You may also want to consult Service Registry dev2dev page at http://dev2dev.bea.com/.
I know the problem is due to old JCE installation.I have downloaded the JCE 1.2.2 and tried to solve the problem. But I could not solve the problem.I will be highly grateful if somebody can show me how to solve the problem.I am having SUN JDK 1.4.2.
I'm facing the exact same problem.
<Nov 2, 2007 3:05:14 PM MET> <Error> <HTTP> <BEA-101216> <Servlet: "Registry Servlet" failed to preload on startup in Web application: "registry.war".
I'm curious to get an idea what is causing it.
Looks like a config file with some touch in the security space is read but the read ends prematurely.
Thanks

AquaLogic Service Registry installation
Hi all,
i'm facing some problems in registry installation. The product is installed successfully and i could navigate to the homepage. The problem is when i try to create new account/login from the homepage. these activities redirect the page to a secure connection HTTPS, which is not coming up. Is there any config specific to SSL (like including certificates), if so where should that be done and what are th resources required for the same.
Thanks,
PreethaV.make sure the application server is up and running and you are not installing into an instance which already has SOA Suite installed.

Disabling SSL in Aqualogic Service Registry
Hi All,
i have installed and deployed Aqualogic Service Registry (ALSR) on weblogic server 9.2. However, by default, SSL is enabled during installation. I tried disabling SSL using Weblogic Admin Console but that didn't help. Is there a way i can configure ALSR war to disable SSL?
--VivekHi James,
As I am using ALSR and not OSR and also, deploying it on weblogic server (since, ALSR doesn't support oc4j server), I don't understand why i need to put this question in SOA suite forum.
Installation of ALSR creates registry.war that eventually gets deployed on weblogic server. ALSR doesn't allow me to choose SSL enabling, it choses it by default which is not the case in OSR.

.I have used the oracle's OSR installation guide. I beg to differ if OSR is really enterprise ready product.
I dont think this is a specific problem with my installation. The point is that the installation logs is very poor to put it mildly.
you get a sense that this product is developed by school student and is not an enterprise ready software.

Senthil RHi Senthil,
Could you pleae confirm if "localhost:1521:uddinode" is the correct connection detail.
Most likely the SID "uddinode" or the port number "1521" is incorrect. If the problem persists, please post your "TNSNAMES.ORA" and "LISTNER.ORA" entries here.

Re: BEA WorkShop 8.1 Installation Problem
Ganesh,
Does your company firewall require a username and password ? Just to verify
you are downloading WebLogic Platform 8.1.1 right ?
can you also verify that the file name is net_platform811_win32.exe and size
is 21.9 MB (22,990,848 bytes)
I will check with engineering on what might be causing this error message.
Thanks

Hi,
I am trying to install BEA Workshop on my machine.I downlaoded thenet_platform811_win32.exe

When I am trying to install that, after the last question(ie:Givingtemp

GaneshramNutan,
This looks like an issue because, the error states that you get a 407 when
accessing
http://bidslb.beasys.com:80/bids/version?name=wlw8110_549_COMP_win32.jar
Can you accessing the above mentioned url in your browser and let me know if
you get an error ?
I would also suggest contacting BEA customer support at support.beasys.com
and requesting that an evaluation case be opened.

Shared Services / WebLogic Installation Problem
Hi,
I'm starting an install of 11.1.1.3 on a Windows 2003 EE R2 and have run into problems with the automatic deployment of the HSS application server. It appears that the config tool cannnot "reach" or start the WebLogic admin console.
Details:
WebLogic 9.2 MP3
hyperion has been created as a WL Admin
Node Manager is running on port 5556
Any thoughts or suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks
MarkAre you just trying to do a standard automatic deployment? If so, the node manager doesn't really have much to do with that -- has anything been deployed on this box already?
The first thing the config tool is going to do is deploy the admin server, then Shared Services; has the admin server itself been deployed at this point?
Check your Hyperion Home directory and see if there's a .\deployments\Weblogic9 directory; if there is, go to .\bin under there, and look for 'startWebLogic.cmd'.
Before running that file, open a command prompt and type:
netstat -an | findstr 7001
7001 is the admin server port; if it's already running, you'll see a LISTEN entry there. If you don't see a LISTEN, run startWebLogic.cmd, wait for it to start, then run the above netstat command in another command prompt. If you now see a LISTEN command, try logging into the admin server:
http://<wlhost>:7001/console
Login is just 'hyperion'.
If that works, great! Try your Shared Services deployment again.
If there is no HYPHOME\deployments directory (this is created when the admin server is deployed), clear out the config tool log (HYPHOME\logs\config\configtool.log), try the deployment again, and then copy the pertinent sections here.
Remember also, the config tool -- in an automatic deployment scenario -- is going to create its own weblogic profile, called hyslProfile. If you already have existing weblogic domains running on this box, Hyperion isn't going to use them -- if you do, and they aren't in use by anything, it would probably be best to just remove them. It's possible that if there's another non-hyslProfile admin server running on :7001 on that machine, the config tool could be getting confused.

