Batch printing - page format issue

I am creating a smartform in a batch job and sending it to various printers throughout our company.  The form is going to the printer but it attempts to print in the A4 (DINA4) page format.  I have the smartform set to print (under the Form Attributes -> Output options tab) in Letter format though.
I am passing output_options to the smartform FM.  The field that I am setting is the printer (output_options-tddest).  output_options is of type ssfcompop.  I would imagine that page format would be a field in that structure but I can't find it.  Do you know of any other way to change the page format in a batch job  via ABAP code?
Thanks,
Davis

The field in the ABAP code is output_options-tddest (that gets filled with the 4 character printer code) and the following:
  output_options-tdimmed = 'X'.  "Print immediatly
  output_options-tddelete = 'X'.   "Delete after printing
In the Smartform I went to the Form Atributes page and selected the page format on the output options tab.  Then when I created the batch job in SM36 I added a step (an ABAP program) and assigned a printer to that step.

Davis

  • Microsoft Project 2013 Reports Print Page Setup Issue

    Hi Guys,
I'm trying to print multiple reports together, is there any way i can setup the print page setup ( headers and footers ) so that i don't have to set it up for each report?
another issue i'm having is also say i set a print page setup( header and footer) for a specific report, then i change to a different report, then when i go back to the first report to print again the page setup settings is gone!
any help would be much apprecaited

    Hi Reza,
This should be possible if you have applied headers and footers to a non-enterprise view, such as the Gantt Chart view, resource sheet view etc. In this manner we can retain the Header and Footer information in the project after
saving and closing it. (The header and footer information will be available only from the view in which you have applied it)
Hence, if we have customized the Header and Footer in the Gantt Chart view, you will be able to view the same in Resource Usage view.

  • Page format issues

My wife has typed in 200 some pages of recipes in to a template with master pages like a cookbook formatted to 8.5 x 11" pages.  Now she wants to have them landscape 5.5 x 8.5 pages.  Is there a way with out changing each page individually?
    Publisher 2003
    Windows 7

You could try the 'booklet' or 'folder card' page layout options. Alternatively, you could change your printer setup to print two pages per sheet.

  • I can't batch print to any printer on any of my iMacs

I have 5 iMacs 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo,  4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, on 10.10.2 Yosemite. Before this week, I could open a PDF file, select any amount, 1-1000, drag into my print queue and all my files print, in correct format, on my printers. I use this method of printing throughout each day for my work. I have files of over 500 PDF drawings that I need in some cases. Opening each file up and going through the printer process like that is way too tedious and pointless imo. Please don't offer me an app that can do this for me, Adobe Reader has worked flawlessly up till now. Now, after I send my PDF's to queue, my printers start spooling up, then I get this message: cgpdftops quit unexpectedly. I have NEVER seen this error. I have been able to batch print with no issues at all for the past 2-3 years. It makes no sense that all of a sudden, it stops working.
I have already done the following:
    1. Reinstalled all printers and drivers.
    2. Restarted all iMacs after reinstallation
    3. Updated Adobe Reader and Java SE6
    4. I have spent 45 mins on the phone with Apple Care Customer Support.
    5. I have booted into Safe Mode and managed to batch print PDF's of a web page I saved, as the Apple Care rep told me to do, but NOT PDF's from Adobe Reader. Why she thought saving a web page as a PDF was the same as what I do for work, I have no clue, but her method didn't solve a single thing.
All of my PDF's come through in Adobe Reader. That is how all the GC's send me ll of my drawings and plans. If anyone can please provide some insight for me on how to get this issue fixed, that would be greatly appreciated.
The 3 main printers I am attempting to print to are:
    1. OKI C6100 in Standard 8.5 x 11 Letter
    2. HP LaserJet Pro 200 in Standard 8.5 x 11 Letter
    3. Oce Plotwave 350 in 18" x 24" Arch C Wide Format

  • UML Class diagrams: Printing and formatting

I really like the UML capabilities of NetBeans 5.5. In particular, I like the ability to create a "centered" dependency class diagram by right-clicking on a class and selecting "Generate Dependency Diagram."
However, I am having trouble with some basic printing and formatting issues. I am hoping that I'm just being stupid, but I haven't been able to find documentation on how to fix this. I am using Red Hat Enterprise (3.4.6-3).
I recently reverse engineered an 800 class project, and it didn't take too long. Less than a minute, probably.
    1. Can't get a landscape printout. Fiddle with Page Setup and Print menu items, set to landscape, but almost always get a portrait mode printout. Why?
    2. The arrowheads are frightfully small. How do you make them bigger?
    3. How can you globally set a preference to only show public attributes and operations for all classes?
    Thanks for the help.
    Dave Godbey

