Best Internet Gateway Solution

Hi,
I have implemented ASA 5520 as the main firewall. The outside interface is connected to a cisco router and the router is connected to an ISP. I want to make my security system more secure. Which product is the best as the internet gateway solution. Which licenses are required for this one and what is the,cost for each license. Where can I find the DMZ diagram recommended by cisco ?

What is the cisco router doing on the outside interface? does that have a Firewall feature on ( ZBFW, CBAC).
If that is not the case I would go with the ASA as the border gateway so we can avoid malicious traffic from offending the router processes,

My advise is..
If you do not have at least two game consoles behind this router, turn off UPnP in the router.
This is done in the router at Advanced -> UPnP.
By game consoles, any two..

It is not the wording but the lack of detail.
The iPhone connects to both the phone network (3G, LTE, etc) and to WiFi networks. Which one (or both) are you having issues with?
If it is the phone network, go to Settings->Cellular and see if Cellular data is turned on globally AND for the apps you wish to use.
If it is a WiFi network, go to Settings->Wi-Fi and see if you are connected to a network. If so, touch the circled "i" next to the network name and see that you have a valid IP address, etc. (take a screen shot and post it if you don't know what to look for).

Behind the router you access the internet through Local Ares Connections, So Internet gateway is not needed to go online. About access computers through LAN make sure you have enabled File and Printer Sharing and Setup the computer names and Gateway properly.

IPv6 on internet gateway

we have 12410 GSR (PRP2) as internet gateway peering with 6 global ISP , and receive full internet routintg from them, CPU is high especaily at BGP scanner process,we are planning to enable IPv6 on this internet router so we can not expect what will happened with the performance and CPU,please advise.

I do not understand what are you asking here. But if you are asking what platform I would be recommanding for a defaultless router running both a full BGP table in v4 and v6 well, I am not qualify to recommand such platform but I would recommand to start with an impementation plan. Decide wht you want to achieve and a timeline.
Also if you are running a production network, be very wary of changes.
I would rather deploy a second platfome and start using it for v6 leaving alone the v4 production network. Otherwise, you might end up disrupting service.

Fail to enable internet gateway

Hi, I am an IdeaPad S10 user.
Since yesterday I could use LAN to surf Internet and my wireless seemed to receive signals and connected.
But my internet gateway was ALWAYS disabled, even when I right clicked it and tried to enable it, it said "connected" in the popped-up window but still shown to be disabled. And I can't open any webpage or use internet at all through wireless.
Want to ask what to do with it? Thank you!

if you have not already then restart the laptop and if that dosent work go to the system prefences network and disconect and reconect to the network you want and that should do it

For some people Time Machine will be more than adequate. Time Machine is part of OS X. There are two components: 1. A Time Machine preferences panel as part of System Preferences; and, 2. A Time Machine application located in the Applications folder. It is used to manage backups and to restore backups. Time Machine requires a backup drive that is at least twice the capacity of the drive being backed up.

Best Internet mail?

I have had a hotmail account for several years. Recently I transitioned to a mac and both safari and firefox have had problems getting to the hotmail site (redirect errors). I want to be able to access email on mac, PC and a windows based mobile device. I thought of "mobile me" but I can not access it through explorer at work. I am now hunting around for another web mail option. I would love to get my hotmail to work but may end up changing email addresses so what is the best internet based mail out there?

Separate internet gateway for a given vlan

In my scenario, I have a layer 3 switch acting as my core/root bridge/vtp server for around 30 vlans. On it I've defined the gateway of last resort to be the lan IP address of my internet firewall. I've brought in a new internet connection and new firewall that I will eventually use as a replacement. I've created a new vlan and put the new firewall in it. Before I change the gateway of last resort on my core switch to be the new firewall, is it possible for me to select a particular vlan, vlan 25 for example, and configure it to use the new firewall as its internet gateway for testing?

Not sure what firewall you have, do not do layer 3 for this vlan on the core router. Create a layer 2 link between the new firewall and the core router. Define the test vlan default gateway as a virtual IP on the firewall on the vlan say 10.100.0.1.
Then on the clientson the new vlan just point them to this 10.100.0.1 as default. on the new firewall just do a static route for 0.0.0.0 to the internet

WRT160N Useable as a switch/access point but not as an internet gateway?

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to use a
WRT160N wireless N router as just a switch and wireless LAN access point and NOT as an internet Gateway? I have a LAN that is not connected to the internet that uses a Linksys switch and I need to get a wireless access point setup so that I can attach a computer wirelessly to this LAN. Occassionally I connect the swich to another router that does have internet access, but in general the LAN is not connected to the internet router.

You can use WRT160N as a switch...Connect the LAN to the Ethernet port of the router and change the ip address of the linksys router in the range of the LAN ip.
