BCS validations of amounts versus currencies or values
Hi,
I want to validate a local currency amount to a fixed value for all Consolidation unit's currencies.
ie British Unit = 10,000 GBP,
Japanese unit = 10,000 JPY
American Unit = 10,000 USD
I do not want to perform any tranlsations in the validation task, therefore I do not want to specify a specific currency in the validation rule.
OSS note 870169 says that the following is no longer possible:
VAL_YTD (Selection) >= 10000
(NB This is possible in release 3.5 and below)
Therefore I must use this format (from BCS 4.0 onwards):
VAL_YTD (Selection) >= CONST (10000, currency key, rate type)
However I want to use a variable currency key, in which the curency key used is the local currency of the COnsolidation Unit being validated
- does anyone know how this is done?
- is it possible?
- any other work arounds?
Thanks dans,
This doesn't help, OSS note 870169 explains:
"VAL_YTD (Selection) >= 10,000
A formula of this type can be used up to Release 3.5 but as of Release 4.0, only the following syntax is permitted:
VAL_YTD (Selection) >= CONST (100, currency key, rate type)"
I am investigating other possibilities - will come back if I get something useful.

Talking about transformation (BI7)
Amount on source side (default currency, say EUR )
Amount (with currency) on target side
I get error while activating Transformation with demand to assign currency field from source to target. As I mentioned before I don't have any currency field in source. How can assign constant value (EUR) to the target of transformation?Hi,
In the transformation delete the mapping between the source field nad the currency on the target side. Then manually assign the currency field by rt clickin on the target side,n clicking rule details.
then try activating it.hope it will solve the problem.Does it solve the problem??

Can anyone point me to a seeded currency code value set (e.g. GBP, USD, etc) or full description of currencies (e.g. GB Pounds, US Dollars) which can be used to provide a LOV for a field in a Special Information Type in Oracle HRMS (11.5.10.2+ on Linux). The only one I've been able to find so far is GHR_US_CURRENCY but this is badly out-of-date as it shows most of the EU countries with their pre-Euro currencies and doesn't include Euros at all!
Thanks.Correct ... HR_CURRENCIES uses table validation and interrogates FND_CURRENCIES_VL.

How to make column that include currency and value
Hi, all
In the standerd form, there is a column that include currency and value.
For example sales order.
And it have to column in the DB table.
Can I make same column to use SDK.
And how can I make it.
Best RegardsHi,
I tried this and somewhat achieved this.
Bind the required col to a UserData Source as text type, and once u enter the cost or the price concatinate the entered price with the selected currency.
But this col cannot have the same functionality and validations of SAP.
Award points if helpful.

BCS validation partner entity entity
Hello
is it technical possible to create a BCS validation rule which checks whether partner entity identic to the entity?
As I see I cannot use any fix selections for that because I have to compare whithin each IC upload the combination of loading partner entity and entity.
Is there any possibility to use variables in teh selections?
Thanks & regards,
ElviraI have executed another task - reclassification and in this task I get an error for each data line (each consilidation unit), that entity = partner entity:
Loading Entity (8140) = Partner Entity ()
This is not understandable for me because I have added my validatio only to the validation task.
Thereby the variable for partner entity (&2) is not filled.
In the How To for validations I have seen that only caracteristics with the following roles can be used in conditions:
Group Currency
Version
Posting level
Fiscal Year
Posting period
Consolidation unit
Consolidation group.
All other caracteristics would be ignored.
The role partner unit is not on this list. Do I see it right, that there are no chance to compare the consolidation unit with partner unit? Our partner entity is assigned to the role partner unit. -

KO23 Object currency assigned value not equal Line item assigned value
Dear all:
I have one problem. Some Internal Order budget use KO23 view about Object currency assigned value not equal Standard Reprt
S_ALR_87013019 - List: Budget/Actual/Commitments assign value.
I don't knew what happen ?
So I wish someone can give me a hand. Tel me how to fix this problem.
thank you !Hi Jason,
First of all:
The displayed account code must be translated into the internally used code ("_SYS...") when using segmentation - when not using segemntation it is just internal code = displayed code.
The code displayed is just a sample to give you a hint in case you are already familiar with the SAP Business One application.
Therefore the sample code does not talk about where you got e.g. the value for FormatCode from ("FormatCode" is e.g. a field in table OACT where the account name with segments is (redundantly) stored without separators).
The user should know on which account he/she wants to book a line on; maybe you might want to give some help to the user by displaying a dialog with suitable - or preselected accounts?
In addition I am sure you know how to assign a string value to a string property - without explicitly writing it, right?

VAT amount adding to Inventory value where Input credit is not available
Dear All,
We want to capture the VAT amount adding to Inventory value where Input credit is not available.
As per the current practice, the Inventory valuation is going wrong as the VAT portion comes to the Inventory a/c at a subsequent date (when AP Invoice is done) instead of on the date of GRPO.
We want to add the vat amount to inventory value at GRPO level.
Regards,
Arbaaz.Hi Joseph,
My exact requirement is ...
There are some Inventory Items purchased with (Vat input not avaIlable) for my company. It means that Vat is not applicable for those Items.
So the Vat part of the amount should be added to the Item cost in my Inventory valuation.
But my situation is that , i need to show vat calculation at Purchase Order level as per my Vendors request. After that ultimately total document cost should be my Inventory cost.
This is where i am struck.