Good to hear your feedback. Thanks.
#1. there's a known bug on printing to landscape mode. However, the following workaround should print you a landscape diagram.
    - from the diagram window toolbar, click on the Print Preview button
    - from the Print Preview dialog, click on Print Setup
    - from the Print Setup dialog, click on Page Setup at the bottom left
    - from the Page Setup dialog, toggle the Landscape orientation radio button
    - press the OK button on the Page Setup and Print Setup dialogs: Your print preview should now be displayed in landscape orientation
    - now click on the Print button from the Print Preview dialog to print
#2. I believe your diagram must be big so that the arrowheads are displayed small. Currently I don't see a way to make them bigger. Sorry for the inconvenience. I can file an enhancement on this for you or you can file one for yourself too thru the following URL.
    http://uml.netbeans.org/issues/enter_bug.cgi?component=uml
#3. As for global preference to show only specific attributes or operations, there's an enhancement bug already, but the current version of the tool doesn't have this preference setting.

  • "Output could not be issued" when using custom page formats

    Dear all,
I created a custom page format using SPAD. Its dimension is 7.5cm x 10cm (190mm x 254mm). I also created this page format in windows and set as the default paper size in my printer. However, when trying to print a smartform using this size, the message "Output could not be issued" is given. When I use the standard paper sizes (e.g., LETTER, DINA4), the form prints OK.
Can you point me to the direction to solving this?
    Thank you!
    Kyle

    Issue resoved.
For those who are encountering the same problem, here's what I did. I tested the smartform by itself and it reported the specific error: the page format is not supported in device type SWIN. I added it in another device type SAPWIN. This was just a simple miscommunication between the admins and the developer. I added the format in SWIN and everything works fine.

  • Printing Problem in New Page Format

    Hi Everybody,
I have an issue lying  long time in my Company.
Abap person asked me to create a new page format with new page sizing and all. i created it. this is actually for Voucher printing which does not require A4 size. so that i specified specific paper size in that.
Voucher is Printing in the Specified Size, ok. But, after printing it, the printer automatically Rolls till the end of the paper.(Probably this would have taken A4 by Default)
the issue is, we need to stop this rolling and we need to make this printing as specified.since it is continuous printing, every time we cant manually rotate the page.(Printer Epson Dot Matrix)
Is this either can be sorted out by ABAP or Basis Person.
What can be done from Our Basis Side?
    Thanks,
    Siva

    Hi,
    How you solved this problem?
I am also facing the same problem.
    Thanks in advance

  • How to do batch printing of multi-page TIFF images

I have TIFF images stored in the database as BLOB. The TIFF images can have one or multiple pages. I need to do batch printing of these images using Oracle Web Reports 6i in a 3-tier web environment. I was able to print single-page TIFF image by using an "Image" datatype; however when I print multi-page TIFF image, only the first page is printed.
Is there a way to achieve my requirement in Oracle Web Reports 6i. If not, can you please suggest any alternative method. Our environment is 9iAS Release 1 on Windows/2000, Oracle 8.1.7 db,Forms 6i and Reports 6i.
    Thank you.

Did you ever find a solution to this issue? I'm currently fighting this same issue. Only the first page of my multi-page TIFF documents are printing.

  • PRINT FORMAT issue

    Hi ALL,
We have recently upgraded to ECC 6.0.
We are facing an issue with the print format. In the BG job, we have set the page format as 'X_65_132', but when it is creating the spool  it is changing the format to X_65_255.
Please give your valuable suggestions on what could be the reason for this?

most probably this is an unicode issue.
    /correction
my above statement is crap. it should be the printer setting which make this happen.
just try the proposal of the poster below.

  • Batch Printing POS Invoices: One dialog per page

Haven't noticed this until we upgraded to Leopard and Lightspeed 2.8.4 (Point of Sale program). We went to batch print customer account statements today and it seems Lightspeed or Leopard handles printing differently. Before we upgraded, we would get a print dialog, hit okay and the cover page and all the statements would print, all as pages of the same print job. Now you get a print dialog for the cover page, and one for each of the 72 statements to print. This is crazy!
Any ideas if this has to do with Leopard and its print drivers, or would this be a Lightspeed issue? The printers in question (both do it) are an HP Laserjet 1022 and an HP Laserjet 1320.

If you are trying to print a single, multi-page document and getting a dialog for each page, that is not right. Try printing any other multi-paged document in another application and see if it happens. If it does, it's a Leopard issue. Otherwise, Lightspeed is your issue.

