I have the following music video which needs to display on an
opening webpage:
duration: 3mins
dimensions: 350x200
type: mov (ripped from DVD do we can get any format
current filesize as .mov with 60%qualty: 98MB
I tried just embedding but this results in a 4.5mb swf which
I think needs to be preloaded completely before it plays right?
Is there a better way so that it plays as it loads? I'm no
expert at flash or video.. let alone both together!

Yeah, that is not what I am looking for. It is very easy to
load an external video and have it progressively download (Import
> Import Video). But, once that video ends, how do you command
it to go to the next scene.
Once again, i believe I need to add a cue point to the end of
the video. But, I do not know what actionscript is needed to notice
that cue point and move the flash file to the next scene.
I have found this actionscript, but it doesn't seem to work:

Same
• One video on track 1 and the other on Video.track 2
• Resize to 25% and move one to the left and the other to the right
Diff
• I don't use the blade tool
• I use the Pen tool and change the transparency - then I get fast or slow transitions in same stroke and easy to fine-tune later if needed. (But this can be done with the Roll-tool if Blade is used - so it might be as easy)
Final
• Resize to 100% and Center
Video is done
Audio - very close to this by changing the level so that best audio will dominate
• Pen tool here too
But that's me - the Alchroma way is as good as this or may be better for some

I have spent a lot of time saving, organizing and arranging photos (for the last 7 years) on my PC, and would like to know the best way to transfer these, AND MAINTAIN THE ORGANIZATION OF THE FOLDERS, to my new ipad (and later, my iphone). I have a really good system, and I do not want to have to do it all over again, on the ipad. I DO NOT want to subscribe to another monthly service fee (i.e. the iCloud) but DO have iTunes on my PC.
What is the simplest method to do this ? I have tried synching, but, each time have lost photos (on my ipad) OR have had NO ORGANIZATION AT ALL to the photos once synced. I have all these photos (5.6gb) in the My Pictures folder, then subdivided into years, then subdivided into events and months within the years. So, my transfer of the My Picures folder, completely transfers all of them, but with NO further organization. Again, I have spent years doing this, and don't want to have to re-invent the wheel.
Can someone advise (or even better, lead me to a youtube video) that accurately shows the best way to do this ?

p.s. I particularly enjoy Dan Nations very informative articles on how to get the best from my products. And, wish Apple would explain "how it works" regarding the syncing methods on the Operating System. It is the only thing I "don't get" about using my iPad..... meanwhile I LOVE my new mini ! ! ! ! ! ! ! thanks Apple, for keeping things simple.... Please don't change that !Correct, it will only be one-level, the Photos app doesn't support sub-albums - the sub-folders photos will be included in the parent's album.
If you select My Pictures at the top of the Photos tab when syncing, then you should get an album for each folder that is directly under it - so if I understand correctly what you described then that would mean an album for 2013, one for 2012 etc. And each of those should include all the photos in the subfolders under it - so 2013 would include the photos from the events and months subfolders under it.
You can't sync them separately, only the contents of the last sync remains on the iPad, by not including a folder in the next photo sync you are effectively telling iTunes that you no longer want that folder/album on the iPad so it will be removed and be replaced by the contents of the new sync (you can't delete synced photos directly on the iPad, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next sync).
The app that I use, Photo Manager Pro, allows you to select and copy a folder (via FTP), but you would need to select each subfolder individually, which if you have a lot would be time-consuming (I think that if you select '2013' it would ignore the folders beneath it). -

Thanks for any tips.Probably each cover page is different too. I would probably just bite the bullet and do each individually. I would create the 2 cover pages in WORD or other word processor and print to cover.pdf. Then open a PDF and Pages>Insert Pages or the cover.pdf to the front of the open PDF and save as to the current PDF. Then repeat 299 times. Each time you would make the appropriate change to the DOC file and print a new cover.pdf file (you might want to turn off open in Acrobat for this processing in the printer properties to save time). Probably a good idea to keep a list of the files to check off what has been done (you can generate a list in DOS by Start>cmd, change the directory to your location [cd path], and do "dir >>list.txt". That will give you a list to use.). There may be an easier way, but by the time you get it figured out you might be done this way.

you can use iMovie to record a video for free on a Mac with iSight.
1. Open iMovie HD
2. Choose “Create a new project”
3. Name the project for example “iSight Movie” (first field). In the second field, let the default location “Sequences”, in the third one, video format, choose “iSight”. Push “Create”
4. iMovie window opens, next to the scissors, choose the camera (Camera mode), then iSight. Now you appear on the screen, right?
5. Press “Record with iSight” in the main picture window.
6. Press the same button to stop. Your new clip appears now in the clip panel at the right.
7. You are done!

