[BDE Sandbox] Issue connecting Informatica Developer to HDFS
Hi Karol, Try changing the hostname from sandbox.hortonworks.com to whatever host name you mapped to the VM IP address that you entered into your C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file on the machine you installed the Informatica BDE trial client. Refer to step 3 on page 3 in the Quick Start Guide at https://community.informatica.com/mpresources/docs/IN_961_BigDataTrialSandboxforHortonworksInstallandConfig.pdf for more information on how to locate and map the VM IP address on the machine where you installed the Informatica BDE trial client. Thanks. Justin-
Hello, I'm trying out Informatica BDE. I've downloaded sandbox VM and client.I can connect to domain and MRS with no problem, but when I test connection to HDFS I get following error: Can anyone help me out here?I can't really do PoC without connecting to HDFS Regards,Karol Ch.

Sandbox Error Violation issue connecting from Flash Builder
I am trying to walk through the Getting started tutorials on the adobe developer site. I am using Flash Builder and I created a Flex 4 project. Other than that I pretty much followed the tutorial steps. In the debugger I am getting the following. Anyone figure out how to fix this. I have tried adding a crossdomain.xml to the webroot of the blazeds server. Does not seam to help.
Warning: Timeout on xmlsocket://localhost:27813 (at 3 seconds) while waiting for socket policy file. This should not cause any problems, but see http://www.adobe.com/go/strict_policy_files for an explanation.
Error: SWF from http://localhost:8400/samples/blaze-tutorial-debug/main.swf may not connect to a socket in its own domain without a policy file. See http://www.adobe.com/go/strict_policy_files to fix this problem.
*** Security Sandbox Violation ***
Connection to localhost:27813 halted - not permitted from http://localhost:8400/samples/blaze-tutorial-debug/main.swfHi. Did you try asking about this problem on the FlashBuilder forum? I don't think this is related to BlazeDS.
BlazeDS wouldn't be trying to connect to a local socket. Also, adding a crossdomain.xml file to the BlazeDS server wouldn't help with this as the player is not trying to connect to the BlazeDS server but to a local socket.
Is the NetworkMonitor in FlashBuilder running? If I had to make a guess, I would say that maybe the NetworkMonitor is listening on that port and the player is trying to connect to the network monitor.
You might need to do something in FlashBuilder to allow the player to connect to the socket. Someone on the FlashBuilder forum should be able to help you.

