BEx in IFRAME 2004s

Hi
Has anyone tried to load a BEx webtemplate or query in an html <iframe>.
i tried taking the url of query that works in the browser.
the putting it in a simple html page like this.
test.htm
<iframe src="http://sd2n1v3.sap.kmd.dk:52200/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fplatform_add_ons!2fcom.sap.ip.bi!2fiViews!2fcom.sap.ip.bi.bex?&TEMPLATE=ZKMDFOA_SP0001&VAR_NAME_1=ZZISPPRSKO&VAR_VALUE_EXT_1=000001"></iframe>
If i load my web template in an iframe the iframe just keeps reloading.
Does anyone know how to cope with this.
The IFRAME thing worked perfectly in 3.5.
Any help is appreciated.
Br Rasmus

Hi,
I can see several problems :
1) I think you should remove the '&' juste after the '?'.
2) The relaoding problem for us was due to the "standard" URL which we changed into http://sd2n1v3.sap.kmd.dk:52200/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.ip.bi.web.portal.integration.launcher?template=...
3) You are using old Web API with BI 7, there is a new Web API, check in this forum.
Best regards,
Guillaume

The look and feel of this BEx is different from that of BW 3.5 Bex.
Can anybody suggest me some good documentation about the new Bex Analyser?
Any kinda reply for this is appreciated.

  • BEx keep reloading in IFRAME

    Hi,
We need to embed BEx template and query in a HTML iFrame, the putting it in a simple html page like this.
    i-frame
    http://ep.negc.com.cn:50000/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fplatform_add_ons!2fcom.sap.ip.bi!2fiViews!2fcom.sap.ip.bi.bex?&TEMPLATE=ZHR_W001 i-frame
but the page just keep reloading.
I found the same issue in BEx in IFRAME 2004s there is a guy said "The relaoding problem for us was due to the "standard" URL which we changed into http://sd2n1v3.sap.kmd.dk:52200/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.ip.bi.web.portal.integration.launcher?template=..."
When i tried this, got u201C No esid foundu201D or ,Per Note 1166422, it says: com.sap.ip.bi.web.portal.integration.launcher is an SAP internal component and using the same in your iView URLs is not supported.
    Could anyone give suggestion?

    Hi
I was initially going to suggest you run the template from the WAD, and then use that URL, but I see that is the URL that you 1st tried.
An alternate is to create an iview of the web template, then preview the iview, and use that URL. I get something like this:
    http://itretbidev.itretgrp.net:50100/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtmode/preview/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fSpinneys!2fcom.sp.iViews!2fcom.sp.Retail!2fcom.sp.SAH!2fZD_RET_SAH_001?sap-config-mode=true
Perhaps that will help you out.
    Cheers,

  • BEx System errors while using RSTT trace

    Hello,
We are having several problems while using BEx SapGui NW 2004s SR1 Presentation - 6.40 Compilation 5 and SAP Netweaver 2004s BI AddOn Patch Level 801 (Bw700SP08P_801-10001615.exe). The system is and ABAP+Java implementation in Stack 7.
For been able to trace problems in BI Planning we activate the RSTT trace for local BPS1 user (the one used in development). When activated, no BEx query cannot be opened, raising error "Overflow when converting from 389", so we cannot trace any issue.
    Any help?
    Thank you and regards,

  • BEx Not Reusing Excel Sessions

Since installing SAP_BW Support Package 19, I have a problem when trying to run more than one workbooks in BEx Analyzer.  The first workbook opens OK, but subsequent workbooks give the following messages:
    Call cl_rsr_excel_launch -> Execute with workbook ID  = 'Y0OE1EH5H988SERG06VAV557B'
    Call cl_rsr_excel_launch -> Execute with genuniid  = ''
    Call cl_rsr_excel_launch -> Execute with hide_sapgui = ''
    Use BEx Analyzer version '2004s'
    Read RSADMIN: REUSE_XL_INSTANCE = ''
    EXCEL.SHEET created using COM
Add-in 'SAPBEX.XLA' has not been loaded yet
    Version 3x loaded = ''
Analyzer requires version 140. The currently installed version is 27
Only the last message is an error.  The others are informational.
On the front-end, I have Support Package 8.
I can open multiple BEx workbooks through the BEx add-in menu.  It is only when I open them from SAP GUI that I get the error.
I looked at note 1152929, but that was for up to Support Package 17.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Dave

    Thank you for your response.
Yes, we are using 7.x Frontend Patch 800.
I had been working with workbooks and queries that had been migrated to BI 7.
I do have some 3.x ones that I work with occassionally.  I just tried a 3.x as the second workbook and got a slight different set of messages:
    Call cl_rsr_excel_launch -> Execute with workbook ID  = '40NLNTG8TL0W13PXY03HDDLOI'
    Call cl_rsr_excel_launch -> Execute with genuniid  = ''
    Call cl_rsr_excel_launch -> Execute with hide_sapgui = ''
    Use BEx Analyzer version '3X'
    Read RSADMIN: REUSE_XL_INSTANCE = ''
    EXCEL.SHEET created using COM
Add-in 'SAPBEX.XLA' has not been loaded yet
    Version 3x loaded = ''
Analyzer requires version 140. The currently installed version is 27
Again, only the last message is an error.