OSR - Oracle Service Registry won't create database datasource
Current configuration:
Oracle 10g database
Oracle Service Registry 10gR3
Oracle Weblogic application server 10.1.3
I have tried many ways to install the registry (GUI, command prompt, config file) but my datasouce is not getting created. In the /log/install.log the flag to create the datasource is set to "yes" and the name is also set. I don't see any kind of msg/error in the install.log or in the weblogic log. One other thing the registry deploys just fine during installation so all the information seems to be ok. Since the datasource is not created, i get the following exception which is expected since there's no connection to the database:
ERROR: account.com.systinet.uddi.account.database.DBAccountApiImpl - DatabaseCoreException: (12021) Cannot obtain new connection.
ERROR: account.com.systinet.uddi.account.AccountCoreApiImpl - Initialization of accounts has failed in the database. Database is not running.
ERROR: group.com.systinet.uddi.group.database.DBGroupApiImpl - DatabaseCoreException: (12021) Cannot obtain new connection.
ERROR: group_core.com.systinet.uddi.group.GroupCoreApiImpl - Initialization of groups has failed in the database. The database is not running.
The only way to make it work is to create the datasouce manually. In the environment that I'm running the less steps the better.
So thank you for any ideas/help that you can give me!Oracle Service Registry Installation to Weblogic
1. Run installation
java -jar oracle-service-regisry-10.3.jar
2. In the Oracle Service Registry installer proceed through the following screens
* Installation Type screen: select 'Standalone' or other type of installation
* Installation Directory screen: enter folder where OSR will be installed i.e:-
/home/oracle/OSR/osrregistry_10_1_3
* SMTP Configuration screen: (optional) accept defaults
* Administrator Account Configuration screen: admin user account details
* Database Setup screen: create new New Schema / Database or connect to existing schema
* Database Selection screen: select Oracle or other database you may be using
* Oracle screen: enter database details and schema information.
3. Data Source screen: IGNORE this for Weblogic servers. Only affects Oracle Application Servers.
4. JDBC Driver Selection screen: search and select JDBC driver i.e. JDBC 1.6 for Weblogic:-
$WEBLOGIC_HOME/wlserver_10.3/server/ext/jdbc/oracle/11g/ojdbc6.jar
5. Account Provide Selection screen: select 'Database'.
6. Application Server Selection screen: MUST SELECT 'Oracle Weblogic 9.2 or 10.3'
7. Deployment to Oracle Weblogic Application Server screen: enter correct Weblogic details such as:-
* Weblogic HTTP Port: AdminServer port i.e. 7001 or a managed server port i.e. 7003
* SSL Ports (optional): i.e. 7002
* Hostname where WLS resides.
* Application Server Context (name of application).
8. Also on this screen there is the option "Deploy at the end of the installation" which will either deploy the OSR application to Weblogic after it is installed (selected option) or just deploy a WAR file to the command line and get deployed to Weblogic at a later stage (de-select option).
9. Deployment Details screen: If selected Deploy at the end of the installation in the above screen, then the following screen will be displayed which allows you to enter details of where to deploy the application in Weblogic. Enter all relevant details:
* Weblogic home: enter the folder where Weblogic resides (WebLogic server installation directory) i.e.
$WEBLOGIC_HOME/wls_servber1013
$WEBLOGIC_HOME/weblogic92
* Java Home: enter the path of the JDK i.e.
$WEBLOGIC_HOME/jdk160_05
* Hostname: host of where to deploy application.
* Admin Username | Password: admin details for weblogic server.
10. The summary screen is shown regardless of if deployed to Weblogic or not. Press [Next] to install OSR.
11. After successfully installing OSR a screen will detail that the installation has been successfully installed and with what tasks that need to be completed.
Deploy OSR to Weblogic
1. If in the installer the Deploy at the end of the installation option was not selected, then the OSR application needs to be deployed via the Weblogic console. So log into the Weblogic console, press Deployments and then Install.
2. Install Application Assistant screen:
* Enter the path where the OSR deployment WAR file (registry.war) resides. It is found in the following path:
$OSR_HOME/conf/porting/weblogic/build
* Select file file registry.war.
3. Complete the rest of the installation/deployment whilst selecting a target server.
POST INSTALLATION
The following MUST be done to be able to log into the Oracle Service Registry consoles.
1. Edit the following Weblogic file:-
Linux
$WEBLOGIC_HOME/user_projects/domains/<domain_name>/bin/startWebLogic.sh
Windows
%WEBLOGIC_HOME%/user_projects/domains/<domain_name>/bin/startWebLogic.cmd
2. Modify the following line
JAVA_OPTIONS="${SAVE_JAVA_OPTIONS}"
to
Linux
JAVA_OPTIONS="${SAVE_JAVA_OPTIONS} -Djava.security.auth.login.config=$OSR_HOME/conf/jaas.config"
Windows
set JAVA_OPTIONS=%SAVE_JAVA_OPTIONS% -Djava.security.auth.login.config=%OSR_HOME%\conf\jaas.config
OSR Console
1. Go to the Oracle Service Registry on Weblogic
Service Registry
http://<host>:<port>/registry/uddi/web
Business Service Registy
http://<host>:<port>/registry/uddi/web
2. Press Login and enter login credentials and should be able to successfully login. -
Hello All,
I'm trying to install JES5 (java_es-5-ga-linux-x86.zip) on RHEL4 and getting errors during the install. I have installed and uninstalled 2 or three times on this server. I have attached the errant installation summary file and the critical part of the install log below. If someone can point me in the right directiron or tell me where else to look for more details on what might be wrong. I'd appreciate it.

