BGP on A9K: Filtering prefixes using Communities on iBGP

Hello,
We are trying to filter some prefixes to a iBGP connection but it doesn't work properly:
The rpl is like this:
community-set MID
15525:8657
end-set
route-policy Deny_Community_MID
if community matches-any MID then
drop
else
pass
endif
end-policy
This rpl only removes the community from the prefix, and the prefix always arrive on the iBGP neighbor, which it not what we intend to do ! What we intend to do is to filter out the prefix ...
On our research we find this which is absolutely different from the IOS behaviour ...
BGP community and extended-community filtering cannot be configured for iBGP neighbors. Communities and extended-communities are always sent to iBGP neighbors

BGP Support for IP Prefix Import from Global Table into a VRF Table

Hi,
is any ever tried this. When i uses a such a route-map for import ipv4 prefix from the global route table, it also filters the ipv4 prefix'es from the vrf route table. So I lost vrf routes from the other routers. I have tried to allow wiht a extcommunity list but I didnt worked. Is this a bug or am I missing something.

First of all, i'd recommend you to start a new thread in case you have your own problem to solve, unless your problem is related to the original post.
As for you question, what you have described is the exact behavior of a service provider with a MPLS backbone, it is a BGP free core, the P routers need not run BGP, since the PE routers will have LSP tunnels using label switching over the backbone and the P routers will just do label swapping and not IP lookups, accordingly the P routers needs not learn the BGP routes, but however you need all the routers (PEs and Ps) to run an IGP in order to be able to build the forwarding plane tables.

BGP Conditional Route Filtering

Hi All,
I have router with 2 Connection.
1) IP Transit from Tier 2 Provider
2) IX - Local Internet Exchange for local peering
I'm receiving full internet route nearly 500k+ entries. I also have few local peering through IX connection to local telco. Now that , Im receiving more specific route from IP Transit link compared to local peering . Eg
Local Peer A( ASN YYYY) send route : a.a.0.0/16
IP Transit send route : a.a.1.0/24
With this , My traffic to a.a.1.0/24 end up routed over IP transit link. But we need the traffic routed via IX Peering, since its direct peering and have low latency and high bandwidth capacity.
Im thinking, to filter AS-PATH YYYY from IP Transit link, so that anyy traffic to ASN YYYY will now routed over local IX Peering. But, this will cause traffic get dropped if My Port to IX or Peering Partner Port to IX is went down. The traffic then should routed over IP transit link if local peering is down. Meaning to say , AS-Path filtering should be removed if local peering to that ASN is down.
Any Idea how to accomplish this ?

You dont say if this is just one router with two perrings or two routers with ibgp between them each with a isp peering?
However i for outbound traffic you can use either Weight or local Prefeance path selection for your local traffic to be go over your selected link.
For inbound As-Path prepending would be apllcable I think

Namespace prefix: Using Anonymizer

Hi guys,
I'm having some difficulties using XMLAnonymizer for placing some namespace prefix's in my message.
After sending the message, I can check on RWB that the module Anonymizer is loaded, but results in the following:

Well, why do I have message empty? to what message is he referring to?
Why do I need Anonymizer? Well, the thing is, some namespace prefixes are not being place on the sent message. Without this prefixes the actual mapping fails and no fields are mapped....

I've checked my message but a strange thing happened, maybe I've misunderstood the anonymizer function....
The original message was:
So the namespaces introduced were deleted. But What I thought it was going to happen was that the Anonymizer would introduce the prefix ns0 and ns1 on the tags that had the namespace declaration.... Is this possible with the anonymizer?

