BDS images in custom logon HTML

Hi, In ECC6.0 I have some images in our BDS(se78) which I would like to use in a custom HTML that I've created for a custom ITS logon screen. I have seen some of the responses to similiar questions but I cannot believe that it is this complicated. All I want to do is to use the HTML tag <img src= ?????> where the question marks contain the path to the BDS document in question. There are 2 functions which seem to make sense namely 'SAPSCRIPT_CONVERT_BITMAP' followed by 'DP_CREATE_URL' which give me a URL. However this returned URL, in this case "SAPR3://45695AF5466C48D4E10000009C2CA0FB", seems to be quite useless when used in an
<img src="SAPR3://45695AF5466C48D4E10000009C2CA0FB"> tag context. I'm also quite surprised that there isn't a utility within the class builder to link to the BDS documents. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi Raja, thanks for the link, however in my case it doesn't really help as it forces the user to logon to the WAS to view the image. In addition I would have to dynamically build the wasserver link part as it would be running in different environments. The simplest thing to do so far seems to be copying the image to a network drive and referring to it from there. This seems to be stable and quick as long as there is security over the folder containing the image in the network drive.

I have changed the configuration of the logon's branding-image and branding-text through their properties on the config tool. With the standard logon all works fine, but I have customized the logon's PAR and I Have changed the authscheme.xml, and now, the images that i have changed don't appear on the screen. I just want to know if there is a way to fix this changing only the properties on the config tool (as the stadard does) or as i have changed the standard logon's PAR to a Custom logon's PAR, I must manage this images within this new custom logon's PAR?. Custom image in system logon

    In the (z)cl_icf_basic_login->render method I am trying to add image apart from logon group ,for ading image I performed the code shown below..

image = clur_d2_factory=>image( ).

but in iv_guid parameter we have to pass the guid of the image but hw to find the guid of the custom image..

I built a website for a customer using HTML only, so it would work on everything, but some of the text numbers are not clear on the ipad. It works perfectly on all the other browsers.

I built a website for a customer using HTML only, so it would work on any browser, and it works perfectly on everything except ipad safari. I'm loosing information with most of my text numbers - instead of being black they are displaying a 'ghost' image (white) of the numbers.
Is this a memory issue, or cache issue, or something else? I've downloaded iCab and the site works perfectly with it.
Also wondering if I can manually reload/refresh web pages in iPad Safari.
Since most people with iPads will use Safari rather than iCab, I have to tweak this site to work in Safari.

Detecting phone numbers and making them clickable is a feature of the browser, and rebuilding your web-site links will not make any difference. Its done when the page is shown in the browser, not when the page is created.
According to the Safari iOS developers guide, you can turn these data detectors off using this code:

Inserting an image into Clearbox with html code

Hi guys,
I am using Clearbox to make pop up boxes so I can use text and images in it and I am editing them with html code.
This is the code that I have (default for clearbox html)

Copy that block of code and save it into a js file with the name "fancybox_definitions" in the fancybox/lib folder.
Then add the other "calls" to Fancybox files to your header. It should work from there.

Need URL for BDS image

Hi. I recently uploaded an image file to the business document server through SHDI. I would like to display the image in a picture control on a custom screen, but I don't want to use a transaction variant or screen variant. So I need to get the URL of the uploaded image. The file name as provided by SHDI is 'SAPIM:TA_VARIANTS_IMAGES//THRIFT_SAV//systemlogo2.bmp'. I also uploaded a gif version. Does anyone know of a method or function module that I can use to get the URL for this image? I tried using DP_PUBLISH_WWW_URL, but that only will get images from the web repository (so far as I can tell). Any ideas? Please note that I am on R/3 version 4.6C. I'm using the load_picture_from_url_async method of class cl_gui_picture to load my image into my custom control.

I solved my own problem. It turns out that I can use methods get_info and get_with_url from class cl_bds_document_set to get my bds image. Sample code was in program SAPRDEMOWORD97INTEGRATION, in case anyone else needs to see it.

Background image of custom master page just shows for 1 second.

Hi,
I have created a custom master page from a html code and I have applied to it on my site collection, but when I open it on the web browser the background image just show up for a second or less and then the background turns white.
I'll aprecciate any suggestions in order to solve this.

According to your post, my understanding is that Background image of custom master page just shows for 1 second.
I recommend to change the class to use .main-content.

You can also use a contol called cssregistration. Add a line that looks something like this, right below the existing csslink:

Image not displayed in html output used webservice to store in a location

we have used webservices to store the pdf and html outputs but the problem is when we are seeing the preview in the bi publisher we can see the image in pdf and html but when we run through webservices and see the output files that are stored in some location image in the html output is not displayed but in the pdf we can see the image.
i have used the direct insertion image option in the header section. is the problem because i have used the direct insertion.
can you give the idea how to import logo from an external location so that we can check the if it is problem with direct insertion or problem with the webservice as we are storing the output files outside the catlog but it may not be wrong because in pdf we can see the image.
I am not having any idea how to solve thsi issue..

Please state which BI Publisher version you are using.
In case it is 10g then please always test the application with the latest patch first!.
BTW today there is been a new patch 11846804 released for 10.1.3.4.1 (March 2011).

How to create Image as Custom Property Type used in Configurable Web Part?

I wanted to create custom configurable web part property for Image.
Example - the screenshot of Image property used in Image web part is shown below:
My goal is to create as many images as possible in custom configurable web part.
I tried to write the code:

However, the result does not display Image configurable web part property.
I wonder why the data type Image does not cause the custom web part to have Image configurable web part property.

