Barter Purchase
Dear All,
We are having a scenario wherein when we purchase a product, payment is not done in cash instead any service is given to the supplier for similar value and as per mutual agreement, there is no financial transaction.
We are thinking to map the scenario through clearing of vendor and customer so that there is no exchange of cash.
PO can be linked to sales order with Item category S to track the clearing of vendor and customer.
Is there any better solution to map the scenario in the system. We need to capture agreement terms in the Contract.

Can you elaborate on the kind of service and products are mutually agreed upon. what is the terms like rate of products and services.
e.g. Vendor send product A- x pcs how much services need to offer and what kind.
On Solution -
Other solution I can think of entering the info record on some assumed currency (not real) and do the transaction of purchasing product and giving service in that currency.
take currency like - CAM (any arbitrary).
enter the rate like Product A - 1 Pcs cost 1 CAM
Service Y - 1 Unit - Cost 1 CAM.
Your below idea also looks good -

Install OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard on MacBook Pro problems
Hi all,
About early November, I upgraded my MacBook Pro (Mid 2009) but failed to restart it. The spin sign stayed there for a very long time and nothing happened more.
So I decided to reinstall the OS X 10.6 with a CD ordered from Apple with the MacBook Pro, but the installation stopped and reported failure after a few minutes. Then, I tried to format the hard disk (Toshiba 250G), but it reported either "Input/output error" or "Could not allocate memory". I thought my hard disk may be broken, I bought a new one (Hitachi 750G) but still can not format the disk with same errors.
After search related topic in the community, I took the internal hard disk out and mount on my Desktop (Mac Pro, OS X 10.5.8) through USB port, I could format both the hard disks (Toshiba 250G & Hitachi 750G). I followed one instruction about "Installing Snow Leopard onto an External Hard Drive" (Dan Hinckley, Maciverse) and installed the OS X 10.6 on one hard disk (Hitachi 750G) through my Desktop Optical Driver (Booted on the DVD).
I mounted the hard disk (Hitachi 750G) on my MacBook Pro and could run the system. Then I decided to move this external hard disk into my MacBook Pro as an internal hard disk, however, when the MacBook Pro started, it showed a STOP sign (one circle with an oblique line) and several quick flashes of Apple icon, then reported some error messages like below (I list some of them),
"Panic CPU0 Caller", "Unable to find driver for this platform", "SourceCache Debugger Called", etc.
What shall I do next,
1 Install the OS X 10.6 one more time when the hard disk (Hitachi 750G) inside my MacBook Pro, booting from DVD through Optical Driver.
2 Get the hard disk (Hitachi 750G) out and mount as USB external again and update to higher version of OS X (but which version?).
3 Other suggestions?

BartI purchased a Macbook Pro on Nov 2 2011 which was pre-installed with Lion and I'm trying to install Snow Leopard on it. It won't recognise my SL Install Disc at all and just hangs so I wiped the drive and attempted to start up from a bootable SL memory stick. I got an audible alarm from the Macbook Pro which would only stop when I restarted the computer. I had to re-install Lion from a Time Machine back up via the internal recovery disk. I'm pretty sure that late 2011 MBP will not take SL but I'm waiting for a Firewire 400 to 800 cable to arrive so I can try to wipe the internal drive entirely and install via Target Disk mode. I'm not hopeful but I gotta try as I need Snow Leopard to run Pro Tools and other programs. If only I'd bought it before October 24th this wouldn't be happening!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone knows what is the Error ID 30242! I can buy any App on Appworld but the in app purchasing does not work! i can sign in with my. BB ID and i'd receive everytime the same Error Message! Who can help?????

Pre purchase checks on refurbished
Currently looking at a MBP 2.66 GHz 15" with express 34 slot. I think that makes it an early 2009, Right? The machine is in an authorised reseller store in malaysia and ill be taking it back to Australia, so want to do as much homework and product checking before purchase.
The store claims it is refurbished but when i had a quick first look, the box they brought out was the smaller briefcase sized with seal broken. the MBP itself had its plastic sleeve seal broken and dirt/smudge fingerprints on the unibody casing.
I realise all this could be from showing the unit to a previous potential customer. But how can i tell if this unit is a genuine Certified Apple Refurbished unit and not just a shop repaired and reboxed unit.
Does a refurbished unit have the prefix RM in its serial number? didnt get the units serial number yet.
What sort of things should i be checking before purchase and travel from malaysia back to Australia?$2400 AUS dollars. Plus in Malaysia can barter/bargain for access thrown in.
Have not seen any 2.66 refurbs on Australian site yet and ive been checking almost everyday since the new models (without express 34 in 15 incher) came out. the 2.4 GHz previous model refurb is not on there at moment either. Brand new 15" 2.66 (without the express 34 i need) is $3200 Australian.

Basically, it goes thru each record and depending on the due date places the amounts in the following buckets (example). 0-30 day Overdue, 31-60 days Overdue, 61-90 days overdue, 30+ days overdue, 60+ days overdue) etc all the way to 6+ years overdue.
There are also cooresponding buckets for coming due analysis. For example, what is: 0-30 days coming due, 31-60 days coming due, 30+ days coming due, etc...
To do this, first I needed to be able be able to produce an open items statement at any given time in the past. Now, this seems impossible because of how the items go from open to cleared all the time. And an item that was open one month ago, may not be open anymore.
What I did was first remove any selections on item status. Then compare the posting date with teh key date in the past, if the posting date is less than or equal to the key date, keep the record.
Then compare the clearing date with the key date. First, keep all that are #. (This keeps all records still open from that posting date/key date)
Then, add another check for all items that were cleared after the key date (GT Key Date). This gives you the open items on that date.

