BI Publisher bursting report Output stores in which table

Hi gurus,
I need to develop a functionality where in need to cut report output into multiple pieces based on the customer/invoice.
Like if i generate Pdf output of XML publisher report, then I need to cut again this report as per invoice number related to customer.
I know that bursting does this part and emails out. Based on the group it will trigger those emails to customer. Here i want to capture all those invoice wise pdf files into any clob custom table, which i will create. But I am not aware whether this files will be stored any else in the server of Oracle applications.
I want those pdf files need to be stored in to my custom tables else if already stores where can i find that information.
Regards,
Nagendra

For Example
1. click on Edit.
2. This brings to a screen where you see templates defined for your report.
3. On the Right Hand side, one will 'View Thumbnails' and 'View s List'. Click on 'View a List'.  Please make sure Excel output is part of outputs enabled for the template and also is the default output.

  • Scheduling Report output to a Database Table

    Hi,
    Scenario:
    I have a RPT - loaded on the BO server (BO XI R2) - (which uses a stored procedure and a formula to populate the report) which generates the data in a tabular format.
    Requirement:
    I would like to insert the resultant rows generated in the report to a database.
    Is there a possibility to schedule a report output to a database table?

    It seems that what you want to do is some kind of ETL, you should consider a right tool for doing this. For example, BusinessObjects Data Integrator. By BODI, you can directly transform the source data to what you need to the destination.
    If you still need the report for presentation, rather than purely using it as a transformation tool, I suggest you do this. Implement a Java program (.NET is also possible) to implement the Program interface, so that you Java program can be added to BusinessObjects Enterprise as a program object. In this Java program, what you do is: first, schedule the report, and then open the report, read the row sets and insert them to the destination table. This process involves the Business Objects Enterprise SDK and the Report Application Server SDK.
    Finally, you can in turn schedule this program objects, so that it will periodically run the report and output to the destination table.

  • How to caputre report output into an internal table?

    Hi,
    Is there a way to capture report output into one internal table?
    Regards,
    Amruth

    Hi Amruth,
    Use SUBMIT.. EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY.
    It saves  the output of a report into memory. Use the function modules LIST_FROM_MEMORY. WRITE_LIST & DISPLAY_LIST to retrieve the data.
    All these function modules belongs to function group 'SLST'.
    However the submit does not display hte output list of the called report, but saves it in ABAP memory & leaves the called report immediately. Since the calling program can read the list from memory & process it furthe, you need to use the addition ..AND RETURN.

  • Publishing the report output to PDF and Excel

    Hi,
    Is there any way to get the Report title, Report run date, Page numbers when we export the report output to Excel or PDF.

    Hi
    I am assuming you are working in 2004s
    <u><b>Exporting to PDF</b></u>
    For page numbering, add the following parameter to the export command, which defaults the footer to the page numbering
    <bi:FOOTER_RIGHT value="PAGEOFPAGES" />
    Report Run Date ... we have included this in a text element in our report, and made sure that element is part of the export command. The text element we have used is configured as a Generic Text Element and uses the LAST_REFRESHED property
    Report Title ... this is done in the same way, but uses the QUERY_DESCRIPTION property.
    <u><b>Exporting to Excel</b></u>
    As mentioned already, there is no sense in including page numbers when exporting to Excel, as everything is shown on 1 sheet.
    Report Title and Report Run Date are included in the export the same way as above.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers,
    Andrew

  • Obiee 11g Publisher Bursting Report error

    Hi
    I am using Obiee 11g (ver. 11.1.1.3.0) and trying to achieve report bursting. I have created Data model and Report. Report is showing result but once I schedule report by bursting to file,
    1. I am getting error (ORA-00923: FROM keyword not found where expected).
    2. where I can get bursting fail log?
    Its urgent.
    Bursting to file SQL Query as below: -
    SELECT     DEPT.DNAME as DNAME KEY, 'Standard' TEMPLATE,
    'RTF' TEMPLATE_FORMAT,
    'en-US' LOCALE,
    'PDF' OUTPUT_FORMAT,
    'FILE' DEL_CHANNEL,
    'E:\BIP' PARAMETER1,
    DEPT.DNAME || '.pdf' PARAMETER2
    FROM     SCOTT.DEPT DEPT

    Change your query to the following and then try it out; this should take care of the ORA error
    SELECT DEPT.DNAME KEY, 'Standard' TEMPLATE,
    'RTF' TEMPLATE_FORMAT,
    'en-US' LOCALE,
    'PDF' OUTPUT_FORMAT,
    'FILE' DEL_CHANNEL,
    'E:\BIP' PARAMETER1,
    DEPT.DNAME || '.pdf' PARAMETER2
    FROM SCOTT.DEPT DEPT
    Thanks,

  • Report output list to internal table using submit report

    Hello,
    I have a report that generates the output in the form of an abap list. I want this data in an internal table for further processing. the report internally does not do a export data to memory so i cannot use import later on to get the data.
    i did the following
    SUBMIT <report name> exportING LIST TO MEMORY and return.
    CALL FUNCTION 'LIST_FROM_MEMORY'
      TABLES
        listobject = itab_list
      EXCEPTIONS
        not_found  = 4
        OTHERS     = 8.
    CALL FUNCTION 'LIST_TO_ASCI'
      EXPORTING
        list_index         = -1
      TABLES
        listasci           = ascitab
        listobject         = itab_list
      EXCEPTIONS
        empty_list         = 1
        list_index_invalid = 2
        OTHERS             = 3.
    This returns the data in the ascitab, but the data contains additional unwanted info like lines and hyphens etc. Also the data is in a table with a single column, so pulling out individuals fields is again an issue. Is there a way to get this data into an internal table directly?
    best regards,
    Suraj

    hi suraj
    export the internal table  of report
    DATA: BEGIN OF SR_VBAK ,
          VBELN LIKE VBAK-VBELN,
          END OF SR_VBAK.
    DATA: IR_VBAK LIKE STANDARD TABLE OF SR_VBAK WITH HEADER LINE.
    EXPORT IR_VBAK TO MEMORY ID 'SALES'.
           SUBMIT <program name in which u want internal table records > AND RETURN.
    now import that data in submit program  .
    here u have to creat a internal table with same structure as the internal table from which u r trying to export the data
    DATA: BEGIN OF SR_VBAK,
          VBELN LIKE VBAK-VBELN,
          END OF SR_VBAK.
    DATA : IR_VBAK LIKE STANDARD TABLE OF SR_VBAK WITH HEADER LINE.
    IMPORT IR_VBAK FROM MEMORY ID 'SALES'.

