BAPI returns always 0 record
Hello,
We created in SAP(SE37) two functions to provide records from table BAPIORDERS Table.
Both functions are RFC enabled.
The functions are called with .net connector 2.0 and visual studio 2003 Ver.7.1.3088. Also we use the patch available in OSS note 506603.
Calling of function 1 works fine. We get the correct record count and the according records.
Function 2 returns always 0 as record count and in according to this, no records.
The non table parameters are ok and there are no errors reported. The selection parameters are OK
Same result when we build a proxy with both or only one of the functions.
No others functions added to the proxy.
Thanks for help!
Two possible reason:
1. The function returns values, but they are not correctly unmarshalled. This could happen if something with the XML attributes is wrong.
2. The function doesn't return anything.
To find out if it's 1. or 2., you could use a network sniffer or turn on RFC trace. Check if there is the expected ammount of data is really returned. If 2. turns out to be the case, I recommend to use Abap-Debug feature to see if the paramter really arrive in the for as expected and why the function doesn't return anything.

Dg4odbc 11.2 to mysql desc table issue, query return only one record
<h2>Hi,
I have the following set up:
11g R2 RAC oracle database, dg4odbc 11.2, UnixODBC 2.3 driver manager, MySQL ODBC 5.1.7 Driver on 64 bit Suse SLES 11 server.
Remote database MySQL version 5.0.67 running on 32 bit linux server.
I am having the following Issues:
1. When desc table, sometimes only the first field is shown:
SQL> desc sub_index@mybilltracker;
Name Null? Type
subject_id NOT NULL NUMBER(20)
SQL> desc "sub_index"@mybilltracker;
Name Null? Type
subject_id NOT NULL NUMBER(20)
Some other times I am able to see the correct table definition:
SQL> desc "sub_index"@mybilltracker;
Name Null? Type
subject_id NOT NULL NUMBER(20)
sess_id NUMBER(10)
sess_yr NUMBER(10)
subject_name VARCHAR2(255)
SQL> desc sub_index@mybilltracker;
Name Null? Type
subject_id NOT NULL NUMBER(20)
2. Select count(*) returns the total number of rows correctly. Select * or Select "field name" from table returns only one row:
SQL> select count(*) from "mbt_user"@mybilltracker;
COUNT(*)
2
SQL> select "user_id", "email" from "mbt_user"@mybilltracker; _(always return only one record!)_
user_id email
1 [email protected]
Has anybody seen this? Can somebody help me pinpoint the problem? Thank you!

Oracle query returns every expected record twice
I have a query that at times could return a very large number of records, but I want to process them in blocks within a time budget, so I will process as many as I can within a time budget and then close the ResultSet. I looked at the two obvious ways to control how many rows I get back, using "ROWNUM <= N" and "setFetchSize()".
I think the latter is the more common way of doing this, but I noticed that it's considered a "hint". I think it's likely it would always be used, but because of that small doubt I decided to try using the "ROWNUM <= N" strategy first.
It seemed to be working fine, but I noticed an oddity where it was often returning all the relevant rows twice. I'd gotten the set of records to operate on down to a very small number (8), and I entered the query it uses directly into a SQL browser, and it returned the 8 records I expected. My query was using "ROWNUM <= 20". I stepped into the ResultSet "next()" loop, and I watched it process the 8 records, and then instead of returning "false" from the following call to "rs.next()", it returned true and started at the beginning of the 8 records again. It eventually processed all 8 records twice.
So, I just tried changing it from using "ROWNUM" to using "setFetchSize()". The results were exactly the same. It still processed all 8 records twice.
The query is very simple. It just looks like this, with most of the column names removed, and the table name changed:
SELECT ID, ... FROM TABLE_NAME tn WHERE tn.CREATION_DATE = ?
The somewhat elided code for the loop looks like this:
try {
rs = getRecords(connection);
// Indicates whether at least one row was found.
boolean foundOne = false;
while (rs.next()) {
foundOne = true;
final Record record = makeRecord(rs);
processRecord(record, counters);
++ recordsProcessed;
if (!foundOne) {
break;
if (overTimeBudget(startTime)) {
break;
logInfo("Processed " + recordsProcessed + " record" +
(recordsProcessed == 1 ? "" : "s") + " so far.");
What could be going wrong here?Never mind. Dumb mistake. It wasn't an Oracle problem. I was doing the query inside a loop because of an earlier design decision.

