Try resetting your SMC and PRAM.
Resetting the System Management Controller >>
If that does not help, try a new battery.

Clean the dock connector with a soft, dry brush.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

  • Tungsten E2 Handheld-Battery not holding charge

    Dear Palm Support,
My battery is not holding a charge and is therefore, not synching.
Can I buy an internal battery for my Tungsten E2 on line?  If not, can you please tell me the closest location (i.e. Best Buy, Staples, Circuit City) to my house. My zip code is 19067, Yardley PA.
    Thank you very much,
    Catherine DeSimone

    How are you charging?
If you are using the sync cable, be aware that not all USB ports are alike and that most do not meet USB 2.0 specifications or have enough power to charge, further if you are using a laptop it must be turned on and connected to a wall outlet to charge your device.
If you are using the wall charger, be absolutely certain the wall outlet is powered. If it is under a desk or you have pets, it can very simply be partially out of the socket. I have also read of weird wiring, where wall switches can and do turn off outlets in other rooms.
Should the outlet be functional, try an on-charger reset. Plug into wall outlet, connect your device to the charge cable, then press the reset button on the back. Leave alone for 4 hours or overnight to recalibrate the battery.
If this does not work, the battery may need to be disconnected for a minute then reconnected. There are many threads already discussing this process which requires a Torx driver to remove the back cover.
Lastly, if your device is around 2 years old and used heavily, it is probable that you are nearing the limit of charge cycles a LithiumIon battery can accept. In this case, you must replace the battery. PDAParts.com and UsedPDAParts.com can help.
Because the E2 uses a clip to connect the battery it is not hard to do this yourself with the Torx, unlike other models that require soldering the battery.

  • HT4623 Has anyone had a problem with Iphone 4s battery not holding charged status

My 4S Iphone would not sync although it would charge when i connected it to my computer. I  got help from an apple representative who walked me through syncing with icloud to get back my contacts.  My phone wil not hold a charge since then. Apple diagnostic said the battery was perfect??

    Hi pamellag,
Here is some information on iPhone batteries that may help you:
    Apple - Batteries - iPhone
    http://www.apple.com/batteries/iphone.html
One of the side notes states:
    Charge Cycles
A properly maintained iPhone battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 400 full charge and discharge cycles. You may choose to replace your battery when it no longer holds sufficient charge to meet your needs.
The 'replace' link above leads to some options if you need to get the battery replaced:

  • HT4623 I have updated my iPhone 5 but after this update it does not accept charging

    Dear Sir/Ma'am,
I have update my iphone 5 software with iOS 7 but after this update it does not accept the charger or neither any charging ?
I need to know how to solve this issue please.
    Thank you

Well when you download the update with iTunes it will always download the whole new version (in your case 7.0.2) even if its just an bug fix. If you already have 7.0 download the update over-the-air.
You already wrote that the update is only 21 MB, so its not the whole firmware package of 7.0.2 you get with iTunes.

  • Battery not working/charging

Laptop only works when plugged into wall. Battery icon says "not charging". Pressing the battery button on the battery shows 3 lights. Anyone know what to do??

  • Battery not full charge even I charged it over the night.

I bought Classic 5days ago, and it can charge 100%. But suddently, from 2 days ago, I can not charge full battery even charged it throught the night. It stuck at 43% or some level percent.
I found many people like me. For the example is this review topic http://www.cio.com.au/article/562837/blackberry-classic-review-killer-smartphone-keyboard-lovers/?fp...

Have you tried a restart by pressing the Volume Up/Down buttons for 10 seconds, until the screen goes black.

  • Battery not Identified/Charging

A few days ago, my white, first release May 06 white macbook was working fine.
Coconutbattery said that my Macbook had 39% of its original capacity less than a week ago.
Lately, when I unplug my Macbook, it will die as if my battery had not been inside. However, when I plug it back in and turn it back on, it's not as if the battery had died with my desktop grayed out and eventually restored; it is effectively shutdown and all my apps need to be re-opened and all work lost.
Oddly, now, whenever I try to open coconutbattery, it crashes (the app). I deleted and reinstalled it, but it still can not give me any data on the battery.
The light on the charger is always green, the indicator lights on my battery do not light up, and the battery life indicator/energy saver informs me my battery does not charge.
I'm guessing my battery's pretty much a lost cause, but would replacing it solve all my problems or is there something also wrong on the laptop side? Any ways to salvage the battery? I know I could just borrow a battery from someone else and try out, but I haven't had the chance lately.
    Thanks, guys.

    here's what system profiler says:
    Charge Information:
    Charge remaining (mAh): 0
    Fully charged: Yes
    Charging: No
    Full charge capacity (mAh): 0
    Health Information:
    Cycle count: 280
    Condition: Check battery
    Battery Installed: Yes
    Amperage (mA): 0
    Voltage (mV): 9251
280 isn't really that high, is it?

