BCC Production Agent...Deployment...Stopped...javax.ejb.ObjectNotFound

I am onto the 3rd day of a nasty problem getting our BCC ProductionAgent unstuck. Unfortunately, a series of direct SQL bad-advice has removed the Project that is causing the problems from the ATGPUB database, but the Agent is convinced it still has deployment work to do and is not allowing me to Cancel the Project and get the ProductionAgent back in line. I would like to know how I can just tell the Agent it is done...delete the Agent entirely...create a new one to take its place....do a Full Deployment on it and get the whole Publishing thing working again.
Currently, when I attempt Cancel the current Deployment from BCC, the ATGPublishing server.log produces long stacktraces like...
<pre>
2012-03-28 19:42:54,056 ERROR [nucleusNamespace.atg.epub.deployment.DeploymentFormHandler] (http-0.0.0.0-8180-1)

at atg.deployment.common.ResourceUtil.exception(ResourceUtil.java:373)
</pre>
...if I try instead to "Resume" it, the stacktrace is shorter, but essentially the same...

How can I just make this Agent abandon this deployment attempt and let me Full Deploy on it and get on with my life?
As always, any help is greatly appreciated.

That seems to have done the trick. Thanks. Now I'm just waiting for a Full Deployment of the Production instance. I hope this works.

  • ZENworks Agent Service stops after deploying 10.3.3 agent.

    Hi,
    Yesterday i patched our three ZCM-servers (Sles 11) with 10.3.3. I then deployed the 10.3.3 agent to some computers in the IT-department. ZCC shows that the deployment were successful. The problem is that you can not log on to the ZONE from many of these computers. The Novell ZENworks Agent Service stops. I get the following in the Application Windows Log on a Windows 7 64-bit client:

    Can anyone help me with this problem?

    I would try removing all versions of .NET and then reinstalling the
    latest 3.5 SP1 version to see if that helps, since the Agent relies on .NET
    If that does not help, I would recommend getting an SR created so the
    dump could be analyzed.

    Do you have any suggestions
    Regards,

    Hi Peter,
    You are right. Child is being inserted even before parent got inserted (actually "committed") into the DB.we would need to look at your code where are you doing all these creates (may be ejbCreate). Most probably ur error should get fixed by changing the transactional attributes in the DD files. Try using <delay-database-inserts-until> element.
    More details available at:
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs70/faq/ejb.html#257426
    If it doesn't help, open up a case with BEA Support.
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks

  • Error in deploying a simple EJB 3.0

    Hi ,
    I am getting the following error while deploying my simple ejb of version 3.0 in Weblogic 9.2.
    Exception preparing module: EJBModule(build) [EJB:011023]An error occurred while reading the deployment descriptor. The error was: Error processing annotations: java.lang.NullPointerException.
    During my evaluation of Weblogic 9.2 for EJB 3.0 , I have got the following questions.
    EJB Specification states that EJB's in EJB 3.0 can be developed and deployed without the need of deployment descriptors. I have created a simple EJB with two file Env.java and EnvBean.java and the source code is given below.
    a) I just complied these class files and when I was trying to deploy without ejb-jar.xml and weblogic-ejb-jar.xml, the console was not at all allowing me to deploy.Why is this so?
    b) After I created a META-INF file under root of classes directory by placing ejb-jar.xml with empty <enterprise-beans> element, console was allowing me to deploy with errors in parsing ejb-jar.xml. The error was either session/entity/mdb is a required under <enterprise-beans> element. Why is this required when there are several examples stating <enterprise-beans> element can be empty.
    c) Later I updated ejb-jar.xml with <session> element under <enterprise-beans> with the following values. I got the above error when deployed with this change.
    I had been struggling to deploy this simple bean for almost a day.Pleas point me if there is any documentation that solves my stated problem or if there is a solution.Thanks in advance.
    regards
    Karim

  • Javax ejb CreateException: Could not create stateless EJB

    Hi,
    I have a JavaEE (EJB3.0) project deployed on glassfish2.1 as -.ear (exported from eclipse3.4 to the autodeploy-folder) with -.ejb.jar, -.webui.war, general-lib-base.jar (some other...)
    The session bean is invoked by a jsf-managed bean. Have a pure annotation +@ejb+ in managed bean (identifiing the ejb-interface (+@Remote+) ...the ejb is annotated with +@stateless+
    get the following error message:
    *...nested exception is: javax.ejb.CreateException: Could not create stateless EJB*
    as beginner in the JavaEE-field I'm looking for some help concerning the possible causes.
    thank's for any comment...
    (also posted in the Enterprise JavaBeans-forum possibly better there)

    problem fixed: in the deployment-descriptor ejb-jar.xml a spezification of the session-bean hung around ...very annoying!

