Batch change color of existing highlights in a PDF (Acrobat X Pro)

I'm trying to find a script or action that will batch change the color of some existing text highlights in a PDF.  The document shows the text being highlighted, but the highlight color is extremely light such that it is visable only with unnecessary effort.  Idealy, I'd like to create a script or action that would identify all of the highlights in the document and change their color to a more standard and visable yellow instead of the washed-out and barely visable yellow I have now.
Thanks!
Edit:  I'm using Acrobat X Pro in Windows.

You can do this with JavaScript. Note that it could be a problem with the color or the opacity setting, or both. For more information, see:

  • How do I Batch change color profiles in CS4?

    I need to change color profiles on hundreds of photos at a time. CS4 does not give me that option it seems, only lame options i'll never use

    Probably easiest would be recording an Action of a conversion and running that with File – Scripts – Image Processor; Batch or Droplets are other ways of using an Action.
    Scripting would be another option.
    Which options exactly do You mean with »lame options«?

  • Batch Convert InDesign Files to PDF: Acrobat 9 Pro Opens CS3

    A question came up in the InDesign forum about batch converting InDesign files. I've never really needed to do it but I was aware of the batch convert command. The OP reported errors so I tried it myself and while it worked, for some reason Acrobat 9 Pro is opening InDesign CS3 even though I have CS4 and CS5 installed.
    I can't seem to find any way to change the default for INDD files. I tried launching ID CS5 first, but Acrobat still launched ID CS3. If I double click an INDD file in Windows Explorer, it opens in CS5 so the operating system has the default correct.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Bob

    Thanks,
    I just found that out, too.
    What I'd like to find out is how to fix this.

  • Fireworks cs4 batch change color in jpegs?

    Is it possible to use fireworks cs4 batch command to change the same background color on multiple jpegs?
    Thanks in advance,
    Carl

    Hey... solved it! Changed the background color in almost 2,000 jpegs. Heres how:
    Photoshop CS4, first define a color in an AXT file:
    Open test image, image, adjustments, replace color. use eye dropper to sample the background color, bring hue, saturation, and lightness bars all the way to the right (background color now turnd white), click save (save the definition AXT file, you will need to reference it later).
    Now create a new action called "replace color", have test image open (with original background that you want to change), start record and do this to record the action:
    Image, adjustments, replace color. Click load and select the AXT file, click load (the background color now turns white with the loaded AXT definition). Click ok. save file. Stop record action.
    Now run a batch command and use that action you just recorded: File, automate, batch, select your new action in the play section, select the folder of files to process and the destination... click ok to run the batch.
    I changed the "background" color in 2,000 estore product images of various sizes (thumbnail, medium, and large sizes) in about 15 minutes. Wow! I knew there had to be a way.
    Hope it helps lots of people, 'cause it sure is a common need.
    Cheers,
    Carl

  • Changing colors of shadow/highlight

    How can I achieve this effect? I assume it has to do with the shadows and highlights...anyone have any tutorials on how to do this?

    Highlights and Shadows are not the right tool for this it is better done with curves or levels as far as the two colors in AI this is easy just a color filled rectangle path for the background and the grayscale on top and select the grayscale image then a color, don't like that color then change the color and then again and again.
    Not so simple in Photoshop so in this case they might want to do this in AI then bring the AI file as a smart object into Photoshop  that way all the user has to do is click on the smart object change the color in AI save and back to Photoshop with the update.
    So here they have the best of both. But keep in I would in this case the grayscale colored file without the background color filled path which I would do on a separate layer in Photoshop so the colors can be control separately for the back ground and colored image.

  • How do I change the font size and color in a text box in Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro (ctrl e does not work)?

    I need to mark up scanned pdf documents with text box comments. I can insert the text box and type text but I cannot change the font or color. When I press Crtl E, no tool bar appears in the menu bar. What does appear in the menu bar is "No current selection". Please advise.

    I am already doing that: creating the text box, typing the text, selecting the text i.e. highlighting the text. This morning, for a scant minute, the properties tool bar appeared and I was able to refine the text in a text box. Then it disappeared never to be activated again this morning.
    I work half of my weekly hours at this client office and I only have this problem on their pc and adobe software (version 9 pro). When I am home, my laptop and the adobe software (version 10 pro) is fine. I can create the text boxes and refine the format at will with no issues. Could it be a software version and/or update issue? Thanks for any assistance.

  • Putting the color settings back to default settings in Acrobat 9 Pro

    Hi there,
    I installed a new color laser, and all of the colors were coming out dull. I went to the advanced settings on the print menu and clicked something, and the window allowing you to adjust the brightness / contrast / saturation, etc.. came up. I tried making things less bright, and that didn't work.
    Anyway, make a long story short, turns out it was a driver problem. I fixed that problem, but now the colors are too dark. The problem is, I can't get back to the same window that lets me make those adjustments. How do I get back there, or, in the alternative, just completely reset acrobat? Thanks!!

