Service Pack Installation problem.

I'm having problem installing service pack on my system, I tried SP3,5,6
they all have the same problem.
I must have done something wrong. If I remove the service pack from my
classpath then I can start it up fine.
I followed the procedure from the manual. I'm using JDK 1.3 and have tried
JDK 1.2.2_005 as well.
Here are the error messages:

  • Service pack versioning problem

Can anyone help me solve service pack versioning problem please. This
problem may solve some of my other problems.
I am trying to check if my service pack has been installed properly or not.
I issue following command from command prompt:
    C:\>java weblogic.Admin t3://localhost:7001 VERSION
I get the following error: "Failed to connect to t3://localhost:7001 due to:
[java.net.ConnectException: No server found at T3://localhost:7001]"
At this time, I have weblogic 5.1 installed with service pack 2 installed.
If I run server seems to be running, and connecting to my
database.Eventually I am planning to upgrade to SP6 and run with jdk1.3.
2nd problem: When I make JAVA_HOME= JDK1.3, wls does not run.

Thanks Mike, you are right. The server was not running while I was testing
    service pack test.
And service pack is installed. Thanks
WLAS5.1 does not run once I change JAVA_HOME TO "C:\jdk1.3.0_02", that
    where I have jdk1.3
I get following error message:"wlserver.exe has generated error and will be
closed by windows. You will need to restart the program."

    1) You WLAS does not seem to be listening on port 7001 of your
localhost. Is it listening on a different port? Running on a
    different machine?
    2) What error message do you get when trying to run WLAS with
JDK 1.3? WLAS does definitely run with JDK 1.3

  • MSI VOX Service Pack 2 Problem

It seems that the VOX driver does not like service pack 2, upon installation it says that the service pack is higher than the one supported and the product will not work properly.  I was wondering if theres any way to get around this other than uninstalling service pack 2?  Any response would be nice...!

seems i had to goto the msi website and redownload driver and reinstall it and it seemed to work fine after.  having lots of problems with the remote though, on the short end it really sucks hard to press hard to get used to, sigh* but i guess nothing can really be done about that part =/.  Eh, you get what you pay for right?

Under service pack 3, you need to regenerate the string representation
    of
the ior for the naming service. Did you do that?

I am directed by the software to download service pack 3 but I am unable to download.  Update is loaded about half way and gives me a message " unable to complete download.  I have tried three times without success and therefore cannot use new wireless router.  Any suggestions?"

Connect the computer directly to your modem. Then make try the update again. It should work. If not, you should check your Windows installation or consider a reinstallation.

  • Crystal 11 - Latest Service Pack loaded - problem with Kyocera printer

    Post Author: sorrock
    CA Forum: Integrated Solutions
    Hi
We are using Crystal 11 Report Writer, and Sage ACCPAC.  Since Upgrading our ACCPAC all the crystal reports that ACCPAC utilises are coming up as garbage on the preview screen.  I have ruled out a sage issue by opening crystal directly and opening the respective report, the garbage still appears, if I change the printer that it is set to then the report appears fine.
The printer is a Kyocera  -  fs-c8026n   the driver is a Kyocera Mita extended Driver.
Any other printer is fine - so I am looking for anyone who has had problems with a Kyocera printing garbage.
I have loaded the latest service pack for Crystal.
Can anyone please help - apologies if I have put this on the incorrect forum
    Thanks

    Hi Jim,
You can upgrade to CR XI R2 for free by downlaoding the trial version, install using your XI keycode and then getting a keycode for XI R2 to enable all features.
Or to upgrade XI only then install the latest service pack will bring you up to date.

    Hi,
Installing SQL 2005 through SQL4SAP.VBS will install its available service pack 2 automatically (or) Do we need to install manually.
It will automatically install in the process of SQL server installation.
Later you can even install SP3 which is available on Microsoft website.