  • Javax.ejb.NoSuchObjectLocalException when removing entitybean

    Weblogic 10.3.0.0
    EJB 2.1
    Hi. I am using the below code to remove a record in the database. But it happens that I get a javax.ejb.NoSuchObjectLocalException.
    Before this code is executed, I load the data from the database and create a list of sealsInfoTO that has to be removed, so I only get sealsInfoTO that exists in the database.
    It all is in the same transaction that is started in a session bean.
    It is not only happening with the seals, but also other objects that goes through likewise code
    Iterator removedIterator = seals.removedIterator();
            while (removedIterator.hasNext()) {

  • SCOM 2012 R2 Agent Deployment - Uninstall Old and Install New

    By chance anyone come up with a scripted method for removing an existing SCOM 2012 SP1 agent and installing a new 2012 R2 agent? While I've come across a few scripts I'm trying to kill a few birds with one stone. This is a cross-domain attempt where the
    SCOM servers sit in one domain and the member servers are scattered across multiple domains. Member servers range from Windows Server 2003, 2008, and 2012. In most cases the servers have the 2012 SP1 agent installed and in some cases there are multiple management
    groups from previous SCOM standups. In addition there's a separate DEV SCOM 2012 R2 environment to manage DEV/QA servers. Active Directory Integration is configured and I have the necessary security groups created. There is a group policy created which is
    filtered to just that security group. So the plan is to simply drop the servers into the correct group and have the agent installed via group policy start up script. ADI should have DEV servers appear in DEV SCOM and PROD in PROD SCOM.
    Although there are ways to facilitate agent deployment via the console I need to perform a staged migration against a ton of server so as to not impact the existing production environment. So I'd rather do this remotely to pre-selected servers. This process
    should involve removing the existing agent, installing the new one, and if possible removing any existing management groups. So far I've come up with the following:
    Uninstall SCOM Agent:
    %WinDir%\System32\msiexec.exe /x <path>\MOMAgent.msi /qb
    Install SCOM Agent:
    msiexec.exe /i \\path\Directory\MOMAgent.msi /qn /l*v \logs\MOMAgent_install.log USE_SETTINGS_FROM_AD=0 MANAGEMENT_GROUP=<MG_Name> MANAGEMENT_SERVER_DNS=<MSDNSName> ACTIONS_USE_COMPUTER_ACCOUNT=0 ACTIONSUSER=<AccountUser> ACTIONSDOMAIN=<AccountDomain>
    ACTIONSPASSWORD=<AccountPassword>
    Remove Management Group via Script
    http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/Remove-a-Management-group-336c849a/view/Discussions#content
    I'm guessing this wheel has already been invented or maybe there's a better way. So I'm open to ideas or suggestions.
    Any responses appreciated.