Filtering records using a start routine inside the update rules for a dmart

Hi
I am using a start routine inside the update rules. I want to filter out all records that have 0 in all three fields. My problem is that it not only filters these records, but also filter records with negative values, which I do not want. Only 1 field has a negative value, the other 2 have 0.
I have tried:
DELETE DATA_PACKAGE where /BIC/ZBILLCONS = 0 and /BIC/ZBREVPRIM = 0 and /BIC/ZBREVSUBO = 0 .
DELETE DATA_PACKAGE where ( /BIC/ZBILLCONS = 0 and /BIC/ZBREVPRIM = 0 and /BIC/ZBREVSUBO = 0 ).
also tried:
delete DATA_PACKAGE where /BIC/ZBILLCONS IS INITIAL and
/BIC/ZBREVPRIM IS INITIAL and /BIC/ZBREVSUBO IS INITIAL.
The records are going to 1 cube and 1 ODS, I only have the start routine in 1 update rule. I view the filtering in the PSA.
Has anyone ran into this before?

No Filtering while using PNP DB

I am using PNP DB to get the HR data...
I m giving the data range in the std selection screen ...
but it is not filtering the data on the basis of data range....
it is giving all the data which are present in the DB...

Best way to implement view filtering when using AssocoationConsistent(true)

Hi,
I need to retrieve all existing rows on a table as well as all the newly created rows in the entity cache for a partial key.
ExecuteQuery, with AssociationConsistent set to true, will return the rows on the DB and ALL the newly created rows in the Entity cache.
If i use ViewCriteria to filter the result in memory, the unwanted new rows in the E-cache are NOT filtered out.
It looks like i have to override/overload the executeQuery to filter these rows manually.
Is there a better way?

How can I select multiple people when filtering media using Photoshop Premier Elements Organizer 11?

I noticed that in using Photoshop Premier Elements Organizer V10, I was able to select more than a single person when filtering media. For example, I may want to find all of my photos that have me with my cousin, John as well as my friend Norm in them. With Photoshop Priemier Elements Organizer 11, I can only filter on a single person or filter on a group of individuals. Using a group does not always match the specific filter that I am looking for. Was this an oversight in the new version?
(By the way, this feature is also missing with "Places" as well... For example, I would like to be able to select Austria, Switzerland, and Germany media when adding an Event for my "Trip to the Alps". I can only select one country at a time.)
Any suggestions? Can we get this feature back?

Have you opened up the Filter menu, which opens along the top of the Organizer's Media Browser?
With it, you simply check the filters you want to apply, and the Media Browser will show you all media clips to which those filters applies.

Hiding url Prefix using webdispatcher

Dear Friends,
Need your help in regards to webdispatcher.
Scenario:
We have created ABAP webdynpro which will be used as application for enduser for punching the data via URL from internet.
e.g. Dynpro name: http://<ECC HOST>:8000/sap/bc/webdnpro/sap/ztest
As exposing the URL on internet directly is very risky and against the security policy. We have installed the Webdispatcher, where we have configure SSL in webdispatcher, now all the user come via HTTPS from webdispatcher e.g. https://<SAP WEBDISP>/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/ztest
Above is working perfectly fine, now we are thinking of hiding the Prefix i.e /sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/ztest
It means when from internet i call https://<SAP WEBDISP> i should get the same page but in this case complete url should not be visiable to users.
i mean https://<SAP WEBDISP> url should remain as is, but it should work like https://<SAP WEBDISP>/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/ztest
Can anybody share there experience or idea how can we can achieve this if possible.

Why are nd filters still used with digital?

I'm kind of new to the world of DSLRs, but it just occurred to me from what I know, that nd filters should really be a thing of the past. I mean nd filters are just there to reduce the amount of light right? This is such a basic thing to do when dealing with digital imaging. Other than holding onto the past, why wouldn't there be a way to set your ISO as low as 1? Or am I just totally missing something? I know some professional digital video cameras like the sony f65 have internal nd filters, but unless that's a software thing, then that also seems a bit silly. Can someone educate me if I'm not understanding.

