounting document. It seems that the error occurs if the amount ends on a zero. So we get differences, when the base amount, VAT amount or gross amount ends on a zero

  • Hungary VAT report in HUF - company code currency is EUR

    Hi,
We have the below requirement from our client.
Company is incorporated in Switzerland and is having a plant in Hungary.
We have decided to have 2 company codes one with country key as CH(switzerland) and the other with country key as HU (Hungary).
The client wants to have the currency for the Hungary company code as EUR (Company code currency)
Requirement: VAT report generation in currency HUF for the Hungarian company code. While accounting should consider the European bank rates for converting foreign currency Invoices into EUR, the VAT report should consider the Hungarian Bank Rates for converting all Invoices into HUF. This conversion should be on daily rates for all the invoices.
There is an option to activate report generation in an Alternative currency (RFASLD15). However, the translation is made on a fixed translation date to be given in the report selection criteria.
Any suggestions to meet the requirement would be of great help to us.
    Many Thanks

  • Integration of Financials with external systems

    Hi,
I am strugling with an implementation where the client is not sure if Oracle Financials suits his business processes
    Overview of situation on Hand:
We do not have the product installed as yet at the client site
Products of Oracle Financials to be used :General Ledger, Account Receivable, Account Payable, Fixed Assets,India Localization Patch
Products of Oracle Applications NOT available for use :
    Purchasing, Inventory, Order Management
(All these areas are being covered by developing a customized Bespoke system)
    1.     Is it possible to use Oracle India Localizations (with regards to the excise functionality, for e.g. claiming of ModVat, the various excise registers that are to be maintained for e.g. RG23 A, RG23C,etc ) in the above situation (without implementing Purchasing, Inventory, and Order Management?).
    2.     Further, while passing the Vendor’s Bills (in Oracle Payables), one of the criteria for PO Matching is to check if the ModVat has been claimed. Is this functionality available in Payables with the India localization patch?
    3.     Does Oracle India localization cater for VAT requirements?
    4.     Is an Open Interface available to transfer Purchase Order data from external systems to Oracle Purchasing tables (which are shared by Oracle Payables the names being PO_HEADERS, PO_LINES, PO_LINES_LOCATIONS, PO_DISTRIBUTIONS, PO_DISTRIBUTIONS_AP_V (VIEW OF PO_DISTRIBUTIONS), PO_RELEASES (Blanket Purchase Orders), PO_LOOKUP_CODES) at transactional frequency? However, if the oracle purchasing module is not being used, can the interface tables of Purchasing be used?
    5.     An open interface (Payables Open Interface) is available in Oracle Payables to import the Invoices from external systems. While importing these invoices, does the system expect to have the Purchase Order data in the PO tables mentioned in the point above?
    6.     Is an Open Interface available to transfer Quantity Received/Accepted data from external systems to PO_line_locations table to enable carrying out of 2/3/4 way matching of Purchase orders with invoices? Can the 4 way mathcing be carried out in AP by just importing Purchase Order data??
    7.     Can the Credit Card Transaction Interface be used for uploading employee expenses / advances settlement (not carried out via credit card) directly from feeder system?
    8.     Is it possible to use Open Item interface (including import concurrent program) even though Inventory module is not being installed ? If yes, then we would like to use this interface for updating Item master from bespoke system..
    9.     Can Auto Invoice API be used to import invoices from feeder system / legacy system (via RA interface Tables) into the Oracle receivable invoice tables? Is order number as column a prerequisite for successful completion of Auto Invoice API?
    10. Where should the Masters be kept....OF of Bespoke
eg. Employee master, Inventory Item Master etc.
    11. What is the best strategy for keeping the data in Bepoke and OF related to Masters in sync?
I have got various answers to these questions .....but some seem to contradict each other.
    PLEASE HELP!!
    Thanks,
    Kamana

    Dear Kamana,
Can you send me the replies given by our other Forum Friends, let me analyze the entire stuff and get back to you with a single consolidated bible for all your questions.

Our client wants to Create a new tax code ......though which they can claim the .....Input of 50%  Excise duty this year and 50% next year,( for that he want to update two different GL accounts for these percentages)  and 4% VAT on it.
    EX:

12.36% of Excise duty which is     Rs.1236/-
4% of vat on Rs.11236/- which is    Rs.898.88/-

    Hi,
There is no defined process for returning capital goods.
While making the Incoming excise invoice Purchase tax accounts defined in tax code and On Hold account defined in GL Account determination will be debited for the 50% value.
While returning the same,in Outgoing excise invoice, sales tax accounts defined in tax code will be credited for the whole value.
After doing this, An adjustment journal entry need to be passed by crediting the On hold account and debiting the sales tax accounts defined in tax codes for only the 50% excise value.
By doing so our input and output for excise booking will balance.
Hope you got my view in it.

  • Pricing Procedure Routine

Can any body give me the solution for populating the Tax condition value to pricing condition value in PO to fulfill the VAT requirement for deductable taxes.
In ME22N  the invoice tab(item level) i mention some tax code after that i press Taxes Pusbutton it'll show all tax condition & value. My Requirement is to transfer this value from tax condition to some Z pricing condition in Condition Tab.

    Hi
I have done same requirement for Sales order.
For that purpose U have to create RV routine
from trasaction <b>VOFM</b><b> formulas->Codition base value</b> and u have to attach it to that particular pricing procedure. Then u can code in that particular RV routine accordingly.
U need access key for that purpose.
I dont know path i.e formalas-> codition base value may differ in ur case.

  • IPhoto Calendar - Charged import Tax by Customs!

Purchased a Calendar before Christmas through iPhoto using the built in templates and service. Paid and received the calendar no problem.
However this week I have received an overdue payment invoice from FedEx, claiming there are unpaid import taxes on the Calendar I received from Apple.
I am based in the UK and checked my invoices from apple, which clearly shows I have paid the 15% VAT required in this country.
Anyone else experience an issue like this? If so whats the quickest and easiest way of sorting this without having to initially pay the amount due?
    Many thanks.
    Vince

    Thanks TD,
Well just to keep this thread updated for anyone who maybe following it or have similar issues in future. Update so far:
Contacted FedEx, they can not help in this issue as it does not matter where the item(s) were printed (EU country or US). The parcel was collected by FedEx in the US and apparently shipped to the UK, thus as far as they are concerned, import duty is still outstanding on it.
Contacted Apple, no response as yet!!
All seems a little odd, as these calendars are printed in a EU country, so why they would then need to be shipped to the US to get sent to the UK seems a little odd.
FedEx did mention they have had a lot of these invoice issues with Apple!!
