Begs for these feature changes/suggestions

1. *Use real "time stretching"*, any length the composer likes. Even with audio that was not recorded with Logic. Apple Loops are not necessary. Hate to refer to Live and Cubase, but they don't need any special "Loop" encoding to stretch audio at aill.
( the 'time and pitch machine LOOKS really cool and 3-dimensional, but it is all in all not very understandable ).
2. *BOUNCE AUDIO ONTO A TRACK*. Logic is the last remaining DAW on earth that doesn't render audio ONTO A TRACK in the song.
It hides the audio in the Bin, forces you to find it, create a new track, and move it manually to its original record position.
3. If a track is named "Vocals 1" or "Reverb Bus" in the arrangement, it should be known by that name EVERYWHERE in the project. Right now, a single track in the arrangement has 2 different names, and still a third name in the drop down menus. ( "reverb bus" a.k.a "aux 4" a.k.a. "bus8" ).

1. Option-drag the bottom right corner of audio files. Yes, there are length restrictions or some odd handling with this.
2. True, and agreed. You can at least now thought record audio from one track directly into another track via a bus, which at least is better than nothing.
3. Well, a track is not the same as a bus which is not the same as an aux or bus channel. Logic leaves you to organise things how you want. Personally I'd rather name thing how I want than have the software enforce this, but I understand your point. You can name tracks, audio channels, busses and aux/bus objects, so if might make sense for you to set up some regular mixer naming conventions in your autoload template.

  • Some feature change suggestions

    Hi,
I would like to make a few suggestions about changing Mac OS X features. I'm curious as to whether other people would
    agree with my suggestions.
    1. the default tab-setting mechanism on the rule seems at first glance appropriate for a variable-width font environment. Tabs are no longer definable
as a standard number of characters. And also in a word-processing environment it allows tabs to be set in non-standard places. On the other hand, having to move those little triangles to EXACTLY the right place, if you happen to be using a (for example) text editor that allows (for example) unlimited page width, is
a royal pain in the butt.
SUGGESTION: define somehow (I can't quite visualize it yet) a standard 'space' width, and specify how many of these a tab represents. Then it will
automatically place those little triangles at the appropriate locations all the way to infinity on the right. If you want to vary some easy enough.
NOTE: can always define a standard 'space' width as the width of a particular character - e.g. 'A' will create 'wider' tab stops than 'i' and certainly
    2. I think it was a BIG mistake to get rid of the little arrows at the extremes of the vertical and horizontal scroll bars. Especially the vertical. I have a number
of really big pages (e.g. in excel) and having to position the scrolling thingy EXACTLY right is excruciating at times. It's a waste of time
    3. Is there some Cocoa object that allows COLUMNS of text, like in a newspaper? I know you can put in a table, which sort of does the same
thing. Is that it? Can you have a table with invisible lines?
    That's it for now.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ken Quirici Cocoa programmer manqué

I think they should also give the option of a directions list.  I had this available on my other navigation app and it was a wonderful thing.  I like to have a sense of where I am going before I start my trip.  I also believe that it is safer for myself and other drivers out there.  Preparation is key.

  • Suggestion for new feature

I am sure two features commonly available in dj programs like Traktor and Mega Seg would make iTunes even more usable.
#1 Variable tempo and pitch controllers.
    #2 A automatic beat counter
I run a dance school/nightclub and except for these features I would use iTunes exclusively for teaching annd djing

I suggest you make your comments known to apple...

  • I hate it when they change all the keyboard shortcuts. Is there a fix for these?

I don't understand why Adobe thinks that consistency is a bad thing, but it seems that everytime they update they go jerking with my keyboard shortcuts. Last time it was Indesign, this time it Photoshop that has me complaining. Usually I can change things back to the way I like under Edit/ Keyboard Shortcuts... but this time they've really done it.
Probably the 2 sets of shortcuts that I use the most over the last 15 years of using Photoshop, thus have become a natural reflex, when using the program are Toggling between CMYK channels via cmd-1,2,3&4, (sorry using cmd 3,4,5&6 is just completely unnatural) and Fit to Window (cmd-0). I cannot find a menu selection anywhere that would allow me to change these back, and Fit to Window has been completely removed from the view menu altogether! WTF?
I guess I could get used to the new channel key commands if need be, but no Fit to Window? what is this world coming to?
Anyone know of a workaround to this problem.

Heh...found the ad-copy I wrote for AccessPad Pro:
You're a power-user. The applications you work with do your bidding like YoYo Ma's Cello, like Perleman's violin, like Bill Evans' piano.
You've customized the way your applications openall the Tools and Palettes show up right where you like them. You may even have a few custom workspace arrangements for different purposes. You switch between them with a mouse click, and you're ready to go.
You've made brilliant use of Actions, Macros, Scripts and other built-in time- and effort-saving functions.
You know hundreds of keyboard shortcuts, and have spent time reassigning the defaults to more deftly meet your needs. You've assigned F-key shortcuts to some of those functions that don't even have shortcuts.
You're a power-user, but you've run up against a couple things that put a brick wall in front of your ever-increasing efficiency.
Firstyour keyboard is designed for typing actual text. It's been that way since the dawn of the first mechanical typewriters. The way the keys are arranged are meant to make it easy for your fingers to find the keys. Even if you use the arguably better Dvorak arrangement for key assignments. Even if you have one of those split-and-angled "ergonomic keyboards, they're still designed to do one thing well: Let the user type text as efficiently as possible.
Your keyboardwhatever the specieswas never meant to be an efficient, ergonomic way to access the shortcuts you depend on. For your current keyboardnay, ANY keyboardto perform optimally as a shortcut access device, you'd do well to have a third hand, or a freakishly long set of fingers that could bend 360 degrees in any direction.
SecondYour keyboard only allows a finite number of shortcuts. If you find yourself wishing and begging for just one more F-key, so you wouldn't have to get rid of some of your old shortcuts just to add a newly discovered "must-have", you're out of luck. It's about impossible to find one that has any more than 16 F-keys. Even if you could find a keyboard with more user-assignable keys, there's still the matter of the first problem, that is: How to reach them easily and quickly?
Forget all of those hassles, starting now.
The AccessPad Pro, by Phosergistics, is a computer peripheral designed from the ground up to allow youthe kings and queens of all power usersto have access to a virtually unlimited number of shortcuts. It sits on your desk, opposite the hand you use for operating your mouse. You rest your hand on it, in a comfortable relaxed manner. Notice where your thumb naturally falls. Right there, under your thumb, you find that there are buttons that replicated the Command & Option keys found on your keyboard. They can be pressed and activated independently or in tandem.
Under the heel of your hand is a somewhat larger button. Press down slightly, and you'll enable the same behavior as the Shift key on your keyboard.
Using your thumb and the heel of your hand you can enable 6 combinations of modifiers.
Now, look at your fingers. Beneath where they naturally rest on the AccessPad Pro you'll see six gracefully curved rows of buttons, 4 in each row. These buttons are arranged ergonomically, so the slightest curl of your finger can find and press any of the 24 buttons.
Let's do some simple math: 6 combinations of modifier keys, multiplied by 24 easily reachable, user-assignable function buttons...The AccessPad Pro gives you comfortable access to a whopping 144 shortcut assignments, all without moving your hand.
But that's not all. 144 shortcuts isn't enough for you? No problem. You can have a virtually unlimited number of these 144 shortcut sets, user assignable to work system-wide, or on a per-application basis, and you can load any set, any time you want. And because these custom shortcut assignments are written to a preset file using the industry standard XML scripting language, you can save these sets as tiny text files which you can share and trade with users on either the Mac or Windows platform.
You're a power-user. Forget about trying to grow a 3rd hand. Forget about wishing you hand foot-long fingers.
Use your mouse for moving your cursor.
Use your keyboard for typing text.
Use AccessPad Pro to speed up everything else you do on your computer. Try it for a week and you'll wonder how you ever worked without it.

  • Are these features supported in CR4J SDK or Crystal Reports for Eclipse 2.0

    1. Does this Java (Viewer) SDK supports export-report to Excel format feature?
    2. Suppose the report has a list parameter; this parameter is associated to a connection/command; values for this parameter is grabbed as a result of a simple select query. Will the report, while opening for view, shows the parameter with drop-down values pulled from database? This means, before showing the report in the browser, report has to execute that select query stored in the report and populate this parameter list. We do not prefer to dynamically (programmatically) feed the parameter and its values into the report just before viewing.
    3. Does the sort control feature supported in creation as well as viewing time, in this Java viewer SDK. (If the report is a simple column report, viewing user should be able to sort by any of the columns)
If any of this feature is not supported, please give me some suggestions on which version (free or paid) has these features.

    1. It supports export to Excel(data-only) format.
2.Yes, this feature is present . To see demos please check this link

when you opened the shared library with the newer version of iPhoto (iPhoto '11) you were given a warning that your library would be converted and could not be used by older versions - you clicked ok to go ahead - there is no updo available - either upgrade to iphoto '11 of the MBP or load your backup of the iPhoto '09 library on it - older versiopns of i{Photo can not read newer libraries

  • What is proper way to report suggestions for app features And bugs to Apple

What is the proper way to report suggestions for app features to Apple? Or, do they even want suggestions?
And, how about reporting app bugs? Should I just assume the bug is already known, or is there a way for (quickly) reporting them?

I'm not sure about bugs in non-Apple apps, but bugs in Apple apps can be reported via this form:

  • Your "suggestions for future features" is broken??!!

I really just wanted to leave you a suggestion for future features. Your system took me to a page that said i needed to be on the most recent version but alas I am! You even tell me so when I go to firefox.com! Hmmmm...... a little problem there.
Regardless, here is the feature suggestion i wish to make:
You've done a fine job of cleaning up the top bar in 4.0 to make the most of new widescreen displays so that we have more space for the page content vs. the browser stuff. The deal is, virtually all sites still use only about a third of the page width leaving tons of wasted space on a full screen view. Why don't you offer a way to move all the browser navigation, tabs, and tools wherever i prefer - like running vertically down the left or right side of the massively empty pages i see on my 24" monitor and even my little 11" laptop monitor?

You can leave your feedback/suggestion at this link: Apple Product Feedback

I just changed my apple ID because I needed to change my e mail account. My new ID updated on all of my devices except for iCloud on my phone. My phone however will not recognize my new Apple ID for iCloud? Any suggestions?

To change the iCloud ID on your phone you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the new ID.  If you only changed your ID and didn't create an entirely new ID, you can choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted.  Your data will download back to your phone when you sign back in.
Save any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll before deleting the account.  Deleting the account deletes the photo stream photos from your phone.

Are the Panorama and HDR features not supported in LR 5.7.1?
I installed the update, but they do not show where the tutorial shows below Photo/Edit In.

These features are only in Lightroom 6/Lightroom CC, and you would have to purchase Lightroom CC or Lightroom 6 (or use the 30-day free trial and then purchase it).

  • Lobbying for new features

    Folks,
I'm in need of some help.
I'd like to lobby for features to be added to LV and hoped I might get
    the development community to assist.
    The features are
    1) arrays of attribute (property in LV 6i) nodes
    2) multiselection ring controls
If you believe these features would be handy, please go to link below
and add them as a suggestion. I've heard that if "enough" folks request a
feature then it'll get a high priority in the next release. If you don't
know what I'm talking about ... read on.
    http://digital.ni.com/lvwish.nsf/lv+wish
The first feature, arrays of property nodes, refers to the ability to
creat an indexible array of property nodes to effect changes on an array of
front panel objects. Say you've got an array of buttons and would like to
change the labels on the buttons, or their colors, etc. Currently, this
isn't possible, because the all elements in an array must have the same
display attributes. Wouldn't it be outstanding to be able to index into an
array of property nodes and change the label on a particular control without
affecting all the others in the array? This allows one to control the
visibility of elements in the array programmatically, blink elements that
are not valid, or need further attention, highlight numbers in an array that
    are out of bounds, etc.
The second feature deals with a slight modification to the ring control.
I'm constantly building interfaces where I'd like to select 2 or 3 items
from a long list. Say a channel list, select channel 1, channel 2, and
channel 31... or a reaction list. I find multiselection lists boxes hard
to apply because they take up so much space, seems you need to be able to
see at least 1/3rd of the list to interact with them. The drop down ring is
an excellent tool, you can see the entire list, but it doesn't allow one to
select more than an single item. If you had the ability to select multiple
items in the list from the drop down ... then you'd have something!
If you think these are helpful additions ... please take a moment to let
NI know via the link above.
    thanks,
    Bill --

    Hello Jim,
Thanks for the suggestions ... I may have misinterpreted your response, but
in 6i I don't think you can create an array of attribute nodes corresponding
to the individual elements in a front panel array. I tried an array of
buttons, selected one of the buttons and created a reference, fed it into an
attribute (property) node and set it to invisible and all elements in the
    array went blank.
Your suggestion about the case structure is a good one for static displays,
but if you've got a display you'd like to resize at run time, then you need
arrays. Consider a situation where you'd like to display the boards
installed in a pc and indicate in red boards that are not connected properly
(has open thermocouple connections for example). I'd like to be able to
show the board names as labels on an array of buttons with the array sized
at run time based on the number of boards in the PC... then change the
color to red of the button corresponding to the board with the problem.
When you click on the button you'd get a message and a trouble shooting
    screen for that board....
If I miss interpreted your response, please try again,

  • Variant price for one feature is missing -error in sales order

    Hello Experts,
I am working on a SAP implementation project for a premier automobile company...
I have stuck on one point here in this project SAP is a back end system. So sales order will generated based on the interface feed from a legacy system.
We have Identified to have two different variant classes in SAP sales order. one will contained all vehicle specification, this will be used by PP for MRP and other variant class will have only optional features and all these features should have variant price in VA00 (maintained as pricing record) in pricing. if any of the feature don't have price then this sales sales order should through an error massage (we will customized this error message as per clients requirement)
Can any one suggest the relevant sales order user exit or any other method to do this check?
    Thank & Regards,
    Sulabh

    Hi Sulabh,
In standard procedure any component value of VA00 not picked by the sale order system doe's not show any kind of message.
Use exit MV45AFZZ - USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMK.take the help of ABAPer he will write the logic where the VA00
value missing in sale order system should through the error or warning and message which will illustrate the problem, according
to that user will check and maintain the price.

  • How to get the order for these decorations?

    hello,
I want to programatically resize all the controls, indicators and decorations on the front panel.
I am getting the references of all the controls and indicators and able to resize them, as each n every control and indicator has a tabbing order set to it.
I am also getting the references of all the decoration used on the front panel but not able to get the order.
how to get the order for these decorations?

The order of the decorations is the same as the back to front order. So you
can change it by bringing decorations to front, or sending them to the back.
It has been suggested many times that decorations should have labels as well
as controls, but at the moment there is no way to tell which reference
belongs to which decoration (besides position and order).
    Regards,
    Wiebe.