    Actually Graffiti it might be able to be done via 'touchup tool' without creating a new PDF. Assuming of course a photo editor like Photoshop is present.
    To the OP: Acrobat is intended as final destination format and not really suitable for editing (although minor changes can be made with the full Acrobat product). It's always best to do the changes to the original document and then make a new PDF making sure you acknowledge proper version control procedures. Changing the PDF means that you now have a PDF that doesn't match the original document.

  • Can I find out what (if any) pantone colors were used when creating a PDF I received (Pro X)?

    I am being asked to get a quote for a piece that looks to be two color but all I have is what they are telling me is the print ready PDF and they don't know how it was built.  I have tried properties, prepare for..., etc and I can't find anything that will tell me the color makeup in the document?  Is this possible with Acrobat Pro X?

    Tools Pane > Print Production > Ink Manager (or Convert Colors and look on the right side)

  • How can I make a comment tool, such as Line or Highlight, stay active in Acrobat X Pro?

    They used to stay active in Acrobat 8 Standard. I found instructions for setting a tool to remain active for Acrobat 9 but not for X Pro.

    Looks like there's no support for audio line in on the headphone jack.

    However, if you have a mike with a USB connection you will be able to input through that.

  • Can I change the size of just one page in acrobat 9 pro?

    Hi,
    I have acrobat 9 pro. (I think it's great.) I would like the first page to be 57% and the other 63 pages to be 100%. Is that possible?
    Thanks in advance,
    Kidd in Paris

    There is no way I know of to do this directly.
    You could always create a PDF of the cover only at a smaller size (65% of the original size) and insert it.
    The only issue there is if they print it, the cover will also print at 65%...

  • Changing the hightlight color for all existing highlighted text

    Is there a quick way to change the hightlight color of all existing highlighted text in a document? Thanks.

    Never mind I found it. Open the Comment panel, select all existing comments, right-click and select Properties, change to your desired setting, click OK.

  • I need help highlighting an expiration date on my Numbers '09 spreadsheet. I want the text/fill of a cell to change color when the expiration date of an item is within 180 days of the current date.

    I need help highlighting cells on my Numbers '09 spreadsheet.  I want the cell text/fill to change color when the date is 180 days or less from the current date.  I already have a cell with the current date in it.  I also know how to change the fill/text colors.  All the cells have been formatted to show date only.  I am having trouble with the formula.  I can get to the Conditional Formatting menu and select "With Dates" but after that I am lost.  Can anyone help?
    Thank you for any assistance.
    B

    Set a Conditional Format rule as shown in the illustration below. The rule has been applied to all dates in column B of the table.

  • How to change the color of text highlight

    I'm trying to select and highlight certain text in the PDF. Here's my sample code. I want to change the color of the highlighted text. Something similar to what the Highlight Text tool does in acrobat.
    HiliteEntry hilite;
    hilite.offset = 10;  //Highlight the tenth word
    AVDoc currentAVDoc = AVAppGetActiveDoc();
    PDDoc currentPDDoc = AVDocGetPDDoc(currentAVDoc);
    AVPageView currentPageView = AVDocGetPageView(currentAVDoc);
    ASInt32 pageNum = AVPageViewGetPageNum(currentPageView);
    PDColorValueRec red;
    red.space = PDDeviceRGB;
    red.value[0] = ASInt32ToFixed(1);
    red.value[1] = 0;
    red.value[2] = 0;
    // highlight
    AVPageViewSetColor(currentPageView, &red);
    PDPage pdPage = PDDocAcquirePage (currentPDDoc, pageNum);
    PDTextSelect textSelection = PDTextSelectCreateWordHilite(pdPage,&hilite, 1);
    AVDocSetSelection(currentAVDoc, ASAtomFromString("Text"),(void *)textSelection, true);
    AVPageViewDrawNow(currentPageView);
    AVDocShowSelection (currentAVDoc);
    PDPageRelease (pdPage);
    If this is not possible, at least can I change the font color or underline the text?
    Appreciate any help!

    Thanks a lot for the help so far. So I was successfully able to crate a highlight annotation from text selection. Here's my code, if anyone else get similar questions.
    Only one more question. in my highlight annotation, I get two rounded half circles from the left and right sides. Not sure why?

  • How do I change the color of the highlight when hovering over answers in the quiz?

    Hi
    I am trying to change the color of the highlight when hovering over answers in the quiz.  My companies standard font color is grey and so is the highlight when i hover answers.
    Is it possible to change this?
    Thanks
    Charlene

    No, it is (still) not possible to change that hover color, not even in CP8.0.1. I recommend to enter a feature request: Adobe - Feature Request/Bug Report Form