  • Ipod battery not staying charged

I have an Ipod mini and recently I have been having problems with the battery staying charged. I will leave it plugged in for at least 24 hours and then when I go to use it, it will only play for about 15 minutes and then the low battery warning comes on and then the ipod cuts off. I have been charging it with the wall adapter and not through the computer. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am having this same problem with my ipod mini.
I have owned it for a few months, but have not used it on a daily basis... maybe twice a week.
It can be fully charged, but once I have carried it around for a couple of days, (on hold) then try to use it, it will not start up.
Have done the 5 r's. Resetting does nothing, I have to plug it back into my pc to get it to start up or to be able to reset it.
The last couple of times it looks as though the battery charge was down even though it had not been used.
Does this have to be sent in for repair?
I paid a lot of money for this thing, and don't want to be spending hours wasting my time troubleshooting this thing.
    That's Apple's job.

  • Why is my battery not keeping charge?

My Ipad is not keeping battery charge. Why?

Make sure you are using the power adapter and are plugging the adapter into a wall socket. Try different cables and wall sockets. Don't try to charge from a USB port on your computer. You can try resetting the iPad as well and see if that helps at all.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Read this for useful information on how to calibrate the battery gauge.

This is copied from the very end of the article.
    Use Your iPad Regularly
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).

  • Battery Not Staying Charged!

    Hey Everyone,
I have had my iPod G5 for about 2 years now. I usually use it with an FM Charger in my vehicle. However, I noticed about a month ago it has stopped keeping charge. When I charge it, it says charged and then I will turn it off, when I go to turn it on, say a day later, even if I haven't used it, the battery will be depleated. I was wondering if my battery's life has been all used up and I need a new battery, or if I should just get a new iPod. Was wondering first though if this was a fixable problem. For example, I turned it on last night, and it was at 3 quarters charged and this morning it does not have enough power to even turn on, the apple shows up and then the screen turns off.
Is there any way to fix the battery or do I need a new one?
    Thanks.

It's been on the same settings since I bought it and it used to last A LOT longer so I'm not sure why all of a sudden it drains so quickly! If I bring it into the Genius bar, what would they do to it? Change the battery or replace the whole thing??

  • HT4060 Battery not holding charge

My ipad battery no longer holds a charge. Happened coincidentaly with ios7 install.  I shut down all apps and options that drain the battery but it does not help.
Any thoughts other than replacing the battery?

Using the battery level meter in this manner is comparable to using your car's fuel gauge to calculate miles per gallon. The only thing that matters is the total amount of operating time from full charge to auto-shutdown.
Use the wall-mount charger that came with the iPad and charge overnight.  Do NOT use an iPod/iPhone charger.  Do NOT use a computer's USB port.  Then, operate it normally until auto shut-down (ignore any low level alerts that may appear).  An irony is that doing that test to determine the total operating time is also the procedure necessary to calibrate the battery level meter.
I'm not claiming that you do not have a problem.  I am stating, however, that we don't yet know.
    According to Apple:
    Use Your iPad Regularly
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).
Elsewhere, Apple elaborates and explains that two half-discharges (or four quarter-discharges, etc.) equals one full discharge.

  • Battery not holding charge

Ever since my last upgrade the battery is not holding it's charge very well. I've disabled the locator. Anybody else having problems? Any suggestions?

When the phone gets hot, the battery will not hold a charge. I've not checked to see what caused it specifically, but my Droid was working fine until one day it just went hot and the battery charge went bye-bye. I tried to recharge it, but it won't hold the charge.
I wasn't sure what was causing the phone to get hot, but I know it's not the battery itself that's getting hot. I figured this much out when I did a battery pull. The battery itself was warm, but the area where the camera was on the phone was quite toasty. I let my phone cool down for a few minutes then put the battery back. Haven't had any sort of issue since then so far. I do have my suspicions.
I believe certain apps may be playing a role here. Which one is the question. I don't have ATK and I actually have Power Manager as well. My initial guess was antivirus since it was the last app I installed before the phone went supernova. I adjusted the settings for it which I thought fixed it, but it actually got hot one more time before I did the battery pull.
It may not work for everyone, but you can try what I did and see if it fixes your issue.