Many "effects" filters are no longer required as the effects can be applied with digital editing software... so while it's true that many filters are "a thing of the past", ND filters are _not_ actually "effects" filters. What they do cannot be simulated by editing an image.
An "good" ND filter wont change the look of the image itself... everything should appear sharp and without any color cast. What it does... is change your shooting CIRCUMSTANCES.
Suppose I'm shooting with an outdoor "fill" flash on a sunny day and my flash can't do "high speed sync" mode... so I'm limited to max flash sync shutters speeds of, say, 1/200th (this varies based on your specific camera model.) The "Sunny 16" rule says that I the normal exposure for full mid-day sun using f/16 is to use the inverse of the ISO as the shutter speed. So at a low base ISO of ISO 100, that'd be 1/100th. But the side-effect of f/16 is a _very_ broad depth of field and suppose I want a deliberately blurred background. I can increase the shutter to 1/200th and this will let me drop my f-stop to f/11... but that's still a LOT of depth of field and no nicely blurred background. If I wanted to bring that down to, say, f/4... I'd have to find a way to dump 3 full stops worth of light. I can't just drop the f-stop to f/4 and increase the shutter by 3 stops to 1/1600th because that's WELL beyond flash-sync speed and my flash (for purposes of this example) can't do high-speed sync.
One really great way to dump 3 stops of light so I can drop my f-stop down without having to speed up my shutter is... a 3 stop ND filter (sometimes called an ND 0.9 -- every "0.1" worth of density blocks 1/3rd of a stop of light.)
Another _VERY_ common use of the ND filter is to get shutters speeds much slower than possible without the filter.
Suppose I want to take a photo of a waterfall and I want a slow shutter so that I can have that gorgeously blurred dreamy looking water. At f/16 my shutter is still at 1/100th... I could go to f/22 and drop the shutter to 1/50th... but that's still pretty fast. If I used 5 stops I could get the shutter down to 1/4 second. A 10 stop ND (ND 3.0) would let me bring that down to 8 seconds...
The final images in these examples would still have the same amount of light and there'd be no tint or color-cast on the images... what you're REALLY doing is changing your shooting "circumstances" which allows you to use different exposure settings than would otherwise be possible without the filter.

Filtering criteria using an Exit variable

I have a requirement as follows:
There are 2 info objects for Start& End Periods of project.
There is another Keyfigure(number of months) which is populated by calculating the difference of Start & End periods.
Now, the filtering criteria would be Start period, End period and number of months.
When the user enters the Start and End periods of the project and also the number of months, the system shoudl display all the projects matching the above filtering criteria.
Eg:
Project1: Start period : 01.2009
               End period : 06.2009
               Number of months : 6
Project2: Start period : 02.2009
               End period : 04.2009
               Number of months : 3
Project3: Start period : 03.2009
               End period : 05.2009
               Number of months : 3
Project4: Start period : 05.2009
               End period : 07.2009
               Number of months : 3
Project5: Start period : 05.2009
               End period : 09.2009
               Number of months : 5
Now if the user enters the following the filtering criteria:
Start period: 01.2009
End period: 12.2009
Number of Months : 3,
the system should display only project2,project3,project4.
Any thoughts on how to achieve this using an Exit variable? Because the variables Start and End periods are created on 2 seperate info objects.

I think you should create the two variable..
One for start period where user puts the start period:- 01/2009 to 01/2009
Also in the end period user can select the :- 01/2009 to 012/2009.
in exit variable you can take the user input and add the high value for strat period similar to user input..
and in the end period user puts the end month and in exit u need to put the start period in low value.
Hope this helps..

start period value    01/2009 to 01/2009
End Period Value   01/2009 to 12/2009.

That transformation is a result of careful planning, 3-D modeling, and layering. It is not just an effect. 3-D tracking, camera tracking, match moving, rotoscope, keying, and other effects can be used to create this kind of transformation. Without careful preproduction planning this kind of a shot/effect is nearly impossible.

Midi controlled filters, aka use mod wheel to change cut off frequency

Does garageband have any filters that you can control in real time via midi? Such as dynamically changing the cut off frequency of a low pass filter.
I'd love to do a classic filter sweep using the mod wheel.
Are there any midi controlled AU plugins that can do this?

Any automation in GB is done via the automation curves.
