Begginer Thread problem. Wait 10 seconds and run() agian..

Question

Hello everyone, I'm a newbie with threads and I have a simple problem.
I need to execute the thread once, wait 10 real seconds and the execute again. This should go on and on until I tell it to stop.
here is a very simple class I coded so you tell me where is the error:

int counter;

public ThreadTest() {

System.out.println("Times: " + counter ) ;

Probably a better way to do this would be to extend Thread.
public class HappyThread extends Thread
      boolean PleaseStop = false;
      public void run()
            while(!PleaseStop)
                 sleep(10000);
                 System.out.println("Times: " + counter ) ;
                 //do other stuff
       public void pleaseStop() { PleaseStop = true; }
}Then in your main you can just do
Thread Happy = new HappyThread().start(); then call Happy.pleaseStop(); to request the thread to stop at the end of the next loop (well the begining actually).