MacBook Air intermittently has issues connecting to websites when wireless shows connected to the internet. The pages show that I am offline, but I can ping Google DNS. Windows PC, iPhone and Android phone have no issue displaying the same web pages.How do I solve this issue?
Go step by step and test.
1. Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.
Plug it back to the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all the lights are lit properly. It will take a while.
Restart the computer.
Start up in Safe Mode.
http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14204
2. Empty Caches
Safari > Preference > Advanced
Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.
3. Deselect Proxies if selected.
System Preference > Network > Advanced > Proxies Tab
Under "Select Protocol", uncheck any box if selected.
Click "OK" then "Apply”. -
Serious UI issues in SQL Developer 4.0 for Mac
I've encountered some serious UI issues in SQL Developer 4.0 for Mac (4.0.0.13) that impact it up to the point where it becomes unusable.
If the database and tables are expanded in the "Connections" view, sometimes a node in the tree seems to become sticky. Whenever you scroll the up or down, it will immediately scroll back to make the old selection visible again. If you want to work with an item that's outside the current view (e.g. to collapse the "Tables" node), you can no longer use it. SQL Developer needs to be restarted.
If the context menu is opened (ctrl click), it appears in the wrong place. It's too far to the right and bottom. If you then move the mouse pointer towards the menu, a rectangle appears and follows the mouse pointer as if you had initiated a drag and drop operation.
If the "Data" tab of a table is selected and if a cell is clicked to edit the cell value, the text cursor is drawn in the wrong position. It can be off by more than one character and it is often drawn in the middle of a character instead of between two characters. It's hardly possible to edit the cell value as you cannot tell for sure where insertions and deletions will happen. You basically need to copy the value into a separate editor, edit it there and copy it back.
The scrolling in the "Data" tab of a table is a pain. For no obvious reason, it first scrolls downwards a few rows and then jumps to the top (at least using a Magic Mouse). If all rows have been loaded, this problem seems to disappear. But generally, the scrolling distance is far too short. With a long finger swipe, one would expect to scroll the contents by several pages. However, it only scrolls about half a page. For shorter swipes, it's similar. It sometimes only scrolls by a few pixels.
Am I the only one to experience these severe problems? Or is the Mac version not as mature as the Windows version yet?In terms of diagnosis, perhaps not -- probably very time-consuming to debug. I did find some unpublished bugs against dual monitor use ...
Bug 13727841 - FORUM: 64BIT WIN7 SOME DIALOGS SHOW ON DISPLAY 1 WHEN SQLDEV ON DISPLAY 2
Bug 18504928 - NEW CONSTRAINT UI MENU IN TABLE DIALOG AT WRONG LOCATION ON DUAL MONITOR
The first turned out to be an issue in the 64-bit Java AWT libraries, not the 32-bit libraries, and specifically for Windows 7 as opposed to, say XP, but this was all quite a bit in the past and was fixed for 4.0. The second one (on 64-bit Linux), however, just came in yesterday, so you can wait to see if a fix for that also covers your situation or, if you are able, pursue it directly with Oracle Support. -
Unable to connect informatica repository on database
Hi,
i am facing error that unable to connect informatica repository on database
thanksHi,
I am facing the same issue while connecting Informatica Repository to the database.
We have installed Informatica 9.0.1 on Linux 64 bit environment and installed Oracle client 11gR2.
Below are some of the detail to analyze the issue in detail:
Informatica Useer : powercenter
Oracle user: oracle
[powercenter@sun2 ~]$ id
uid=500(powercenter) gid=1000(oinstall) groups=501(oracle),1000(oinstall) context=user_u:system_r:unconfined_t
[oracle@sun2 ~]$ id
uid=501(oracle) gid=1000(oinstall) groups=1000(oinstall) context=root:system_r:unconfined_t:SystemLow-SystemHigh
[powercenter@sun2 ~]$ cat .bash_profile
# .bash_profile
# Get the aliases and functions
if [ -f ~/.bashrc ]; then
. ~/.bashrc
fi
# User specific environment and startup programs
ORACLE_HOME=/home/oracle/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/client_1
export ORACLE_HOME
TNS_ADMIN=$ORACLE_HOME/network/admin
export TNS_ADMIN
PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/bin:/opt/bin:$PATH
export PATH
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH
Tnsping is working fine with the tnsentry given using Informatica user.
[powercenter@sun2 ~]$ echo $TNS_ADMIN
/home/oracle/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/client_1/network/admin
In the Informatica log file we are getting below error message:
Database driver event...error occured loading library [libclntsh.10.1:cannot open shared object file....
I have a confusion here, we have installed Oracle 11g client then why Informatica is looking for 10g library file?
I checked and found there is no file in /usr/local/lib directory.
Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.
Thanks. -
Need Help figuring out security sandbox issue after changing webhost
I'm in the process of switching my webhost from 1&1 shared hosting to a dedicated IP address with a smaller company that specializes in Drupal sites and doesn't know much about flash.
1&1 is still the Registrar for my domain, but I've 'parked' YourGods.com on the Holistic servers and have 'pointed' my site to the Holistic DomainNameServers instead of the 1&1 servers.
After doing this, my Flash site (which is based on the Gaia framework) stopped working, and the Flashplayer Debugger, gave me the following errors:
Error: Failed to load policy file from xmlsocket://127.0.0.1:5800
Error: Request for resource at xmlsocket://127.0.0.1:5800 by requestor from http://www.yourgods.com/bin/main.swf has failed because the server cannot be reached.
*** Security Sandbox Violation ***
Connection to 127.0.0.1:5800 halted - not permitted from http://www.yourgods.com/bin/main.swf
Someone helping me on another thread thought 127.0.0.1:5800 might mean the problem had to do with my paths and that I was trying to access something on my local computer, as opposed to being a standard cross-domain issue where one server was trying to access files on another, unrelated server.
Can someone clarify this?
I Googled 127.0.0.1:5800 and found some stuff about loops between a server and the originating computer but I'm really not sure how to put all of this together.
Is there a way (with the flash debugger or other software) to step through my actionscript code with periodic breakpoints so I can figure out what line is causing the problem?
Or a way to figure out if this is a problem between Holistic and my local computer or Holistic and the 1&1 web servers?
Thanks for any help.Thanks Josh.
I finally tracked this down last night with help from the folks at actionscript.org. I hadn't deactivated my Debugger which runs off of a desktop AIR application - so the server was trying to reach my localhost to run its trace statements. Deactivating the Debugger fixed the problem. -
Background
1. Weblogic 10.3.6.0 running on Oracle Linux 6.5 with Oracle JRockit(R) (build R28.2.3-13-149708-1.6.0_31-20120327-1523-linux-x86_64, compiled mode)
2. Oracle Apex 4.2.1