  • Front end issue (how to handle the existing work along with new one)

We have upgraded a copy of our production system and are analyzing different pieces to make sure that we have enough confidence in moving ahead. We are getting a good feel in the back end activities but do have many questions in Front end area, such as
    ·     What is the best way to handle existing excel reports yet at the same time providing users ability to create new queries and excel reports. Currently users are using Bex browser to access reports but this is no longer supported for new reports.
    ·     Do we must have portal configured in order to access the new features?
    ·     Is there a risk if users open the existing workbooks with the help of new analyzer?
    ·     Is there a risk if users open the existing queries with the help of new query designer?

Until you migrate them to 2004s, you can continue to access the 3.x queries, etc. using the 3.x tools.
However, once you modify/save the 3.x query using the 2004s tools, it will convert that object and all related objects (variables, structures, etc.) to the new 2004s version.
A suggested strategy for conversion of BEx objects to 2004s is to migrate them by infoarea.  For example, convert all FI-GL objects together.  This method enables BW teams to create a "roadmap" for migration.

  • How to make changes to a standard View and save it

    Hi,
I have a problem with changing view on a standard query (0RPM_C02_Q0212_V01). I opened this in BEx Analyzer, made the changes but when I'm trying to save this, am unable to save or replace the existing view.
Do I need to have any specific roles/ permissions to do this. I'm on this since yesterday without a solution. I could not find any related post or solution for this on sdn too.

  • Hide column but still have the results displayed

I am working in BEx query designer 2004s.  Is it possible to hide a column but still have the results displayed?  If I go to the properties of the column and check 'always hide' it hides the column but the results do not display either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the query designer, you select Hide option for the returns key figure from the context menu. Now your report will not show the returns key figure.
But have the total returns key figure in the query and you will get to see the total returns as well.
    Hope it helps.
    regards.

  • Unable to Find The workbook on the Server

    BEx Experts!
I am opening a Workbook in BEx Analyser (Release 2004s, Support Package 9, Patch 3, Revision 370).  I activated this workbook from Business Content (My Cost Centers: Travel Expenses - Current).

I have tried with administrator access as well, without success.

    Hi Catherine,
Where you are creating workbook...? In production..? Is workbook  allowed to change setting is available...?
As i also faced same problem to save workbook in favourates,(BI7 and SP15) gives same error. After saving we can see workbook, but not able to open.
SAP solution is change settings of workbook to changeable in system, then it works.
    Hope it Helps

  • Filter in query result table not populated by criteria previously selected.

    Hi Experts,
I'm currently working on the the Upgrade of our BW production line from
    release 3.0b to 7.0:
    Configuration of target system
    BW system : Release 7.0
    BEx Analyser : Release 2004s, Support Package9, Patch 1, Revision 321
    Sap Gui 6.4
We're especially trying to check the non-regression of the non-converted queries in the new system (release 7.0).
And we get the following issue: After having selected the selection criteria in the selection window, the reminder of selected criteria is not done in the filter part of the target query result. Is it a normal behavior or not ?
Indeed, in the previous system configuration (BW 3.0b), the user is accustomed to seeing just above his result table the selection criteria that he had previously filled in in the selection window.
Please find herewith an example describing the problem.
Thanks in advance for your help.

In order to be more clear, hereunder an example:
    - I have a field untitled "Business Division"in the selection window.*
    - I fill in this field with the value "OND"
    - I execute the query with this value for this field.
    - The query result correclty appears.
    - I click on the "Filter" button to display the Filter table with the columns "Navigation pane" and "Filter criteria".
    - In the "Navigation pane", there is the field "Business Division".
    - For me, the corresponding "Filter criteria" should be the value "OND", but nothing is displayed...
    Thanks in advance foryour help.

    Soujanya

    Hi Soujanya,
This is known issue in BEx tools in this latest release.
We got the same problem and still facing.
We are using BEx 3.5X to access all reports.
Install BEx 3.5 too. Then you get two sub menus to access BEX tools.
Make sure that you open reports in 3.5 BEx Analyser.
I think all reports, which you tried to open in BEx(BI 7.0) are corrupted. try to copy to your datatargets/install (if they are BI Content Reports).
    Good Luck,
    Anand.
Pls give points if this is useful