Is there any bapi returns dynamic value of reorder point and safety stock
Hi all,
Is there any bapi returns the runtime value of ROP and SS by passing changenr/objectid taken from CDPOS.
if exists please send me with code.
Thanks
PRR Rhi,
As far as i know is static means manual entry of reorder point.
The dynamic or automatic reorder point is used for Forecast based planning...
the sysstem wii automatically calculate the reoder point evrytime there is the forecast run.
So, it dependig on ur scenario , select either manual or automatic.
First entry for both is always manual entry....
hope u got this..

No BAPI return values in DELPHI
Hello,
I'm having a trouble receiving the result of a BAPI in Delphi.
When i test the business object BUS7011 inside SAP, the function CheckCollision returns two tables COLLISIONRECORDS and RETURN with several records each, but when i send the same data with a Delphi program using the DCOM BAPI OCX I get no result. No error either.
Any ideas what can be the problem?
I'm testing this to replace an old program that uses the Transaction OCX to simulate a batch input, this method doesn't seem to work anymore in ECC 6.0.
Thanks in advance, Gabriel
PD: I have also tested it using the SAPRFC test script, with the same results. EXTERNALRECORDS is OK but RETURN and COLLISIONRECORDS are empty
Message was edited by:
Gabriel RomanMy bad, the problem seems to be with authorizations. I was testing the BAPI with a dialog user and the Delphi program was using a "system" user. Those two had different authorizations. I added RFC authorization to the dialog user and used it with the Delphi program and it works as expected, now to find the missing role.

Return only one record at a time
I am new to crystal reports so any help would be appreciated. I have a .net app that is a order processing system. When the user is in a record, they want to be able to click on a button an open a crystal report showing only that orders details. I created a crystal report that has the following fields:
Order ID, Product ID, Unit Price, Sell Price, Hours.
The Order ID is the primary key in the database. The report runs fine when clicking the report button in the app, but returns the details for every order in the database. We just need the details of the order that the user is processing. How do I setup the report to only show that order's details? I am using VB 2005 and Crystal v9.
Edited by: sking on Mar 6, 2009 1:12 AMBrian,
Thank you for all your help. I have been able to setup the report to return only one record at a time. In my app, when I click the report button the PDF opens perfectly with only one record. However, when I go to another record and open the PDF it returns the information from the record id that was set as the default parameter value (crReportDocument.SetParameterValue("Orders", 67). How do I get it to return the report for a different record? Here is the code I'm using. I think I'm really close with your suggestions but I'm just missing one step.

Error in BAPI RETURN for Service Contract
Hi,
I get an error in the BAPI Return for the Uploading the Service Contracts by LSMW. The Error Message is E BS No status object is available for &.Also want to know can we upload multiple line of header text for a Contract by this BAPI. If so then how would I do this , as the BAPI structure BAPISDTEXT has textline upto 132 characters. And I am take only one file in LSMW where the header & details come alongwith text. Or could also tell me the file structure of for the data upload. The legacy system sends multiple text in the header for a Contract.For Eg.
Header1 Detail1 Text1
HEader1 Detail2 Text2
Header1 Detail3 Text3
So I would need this text1TEXT2text3 in the Header Text of the Contracts. Or do I need the change the file structure. Many thanks for your time and help.Thanks Nablan, I could do that for multiple header coming in file. But I have a question for you on BAdI ALM_ME_006_GOODSMVT. I have implemented this BAdI , and this BAdI is called by a function Module ALM_MEREP_006_CREATE. When I test this FM giving the Material , Orderid and Movement type entries, this BAdI is triggered when giving a breakpoint. I've given this code for changing the movement type to 961. Cause the stanadrd scenario does not maintain Movement type 961 in Mobile Asset Management. The Movement type 961 for unplanned Materials comes to SAP and changes to 261 as maiantained by TCOKO table. To bypass this & retain the movement type 961 in SAP I'm using this BAdI. Currently this is what I'm doing and am stuck in the method interface how do I call the method.