Steps followed -
1. The oracle users APEX_LISTENER and APEX_REST_PUBLIC_USER did not exist, so I ran apex_rest_config.sql from the APEX 2.4.1 patchset whilst connected sys as sysdba and provided the same password as APEX_PUBLIC_USER for both users.
2. I also ran
grant insert, delete on APEX_040200.wwv_flow_rt$privilege_groups to APEX_LISTENER;
alter session set current_schema = APEX_LISTENER;
create or replace synonym wwv_flow_rt$privilege_groups for APEX_040200.wwv_flow_rt$privilege_groups;
as per Oracle SQL Developer User's Guide Release 4.0
3. copied ords.war to apex.war

NOTHING UNUSUAL IN ANY OF THE WEBLOGIC LOG FILES, EXCEPT THAT IT STATES
'Oracle REST Data Services version : 2.0.6.27.18.06' when I've installed 2.0.7.
Any help much appreciatedFurther to the above post, I thought I'd simplify my Apex Listener install just to see if I can connect to it via SQL Developer
So downloaded the latest version 2.0.8 and decided to configure and run the Listener on my pc whilst still connecting to the same database.
Operating system : Window 7 Pro 64 bit
Oracle Apex Listener 2.0.8
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_25-b17)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.25-b01, mixed mode)
Went through the configuration as above, once started I tried again to access the listener via SQL Developer. This time I received this output from the listener:
INFO: Error: ORA-02291: integrity constraint (APEX_040200.WWV_FLOW_RT$APPROVALS_SGID_FK) violated - parent key not found, occurred during execution of: [CALL, insert into wwv_flow_rt$approvals (user_name,status,client_id,security_group_id,created_by,created_on,updated_by,updated_on) values(/*in:user_id*/?,/*in:status*/?,/*in:client_id*/?,/*in:tenant_id*/?,upper(/*in:user_id*/?),/*in:created*/?,upper(/*in:user_id*/?),/*in:created*/?), [tenant_id, in, class java.math.BigInteger], [client_id, in, class java.math.BigInteger], [user_id, in, class java.lang.String], [status, in, class oracle.dbtools.rt.oauth.ApprovalRequest$Status], [created, in, class java.sql.Timestamp]]with values: [adminlistener, APPROVED, 3858401374580004, -1, adminlistener, 2014-06-23 12:19:18.785, adminlistener, 2014-06-23 12:19:18.785]
SQL Developer responded with an Authentication Failed titled dialog with the following displayed in the body of the dialog
Cannot connect to DEV.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how best to tackle this?

