BEX Analyzer - Query Crashes Problem

Dear all,
I have consumption of 5 million customers. What i need to do is to group consumptions depend on groups:
Lets say 0-100 USD 100-1000USD 1000-5000 USD in bex analyzer,
my query works fine with less data, however when i run with 5 million customer, bex analyzer crashes when running query.
What can i do that? should it be reletaed with ram? or olap cache? How to run query successfully?

Excel 2007 has got only one million no of rows. restrict your query as much as possible. We also faced the similar issue when executing query based on articles.
Try creating different queries based on groups such as customer group or material group then execute. your system performance drastically goes down if you execute such a big query without many restrictions.

Max number of entries in the variable input list (F4) of Bex Analyzer Query

Dear BW experts,
When I run the Bex Analyzer query, it pops up the variable input screen.
If I don't know the specific value of the variable, then I can click on the input help (F4) to get a list of available values. There is a max number of entries coming back to the list. For my BW system, it is currently returning 500 values. For other people and SAP Help document, it could be 1000.
My question is: Do you know where we can configure/set this max value? Is it a global setting?

Thanks for both of your answers. I think the answers that you provided are for BW 7.X version.
It is flexible and exactly the way it should be for each user to customize a specific variable.
I am running BW 3.5 query, and don't see the "Settings" option/button after I got the list of single values back.
Is there a way to set this up for BW 3.5 query Analyzer? My max value is always 500 for all variables. Is there a place for setting this value and save for the next time.
Any help from any BW experts is appreciated.

Bex Analyzer Filter 0CALDAY problem

Hello,
We having a problem in our BEX Analyzer, when we are filtering the characteristic 0CALDAY with a interval range based in the last days of a month (Example from 21.03.2014 to 25.03.2014), the Analyzer shows the messsage error "For characteristic 0CALDAY, enter value in a permitted format". But if we put the range 01.03.2014 to 20.03.2014, the Query executes without problem.
The same occurs with other months either.
Examples:
Report:
Filter range 01.03.2014 to 20.03.2014:
Filter range 21.03.2014 to 25.03.2014 (PROBLEM):
The same filter, but in single values format:
Could anyone help me to solve this problem?

Bex analyzer - internal error problem with table c_t_variable

HI All,
When ever I try to refresh a query in Bex-Analyzer ,Iam getting "internal error problem with table c_t_variable".

Hi Aparna,
try to open the query in RSRT and debug the query.the error is due to some customer exit variable so try to debug the code for the variable and rectify it.

BEx Analyzer 7.0 Problem

Hi All,
I am using BEx Analyzer 7.0 in a new laptop assigned to me by my customer. It has windows xp and office 2003.
My SAP GUI is 710 version with patch level 11 and BI Add-on 800.
The problem what i face is, after opening Analyzer, when i am clicking on the open button, nothing is happening. No open window is coming. And none of the other buttons are working...
Also, when i hover the mousepointer over the analyzer toolbar buttons, the button name that displays is in German language.
Anybody has any clues about this issue?

Try this
Open a normal excel sheet --> Tools --> Macro --> Security
Select the low security level over there. Because of high security excel can not run macros.
Try this and let me know.

BEx Analyzer Query Selection Variable Screen Issue

We are in the process of applying support packs to our system--BI7.01 and we are going from SP04 to SP10. After the application of support packs, when we execute a query (or a workbook with attached query), the query variable screen that normally appears does not, the query just executes without being able to filter/enter selection criteria.
We are using BEx Analyzer 3.5--long story about not upgrading to BEx 7.x. In our systems without support packs, the queries/workbook execute as expected. I've tried making a variable mandatory in one of the queries as a test and the selection screen then appears; however, we have hundreds of queries.
I've searched SDN and OSS and have found some similar issues, but not a solution. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

We applied to our development system and we are now getting the selection screens, so it does appear to resolve the situation. Thanks again for the information.

Text in Bex analyzer is giving problem

Hi Experts
i have two issues with my Bex analyzer, RSRT and Portal
1. i have report which has Project code and its description (text) when i am runing this report for some project codes the text is not displaying instead it showing space, if i go to that particular project and say keep filter value and select only that value then its showing the text in that column...what could be the reason.
2. i have created variable for my report its displaying perfectly in bex analyzer but in rsrt and web portal...the variable screen is getting ignored.
what could be the reason.

Check the behavior of your web template : parameter "display variable screen" must be ON.

Bex Analyzer query results do not match correct RSRT output

Hi,
When I run my 7.x query in RSRT the results are correct. However, in Analyzer (7.2) the results are wrong.
The query has several key figure quantities filtered by customer exit variables, but they're being ignored by Analyzer. Analyzer is simply ignoring all filtering and summing all available data.
Any suggestions?