  • Batch printing 1st page always bad

I have Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional. I have all of the updates, running on XP pro.
Whenever I batch print with it the 1st pdf is always to the wrong scale. All of the rest of the pdf's will be correct.
The pdf's are drawings. The 1st pdf will not show the complete drawing.
If I change the order then the pdf that was wrong will be correct and another pdf will be to the wrong scale.
I have this problem no matter how I try to do the batch printing.
I have moved the files to a directory and then batch printed them soley from Acrobat.
I can open an email in Outlook 2007 and tell it to print attachements, same problem.
I have tried it with numerous pdf's. It is always the 1st pdf in the batch. All the rest of the pdf's will be correct
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thank You

    Hello Jeff,
The problem you are having with the Canon PS and UFR2 driver is caused by the Paper Size > US Letter not being listed as a supported paper size. Instead, these two drivers have Letter, not US Letter. Therefore, when you do have the Page Setup > Format set to Any Printer and the Paper Size set to US Letter, the finishing options are not available.
You will notice an interesting phenomena via the Page Setup pane. Open an application like TextEdit, go to Page Setup and have the Format set to Any Printer and the Paper Size set to US Letter. Then change the Format menu to the Canon driver and watch the Paper Size automatically change to Letter.
The solution to this is to delete the CanonPS and UFR2 driver and use the new Canon 'CUPS' PS v2.11 driver. This driver has US Letter as a supported paper size, so you can leave 'Format for' at 'Any Printer'. And the driver supports both the 5075 and C5185, so you models are covered. Note that you will still have to use the Fiery driver for the other C5185.
Re the mailbox, the format setting won't affect this function. Your comment about PCL not supporting it is interesting. The PCL driver on Windoze definitely works with mailbox so you must have some other gremlins if that is not available.

  • Is there a way to automatically add the filename in the page header when batch printing text files directly from finder?

hello, i have 80 text files (docx). the finder preview works great and i can open them in pages.
I need to batch print them from finder:
I select all the documents > drag on printer's icon> printer puts them in queue ( after an on the fly pdf conversion)  ad starts printing.
    BUT
i need the filename printed on each page  ( in hearder or footer) , not only the regular text content.
Do you know if there is a workaround?
    thank you

If that section has an ID or NAME attribute then you can add that to the URL (#anchor) that you want to reload.

  • How to print a formatted page in java?

    hi all
i've made my simple application that writes and retrieves information to/from a database, and organizes them in reports
now, i got to print these reports in formatted pages like, for example:
    title centered and bold
    first db record
    second db record

i followed the http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/2D/forDevelopers/sdk12print.html documentation and wrote this class

    import java.text.*;
    import java.awt.geom.*;
    import java.awt.font.*;
    public class print implements Printable

            return Printable.PAGE_EXISTS;
}this works, and is great the dialog to choose the paper orientation and the printer, but i'm still not able to do the simplest things: like
    - change the font of my text (as you can see in the print() method)
    - do a new line in my text (as you can see in the beginning of the code)
so, now that i'm able to print some text, i'd like to be able to change the format of my printable page
    any advice?
i didn't find any tutorial really complete! anyone can suggest me any?
    thanx a lot in advance

I'm not sure if you still need this, but try \n\r instead of simply \n.
\n is a new line, but \r signifies the carriage return, back to the left. I'm not sure if it's always necessary, but it was in my case.

  • Footer should be print on last page in multiple page format

    Hi expert,
I designed form for invoice print ,in that for multiple pages footer should be print on last page only and hight of the main window should be increase (means if footer will display on last page then space of footer should be used for main window in multiple
    page format)
for eg .if i have 12 item so 5 items displyed on each page but i want to print 10 item on first page and remaing on second and after that i want to print footer.
    Regards,
    Jyotsna

    Hi,
Has you tried to create a "new page" copy of FIRST, and make it the LAST_PAGE... On it you are going to create the desired footer.
The Page Secuence will be something like this:
If you are trying to print 12 items, then PAGE 1 (10 items) -> LAST_PAGE (2 remaining items).
    Hope it helps you...

  • How do you change the page format to print a larger area?

Hi there, another new to mac and new to numbers guy.
I'm trying to find the windows equivalent to change page format.
I want to reduce the blank border surrounding my table and print a larger area. How do you reduce the blank border that prevents you from printing up to the paper edge?
    cheers

Page margns in Numbers are set in the Layout Inspector.
Open the Inspector and click the Layout button.
Edit the four margin settings as you wish. Reduce the (page) header and footer settings to zero if you don't want to include running headers or footers on your pages.
Note that margins will be limited by the capabilities/settings of your printer. Printing to the edges of the paper usually requires a choice to be made in the Print dialogue as well as for the document itself.
    Regards,
    Barry