  • Smartform XML output stored in which table?

    Hi Folks,
    I wanted to know the  table where SAP stores the XML output of a Smartform...
    If not tables , please let me know where the output is stored....
    Thanks
    Reddy

    Hello Reddy,
    I suppose you are you calling Smartform execution with this kind of call (more or less):
    CALL FUNCTION v_fm_name
         EXPORTING
           ARCHIVE_INDEX                                   = s_archive_index
           ARCHIVE_INDEX_TAB                         = s_archive_index_tab
           ARCHIVE_PARAMETERS                    = s_archive_params
           CONTROL_PARAMETERS                  = s_control_param
           MAIL_APPL_OBJ                                   = s_mail_appl_obj
           MAIL_RECIPIENT                                  = s_mail_recipient
           MAIL_SENDER                                      = s_mail_sender
           OUTPUT_OPTIONS                              = s_output_options
           USER_SETTINGS                                 = 'X'
           LV_SALES                                               = p_sales
           LV_PADDR                                             = v_address_num
           LV_ADRNR                                             = v_adrnr
           LV_EQUNR                                             = v_equnr
           LV_SERNR                                             = v_sernr
         IMPORTING
           DOCUMENT_OUTPUT_INFO             =  s_doc_output_info
           JOB_OUTPUT_INFO                            =  s_job_output_info
         EXCEPTIONS
           FORMATTING_ERROR                        = 1
           INTERNAL_ERROR                              = 2
           SEND_ERROR                                      = 3
           USER_CANCELED                               = 4
           OTHERS                                                  = 5.
    You can get the document XML in the IMPORTING parameter JOB_OUTPUT_INFO, for example to download the XML document you can do something like this:
         LOOP AT s_job_output_info-xsfdata INTO xsf_line.
              l_line = xsf_line.
              APPEND l_line TO l_table.
         ENDLOOP.
         CALL FUNCTION 'GUI_DOWNLOAD'
              EXPORTING
                   filename                        = 'C:\temp\test.xml'
              TABLES
                   data_tab                        = l_table.
    I am not sure the data is stored internally in any databse table (in addition to be return in the JOB_OUTPUT_INFO parameter).

  • What report will tell me which tables/fields are used in a transaction

    Hi
    I'm new to SAP, but was wondering how I can navigate the data dictionary so I can get a list of all the tables, fields and field details for all fields used in the following transactions: IW29, IW39 and IW49N.
    Thanks and take care,
    Shayne

    Hi,
    Welcome to SAP!
    There are two ways to find what are all the tables used in the program,
    1. Easy & Effective way is to use ST05 and do SQL Trace.
    2. Normally, when you want to see the corresponding code in the program related to database activities, then do this,
        Goto SE38 --> Put the report name (say RIQMEL20) -> Press F9 --> Select data base activities (SELECT, DELETE, MODIFY, INSERT). Click Ok. This will show all the program lines.

  • ADF Report output from PL\SQL Table

    Hi,
    I am some complex calcualtions in the report and the report has a fixed number of columns and reports. Is there any way i can do all the programming in pl\sql and call this procedure/package from ADF and return the pl\sql table type?
    Can i create a VO from pl\sql table?
    Thanks,

    On Database
    create or replace type empRow as object (
    Employee_ID Number,
    First_Name Varchar2(20),

  • Ageing report place in which table

    Hi All,
    Customer Ageing report  stores in which table?I know customer records will be extracted from BSID. but i needed the ageing report output feeds in which table or feild?

    Dear Remya,
    If you are asking for aging buckets ex <=30, 31- 60 , 61-180 days , these information are calculated on real time, based on formula , i dont think so it is stored in tables ,
    Formula for this will be , Baseline date + payment terms days = Net Due date ,then  Net due Date - Open item date (for which report is executed ) will be the Net due days, which will be shown in respective buckets.
    kindly let me know if you need any more details.
    thanks and regards

  • Report output as an attachment in.XLS format via email.

    Hi all,
    When i run my report in back ground, my alv report output is to be sent as an email attachment in excel (.XLS) format. The issue i am facing is that i have around 40 fields in the output and i need to create a Header line with the Field Description in the Excel file. I am using the FM 'SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1', and passing the  report output in to the table CONTENTS_BIN     LIKE     SOLISTI1 which is of Char 255. but my report output header is exceeding that length.
    Kindly suggest me on how to acheive this.
    Regards,
    Jose

    Hi Jose,
    As for your first question you may place cl_abap_char_utilities=>horizontal_tab between contetaned fields' values. It will place then a tab mark between each two fields, which will be considered by excel as new column.
    Using cl_abap_char_utilities=>newline is also correct. I will probably only result in one extra line at the end as after you append your last line to BIN table, also newline will be placed. cl_abap_char_utilities=>lf on the other hand should be placed in front of each line as this denotes Carriage Return so it simply means: "place the cursor at the beginning of each line just before writing this line".
    Regards
    Marcin