CLI157 Could not stop the domain domain1.|#]Howdy, it looks as though the Application Server did not install properly, and as a consequence the Portal server fails to install.
Please make sure that you have un-installed all components properly first before re-installing... See my previous post.
If it were me, I'd install the Directory Server and Application Server first... After a successful install of Application Server, re-start the installer, selecting Portal Server and Access Manager. When doing so, make sure the Application Server and Directory server can be started prior.
By the way, have you seen the following blurb in the documentation from Sun , see: http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-5025/6n74td5j0?a=view
Remove the link /usr/share/bdb/db.jar before installation, if it exists.
Check ant already exists on the system by running the following command:
rpm -qa | grep ant
If a version of ant below 1.6 is installed, remove it by running the following command:
rpm -e ant-older-version ant-libs-older-version
You need to use the version of ant sun-ant-1.6.5-2 to install or deploy Portal Server. When you run the installer, it is automatically installed at /opt/sun/bin/ant.
Next make sure you following Sun's Documentation on the installation process, bar installing App Server and Directory Server first, see: http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-5025/6n74td5j3?a=view
If after all of the above, and your still unable to install portal server, please log a support call with Sun, 1800 555 786 quoting your support contract ID.

Factory Instantiation Problem when publishing WSDL in Service Registry
I have installed SOA Suite 10.1.3.1 and OSR 10.1.3. and am trying to publish a WSDL for a new business created as admin. This causes an UDDI error, though:
"Invalid WSDL location! WSDLException: faultCode=CONFIGURATION_ERROR: Problem instantiating factory implementation.: oracle.j2ee.ws.wsdl.factory.WSDLFactoryImpl."
I checked the jars in {oracle.home}/j2ee and couldn't find WSDLFactoryImpl in any of these. It is contained in orawsdl.jar under jdeveloper and bpel, though.
Anyone seeing the same problem or are you guys able to use the OSR and publish services ? Hints on how to patch the OSR classpath ? (I am running it as standalone within OC4J).
cheers,
Diegoyes, I do have one tip:
..don't install in the "home" instance. Well, to be more precise, don't install in the same instance as your BPEL PM and ESB - which by default is the "home" instance.
You have to create a new instance (e.g. "registry") for your OSR, see "Integrating Oracle BPEL Process Manager with the Oracle Application Server Service Registry", page 2-32, step 6 in the "Oracle BPEL Process Manager Administrator's Guide".