Connect Oracle Developer / Designer to Oracle 10g XE database
I have installed the Oracle 10g XE database on my PC. Also on the same computer I have installed Oracle 10g Developer Suite (Designer, Forms etc). The database runs ok without problem. However I cannot connect Designer to the database. I know a listner program (e.g. tsn listner) has to be installed for the purpose of connecting to the database. When starting the XE database a listner program also is started.
My question:
What do I have to do inorder to have the Designer connect to the XE database?
R. CarsonIs there any changes should I do?!Well sorry but I don't know. This sugesstion to copy sqlnet.ora file resolve my problems to connect with Developer 6i to 10g, but that is 10g EE in my office, not XE at home...
Anyway your sqlnet.ora file look like very "default" but maybe is that O.K. on XE?
Who knows?

ARD 3.6 Admin on 10.8 having issues connecting to 10.6 machine.
basically i have no issues connecting to any of the 10.7 machines in the office (all have 3.6 client installed now).
have no issues connecting to 10.7 machines that have dual monitors (most).
no issues with the few 10.4 and 10.5 machines i still have. nor any of the Xserves on 10.6 nor one single-screen 10.6 desktop i have.
BUT... there is *1* 10.6 machine that i can not connect to. the only main difference between it and other 10.6 machines is that it has dual monitors.
when it connects i only can see the external monitor showing up. then just pure black on the primary laptop screen. if i switch views to show one or the other... stays the same. a black screen on the main laptop display. if i switch to the black screen one and turn off 'scaling' i can only see the bottom half of the screen... but placed in the upper half of the viewer (with black beneath it). i can interact with it... but only with the things i can see on the bottom of the screen.
if i swap which is the "main" screen on the client in Displays (dragging title bar to other screen) ... there is no change. i can only see the external.
on a few of the 10.7 machines with dual monitors i *did* see a similar problem after installing 3.6 client. but after a restart they have been perfectly fine. only happened on a few machines though. not all.
so i restarted that dual-monitor 10.6 machine (it leaves the office frequently lately) and there was no change. turned Remote Management off / on. no change. resintalled the 3.5.3 ARD Client (no 3.6 on 10.6) ... no change.
the only change i did see... was that my ARD admin no longer can connect to it at all now (!!!). never times out either. just "Connecting" forever. however with direct client-style Screen Sharing i could connect. and there was no change.
the client machine itself is a Late 2009 MacBook (rubber bottom style). 2.26 C2D with 4GB RAM.
anyone else seen anything similar with 10.6 machines with dual-monitors connecting from a ARD 3.6 Admin on 10.8?
the machine itself can't be upgraded beyond 10.6 for the time-being (it needs a couple PPC apps with no replacements that are Intel). so that currently isn't an option.I have similar issues.
10.7.4 running ARD 3.6. Connecting to laptops running 10.6.... "when it connects i only can see the external monitor showing up. then just pure black on the primary laptop screen."
Trying the same thing from ARD 3.5.2 running on a 10.6.8..... same problem.
Trying the same things from ARD 3.4 running on 10.5.8.... works perfectly well. Can switch between dual or either views...... -
Issue connecting touchpad to WPA2 PSK network
I have an issue connecting my touchpad to any WPA2 PSK networks. The SSID is broadcast and other devices can connect but the touchpad errors with "unable to associate" even though I typed in the correct password. Any help is appreciated, and no I do not want to change the network settings since this device is supposed to utilize WPA2.
Post relates to: HP TouchPad (WiFi)Hi Terabyte,
I don't mean to take over deltatuks thread but as we are having the same issue i'll continue!
I have power cycled the router and turned off/on the wireless on the device. I've just ran the tests and they all passed! including wifi! lol.
Still not working though.

Connect SQL Developer to APEX 4.0
I've just installed SQL Developer 3.0 and i want to connect it to my 10g XE database.
I APEX i have an account with all my applications tables and procedures, etc. The problem is that i can't access this account from SQL*Plus or from SQL Developer.
Any tip about how to connect SQL Developer to my APEX account?
Kind Regards,
Cearnau DanHi,
With SQL Developer you connect to database user/schema.
It is totally different thing than Apex users.
Apex users "lives in" workspace.
And database user/schema is what you assign to Apex workspace and use as application parsing schema.
I'm bad explain, but check this