    Wow! 4 days and no responses, not good Microsoft SCOM Community. So here's a status on this issue.
    As stated I have Active Directory Integration configured which means:
    I see the OperationsManager container in AD: dev_scom
    I see the HealthService SCP and separate OU's for each of my management servers.
    I have an ADI security group containing my management servers and scom action account.
    I have an Agent security group which will contain servers the scom agent will be deployed via group policy.
    I also have an AD LDAP query set to target the SCOM agent group.
    (&(objectCategory=group)(name=DSCOM_ADI))
    I finally get the script to install via the following steps:
    Reference:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc754995.aspx
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc770556.aspx
    http://blog.coretech.dk/msk/install-a-scom-2012-agent-silent/
    1. Launch Notepad ++ and enter the following:
    msiexec /i
    \\server.yourdomain.com\opsmgragent\%Processor_Architecture%\MOMAgent.msi USE_SETTINGS_FROM_AD=1 MANAGEMENT_GROUP=DEV_SCOM MANAGEMENT_SERVER_DNS=YourSCOMsrvr1.yourdomain.com ACTIONS_USE_COMPUTER_ACCOUNT=0 USE_MANUALLY_SPECIFIED_SETTINGS=0 ACTIONSUSER=svc_dscom
    ACTIONSDOMAIN=yourdomain ACTIONSPASSWORD=YourPassword! AcceptEndUserLicenseAgreement=1 /qn /l*v c:\scom2012r2mmainstall.log
    2. Save the script to a name of your choice. For me it's installdopsmgragent.cmd. Watch the extensions as you may end up saving it as installdopsmgragent.cmd.txt.
    Note: Make note of this steps in the reference articles listed above:
    "In the Add a Script dialog box, do the following:
    In the Script Name box, type the path to the script, or click Browse to search for the script file in the Netlogon shared folder on the domain controller."
    It's been a while since having to use a startup script so it took me a minute to figure this out. "getting too old 'fer this..."
    3. Copy the script to the Netlogon folder which is located in the following directory on my Windows 2012 server: E:\SYSVOL\sysvol\yourdomain.com\scripts
    4. Launch the group policy management console, create a new policy, edit it, and navigate to the following location:
    Computer Configuration > Policies > Windows Settings > Scripts (Startup/Shutdown)
    5. Double-click Startup to open the Startup Properties window.
    6. Click Add and browse to the location of the script which you copied to the Netlogon share.
    7. Click OK to close the Startup Properties window.
    8. Close the Group Policy Management Editor.
    9. Link the policy to an OU containing the servers.
    10. Add the SCOM Agent group to the Security Filtering area of the group policy. I also remove Authenticated Users.
    Note: make sure you have a few test servers in your Agent security group.
    11. Drop to a command line and run gpupdate /force. You can also use gpupdate /force /sync but you will have to reboot the box you're running this from.
    12. Log into one of the servers you have slated to deploy the agent to, drop to a command line, and run the same gpupdate command.
    13. Follow this with a gpresult /r command to ensure that you see the policy applied in the Computer Settings area.
    14. Reboot the server and you should see the startup script run.
    15. Log into the server and launch the Control Panel.
    16. If all went well you'll see the "Microsoft Monitoring Agent" icon.
    17. Launch Event Viewer, navigate to the Operations Manager events node located under Applications and Services Logs and validate the logs.
    17. If all didn't go well check the error log located, for me, on the C:\scom2012r2mmainstall.log
    My issue: I don't see the management info in the Agent properties.
    I installed this last night and waited until the next day still no changes. Event logs show the following:
    Event ID: 2011 The Health Service did not find any policy in Active Directory
    Event ID: 2003 No management groups were started.  This may either be because no management groups are currently configured or a configured management group failed to start.  The Health Service will wait for policy from Active Directory configuring
    a management group to run.
    I see the HealthService is Running in Task Manager on this server and of course I don't see anything listed in the Management Groups registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\HealthService\Parameters\
    I don't want to manually add the management group info. Checking as I may have missed something in one of the switches.
    Any responses appreciated.

    The message bean calls a session bean.
    The session beans does some junk and creates an entity bean.
    During the create there is a possibilty of a javax.ejb.DuplicateKeyException being
    thrown.
    I am trying to catch this exception but for some reason the weblogic server is
    catching and
    and trying to restart the transaction by calling the message bean again.
    By doing this it is an enless cycle of errors that will not stop untill you shut
    down the weblogic server.
    How can I catch this error to prevent this loop from happening?

    Thanks for the response and the direction.
    Its Bug No.6713854
    Could you please shed some light on toplink flavors and support/fixes.
    That is:
    1. Is toplink that comes with OAS different than the open source toplink?
    2. If so, how are bugs tracked. where should I go and look for the bugs for the open source version?
    3. Could we use the open source version for OC4J?
    Thanks :)

  • Javax.ejb.DuplicateKeyException: Exception [EJB - 10007]

    Hi,
    I am deploying an EJB application in OAS10.1.3.1. (it comes with toplink)
    The application executes bean.remove() and removes the bean and then it creates
    the same bean again using bean.create() in the same transaction.
    When bean.create() executes the following exception is encountered.
    Is there any setting in toplink that will help me avoid this situation.

