BC4J HTTP Container was timed out

I encountered above error when running my BC4J/JSP/OC4J (9iAS
1.0.2.2) applications, and my applications just hung there.

I too have the same problem....

  • Exists an event for "BC4J HTTP Container was timed out"

    Hi,
i want to catch the following bc4j event "BC4J HTTP Container was timed out".
Has anybody an idea how i could achieve this?
    Marc

    Hi,
The message is printed as the result of an HttpSession timeout. If you are interested in performing your own session timeout logic then you should register your own HttpSessionBindingListener. If you would like to perform some custom logic before BC4J's ApplicationModule handle (implemented as HttpSessionCookieImpl) is timed out then you would need to create a custom SessionCookie class (extends HttpSessionCookieImpl) and override/extend HttpSessionCookieImpl.timeout.
    Hope this helps.

  • BC4J HTTP Container/session cookie time out

    Hi,
We have a BC4J jsp app(developed in Jdev 9i Beta) deployed to oc4j 9ias. Every time the BC4J HTTP container and session cookie for the application time's out and a new instance of the application is invoked through a client browser, the RAM on the machine decreases. The fear is that the RAM will eventually fall to very low levels and adversely affect perfomance every time a time out occurs and a new instance of the application is invoked. When no time out's occur and new instances are invoked, the RAM is stable. The issue seems to be the time out's not releasing resources? The following is the message:
"BC4J HTTP container was timed out
The session cookie for the application, AdminAppModule, was timed out"
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am working on Oracle 10.2.0.2 database on Solaris 10.

    Hi,
    1) After resumable timeout , it will be resumed
    2) You can use one more option
    impdp>help
    impdp> start_job jobname
It will resume the paused job
    Hope this answers your question

  • TS3992 Why did it say " Backup could not be completed"? Was it because it estimated it would take 3 hours to do the backup and it was timed out?

Why did it say "Backup could not be completed"? Was it because it estimated the backup would take 3 hours and it timed out?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
First check that your device is correctly connected to the wifi/internet (settings > wifi)
If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.
If this doesn't help, try turning off some items for back up in a pattern to try to establish if your problem is being caused by specific data on your device.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

Initially we had memoy issues now that is solved by upgrading from 32 bit Jvm - 64 bit Jvm.
For past two months we are getting JBO error(JBO-28102) , even though the documentation tells to increase the number of connections to Appmodule , we dont see the internal_connections to go more than 5 connections.
Here is the Parameters we use in our App Module configuration:

  • While downloading my updates, it tries to update for 63 minutes and then says it couldn't update because it was timed out.  I have tried at three times.  any suggestions?

There was a problem downloading the software for theIpod.  An unknown error occurred (9006)
Make sure your network settings are correct and your networkconnection is active, or try again later.
This was the last error message.

Try disabling a/v software and turning off the Firewall.
    Disable antivirus software
    Turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off
    Then try to update.

  • Facebook timed out while writing a post.  Any attempt to open FB, now shows post that was in progress and immediately crashes app.  Cannot clear timed out item.  Have power failed and done warm reboot on iPad.   Is Delete/Reinstall only option?

Was writing post, as part of sharing article from my newsfeed.   While writing, Facebook timed out.  Display cleared.  App recycled and returned to newsfeed.  This has happened previously and for all purposes, the original post, since it had never been "loaded" onto FB servers effectively was deleted from iPad memory.  That appeared to be the case yesterday; as I was able to continue reading, sharing and commenting on other articles.
Later, as I was shutting iPad down for the night, scrolled through open Apps and discovered the original FB window was still "open" I'd apparently been working on a 2nd or mirror version of the app.  Attempting to access the original page; it opens, but I am unable to "interact" with the display/app, pressing "cancel" on my original post has no effect.  Within 5-6 seconds FB crashes.
I power failed the iPad, left it over night and today am encountering the same problem.   Tapping FB icon, brings up the post that was timed out.  It displays for 2-3 seconds max, then original article and partial post disappear.  Newsfeed appears to be loading as that and contact columns are visible in light font indicating they are preparing to load.   2-3 seconds, that vanishes.  Am left with blue header band, spinning wheel indicating it is trying to communicate or process something.   2-3 seconds and then screen goes black and I'm returned to my app desktop.
If I immediately tap icon to reopen I get white screen, with blue header band.   2-3 seconds, black screen, back to app desktop.   If I wait 2 minutes, I get the full shared article, partial post as described above.  I've confirmed in the problem log that this is failing in Thread 0 and showing up as system crash.
Based on feedback to somewhat similar FB problem I found in forum; in addition to doing power fail.  I also did warm reboot (Home and Sleep keys) in hope app would reboot along with ios.  No change.
At this point, I'm assuming my only viable option is to delete the app and reinstall it from App Store.  Easy enough to accomplish.  But wanted to see if there were any other recommendations, or whether anyone else has experienced a similar failure with FaceBook.
    Thanks for your assistance.

