BD13 DBA calendar Repeat jobs

Question

Hi All,
I would like to know how to schedule repeat jons in DB13.
I am trying to schedule dbcheck jobs daily in DB13 but I did not see the option for days , I can schedule for weeks but NOT for days.
please let me know the procedure how to schdule daily jobs in db13.

Hi,
If you create a job with start_date=>NULL, repeat_interval=>NULL then the job will only run once when it is enabled, so you can enable it when you are ready to run it.
If you want to run it multiple times then how you do it depends on what database version you are on
- if you are using 10.2, then just leave the job disabled (enabled=>false) and use run_job when you want to run the job.
- if you are in 10.1, run_job is not allowed on a disabled job so you need to do something like start_date=>sysdate+99999, repeat_interval=>null, enabled=>true
In both cases, to have the job run show up in running_jobs views, the job run must be a background run, so you have to set use_current_session=>false in run_job. Setting use_current_session=>TRUE (the default value) lets the job run in the foreground in the current session but it will not show up in the running_jobs views.