Xws-security returns always HTTP 200
Hi,
I am using libraries of JWSDP 2.0, jaxws and xws-security.
My web service was generated from a WSDL schema and works so
far fine. I need to secure the transportation with a xml signature.
For that I am using the xws libraries.
My problem is that xws-security and jaxws returns always HTTP 200. I
would expect a negative HTTP status code if the signature validation
fails, such as HTTP 401 or HTTP 500 or whatever.
Is this a bug or any idea what my problem might be ?
Thanks,

Oracle Forms returns the first record in the database when performing query
Once in a while when we query for a record on a form, say by first name Tom, then it returns the first record in the database. Other times it return the Tom's record. It only happens once in a while and if you close the form and reopen it and requery for Tom, then it brings Tom's record.
Does anyone know the issue what could be happening. It just happens every now and then that it's hard to reproduce.
ORacle Forms 10GR2
ORacle Application Server 10.1.3
thanksthen it returns the first record in the databaseI'm not sure if i understand you correctly. Do you mean forms ignores the searc-condition you entered? I would check SYSTEM.LAST_QUERY at the moment this happens to check if the condition gets somehow lost.

Linked btn for AR invoice returnes "no matching record found AR inv. OINV"
hi all,
linked button (see the code bellow) upon click returns "no matching record found AR invoice OINV" error message. If I cut & paste the number into AR Invoice FORM, invoice 'opens' without any problems.
Please help
oUserDataSource= oForm.DataSources.UserDataSources.Add("DocNum",SAPbouiCOM.BoDataType.dt_SHORT_TEXT,100);
oColumn = oColumns.Item("DocNum");
oColumn.DataBind.SetBound(true,"","DocNum");
oLink=(LinkedButton)oColumn.ExtendedObject;
oLink.LinkedObject=SAPbouiCOM.BoLinkedObject.lf_Invoice;Hi Oleksiy,
If I'm not mistaken, linking of documents works on the DocEntry rather than the DocNum. Just try it in your code so we can see if it works.
oUserDataSource= oForm.DataSources.UserDataSources.Add("DocEntry",SAPbouiCOM.BoDataType.dt_SHORT_TEXT,100);
oColumn = oColumns.Item("DocEntry");
oColumn.DataBind.SetBound(true,"","DocEntry");
oLink=(LinkedButton)oColumn.ExtendedObject;
oLink.LinkedObject=SAPbouiCOM.BoLinkedObject.lf_Invoice;
DocEntry is the primary key and not DocNum. I know this isn't ideal, but I don't know if it is possible otherwise. If you have (for example) a choose from list on the same field, you should change the CFL to return the DocEntry rather than the DocNum.
Hope it helps,

}Hi,
Two possible reasons:
1. The size of the search results returned would have been controlled by the directory services administrator (Cross- check with the dir. services administrative options.
2. Have you set the size limit programatically... using SearchControls.setSizeLimit(...) you should be using
SearchControls.setSizeLimit(0) which returns all the results.
Hope this hleps,

Hi all,
I am working on an SOAP to RFC scenario:
I am able to execute the scenario. I am testing it using SOAP test tool.But i am facing a problem. when we give valid inputs to the BAPi, the BAPI return structure returns correct values, which is mapped to the response msg and the response is also fine, in the testing tool.
But when i give non-valid values to the BAPI, the BAPI returns an error msg like "partner does not exist" and for some reason i am not able to see this msg in my response msg, instead i get an "XI Exception error in my
testing tool display. How can i achieve, the BAPI return value to be displayed in my response msg for invalid values?
Thanks in advanceHi,
I had also faced the same problem in one of my scenarios. What you can do is, you can check the length of the parameter returned by BAPI. If it is zero, it means that non valid value has been passed to BAPI. In this case you have to map some constant to the target field during mapping.
If the length is not zero, you can map it as it is.
For finding the length of the field, you can use the standard text function: length. Hope this helps.

Divija.