Hi,
As your problem is happening in Bex Analyser (Frontend) only and not in RSRT.
Most probably you will need to uninstall and again install your Frontend .
Please make sure that you use the latest Frontend Patch.
This could solve your issue.

"No Applicable Data found" message in BEx Analyzer Query

Can anyone help me on this problem? I have encountered this problem when i tried to view the results in analyzer after i completed the database with all the data.

Calendar Day

Material number
Key Figures
Sale representative
No Applicable Data Found.

You key date 31.12.9999, is this the date you entered in a variable? If so I presume you don't have data on your system for this time period.
If you take the date filter out of the report do you see data?
Also check if there are any conditions on the report that may be active.

BEx web query execution problem

Dear All,
While running a BI query through BEx Query Designer, it is generating portal URL as:
http:///irj/portal/ .....
instead of standard format
http://<hostname>:<port number>/...
For our project, EP is out of scope. So, how can I make this work. (as far I know, /irj/portal points to a enterprise portal link)
Please correct me where I'm wrong.

I did include the hostname, which in my case is the solaris zone name. It doesn't work.
Moreover I am using template installer for BIPost Inst steps. Out of 17, I face error in step 12:

Hi,
the note suggested by Orla is exactly the one that should solve this issue. But the parameter REUSE_XL_INSTANCE is not relevant here as it will not be used at all in RRMX when launched from SAP Gui 7.20 after this note has been implemented.

Bex Analyzer Query Corrupted

Hi All
I have a query in Production Server which got corrupted by a wrong formula and saved subsequently and it doesn't open anymore.
I can delete it by RSZDELETE. However there is a good version of the same query in the Development Server. How to give a Transport Request to this Query and transport it to the Production Server...Please give your idea on this.

Hi,
Goto the query designer and do some small change(like adding a field) and save the query. It will ask for transport request. Save the query in the transport request. Then undo the changes and then save the query and transport the query. You can also collect the query in transport connection and transport.

NW 2004s Bex Analyzer Variable screen problem

Our BW system was upgraded from 3.1 to NW 2004s (SPS 8/FEP 9).
When we refresh the query in the workbook that has multiple queries, then the variable screen displays the variables from all queries.
For example: Query 1 has Posting Period single value variable, Query 2 - Posting Periods interval variable. When Query 1 is refreshed, the Variable input screen will display both variables - Posting Period single value variable and Posting Periods interval variable.

In BW 3.5 we had, if we have a Workbook with more than one Query, while refresh, if our cursor used to be outside the Query area, then it used to ask "Do you want to refresh all Queries on Workbook", if we say, it used to refresh all the Queries, by Promting Variable Screen multiple times.
"Melt" kind of function in this case should help.
But do we have method to refresh one query of the sheet only and not rest of them. I am afraid you may say no. But thought to recheck at least once more.

Problem in executing query in browser and bex analyzer

i am not able to execute query in browser nor bex analyzer...
problem is that i dont have option to run in bex analyzer in query designer (menu bar seems missing in query designer and how can i get enabled
and when execute the query in browser using bex query designer ..it prompts me with following error

Note
■The termination occurred in system ERD with error code 403 and for the reason Forbidden.

and i tried to open the query from bex analyzer level
it prompts me as follows
macros are disabled because the security level is set to high and digitally signedtrusted certificate is not attached to the macros,to run the macros change the security level to lower settings

i am using sap gui 7.20 front end and when i execute rrmx i am able to navigate to BEx analyzer but when i tried to open a report which i create i get following error message..
you do not have sufficient authorization for infoprovider zic_proj
function module /SDF/AL_MAP_TRANSID_LOGH doesnt exit
second thing is that i tried from bex query designer to execute the report ..but i am not able to execute the report...
i hope some connections seems missing..please let me know what to do ASAP..

Problem with bex analyzer v7

I have installed SAP GUI 7.10 and everything is working fine, but the bex analyzer. The problem is that I can see the Toolbox but when Im clicking on the icons of the toolbox it does not work at all, it does not execute anything, so i can not open or edit queries and so on. I have tried to install the last patches (bw 11 and 12), but I can not, I got a message that the patches already exist.
I would like to know what should I install for making it works..hopefully someone could help because I have tried almost everything and I dont know what is the problem.

I do not mean it, i do not need to launch the correct version of the analyzer from the bw system via rrmx transaction. My problem is that wehn i launch the analyzer via windows like this:
start -> Business explorer -> Analyzer
I can not use the functionalities of the analyzer, they are inactive. The point is: Is it something related with the SAP GUI installion? Have something to do with excel? Or with the windows service pack??
I have installed in my computer the following:
- SAP GUI 7.10
-Windows service pack 2
- Microsoft office 2003.