i need to insert data in a table (Table_A) that lives in database A
The data i have to insert is in a table that lives a database B
I have a database link from database B to database A
so, connected to database B, i'm trying the following :

This query is taking forever, and i have to cancel it.

p.d. A tutorial perhaps ?Yep you link in now fixed. what most likely happed is when you click on Link tool in the forum, when window open the http:// is already in the window. Most likely you clicked at the beginning of the http and pasted your link.
I always when this window open triple click on the http:// so everything is selected, then hit Delete (I use Mac - PC it would be backspace) so window is completely empty then I paste the link.
But I occasionally I let it happen myself. -

or perhaps a short intro video clip, on a site they own becuase it is playing as flash. since they never had hard copy of the video clip, its difficult to ask themselves for permission, if they don't know how, which is, i'm sure, why this fellow did indeed ask.

What is the best way to share a video with someone in another city?
I know that FCPX contains all sorts of share options which create different resolutions and file sizes appropriate for different sites like YouTube, Facebook, and others. But how to create the videos really isn't the problem.
I want to know how to share them. I'm creating videos that are ultimately to be viewed on the internet. When I have a completed video, I want to show it to the person who it is for before I finalize it. I know that if it very small, I could email it. And if it's larger, I could use something like Dropbox. But I don't necessarily want them to have a copy of it (though I could do that and put a watermark on it).
I'd like to upload it to a site like YouTube or Vimeo, but those sites seem to be about sharing videos with a wide audience. I know you can make a video private on YouTube, but, from what I've read, they permanently have the right to use the content, which I definitely don't want.
So what's the best way to do this? I'm going to have to do it regularly, so I'm willing to pay for a service if it assures privacy and does not try to assert some right to my content.
I know there is an issue to be considered with people screen capturing content, but I'll use a watermark to lessen the chances of that.Hi Russ--

NOW the question is: I need to insert the rows from the term 200490 and 200510 because there is data in the slrrasg table for those terms BUT the data that I need to insert is coming from the SGBSTDN table and there is not data for those terms in sgbstdn, so my user is telling my that it is okay to insert the previous term from sgbstdn for example: for the term 200490 I need to insert trhe 200490 in the szslife_slrrasg_term_code but I also need to insert the row from the 200390(previous one) from SGBSTDN.
The same for 200510 insert 200510 in szslife_slrrasg_term_code but the rows from the term 200410 in SGBSTDN.

If the source data is already in the database, it is centralised.
In that case you ideally do not want the overhead of shipping that data to a client, the client processing it, and the client shipping the results back to the database to be stored (inserted).
It is must faster and more scalable for the client to instruct the database (via a stored proc or package) what to do, and that code (running on the database) to process the data.
For a stored proc, the same principle applies. It is faster for it to instruct the SQL engine what to do (via an INSERT..SELECT statement), then pulling the data from the SQL engine using a cursor fetch loop, and then pushing that data again to the SQL engine using an insert statement.
An INSERT..SELECT can also be done as a direct path insert. This introduces some limitations, but is faster than a normal insert.
If the data processing is too complex for an INSERT..SELECT, then pulling the data into PL/SQL, processing it there, and pushing it back into the database is the next best option. This should be done using bulk processing though in order to optimise the data transfer process between the PL/SQL and SQL engines.
Other performance considerations are the constraints on the insert table, the triggers, the indexes and so on. Make sure that data integrity is guaranteed (e.g. via PKs and FKs), and optimal (e.g. FKs should be indexes on the referenced table). Using triggers - well, that may not be the best approach (like for exampling using a trigger to assign a sequence value when it can be faster done in the insert SQL itself). Personally, I avoid using triggers - I rather have that code residing in a PL/SQL API for manipulating data in that table.
The type of table also plays a role. Make sure that the decision about the table structure, hashed, indexed, partitioned, etc, is the optimal one for the data structure that is to reside in that table. -

Sorry if this is a dumb question, just not sure how to make it work. I need my boss to do the voice over- so I will probably only get one shot.This forum thread offers some options to do this. One simple strategy is to record separate bits of narration for each slide, and simply attach that to each slide. When the presentation is run, the audio file will play for each slide. This approach is much easier than alternatives, but the downside is that it does not allow for narration across slides, which may or may not be important to you. If it is necessary, then you should check out the option (discussed in the thread) of pre-recording the entire narration, then using Soundflower and Keynote's Record Slideshow functionality to create a show with narration.

In what way did you buy your iPhone? If you paid full price at the Apple Store then your phone should be provider unlocked and should work with practically any SIM card you choose to insert in it. If you bought it cheaper with a contract then it's provider locked then your best bet is to call your cellular provider in Canada. Be sure to note your IMEI number (Settings > General > About) as they're going to need it to do an unlock. Be aware they may or may not charge for this.