I have examined that context node __00 has been enhanced,and has a class name z___00. But when I created a new attirubute by right click " Attributes" with wizard under context node __00.There is still a error message "view is not enhaced or copied with wizard".
But when I created a method "getvaliation " in the class of context node zcl__00, the attribute 'valiation' automatically created(at the same time the method "getvaliation' automatically created for the attribute 'valiation') and I need not to create attibute 'validation' by wizard . It seemed as if the problem is resloved. But when I make test for it in web ui .There is a runtime erro message.
Do I need to make some configurations in the business object layer for the checkbox? but the checkbox is only used as a flag to decide whether a backgoud job is needed to be executed.

I have done exactly that in one of my applications.
I have extracted the image from the database as a byte array, and displayed it using a servlet.
Here is the method in the servlet which does the displaying:
(since I'm writing one byte at a time, it's probably not terribly efficient but it works)

     }Then in my JSP, I use this:
<img src="/path-to-servlet/image.jpg"/>
The name of the image to display is in the URL as well as the path to the servlet. The servlet will therefore need to extract the image name from the url and call the database.

Custom Logon Screen Problems

Hello, i am facing with such problem:

I try to develop similar application at NW CE 7.20 (using documentation for 7.20 - [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce72/helpdata/en/23/c0e240beb0702ae10000000a155106/content.htm]) and had the same problems.
There is at least one mistake in documentation:
"To avoid inconsistencies in class references, add the class folder of the logon logic application to the libraries of the Java build path of the imported logon UI application.
You can find the class folder of the default logon logic application
under the following path:
<ASJava_Installation>/j2ee/cluster/apps/sap.com/com.sap.security.core.logon/servlet_jsp/logon_app/root/WEB-INF/classes"
There are no such folder on server. I tried to add tcsecumelogonlogic_api.jar which can be found at similar location: <ASJava_Installation>/j2ee/cluster/apps/sap.com/com.sap.security.core.logon/servlet_jsp/logon_app/root/WEB-INF/lib After that my application compiling successfully (without that i have errors compiling/validating original file "logonPage.jsp" and others which are using beans from mentioned JAR). But after deployment i get NoClassDefFound/InstantiationException error. btw, all mentioned things in documentions was done exactly as written in documentantion and with different variations many times but without success.

Custom logon module not called by the portal

Hi, all.
I need some help urgently on this new portal requirement. There are some sensitive ESS/MSS iviews that we need to give the users an additional logon challenge. The normal ESS/MSS iviews will be using SSO. This one will still use SSO, but have to pass the userid/password challenge.
We have decided to use the authentication scheme. Also, the "form" logon stack has been modified with only one logon module, which is our customized one. Here's the extract of our authscheme.xml:

The authscheme is called coo_secure. When a user clicks on the iviews with the coo_secure authscheme, a userid/pwd prompt pops up. But it does not accept whatever I type in. From the defaulttrace, I do not see any hint that our customized logon module was ever called.
Is there anyway to turn on portal tracing to see what is going on?

But I am not able to get my own custom login module with the custom authscheme running.
If I access my specific IViews that requires additional custom authentication I get the portal login page again. After giving login data I get the error message:
Java iView Runtime
An exception occured while processing your request.
If this situation persists, please contact your system administrator.
If you solved your problem, can you please share the solution with me?

Customized Logon Message: Failure in uploading the login warning message

We need to upload a security banner for our customer on the Unity Connection Servers.
Following the directions in the help file to upload a text file in the Cisco Unified Operating System Administration page, under Software upgrades / Customized Logon Message, I get the following errors when trying to upload a text file. The text file is named loginWarning.txt.
Any ideas?

Why custom logon error messages doesn't work in WAS 7.0, EP 7.0?

I managed to get custom error messages in WAS 6.40 / EP 6.0.
I'm using JAAS custom Login module for user authentication and from there different Login Exceptions are thrown.
I have modified logon.par file to display different error messages like "Logon ID is empty", "Password is empty", "Your user ID or password could not be validated. Please check and try again."
When i copy the same code into my working environment i.e WAS 7.0 / EP 7.0, it doesn't work, message always was "User Authentication Failed". Do anyone knows the reason why i was like that?
Can you please explain exactly when the custom login module gets executed after the user clicks on "Logon" Button.
In logon.par file i have not seen any code to execute JAAS - custom logon module. PLease explain exact execution flow ..

Your card reader might be finicky like mine. Figure out which device your card reader is at (from what I'm reading probably sdb), then attempt to mount /dev/sdb to any location. If your card reader is like mine, this mount will fail but you'll find you now magically have /dev/sdb1, /dev/sdb2, etc devices, which will successfully mount... oddness, but it "just works" so I'm happy
Note that if you plug a card into a slot that is to the kernel, for example, /dev/sda2, then try to mount /dev/sda1, this will (obviously) fail, so be sure to try mounting all the devices that magically appear (if any do).

Embedding image in export to HTML

We are using SAP Crystal .NET runtime v13.0.9.
We export to HTML 4.0 and embed the report output within the body of an email (not as an attachment). The report contains a link to a static image using an http URL using the Formula Editor.
When received by the email recipients, the image is not visible and upon reviewing the source, it looks like the http URL is replaced with a file location ("C:\...").
How can we ensure that the URL remains as the link to the image in the exported HTML output rather than being replaced by a file location?

What happens when you export the report the HTML to local disk?
Does this also happen when you export the report to PDF?