  • BIPCatalogUtil extraction always fails with "Connection timed out"

BIPCatalogUtil extraction always fails with "Connection timed out".
Any suggestions on what could be the issue?

One thought was that perhaps it was timing out going out some unused port (e.g., the Airport port), but a list shows only the Ethernet port is enabled:
    admin$ sudo networksetup -listallnetworkservices
An asterisk (*) denotes that a network service is disabled.
    Built-in Ethernet
    *AirPort
    *Built-in FireWire

  • Apple Script - Apple Event is Timing Out

i am a novice at apple scripting. i have written an apple script for backing up my desktop to my iPod. i was able to do this based on the basic info in my "panther- the missing manual" book that i have. i have the basic script working but after about 2 minutes into the backup, my "Script Editor" icon in the toolbar starts bouncing and when i click on it, i get a window that says that the apple event has timed out. the backup continues and finishes without problems. however, i would like to edit the apple script to correct this issue and eliminate this error message. i have tried experimenting with applescript commands but i have not been able to find a good primer to learn the language. i need to add script that will allow the event to run for four minutes before it times out.
anyone know the applescript wording to fix my error message?
    thanks
    G4 Quicksilver AGP Graphics 500   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

Place the statements inside a block such as:
    with timeout of 240 seconds
    --commands
    end timeout
    (9861)
thanks for getting back to me. i tried to use this additional script before, after and inside my original script and still was timing out.
this is the last script i tried. the compiler compiles is fine. i just keep getting the "timeout" error message after two minutes. i have also tried your the additional script before the "tell" and after the "end tell". complies and runs fine in these other locations but still get the error message after two minutes.
    tell application "Finder"
    with timeout of 300 seconds
    --commands
    end timeout
duplicate folder "Desktop" of folder "alan" of folder "users" of startup disk to disk "Encrypted iPod" with replacing
    end tell

  • How fast an internet connection is required to download Photoshop without getting timed out by the server?

What minimum internet speed is required to download Photoshop without being timed out by the server?
I experienced a spectacular crash and blue-screen freeze while attempting to download the creative cloud from a hotel wifi system.
Since I don't want a repeat of that calamity, I suspect I was timed out but would welcome input. The hotel has about 1 mbps internet speed according to speedtest.net.
I'm currently working in China but live in Atlanta, waiting to return home to download isn't practical.

Zaphod922 there is no specific bandwidth requirement but if there is enough failures then the download will eventually be canceled.  Perhaps a coffee shop wifi hot spot to download the applications?
As an alternative you can download the base installers from Adobe CC 2014 Direct Download Links: Creative Cloud 2014 Release | ProDesignTools.  You would still need to download the updates but having the base install in place will reduce the downloads through the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

  • I have tried to rent a movie in iTunes twice in the last few hours, both times it says my session has timed out.  I was browsing to begin with, but then tried closing iTunes

I have tried to rent a movie in iTunes twice in the last few hours.  First I was browsing then tried to rent and was told my session had timed out.  I closed iTunes and went directly to rent the specific movie and still the same response, session timed out.  I completely logged out of iTunes, tried again 5 hours later, still the same timed out response.  I have successfully rented, downloaded movies and watched them previously.  Any similiar issues for anyone lately? Any ideas why this is happening?