Can I purchase Creative Cloud subscriptions for longer than one year at a time?
I work in the design department of a large business, currently using Creative Suite 6 (Design Standard edition, which includes PS and AI).
I'd like to get the some of the new CC features, but my manager won't commit to a turnkey month-to-month or even annual rental of Creative Cloud apps (it's a pain for our department's purchaser to have to do orders more than once a year). That said, if they could take care of, say, two years at once, I might get the software. Is this an option? I'm one of only a few folks who use Adobe software (it's not a design business; we're just part of a small design department, and all software purchases need to go through this person, after which they're reimbursed). I'm not interested in any of the extra storage or central administration options that come with the higher priced business subscription.

Can my family members share our purchases on separate computers with separate accounts?
We have several apple products in our home and a new one today. Is it possible to use these products on different computers sharing all of our purhcases or do we need to stay on one computer on one account? I know we can do that with the home sharing, but we don't all want all the same things, just some of the purchases.
Use Find My Friends app instead. Much easier to manage, and you won't need each other's id/pw's to do it. They only need to accept your invitations and vice versa.

How do I use one account to share purchases with my family
I have an iPod, iPad, and my 2 kids each have an iPod. My oldest now has his own apple I'd so he can iMessage and FaceTime friends. How do I link his to the rest of ours so that we can still share our apps and music purchases? I had previously set up all of the devices under my I'd , since they weren't old enough to have their own. When we try to change the setting to automatic downloads, it states that "the device is already associated with an apple I'd", it then goes on to say that is i turn on the auto downloads with this new I'd that I cannot auto download or download past purchases with a different apple I'd for 90 days. Nothing I have purchased will sync to my ipod for some reason. I bought them ages ago, they work fine in itunes on my computer, and up until recently they worked fine on my ipod also... I think it related to the fact that due to a fault with vista i was forced to 'reactivate' windows. But it was reactivated using the same key that came with the computer? weird

A movie I purchased in the iTunes store is missing. It isn't hidden and doesn't show up in search. I've followed support steps. Where is it and how do I find it? I believe I originally purchased the film on my 1st Gen AppleTV...other movies show up. Help.
It was Love Actually. It's been in my library a few years but is now missing. It's odd...it isn't even in the iTunes Store anymore. I think there is a rights issue because a message appeared in the store saying it wasn't available at this time in the U. S. store. Still, if I bought it years ago it should be in my library or I should get a refund....

I have a laptop that has (or had) pretty much all of my music, both burned from CDs and downloaded from iTunes. My 17 year old son on occasion syncs his iPhone and iPad with this laptop. As of the last sync (as best I can determine), many songs that I purchased in the past few years are now missing, in that they have an exclamation point to the left of the song title, and when I try to play the song, I get an error message that says "The song could not be used because the original file could not be found" or something to that effect. As it turns out, the file seems to be erased. This has happened multiple times, and I could be wrong, but I believe that there are some songs that had the exclmation point last time he synced that now don't, and vice-versa. There is not an obvious correlation or grouping as to why these songs are missing (e.g,. they were not all purchased on the same date, not all songs from one artist are missing, etc.).
Since most of these songs have been purchased through iTunes through my account, my reaction was to go to the iTunes store, log in with my account, and re-download them. Problem is, all of these songs instead ask me to purchase the song, instead of displaying a "cloud" logo. Therefore, it appears that I have to re-purchase these songs, which does not sound correct.
Questions: Does anyone know, most importantly (to get an immediate fix):
1. How can I re-download these songs and why doesn't iTunes Store recognize that I have already purchased them?
and perhaps as important (more of a long-term question):
2. Why does this happen and how can I prevent this from happening again (since it has happened multiple times)?
Thanks.1. iTunes won't offer cloud downloads for songs that it "thinks" are in your library, even if it "knows" the files are missing. If you've exhaustively searched for the missing files and there is no prospect of repair by restoring to them to their original locations, or connecting to new ones, then delete that tracks that display both the missing exclamation mark and are of media kind Purchased/Protected AAC audio file. Don't hide from iTunes in the cloud when asked, close iTunes, then reopen. You can download from the cloud links or iTunes Store > Quicklinks > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer > All songs > Download all.
2. Why? Not sure, perhaps 3rd party tools or accidental key presses combined with previously hidden warning messages when trying to organize the library. There is a hint that using the feature to downsample media as it is synced to a device may also be involved, though I've not replicated it. Whatever the reason a backup would protect your media.

I have an imac that is running lion and an Apple TV generation 2. I have rented a movie from itunes and it shows up on my imac in Itunes under a rental icon, and will play fine on my computer. However, it does not show up as choice to play on my apple tv. I have homesharing enabled and everything else works fine including purchased movies that are on my imac, but no where does it show rental movies.
What do I look for? What do I do to play the rental movie on my apple tv 2?Answer to my own question:
Wait until the downloaded rental has completed its download to the imac. This took a long time for me, since it was part of several things that I was downloading at the same time.
Finally, it showed up on my apple tv. Interestingly, I was able to watch much of the movie on my iMac before the movie finished its download and was available to the ATV 2. -
Purchased itunes do not show up on ipod
I can purchase music from itunes but when I transfer music to my ipod (5th gen) they are not on the ipod. I can upload music from cds and they transfer fine. I tried reseting but that did not help. Now what?

Try going to advanced-->deauthorize computer (in iTunes). Then play a purchased song. Enter your account info. Play a few songs for a few seconds. Update your iPod with iTunes. Do the songs transfer?