  • Need SQL Server service packs installation procedure

    Hey Guys,
I am in the process of installing service packs to my SQL Server 2008 and R2 editions, I was searching for the installation procedure in technet for this but nothing was provided for this, I tried to read the
"readme" and setup documentation provided in the SP 4 download page but its useless since its redirecting again to some other page which again points to same download page, It makes me wonder if there are any procedures provided by Microsoft for
this. Let me know if anyone has it. I don't want to follow any third party websites/ individual bloggers providing best practices/installation procedures.
My Environment: SQL SERVER 2008/ R2  (STANDARD)  and these are standalone

Copy the patch files to the server
Run the patch file and follow the on-screen instructions
Select the instances that you wish to patch
    Allow the patch to finish
Reboot if a reboot is required (the patch will tell you if there were any locked files)

  • MSCS SQL Server Service Pack Installation

    Dear All,
We are using Microsoft Cluster and i completed Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Installation on Cluster.
Now when i am trying to Install Service Pack 2 of SQL Server i can't get success when both node are running.
But when i swhiched off Node 2 and did installation on Node 1 i get success.
But after finishing Installation on Service Pack 2 i can't get that service pack on Node 2.
Here i want to confirm that i have to do installation of Service Pack 2 on both node ?
    Regards,
    Nikunj Thaker.

    Hi,
Have you run the SQL 2K5 SP2 upgrade on the other node. What happens is that you upgrade the SQL Server binaries on the Clustered instances but not the local files.
If you run SP2 on the "Passive" node it will upgrade server compoments that are not cluster aware (like SSIS). I normally upgrade the Client Components first on the passive node, reboot and then upgrade all components on the active node afterwards.
On a standalone machine - all components are upgraded at the same time - both per instance and the server components so you won't have that issue.

  • Does Service Pack installation modify the repository db ?

    Hello,
Does anybody know if installation of Service Packs on a old XI R2 platform modify in some way the repository database ?
The purpose of this question is this :
My production platform is XI R2 SP1, and I would like to upgrade to SP4 without any risk for my users.
To do that, I wonder if building a new platform with SP4, testing, and then shutting down the old CMS and linknig the new CMS to the production repository would work.
It should be the case if SP doesn't need new structure or data on the repository database...
Can anybody confirm that this works ?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Francois,
I presume you're on some flavor of Windows. If that's the case, do the following to copy the CMS db (once your new system is up and working):
    1. Stop the CMS from the CCM.
    2. Right-click on the CMS --> Properties.
    3. Switch to the configuration tab.
    4. In the CMS Data Source section, click on Specify.
    5. Select Copy data from another Data Source.
This will copy data from your Production data source to your new environment.
As for the FRS, you do not need to copy the FRS folders. Once your CMS db is copied, you only need to point the I/O FRS of your new (SP4) environment to the FRS locations of your old(SP1) environment.
Please do ensure that everything is backed up though (i.e. FRS folder structure and CMS db).
Also, if Auditing is enabled on your SP1 deployment, it would be best to turn off auditing before stopping the CMS, copying the CMS db.
    Best,
    Srinivas

  • Regarding Service Pack installation

    Hi Guys,
Excuse my ignorance on the subject but could any of you tell me if the installation of a service pack is client dependent?
Let's say that I have a DEV, a QAS and a PRD clients.... can I install a service pack in DEV first and then move the changes to the following systems?
    Many thanks,
    Brodo

    Hi,
When SPs are applied in one instance or system, It is available in all clients of that instance.
SPs have to be applied in all the systems in the landscape.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Service Pack Installation

    Hi guys,
I know this answer, but I can't remember it.
Are SPs incremental, or comprehensive?  I have to take a GRC product from a lower service pack to the latest, and there are about 4 packs in between.  I forgot whether I need to do each one, or just the final one.
Sorry - I should know this.  Also, does anyone have a slide deck (from Frank Rambo, perhaps) on 5.2 service packs?
    Thanks,
    Santosh

    Santosh,
SP for JAVA: You can go to the latest one (cumulative)
SP for ABAP: You have to install them sequentially (incremental).

    Hi,
if your Notebook just boot up with connected AC Power Supply, there could be an failure of the Battery Charging Electronic causing this problem.
Also could be an defective Battery causing this failure.
Best way to get a save diagnose of your Notebook,is o contact an Toshiba Authorized Service Partner for a check up.
Look at http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com, click on "Support & Download" and look for "Find an authorised service provider".