  • Bug: weblogic.jar doesn't include the javax.ejb classes

    In the
    Oracle WebLogic Server 11gR1 (10.3.6) + Coherence -
    Package Installer
    the C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\server\lib\weblogic.jar doesn't include the javax.ejb package classes. The javax.ejb package is empty.

    This is the correct behavior, stub and skeleton classes are generated at deployment time by WebLogic server and stored in a server internal location.
    In case you are interested, it is something like: ...\samples\domains\medrec\servers\MedRecServer\cache\EJBCompilerCache\ with file named like HelloSession_gjfaqw_Intf.java., etc.

  • ~ javax.ejb.ObjectNotFoundException: no such entity ~

    Hi all,
    When I deploy my own app into OC4J, the cmp beans get deployed properly (w/o any error messages). But when the client tries to access the bean through the findByPrimaryKey method the following exception is prompted:
    javax.ejb.ObjectNotFoundException: no such entity: <prikey>
    where <prikey> is the primary key. The row does exist in the database but I don't see why it's not accessible. The same app is working well in weblogic.
    Thanks,
    CK

    Hi all,
    I suspect the problem exists due to the unmapped
    orion-ejb-jar.xml from the weblogic-ejb-jar.xml and
    weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar.xml (migration from Weblogic
    to OC4J)
    I understand that I need to generate my own
    orion-ejb-jar.xml in this case and replace the one in
    application-deployments/<app>/<xxx-jar>
    However, I've got this error while deploying the ejb
    jar file:
    Auto-deploying EJBs/EMmMember.jar (Classes were
    updated)... WARNING: Unused <finder-method> tag found
    in <entity-deployment> 'enet.b2b.entity.EMmMember',
    method name 'findByPrimaryKey()'
    done.
    I am not so sure about the syntax of the
    finder-method in my orion-ejb-jar.xml, please help me
    to rectify...here's the portion of it:
    <entity-deployment>
    <finder-method>
    <method>
    <ejb-name>enet.b2b.entity.EMmMember</ejb-name>
    <method-name>findByPrimaryKey</method-name>
    <method-params>enet.b2b.entity.EMmMember.EMmMemberPK<
    method-params>
    </method>
    </finder-method>
    </entity-deployment>
    Thanks,
    CKHi CK --
    Are you creating this file from scratch?
    I think the easiest way to accomplish whay you are trying to do is to take the EJB JAR file you have, and just deploy it to OC4J.
    This will result in OC4J generating it's deployment descriptor using default settings and the info in the standard ejb-jar.xml file.
    This will be the orion-ejb-jar.xml file in <OC4J_HOME>/application-deployments/<app-name>/<ejb-jar-name>/orion-ejb-jar.xml.
    After deployment, the file will be a valid orion-ejb-jar.xml file.
    Once you have that, you can then tweak the things you need to -- for example, mapping entity beans to different table/columsn, changing the JNDI names of the beans, changing locking/isolation settings, etc.
    Once you have the file set as you need it to be, then for future deployments, copy it into the same directory as the ejb-jar.xml file in your deployment archive. The next time you deploy the application, OC4J will use the settings in this file to generate it's version of the file.
    Unlike BEA, OC4J doesn't require you to generate the proprietary deployment descriptors up front -- it will default them to sensible values. You can then tweak them as necessary.
    In orion-ejb-jar.xml, we don't need an entry for the findByPrimaryKey finder method since the method signature is known already, and we know the type of the parameter.
    It might be worth your while to create and then deploy a simple entity bean with a findByPrimaryKey and a custom finder, and take a look at the orion-ejb-jar.xml that gets generated. That will give you a baseline on what happens.
    cheers

  • Javax.ejb.CreateException, java.rmi.RemoteException

    When I deployed my war file and jar file on jboss server I am getting the following exception:

    What can be the problem? Any input is welcome:)

    This means when the ejb container tried to commit the container-managed transaction for
    the persist() method it failed. What pieces of work are you performing in the method?
    Are you using CMP or the Java Persistence API?
    Some likely reasons for failure are a database configuration issue or a table constraint that
    was violated.