GR/IR A/c Amount and Amount in local Curreny values are not matching
Hello Gurus
When we are doing MIGO for some Scheduling Agreement PO's the Amount and Amount in local currency columns are mismatching with paise (+/-), eventhough PO belongs to Local Currency (INR). Because of this GR/IR account is not cleared after MIRO through F.13. Both MIGO and MIRO amount are showing as Open items.
Why it is happening and what is the way to clear GR/IR A/C. (F.13 with Tolerance limit is also not workout).
Thanks & Regards
Venkat.PHi sridhar
Thanks for reply
Through MR11 also these values are not cleared.

Field Validation on Custom Obj. 4: Value of one field making other Req.
Hello All,
I have been working on a field validation problem for a while. I have a custom Picklist on CO4. This picklist has two values YES and NO (a checkbox does not meet requirements). What I need to do is If Picklist='YES' then FieldA, FieldB, and FieldC are Required else they are not required. FieldA = Text (short), FieldB = Date, and FieldC = Currency. I've tried numerous ways to validate on Fields A, B, and C with statements like IIf(Picklist=LookupValue(Picklist,"YES"),FieldA<>NULL,FieldA) or IIf(FieldValue(Picklist)="YES",FieldA<>NULL,FieldA) etc... these were just my latest attempts at this point I'm jsut trying random things to try to get it working. I am probably using incorrect syntax (even though it passes the sytax checker). If anyone has any suggestion let me know. Also if I haven't made clear what it is I'm attempting to do let me know and I'll try to clarify.
Thanks,
ZHi,
if I understand correctly, you want this functionality:
If Picklist = NO => it doesn't matter what values are contained in Field A, B and C.
If Picklist = YES => Field A is not null and Field B is not null and Field C is not null
To trigger the validation when the picklist value changes then you have to configure the Field Validation for the Picklist:
[<Picklist>]=LookupValue("Picklist","NO") OR ( Len([<Field_A>])>0 AND Len([<Field_B>])>0 AND Len([<Field_C>])>0 )
You have to put the validation also on Field_A and Field_B and Field_C, because in case of an update of , let's say, Field_B, you should prevent that Field_B is blanked.
If someone updates only Field_B and he doesn't change the value of the Picklist, the validation expression put on the Picklist is not evaluated.

Foreign Currency Valuation Values Conversion
Hello SAP Experts!
We are migrating from 4.6B to 4.7 and we are working in the vendor, customer and G/L accounts open items conversion.
In the present system (4.6B) the users use transaction F.05 for foreign
currency valuation with the flag "Bal. sheet preparation valuatn" activated. This means, that the valuation difference is not reversed
but it is stores in the field BSEG-BDIFF of the affected open item.
Now we are trying to convert those foreign currency open items with a
batch input to transaction FB01. However, the fields BSEG-BDIFF do not appear in the dynpros and we could not find a way to make them optional to enter the value of previous revaluations.
We have thought of transaction F-05, but there is no way there to reference the revaluation that is being posted to the affected open item. T
If we do not enter this amount in that field we will have problems
after the go live to pay those items, as the "Bal. sheet adj. 1"
account balance will never be zero and the gain/loss accounts for exchange rate difference will be duplicated.
Do anyone know how can this be done?
Hope you can help me on this one.
Many thanks in advance.
Regards!
NoeliaHi Dominic!!
Thanks a lot for your answer. Yes, they are separate systems
Let me see if I understand your suggestion:
1) I should do a manual posting through F-05 in our 4.6B system bringing the balance adjustment account and the exchange rate difference account to zero.
2) Transfer the balances to 4.7.
3) In the first closing period run the automatic foreign currency valuation
(through F-05) with the flag "Bal. sheet preparation valuatn" deactivated so that the system revaluates the open items from the time the open item is created to that moment.
is it like that?
Many thanks for your help again!
Best regards,
Noelia -
Withholding tax amount exceeds total bank line item amounts for currency JP
Hi Friends,
we are facing the above problem which posteing the Downpayment in to Currency JPY. I have checked Bank GL for flag "Relevent to Cash Flow" and WHT Type Central Invoice Redio button. Still the problem exists.
This am facinf only for JPY can anybody help me on this.
Regards,
SATYAHi,
Try this,
Follow the Path.
WT > Ext WT > Calculation > Min and Max Amounts, Here you select the country (Japan JP) and then define the minimum and maximum amounts for Withholding Tax Types and Withholdiong Tax Codes.
For Eg:-
W Tax Type : .......
Currency : JPY
Valid from - 01.04.2009
Min Withholding Tax Amt - 10,00
Max Withholding Tax Amt - 999.999.999,00
Min Base amt - 10,00
Then Save it and try again.
You should define this for all the withholding tax types and codes which you have created.
Please let me know in casae of any doubt.

Neeraj
