Batch change status of assets - REVISITED

I'm trying to crack this: user selects multiple assets and changes the status of these assets with a few mouse clicks. In general batch processing of user selected assets.
Because the 'filter' in this case is done by user interaction, I can't find a way to set an asset filter in the usual way.
I've read about attempts to create a production and work from there, but these attempts failed because it's difficult to change assets metadata based on production metadata.
However, when an asset is dragged into production X, there is a flag in the metadata of the asset, stating that this asset is now linked to production X. This information is visible in the info screen of the asset under the heading 'Resources': "This asset is linked to".
"This asset is linked to" is part of Metadata Group PRODUCTIONRESOURCELIST.
So if we could add this field into the Asset Filter for subscriptions we could fire off responses when 'Trigger if changed' is ticked on this field.
Production X would work as a sort of dropbox to do X, etc.
Would this be feasable?

I guess my real question is:
I couldn't add this particular piece of metadata ('This asset is linked to') as another parameter in the asset filter.
Is there someone who could help me with this?

Changing AUC Status on Asset Class

Hi Gurus,
We’ve have a few asset classes in our production system where the “line item settlement” has been selected, however, these asset classes are not AUC. These asset classes are not very ‘active’ and not many transactions occur in these classes throughout the year but we’ve come across some scenarios where we’ve tried to acquire assets through these classes using transaction type 153 (affiliated company, gross) and we’re getting error message because these asset classes are incorrectly categorized as line item settlement (i.e. open item managed) so we have made the decision to correct these classes and change the AUC status to “No AUC or summary management of AUC” in OAOA.
My question is in your experience have you’ve ever come across similar situation, what should I be testing or what processes I should follow to make sure the existing assets in these asset classes are not negatively impacted.
Any recommendation or thought would be much appreciated.

Hi,
if you don't have transaction do the changes if you have transaction it's quite diffcult to change status however we can do the table level change it works.
do the changes in Development client and test it.

Batch change - Email generation

Hello Gurus,
I have a requirement related to batch change (MSC2N). Whenever a user changes batch characteristics on classification tab and hits the save button, an email needs to be generated to a mailing list. This is not required for all the changes though, for example, if there are batch characteristics from A through E, report only when a batch characteristic is changed from B to E and C to E.
Is there a user exit for MSC2n where in I can code this functionality? Please help me, and Thanks a lot in advance.

Batch change user exit

Does any one know what user exit to use when a batch is changed MSC2N. Ideally I would like to write some code when the Usage Decision in the classification view is changed in MSC2N, but if thats not possible, I dont mind using a user exit for batch change. Thanks

How can I batch change the view options of multiple playlists?

I would like to select multiple playlists and batch change their view options; seems like an obvious feature that should be there, but it does not seem to be there. I know of Assimilate View Options v2.2 in Doug's AppleScripts, but this is not what I want, since AWO requires you to do the change playlist by playlist, i.e., not in batch mode (and I have hundreds of playlists ...). URGENT: Changing status at Header level in Service Ticket in Webclient

I am changing status for service ticket in webclient at Header level.
But at item level system status is not changing.
Is there any config in CRM where user status or system status is copied from header to item level
Basically need is to trigger item status when header status is trigerred....
Can anyone help me in resolving this issue.

probably you need to create user status profile.
Use TA BS02 to create status profile
here you have to add authorization key which needs to be defined in BS52
use b_user_stat auth object to give profiles in custom roles in PFCG
Thus you can block access to change status

How to batch change a date in aperture

Is it possible to batch change a date in aperture the way I do it in iphoto (command option B)? I dont want relative dates, I want a group of scanned pictures (negatives) to have the same date, but separated by one second.

Aperture does not support this. I wrote a little Apple Script to adjust the data and time like iPhoto and posted it on my web page. You may have a look and take this as a starting point. I wrote the script last year; so it has only been tested with Aperture 3.2.4 and Lion, not with the current version: The script is here: Adjust Date and Time in fixed increments
But no guarantees given for the current Aperture version 3.4.3.

Automatic transfer to new cost center is not possible.
You need to use Distribution or assessment to re allocate the expenses to new cost center.

Changing Status of preceeding document in CHARM

Hi Experts ,
I need to change the status of a preceeding document in CHARM.
I created a YDAD document from YDCR.
When i change status of YDAD to cancelled i need to change status of YDCR to Cancelled.
Steps i followed :
1 . While changing status of YDAD to cancelled i added a new parameter PREDOC_STATUS and given status of YDCR as E0009.
2. In "Assign actions" for status "cancelled" of YDAD i hve given a action SET_PREDOC .
3.In "Specify Status Attributes" for status "cancelled" of YDAD i hve given YDCR YDCRHEAD E0009.
But still it is not working . Please help me on this .

Batch changing Word docs to Pages

I've been using Word for years, now converting to Pages. In searching for a way to quickly convert all my documents to Pages, I've read posts here and found only advice for handling things one at a time -- though I may have missed a post. But I have found a possible answer, yet not sure of the consequences, so please advise. If you
1. Click on a document and click on "more info"
2. Open with option - select Pages. Just below this line are the words, "Use this application to open all documents like this, and the option button, "Change All..."
So I pick an unimportant file and do this, and receive the message after pressing "Change All":
"Are you sure you want to change all your Microsoft Word documents to open with the application 'Pages'? This change will apply to all Microsoft Word documents with type W8BN."
One, I don't have any clue what documents will be included because of the "W8BN," because this is a designation I've never heard of, don't know how it is assigned. It is very specific to whether the document is all text, or who authored it, or does it literally refer to all current Word documents made with the version of Word I have (Microsoft Word X)?
Until I know this, and the consequences of pressing "Change All," I won't do this. But if this is a truly simple and non-destructive way to batch change, how wonderful!
To further complicate matters, I need this question answered for Leopard AND Tiger, as my husband is one and I am on the other....

I have downloaded your ForPages:batchWord2Pages.zip to try and convert a group of Word files to Pages. As the script asks, I have saved it as an application bundle. When I drop a folder (or a group of files) onto the saved application bundle Pages opens but then my system gets stuck in a loop. The computer makes a rapid 'bonging' noise (the sort it makes if you click a button by mistake) and then nothing else will work. I cannot force quit anything or use activity monitor to close any tasks. All I can do is hold the power switch to make the computer switch off.
I have tried this on both my iMac & Mac Book Pro. Both run 10.5.2 and Pages 3.0.2. The same thing happens on both machines.
Is there something else I need to set in the script before I save it as an application bundle?

How to batch change year only?

I would like to batch change the year only (leaving all other metadata, to include day and time, the same. In a recent 5 day shoot I have discovered that my camera was set on 2013 rather than 2014. Is this possible? The date, to include year, does not seem to be an option under metadata batch change. If I select all the photos and then change the year, it seems that all of them will also be set to the exact same day and time. I am looking for an option other than changing the year on each one separately. Thanks!

The small print! (in the dialog to change the date/time). It says: 'The original date and time of the primary selection is shown below. Adjust it to the correct time and all selected versions will be time-shifted accordingly".
What it means is based on the time difference you give it for the primary image, it will apply the same difference (time-shift) to all the others.

        As you know, we can use T-code "CS20" to batch change a component's quantity in different Bom by a factor.
       for example: Component a in Fert. A, quantity change from 6g x 0.9 = 5.4g
                           Component a in Fert. B, quantity change from 8g x 0.9 = 7.2g
       now, my question is how to Batch change the standard value in routing. (select by work center) CA85N can select the value, but seems can not batch change by a factor,

It is not a big task for u prasobh...Just play in CEWB for 5-10 mins you will understand everything....
