Banking web site after login fails to display properly and says I need to have CSS enabled. Can't find how to do that.

Running FF 5.0 on Win XP Pro. Several web sites stopped displaying properly overnight without a computer shutdown or FF shutdown. One of the sites is a banking site which displayed normally until after login when it failed to display and there was a message saying best viewed with CSS turned on. I've restarted both FF and then the computer and FF to no avail. Tried both No Style and Basic Style Views with no change. Did not do a power off full computer shutdown and restart yet. Has only happened in FF 5.0. Never happened in previous versions.

I have public PC's that have a lot of GPO restrictions. The issue I am seeing is when public users try and log into web sites that are federated with Google or amazon they fail to complete and pass the credentials back to the original web site. Example
is the khanacademy. they get message login complete but they don't get returned it just hangs there. When I turn UAC off it works but I know that can't be the answer because as an admin I login and it works. Something has to be blocking that
action, I am not sure what it is, if anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it. Been working on this for two weeks now.

How did you federate the websites, via ADFS? If yes, in order to get better, we can ask for suggestions in the following forum.

Update(s) break ability to connect to bank web site(s)

One of the recent updates to 10.7.3 - either a security update or the Java update - has broken the ability to connect to certain bank web sites from ANY browser, including Internet Explorer running under Parallels. The latter makes me suspect that something in the hidden antivirus technology is blocking certain internet communication. Disabling the firewall makes no difference - and the sites will not appear with Safari (32 bit or 64 bit mode), Chrome or Firefox any longer.

I initially responded to a similar thread in the Safari forum - but determined this has nothing to do with Safari / Webkit as it affects all ocmmunication on the Mac to the sites in question. (Even ping fails.)
On my same network, a standalone XP machine with IE 8 connects instantly, as does an iPad (IOS 5.1). So, it is not a DNS issue or a network issue. It is only the Macs after the last round of Software Updates.
Out of ideas as to what to do to get access back on our Macs ...

Well, I think I have finally come up with a solution. It seems this issue happens when it auto locks. I turned auto lock to "never" in settings, and the issue has not happened since. Seems there may be a bug in this feature???
I now use manual lock, and upon awakening the wifi is now fully working.

Bank statement will not view/open. can view pages of bank web site fine

i am logged into one of my bank web sites... trying to view recent statement. i click their "view" button.. and nothing happens.
I'm able to view statements in all of our other bank web sites.
I called the bank.. they tested on their end. when logged in as me they are able to view statement. they suggested it may be my browser.

One option might be to change the way PDFs are opened from opening in a tab to launching outside the browser in Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat. To change this setting:

When I go to that link, download and then attempt to install I get the message "Webe encountered the following issues, Installer failed to initialize. Please down load Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem" I then select the link "get adobe support advisor" that takes me to a site that describes a better support link since the one I have been sent to is no longer available. I then go to that site and am told to go to CC for desktop apps, that requires me to download CC... I don't want CC.. just want to have my CS6 PS work again.... so frustrating...

I'd try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting-extensions-themes Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide ] and the [[Troubleshooting plugins]] article as well.
There is also some information in [[Firefox cannot load websites but other programs can]] and [[Cannot connect after upgrading Firefox]] that might be helpful as well.

Lost access to many, but not all web sites after last update: what to do?

On a Macbook pro, connecting via Orange broadband in the UK. suddenly only a few web sites could be accessed, even though email and skype worked fine.
I thought it was a MTU problem, so first tested with the info at this page:

following those instructions, setting the MTU to 1458 which would appear to be the UK recommended value, and also setting the wireless router to that value made it work!
Great, I thought. But then, wanting a permanent fix, I followed these instructions:

and checked the MTU after reboot! yes, it was still 1458.
But the problem had come back. I can only access google and some few other sites, not www.hp.com for example.
So I am at a loss.
I saw that at least one other person has complained about this problem on these forums...

Not quite sure what you mean here;
a) The DNS Lookup failed
b) The URL returns a blank page
Trace to www.hp.com using /Utilities/Network Utility/Trace tab
Does the URL resolve to an IP number OK, does the trace complete or fail ?

When my wife updated Firefox to version 7.0.1 she was no longer able to print items from the web such as coupons. She can print from her email (Cox) account.
She is running Vista.
When I updated to Firefox 7.0.1, I did not have a problem. I am running Vista also.
Tried using the Firefox help page but no help so far.
I did notice that on her computer in the "Plugins" for Firefox that HP Smart Web Printing is now disabled and is not compatible with Firefox 7.0.1. She had no problems until she did the update.

It played fine at my side too.
What version of flash you are using to create that swf?
Make sure you have compatible version of flash player for
your internet explorer.
Try update your flash player to the latest version.

Can't open bank web site

I tried to open bank web site but it gave me this massage

I change Safari Security to accept cookies always and firewall to allow all incoming connection but no use........ Any suggestion????

Flash site fails to display properly in firefox & ie.

site below fails to display properly. When i visit the link
below using firefox or ie6, i see it fine. but when anyone else
visits it they see it with defects.
defects include product text overlapping the fg&m logo,
ferrioni home designs, inc header is cut off and only part of it
displays, featured products headers is also cut off and only part
of it displays.

This is just a wild guess but... Be sure that you have
properly embedded any needed fonts for dynamic or input
text.

In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:
