I purchased a New Ipad Mini the latest with A7 chip and M7 Retina Display. I cannot download any apps. When I click apps Iphoto will appear .
I dont need to use Iphoto. I want to download Candy Crush Saga. And below my Iphoto logo there's a word " waiting". Isnt it that Iphoto is built in to this Ipad Mini? I want to download Imovie apps or any apps but I cant..What should I do Apple..
If you're having problems with the App Store you might try this:
1 - enable the Debug menu in App Store:
open the Terminal application.
copy the command below and paste into the Terminal window:
defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true
followed by Enter.
launch App Store, login.
2 - select the Debug ➙ Reset Application option:
3 - try again to download the app of your choice.

What is the meaning, or significance, of the greyed out word “installed” next to the iBooks app icon in the iTunes lists of apps on my new iPhone6, or slightly older iPad mini, retina display? Both devices have iOS8.0.2 installed. Both are having problems downloading some books that had been purchased previously for other devices. And, before installing iOS8, the full list of had been downloaded to the iPad mini with iOS7.
Finding out what the greyed outness means may help me figure out how to get all my books loaded on both devices. Any suggestions how to do that also would be appreciated.Thank you. Your explanation of why the word "installed" is greyed out makes sense. But that raises the further question of why then is it shown at all. There are other apps on both devices that can not be removed,and they are just not shown. This is the only app that has the greyed out "install" notation. All of the other apps shown are either identified by "remove" meaning it is installed and can be removed; "install" meaning it is not installed but can be; or "update" meaning it has been replaced by a more current version which can be installed.
All of the books that I want to install have been on an iPhone4 that was replaced by the iPhone6, and were on the iPad Mini with iOS7 before iOS8 was installed. Installation of iOS8 on the iPad removed all of the books and only a few of them were later added by syncing with iTunes. Since most of the books I am interested in are free or of small cost, I would be happy to delete all of them from iTunes and then reinstall the ones I want directly on the devices. But I have not been able to delete them and when I try to install them on a device I am told that they already have been downloaded. Very frustrating. -
Looking for an information management solution. I have three boys that have brand new ipad mini's. I would like to set them up to manage information the easiest way.
My first thought was to use my apple ID for their apps and purchases. This would give me the advantage of seeing everything downloaded and be able to monitor this closely. The disadvantage to me, was that they would see all of my contracts, my apps, and my music.
My other thought was to create one new apple ID and to share that among the three boys. This way I would not have to worry about my information being on their ipads.
This is a very confusing situation for me. My goal is seperate my stuff from my kids stuff. Appreicate input from anyone who has in-depth experience with this as it applies to apple ID, icloud ID, and any detailed explaination of how to do this would be appreiciated. Thanks.I think I will do this. I will use my apple ID and set face time and message to work independently. That solves one problrem. My other problem and maybe my bigger problem is that if I am using my apple ID, how do I iflter all of this so that my kids don't see my contacts, get my apps, etc. ?

Are you trying to use the phone in Bahrain with a supported carrier there? I suspect not. If you try to use this phone outside of Bahrain, you won't have FaceTime. This is done to prevent folks from simply crossing the border to purchase iPhones in Bahrain...FaceTime is banned in Saudi Arabia & the UAE. Sorry, but you'll only have FaceTime on that phone while using it in Bahrain on a supported carrier's network there.

My iPad mini retina display wifi 16 GB is showing blank white display and is like frozen. I can't shut it down or restart. It was working perfectly till 13/4/2015 night and next day morning it showing this problem.There is no physical damage to my iPad and is in perfect good condition. I updated the latest OS 8.3 version 3 days before this issue happened. I took it to the apple authorised service centre but to my shock they told the display and unit has to be replaced which will cost me Rs.15000/-. It's just been one year and 7 days only since i bought my iPad,i.e, just 7 days out of warranty period only.I don't find any fault with the hardware neither no physical damage is there. Need help to sort out this issue.

I have a brand new iphone 4s unlocked version from singapore and I am experiencing constant network fluctuations on my iphone , no service, call failed, invalid sim, sim failure, bars fluctuating from 5 - 3 - 2 - 1, no signal/bars searching etc... Ifeel miserable after trying out all the options changed multiple sims, tried multiple carriers, restored the phone back and have set-up as new device but the problem does not get solved... its is so frustrating that after investing on a world's most expensive phone you cannot enjoy the calling features which the phone offers which is the main thing you own the phone for.. Rest of the things are working.. The funniest part I am not able to make calls or receive calls but can access the internet.. I have tried every possible thing and really very frustrated with this iphone of mine...I hope the problem gets solved.. would anyone have any solutions to this problem.. Does it mean one should never update software as I hear that after updating to IOS.5.1 the problem has started coming and same has been with there.... Apple says its a hardware failure which is very difficult to digest as sometimes I get 5 bars and able to make and receive calls but 95% of the time I am unable to. If anyone has any solution I will be very happy if he or share can share the same. Many thanks. its so disgusting to experience this on top of this apple does not support global warranty for the phone as you need to go to the country from where you bought the phone for replacement.. Truly sad state of affairs.. very very very dissappointing.

If it's an Intel Mac, you can upgrade it to Mac OS X 10.6.8.
If it's a PowerPC Mac, you need to use these instructions and/or iTunes Match to put content on the iPad.

When configuring my new iPad mini retina last weekend I first ignored the questions on the installation of the free iWork apps.
Now I would like to install them but I only find the paid version in the App Store. What am I donning wrong. Or was it a missed opportunity and bad luck for me.I had exactly the same problem but my son told me I had to update to the most up to date ios first. Currently it's only got version 6.1 on it, and it didn't say there was an update available but when I click "check for updates" it started to install version 7. I believe you need version 7 installed first, then if you go to the Store, it will say the software is free to download. I'll check back once it's finished installing the update and let you know.

Either the power brick is damaged, or the charging circuit is on the blink, or both. Either way, a trip to the Apple Store or the Apple Authorized Service Provider is in order, as this ain't no bargain basement toy.
In the meantime, can attempt an SMC Reset to see if it helps. -
